Implications of artificial intelligence, the internet, and bio-informatics

The implications of a thinking, learning, artificially intelligent machine are far greater today in the age of the internet and bio-informatics than in 1964.

A good fraction of knowledge of human beings and activity is online today because of the internet, from which the artificially intelligent machine can learn.  Further, due to bio-informatics, and the advances in biology, it is possible that an artificially intelligent machine can decode all the diseases on the planet, genetic, accidental and otherwise.

Internet commerce should become more competitive as alternative web-sites for exchange and sale of goods and services are possible.

Weather prediction and modification is possible.

Alternative energy research is possible and travel to distant planets via advances in quantum physics is possible.

In fact, perhaps even it is possible for human beings to go outside this Universe and enter another Universe or to send space ships to other Universes.  Faster than light travel and computing should be possible.

In education and accident-free travel and spreading peace there should be significant advances too.
