| A Holiday Tradition |
| Here is how we celevrate Christmas holidays. Every year, a month before christmas, we planned to meet all family members in one of our homes. Then, we plan a gift interchange for teens and adults only. Each parent buys a gift for their children, also we talk about what we're going to make for dinner. The most common food is TAMALES,we plan some games for the children, such as a breaking pinatas, raffles or movies. A day or two days before christmas evening every family members takes their presents to the house we chose. We put the gifts around the christmas tree. Every gift has a name. On christmas evening, peoplewho are preparing the food, arrive to the chosen house early in the morningto have every thing ready by seven PM. Then, all others family members start arriving from five PM on.After every one gets there, children start their games,adults start drinking or having a conversation about their jobs, family, hobbies, etc.Then, around 7 or 8 PM. we starteating, having fun, and listening to music. Some people dance, others play cards but every one has fun, children, teens and adults. Every ones enjoys seen others happy, to see happy faces, big smiles, hapinnes on every one After dinner, games , and drinks. around elleven PM all family members gather around the christmas tree. A person gets close to the christmas treeto give the gifts. Every gift has a name for a person and the name of the person who is giving it. That person picks a gift and calls the name and the name of the person who is giving it. The person gets close to the christmas tree and gets his/her gift and opens it and shows it to every one is around the christmas tree. This continues until the last gift is opened. Finally, after all. Every one goes homewith their gifts well feed a stomach full of drink having fun celevrating christmas evening. This is how we celevrate on christmas holiday. |
