Richard Haerther
Richard D. Haerther was born December 23, 1954, and first became involved in music at the ripe old age of 1-4/7 (he counts his age in dog years, do the math) when his older brother Marshall volunteered him to run the small light show his garage band used at school dances.  At age 2-2/7 Richard and Mark Wall, one of his Billerica, Mass. High School classmates, formed Stingley Productions, running light shows, booking bands, and producing high school concerts.  Boston area bands they worked with included Clayton-Bod, Seth, The Incredible Hex, Mothers Milk, and The Sidewinders, among others.

In 1974 Richard relocated to Baton Rouge, LA, where he co-founded Richard David Productions, a promotional and talent agency.  Their primary client was motorcycle jumper Diamond Jeff Gutierrez, who was rated one of the top motorcycle jumpers in the country.  Richard negotiated several jumps for Jeff on CBS Sports in the late 1970s.

After a royal screwing by a major television studio in 1978 Richard dropped out of music and moved to Florida, where he spent several years working as a shipwright, carpenter, bartender, and beach bum before getting called by his brother Marshall in 1984 to come work as his manager and sound tech for a local beach band that shall remain nameless as the singer later put their recording contract up his nose (ahhhhh, Florida in the 80s!).

In 1989 Richard went to work as a stage manager and stage hand for Mark Robichauex Enterprises, working with a variety of national and international artists.  That same year Richard returned to school as a 4-6/7 year-old freshman, studying Theatre and Creative Writing at
Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, FL.  During his freshman year Richard had his first play produced, The Twit and The Tramp, a one-act comedy about the medieval legend of Tristian and Iseult as told by a street gang as well as producing, directing, filming, and editing a short documentary on the Development of Amateur Comedians.

Richard was encouraged to pursue playwriting by his mentor, Tom Bunch, and one of his college writing instructors, author James Michener.  Pulitzer-prize winning playwright Paul Zindel encouraged Richard to go to London, England, to complete his studies, where he contributed as a noncommissioned writer for the weekly comedy/news satire shows
Week Ending on BBC Radio 4 and News Revue at the Canal Caf Theatre.

From 2001-2003 Richard was Director of the Largo Cultural Center, a 333 seat theatre located in Largo, FL,  Richard revamped the programming and marketing, resulting in a 14% increase in attendance the first year.  It was while working there that Richard was introduced to Robin McNamara by a mutual friend, promoter Johnny Green.  From there, the rest is ????
