Cha-cha is my wonderfull mare... she is a 12.2hh buckskin pony of unknown breeding... I think maybe she has welsh and thoroughbred in her blood. Ok I will tell you about our story. I was riding with some people that I know, I was riding this quarter horse and they said she was to easy for me and that they had a "horse" for me to ride... Ok so i'm thinking they have a huge horse that i will get to ride... they call the horses in from the pasture... one by one huge Qh broodmares come up each time i ask is that her, is that her... each time they say no. then at the end of the line comes a little buckskin pony. They tell me thats her... so they saddle her up and I hop on... we ride in the round pen and do all sorts of stuff... I'm in love! My mom asks if she is for sale they say no, but we keep asking. Finally they tell me that i'm the only person my age that could handle her... (she had been owned by a person who let all the neighborhood childern ride her so she would take off into full gallop when you got on and owould rear when you tried to stop) So they let me buy her. 800.00. It turns out she is pregnant. She was bred to this guys Quarter horse stallion prince. Prince is a 15.3 hh black race bred qh... he was bought at auction for 500.00. ) One year later she had Kenny , a palomino colt. I have trained cha-cha to not rear and we are still working on the Dont run till I say so. ha ha. photos
