About Eric Carr
He was born Paul Charles Caravello on July 12, 1950 in Brooklyn, New York. He went to high school at the Manhattan High School of Art and Design where he majored in cartooning and photography. It was then that he became interested in playing drums because of the Beatles. His first band was the Allores but then he started his own band called the Cellarmen. He was in several bands including Salt and Pepper and Creation before auditioning for KISS in 1980. He became the new drummer and changed his name to Eric Carr. He was in KISS for 11 years and made many great records with the band including Hot in The Shade which included the song Little Caesar written by Eric that features him singing, playing drums, and playing bass guitar. Eric's last show with KISS was in New York, Nov. 1990. In April 1991 he had an operation to remove a tumor from his heart and was diagnosed with cancer in May. He died November 24, 1991. He is buried in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Middle Hope, NY near Newburgh. He now has two videos called Tale of the Fox and Inside Tale of the Fox which tell about his life and his time with the band. There is also a cd called Rockology that has all of the demos that Eric and Bruce Kulick worked together on. Some of the songs from his cartoon the Rockheads are also on this cd.
Rest in Peace Eric.  You are missed.

The third picture was taken outside the Mausoleum. I have an interesting story to go with this one. The day before when it had started to snow, me and my best friend Theia had already gotten to the hotel where we were staying upstate NY. We went down the road from the hotel in the blizzard to see Eric and got there just before the guy that runs the place closed the Mausoleum. He was really nice and let us go in for a few minutes while he was plowing. I bet Eric would think we were crazy to drive there in a blizzard! So this picture was taken the next day when we came back to spend some more time there, (actually we stayed there for 4 hours!!!) This is all the snow we got.
