
ARTICLE VII - PLEDGING PROCEDURES
SECTION II - All candidates
must go through a period of pledging governed by the Pledging Activities
Committee. The rules set forth by this committee must be in compliance with
all sections of this Constitution, the Faulkner University Handbook and the
Faulkner University Social Club Handbook.
SECTION III - A special meeting will be held at the appropriate time each
semester for the club to discuss each candidate and to vote on extending
each candidate a bid to join Epsilon Phi Upsilon. The method of voting is
subject to the discretion of the Executive Council. At the end of the week,
the members will re-vote to make a final decision as to whether each
candidate will become a member or not.
SECTION IV - A member of another Faulkner University Social Club desiring to
place his membership in Epsilon Phi Upsilon must make his desire known to
the President of each club at the time that new membership requests are
being considered. He must also state the reasons that he wishes to 5ump
clubs. He must fill out a club transfer form and turn it in to the Director
of Student Activities. The Presidents must discuss the matter and if they
both approve the jump then the jumper must attend a regular club meeting and
make his intentions known to the club. At the special meeting in which
candidates for membership are discussed, this person will also be included
in the candidates.
SECTION V - Jumpers are required to participate in any and all subsequent
pledging activities as specified by the Pledging Activities Committee.
