Genetics
One of my favorite professors used to tell us "genetics is fun, and it's easy!" Well, he was right most of the time. There are those moments when you had a hell of a time getting the "ah-ha"; as he used to say. It wasn't so fun during those moments. Overall, I think I had a pretty good mindset for genetics. Which is what where my current interest lies.

Genetic research is more than creating a better human or animal, it is about determining the causes of disease and birth defects. There is a lot of controversy over genetic research, because many people think of it in a negative sense, like what you see in movies. Granted, some studies do have ethical questions, i.e. cloning, but researchers debate those as well as the general population.
