Stephanie calmed down and the physical therapist returned to help her with the wheelchair. Eric helped getting her in the chair as she looked mildly happy about sitting there. Stephanie was released and they went home. They surprised her with a little welcome home party. Stephanie told everyone to go home as she wanted to be alone with her husband. As Stephanie relaxed on the patio, Eric came with a rose and told her their was a dussin more in their bedroom (the 1st floor study had been redone to a bedroom). Stephanie told him it wasnt exactly the way she had pictured a honeymoon (No, I bet it wasnt) They shared their fantasies with each other and were happy just to be together.

Later, Thorne decided it was time to tell Stephanie he was in love with Brooke (why not tell Macy first? The poor woman still thinks youre gonna marry her!). Thorne told Stephanie who was furious. Suddenly she got up from her wheelchair and in slow motion fell on a glasstable which broke as Eric rushed inside. Stephanie was lying lifeless on the floor and Eric checked her pulse and breath. But nothing! Stephanie was dead! (Thats at least what the viewers thought and were horrified).

Eric tried to revive her as the paramedics arrived and took over. But it was too late. Stephanie was gone. Eric broke down by the fire place as Thorne held Stephanie
Suddenly, Thorne woke up in cold sweat in his car. It was all a bad dream!
We go back to the mansion where everything is okay. Stephanie is practicing some writing as Eric get back with ice cream.
Back in his car, Thorne decided not to tell Stephanie about him and Brooke after all (and telling Macy didnt enter his mind either)
