| This is a page dedicated to my 22 yr old Quarter horse gelding, Scooter's Gain, A.K.A Gain. Gain was given to me last year, I will now tell you about his history... At first (as i'm told ? i'm so confused about his history.) he competed in reining and was really good, i think he even has ROMs in it, after his reining time he was turned into a High school rodeo horse. Supposedly he was SOOOOOOOO good someone got jelous and they cut him... from the point his neck meets his chest down to the inside of his leg! yes you read correctly... he was CUT! I think after he healed he was still used as a barrel racer, I know he was turned into a roper... thats why he is now spooky... |

| hands in front of him, and don't think about getting on him when someone is holding he'll fly back before you get your toe in the stirrup. He is the sweetest thing though... Ok so now we own him... right now he is lame in his right front foot because of a anerobic infection in his hoof, we are treating it but it has caused lots of problems. Because of his past life he has arthritis, so now that he is lame he walks stiffly, that causes his knees and hocks to hurt which makes his shoulder and back hurt... with everything hurting he dosn't like to move much, which makes his arthritis worse, so it is a vicious circle. But happy news, we have found a medication that REALLY helps, I forget what it is called, all I know is that it is brown, powder, and really stinks. None of my other horses eat it. But it it seems he knows it will help him and he gobbles it up. Now he can Gallop around with the others!!!!! |
| The thing I think is the sweetest is that when he sees me with a bridle he gets |
| excited, but the poor thing is still in a little pain, His back hurts so I just get on every once in while, and when I don't ride I get him to trot beside me to get him to excersize. when he is better i'm going to ride him. |

| This is cheif, he was givin to us by the same people that gave us gain, we got him a few days ago, all i know is that he is a paint, his name is chief, he was hit by an big truck and now has a big scar. you can put your hand into his neck... he went on to be a champion barrel racer. |
