The News Today:

AUDIENCE OF STRANGERS REISSUE

My debut EP, AUDIENCE OF STRANGERS, has been officially re-released online with a wealth of bonus tracks, liner notes by former Invisible Solid member Drew Novelli, and new cover art.  I also dug up an old press release from Matt Pischl's website that I thought was cool and slapped that all up in there, too.  All-in-all the original six song EP is there and has now been expanded to 14 tracks of pre-Invisible Solid-era goodness.

DREW REJOINS THE INVISIBLE SOLID

...For one show!  HA!  I know what you were thinking!  On August 12th, 2006, The Invisible Solid will be playing what is known as the second annual mid-August party in Bayville, NJ.  The lineup will feature Bill and I on guitar, Jeff on drums, and Drew making a return to bass.  Frank - our usual drummer - has a previous engagement that will render him unable to attend.  We've already been working on stuff from a distance as we all live very far from one another.  Drew and I have gotten together to work on some material.  It's all going to be about getting Drew concert ready for this show, as he hasn't played live since September 2005 - his last show with The Solids.  I'm sure we'll all be fine.  This is guaranteed to be a fun-as-hell show, regardless of how well we actually play.

In addition, Drew has expressed his interest in returning to the band on a
per diem basis, that is, as we need him (I think that's what per diem means).  Basically, he asked if he could be placed on permanent standby - a decision I felt I was capable of making without the consent of the rest of the band - of course I said 'yes.'  So we may see Drew out and about with the bad a few more times this fall.

PRINCIPEA DISCORDIA TO BRIAN:  YOU'RE FIRED!

Christian called me the other day to let me know that they seem to have found another bass player.  I have yet to call him back, but will likely do so this week conveying my approval of their decision to let me go.  Principea Discordia has been a disorganized mess since immediately after our first show.  So that's that.  I'm out of the band.  I wonder what Pischl has been up to these days?  Anyone need a bassist?

FAN PAGE

A small committee of friends got together and decided to start a flattering fan-page for my music.  It makes me go Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!  It can be found
here.  All songs will be downloadable, so take 'em home and enjoy them on your own time.  In addition, you may end up hearing some rare stuff, too, as I've passed them a handful of mostly unheard tracks from the vault.  So go forth, make friends, and enjoy!  And say 'hi' to Aimee while you're over there.

PREPPING FOLK - PAS

I know it's been a while since anything was mentioned about that little ol' LP, but FOLK - PAS  is almost ready for release.  I'm working on the album art right now and it's coming along decently.  I've just got to figure out how I'd like to design the actual disc...that's the tricky part and I may seek outside help for that.  Else-wise, I mastered the album a while ago and it's been sitting on the back burner while all this other stuff happens (the forming of both Principea Discordia and Twin Songwriters, the reissue of AUDIENCE OF STRANGERS, and my continuing plans to move out of my parents' house.  I'd like to have everything sent to the pressing plant by Summer's end because after that I'll likely have no money, so I've got to do this while I still can.
