| I'll Be There Part Two �Jeremy???� Nikki Seton shouted. �Jeremy Mhire???� �Nikki?� Jeremy said with a puzzled look. �Look guys, its Nikki!!� Gabe shouted. �Nikki!� Jeremy shouted as he jogged toward her. �How are ya Jer?� She asked as they embraced. �I�m fine, how about you?� he asked. �Oh I�m great! It�s so great to see you all again!� she squealed hugging each of the guys. �So how�s life been to you?� Nathan asked. �Well, I guess it�s been good. I don�t know if you heard, but Mrs. Middlesbrooks passed away last year from cancer. It was very sudden. Now I have my own apartment, it�s cute! Maybe I could show you!� she said excitedly. �That�d be great Nik!� Nathan said. �Sorry about Mrs. Middlesbrooks! How�s Pastor Jake doing?� Nate asked. �He�s just great! His sermons are awesome! Maybe if you�re still here Sunday you can come here him! I visit him every chance I get!� Nikki explained. �We�re here for two weeks.� Jason said. If you need to cry, it�s ok, I�ll be there the whole time.� They both said in unison. �You remember?� Nikki asked. �How could I forget? It�s great to see you!� Jeremy said. �Definitely!� Nikki added. They talked for a while, catching up with each other and talking about their busy schedules. �Well I better get goin. Her feelings for Jeremy were growing from a friendship to a special friendship. She loved him; she hoped he felt the same way. ********************************** �You look awfully happy! Care to share?� Nathan asked as he walked in the apartment. �Man, she�s just so beautiful. She�s just awesome! We�re going for a walk, I�ll be leaving around 9:30, k?� �Sure man.� ********************************** The next morning Jeremy was up bright and early, not that anyone could sleep over Jason�s rendition of �It is Well�, but at least he could get up, and not have to cover his head with a pillow and shout for Jason to put a sock in it. �See ya guys,� Jeremy said walking towards the door. �Meet us at the Caf� at 12, okay?� �See ya then!� Gabe shouted, but Jeremy was already out the door. He knocked on the door. �COMING!!!� shouted a voice. Nikki opened the door. �Morning sunshine!� Jeremy called. �Hey Jer!� she said giving him a hug. She wore flared jeans, a gray sweater, and her long blonde hair in two cute braids. �You look really pretty.� Jeremy commented. �Thanks. You look nice yourself!� she said grinning. �Did I ever tell you how much I love your smile?� he asked, wrapping his arms around her and pulling her close. �Only once a minute.� She said soaking in every second. �Well, ya ready?� Jeremy asked. �Sure! Let�s go!� she said smiling. �The rest of the guys are gonna met us at the Caf� for lunch!� �Sounds great!� They walked down the street to the park, where they stopped to talk. �Nikki, I�ve been thinking.� Jeremy started. �That�s a new one!� Nikki said sarcastically. �Haha Nikki, I see you�ve still got some sarcasm�� Nikki smiled. �Like I was saying. We�ve been seeing each other for a while, right?� �Yup.� �So uh�Nicole Elizabeth Seten, I love you so much, will you marry me?� he asked sliding a gorgeous ring on her finger. �Yes Jeremy, I love you too.� She said with a tear sliding down her cheek. � What�s wrong?� �I only wish mom and Janay could see us now.� She said smiling through the tears. �They can, they�re watching from heaven.� �Yes they are.� �Hey, we better get on over to the Caf�, I don�t know about you, but I sure don�t want to deal with four hungry guys!� Hand in hand they walked into the little Caf�. �Hey, what are you two hiding? Nik, you�re like glowing.� Nathan commented. �Yea� what�s going on?� �Jeremy and I are getting married!� Nikki practically shouted. �Congrats you two!� Jason squealed. �Thanks!� Jeremy said beaming. Over lunch they discussed wedding plans. Gabe would be the best man, and Laine, Nates sister, would be the made of honor. Laine and Nikki had become quite close over the past few years. Hand in hand they walked out the door as they were bombarded with handfuls of birdseed. Laugher rang out, and joy rang inside. When they got in the limo, Jeremy leaned over and whispered in her ear, �I�ll always be there.� Finally Nikki was at peace. |
