Amazing. This has got to be the greatest book of all time. The way that everything is something else, the lively, enthusiastic, and wacky characters, and especially the wonderful way that normal things in our world are either literalized, or crazyized. All of those wondeful features add up into a great story that will be loved for years and years. My personal favorite book. Highly recommended.
Pages: 256
Pros: The way everyday things, like words, numbers ect. are all "made" in different places; the way the book turns words around so that they mean different things; the map located on the first page; a wonderful, humerous, delightful plot; the spectacular, original illustrations.
Cons: The book was only available in hardcover edition for a short time; rare, hard to find these days; the summary may not interest you and pull you in.
