Susan Flannery (Stephanie Forrester, The Bold and the Beautiful)
There was confusion in the air during the announcement of the winner -- some people thought the Susan who won was Lucci (Erica, AMC). Flannery was sitting with friend Ian Buchanan (ex-James, B&B). “I was sitting next to Ian and I still didn’t get it until Ian said, ‘It’s you.’” While definitely happy about her own win, Flannery did relate her feelings about a co-star: “I’m disappointed that Katherine Kelly Lang [Brooke] has never been nominated.” Afterwards, she also mentioned her disappointment that B&B didn’t get an Outstanding Writing nomination this year. Years ago, the actress won an Emmy for her work on Days. She was asked where she keeps her Emmy. She replied, “It’s been a door stop for 25 years.” She mentioned that her daughter has been chiding her, so she thinks she’ll find a more dignified place for this one. “Maybe the mantle,” she mused.
