| Rhinos are the best animal in the world. A rhino is most known for its valuble horn, but rhinos also have some other fun characteristics.Did you know that rhinos can run at up to 35 MPH!! That's COOL. Also, the white rhino of Africa has a head that can weigh up to 2,000 pounds all by itself!! That's one big head!! Must mean that it has an extra big BRAIN. Rhinos are herbavours.That means that they only eat plants.The white rhino LOVES to eat grass. That means that it is a grazer type of animal. Black rhinos, also of Africa, are browsers. That means that they LOVE to eat bushes and leaves. The white rhino is the most socialble of all rhinos. A group of around twelve of them may stay together in a kind of herd. Black rhinos do not usually like to make friends with other rhinos because of its short temper. All rhinos have poor eyesight. A rhino that is fifteen feet away from a tree may not be able to tell if it is a tree, or an ordinary man. Rhinos make up for their bad eyesight with a terrific sense of smell, though. All rhinos also LOVE to wallow in MUD. They love it because it cools them off and keeps the bugs from biting. |
