John McCook tells Soap Opera Digest that he and Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke) decided to make it as real as possible, and they got the slap done in just one take. John admits this was the first time he was professionally slapped in his career, and he jokes that if he did get a slap from someone, it would be longtime co-star Susan Flannery (Stephanie) who would have the honors.
