| The Shovel of Ponz quest can be received from Vira in the Temple of Solusek Ro located in the Lavastorm Mountains. She is located on the second floor balcony on the west side of the temple. She is a gnome magician wearing the red robe common to all Temple casters. |
| As with all focus item quests given by Vira, the questing magician must obtain four items from across Norrath. Some items are no drop, but others can be obtained from other players or vendors, saving time. |
| The items needed by Vira to make your Shovel of Ponz are as follows: - Hill Giant Toes. Can be bought from others or vendors, or you could just kill a hill giant. - Ruby. Obtained from the Jewelry vendor in the blue building, second floor, just outside of the North Freeport market place or the Jeweler by the Bank in Erudin Palace. - A Shovel. Obtained from the magicians in Najena or the alligators in Cazic-Thule. - Gargoyle Eyes. Obtained from Gargoyles, Castle Mistmoore. |
| Note: All Giant toes (Frost, Fire and Ice) can be obtained from Gornit, a named Hill Giant in the Ocean of Tears. |
