This poem is dedicated to one of my best friends. It was written on the 15- 5- 01. I just wanted to write something for her regrading her father and herself. I hope she likes it.

For Her

I know he seems so far away right now
In a better place than here you know

All you have to do is close your eyes
See his face in your minds eye
And remember his love
You are his little girl

Nothing in or out of this world
Can seperate the two fo you
He will forever be in your heart
Don't blame the One who gave him life and gave him freedom
Your day will come when you will see him again

He is your daddy and
You his little girl
He will watch you grow up,
Fall in love, get married
He will be in so much that you do

He is your daddy and
You are his little girl.

This poem was on the bookmark that they gave to the guests at her dads funeral. When I read it I thought it was beautiful.

In Memory of Brian Vaughan

Do not weep that I have gone
But rejoice that I have been

For I have known life to its fullest measure
I have felt pain and I have known pleasure

Tears I have cried in grief and laughter
I have known love and and all that comes after.

I"ve tasted the salt and bitterness of tears
I've walked in the rain when the day is done

Felt a soft summer breeze, the warmth of the sun
I've sat by the sea and heard the waves pound

Held the hand that is friendship, its richness abound
Yes, I have known life, and I will learn death

So weep not for me that I have gone
But rejoice that I have been

And that I have known you.
