Documentation of the Development Process
The purpose of the website is to provide basic
information about stained glass and its various uses.
Each page represents a different example of an
artists use of glass. For example, the page of Three
Dimensional Glass provides images and details of glass
used for this type craft.
Defense of the Final Product
The overall design is simplistic and has been
assembled with the intent of each page having the
same format other than the content. For example, the
navigation buttons are located at the top of each page
to provide consistency and ease of use for the user.
Another consideration that was taken into account
other than simplicity, was to make sure that the content
of the website is the focus and not the construction
of the site itself. For example, the color
for the background is not a solid color, but is a
picture of a winter snowfall that I believed would
provide a better backdrop for the images.
Opportunities for Improvement and Growth
Although this is my first attempt at building a
website I am happy with the overall presentation,
content and design. However, there a few items
that I would like to improve upon. First, the layout
in conception is simple, however converting it to
HTML is challenging. Second, I would like to
design the site with better images as well process
orders and be able to accept payment.
