Name: Dr. Elizabeth Corday

Parents: Dr. Charles Corday and Isabelle Corday

Family: Was married to Dr. Mark Greene who died of cancer. Has a daughter, Ella Greene, and a step-daughter, Rachel Greene.

Career: Elizabeth began her career as a surgeon in England. She came to America on a fellowship sponsored by Dr. Robert "Rocket" Romano, but was later forced to do another internship to be able to stay in the US, because her fellowship was cancelled. After a troublesome year as an intern, Elizabeth was promoted by Romano to an Associate Chief of Surgery, and that is the last career movement we know of. During her career Dr. Corday has been sued once for malpractice that left a patient paralyzed. Luckily she survived the trial and kept her lisence.

Personal life: Elizabeth dated Dr. Benton for a while soon after first arriving to America and joining the ER, but the relationship didn't turn out to be of the lasting kind. She hooked up with Dr. Mark Greene at the end of season 5 and stayed with him to the end of season 8, when Mark's untimely death brought a tragical end to their life as a couple. After her husband's death, Elizabeth spent a year leading a quiet life as a working single mother. She was asked out for a date by a new co-worker, Dr. Dorsett, and in the beginning of season 10 the two finally hooked up for a short and steamy relationship, which ended as it turned out that Dorsett already had a wife.
Elizabeth has also been the object of Rocket Romano's warm feelings since the very beginning, but so far the relationship has remained platonic and rather one sided.
