On her first day after her Emmy victory, Susan Flannery was shocked to find a celebration on the set. “Ladies and gentlemen… Outstanding Lead Actress, Susan Flannery!”, executive producer Bradley Bell announced. The cast and crew cheered as she ran out from behind the scenes to stand next to Brad and her gleaming Emmy statue. Susan was thankful for her applause and immediately called out to Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke) to come stand with them. Susan again said (as she did in her acceptance speech) that she wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for both Katherine and Bradley, and she told Katherine (again, as she had predicted on the Emmy night) that next year would be her year. Katherine laughed and said she would be glad to. After the cake was served, it was back to business for Susan, who was directing that day’s episode.
