I
Your heart beats faster, now it pounds.
Terror wells, choking off your scream.
The shriek echoes as it rebounds.
Your heart beats faster, now it pounds,
Listening to those frightful sounds.
Realizing it's not just a dream,
Your heart beats faster, now it pounds.
Terror wells, choking off your scream.
II
Now drowning in dark silence there,
You're holding your breath out of fear.
There frozen in time with shocked stare.
Now drowning in dark silence there,
Red, evil eyes appear and glare.
Panic grabs you tight, as they near.
Now drowning in dark silence there,
You're holding your breath out of fear.
III
Trembling, cold sweat drips from brow,
As death nears, then passes you by.
While fear still holds you frozen now,
Trembling, cold sweat drips from brow.
Fears cold grip now lets go, head bows.
Lungs fill with air, then lets to sigh.
Trembling, cold sweat drips from brow,
As death nears, then passes you by.

I
Thunder, lightning, the wind wails,
Death's scream, piercing black of night.
Footless steps leave bloody trails
Thunder, lightning, the wind wails,
Evil laughter, echoes it's tales.
Unknown voices moan their plight.
Thunder, lightning, the wind wails,
Death's scream, piercing black of night.
II
The black shrouded figure stalks,
Madness feeding endless quests,
It's prey sits in chair and rocks,
The black shrouded figure stalks.
Ripping flesh, screams, it's laughter mocks.
Sated not,it never rests,
The black shrouded figure stalks,
Madness feeding endless quests.

Late one night, as I walked alone,
Down a darkened trail unknown,
The wind through limb and twig did moan.
Now, shadows seemed to move about.
"Is someone there?", I did shout.
In reply, came an eerie groan.
I quickened my pace,
Near unto a race,
Getting the hell, out of that place!
The dark gave way to full moon's light.
I paused to breathe and calm my fright.
As I looked up, I saw a face,
Pale and floating above gravestone.
I stood and stared, at spectre shown.
My mind screamed out, "RUN!",
But my feet moved none!
I watched as the face laughed and spun.
That was enough for me, I fled,
Not looking back, onward I sped,
Until I collapsed, my strength done.
My ears then heard a muffled tone,
Looking up, I saw foot of bone!
As I tried to scream,
I woke from my dream,
With sweat pouring from brow in a stream.
