Eric Frazier Bio

Eric Frazier's music provides an exuberant experience in the traditional eloquence of Jazz

at its best; including Swing, Blues, Be Bop, and Bosa Nova. It also provides a pot pourri of music in the genres of Salsa, Calypso and R&B.

Eric's music offers you the gift of an experience that keeps on giving. "His music not only captivates the spirit of Jazz inside you; It cultivates all of the good feelings you have known previously in Jazz favorites." "Eric's performance on conga drums falls deeply in the rich tradition of Jazz rhythms. It is no small wonder why Jazz people feel he will soon be a household name."

In 1998, after hearing a solo performance in New York City, the legendary Drummer Max Roach was moved to tell the audience that they were in the midst of one of today's great conga drummers in Eric Frazier.

Eric was born in Harlem, New York City and raised in Brooklyn, New York. He has performed on BET Cable TV shows such as, Jazz Discovery and BET On Jazz and hosted his own TV talk show called "Cultural Horizons" on Queens NY public access TV. He has made many Cable TV appearances on The "Jazzy Jazz" show and the "Carribean Soul" television show on Brooklyn Public Access TV(BCAT).

Eric has performed with great artists including Reggie Workman, Pharoah Sanders, Carlos Garnett, Jack McDuff, Olatunji, Katherine Dunham, and Charles Moore.

He is the author of poetry books entitled: Family ,Friends and You; Thought of a Black Child; and Black Gold and You. In 2001, Eric's poem, titled "Rhythm", also the first track on Eric's Count Your Blessings CD, was featured in the November 2000 issue of Essence Magazine.

Eric was educated at the famed Boys High School in Brooklyn NY, and received the B.A. at Southern Illinois University. He recieved two Masters degrees and a Doctoral ABD in Education Administration at Columbia University Teachers College, New York.

Eric continues to create inspirational music for "good people". Eric Frazier resides in New York.
