JOHN McCOOK (Eric) tells Soaps In Depth that he's used to being recognized by viewers, but now and then even he gets thrown for a loop. Back when the actor played playboy Lance Prentiss on THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS, he remembers being approached by one very special fan: Diana Ross! Upon further reflection, McCook says it isn't entirely surprising that celebrities would be included among the ranks of soap fans since they often sit around hotel rooms or location shoots during the day. As you can imagine, McCook says it's pretty thrilling to be recognized by a fellow celeb.
