Self-portraits, Shoot #1 : The Woman in Black

About the shoot:

I hadn't done self-portraits in a long time, but had some ideas simmering in my mind. One day I just up and decided to shoot. I have a digital camera now, so it made the process so much easier. I took a total of at least 50 shots, 15 or so of which I kept. The idea was to be in my own environment, home, yet sexy and semi-goth (I am a goth girl at heart...I just don't look like it). I took special care to wear my cross, which is a symbol of religion and how important it is to me. Beyond that, I let the shoot develop as I went. I really liked the resulting images and digitally altered some of them further, which you can find here (to be linked). If you've seen my earlier work, there is still an undercurrent of the darkness peeking out behind the normal setting.
