Waerr'ess & Wethrina
There the sisters stood, each with their back to the other, leaning against each other. Each sister had hair that was so pale it seemed almost blue, but it must be the reflection of the water on silver strands, right? Though, as one came closer, the two sisters really did have pale blue hair. Each had ebon skin, and they looked the same from head to toe, even in the way they dressed. The two women looked up as one and over to the one watching them, both grinned at the same time, pearly white teeth shown between black lips, ebon fingers would lift from both women to wave at their guest. Then they'd stand straight and shift so they were now facing the intruder, shoulder to shoulder. They both wore elven chain that looked more drow in the darkness of it, though, it was almost like a woven shirt, the chains so finely enmeshed. Their aquamarine eyes watched with curiosity brimming, wondering what would happen next. The way their armor was cut, was a suplice over the navel, and left to fall long in the back, their ebon stomachs would be exposed if they didn't wear silver leather beneath the beatiful armor. One sister had her nails painted as black as her skin, the other had her nails painted silver, much like her hair, though without the blue. They each wore black leather breeches that creeked when they allowed and fit their perfectly sculpted legs beautifully. They both wore under those breeches knee-high black leather boots, though one rarely saw anything but their feet as far as the boots went. They both had tan leather pouches at their right hips, and on their left hips were swords that were silver, but enforced with steel. They both had black and silver crossbows on their backs, with black and silver quarrels in quivers tied to their right thighs. The one with the black nails would raise her hand and wiggle slightly webbed fingers at the guest, her voice thick with an accent that sounded elven and drow.:: My name is Waerr'ess, and this is my sister Wethrina, though we both answer to almost any petname. ::Wethrina smirked and lifted her hand in a brief wave, but stayed silent, waiting for a question to arise as to the source of their names.
The two girls were the source of all problems for their parents, being half drow and half sea elf. They're mother was no ordinary sea elf, of course, she'd been raised by high elves, and had lived on land her whole life, the only thing keeping her alive all those years was a small ring of air breathing that she'd had since she was born. Their father was a drow raider, one who was very handsome, and had an impenetrable heart, like a good murdering drow. He cared only for what his matron wished of him for almost all of his life. When their mother, Coral Evenbreeze, was of the right age according to the village of elves that raised her, she was allowed to go off and explore as most young people are wont to do. She wandered near and far, searching for something she had no name for, and she'd often be shunned for being a land walking sea elf, most would tell her to return to her ocean home, or others would think there was something wrong with her since they had never seen a sea elf. It was no matter to her though, she eventually returned home to the small village, lacking what she had been hoping to find. Though, their father, Llieh Sargtlin (Perfect Warrior, the only name he gave his daughters or Coral), was another story entirely, he was raised to be the perfect warrior for his Matron, being an only son in a House full of women, not a bad thing for the Matron, or the House, but terrible for him. Though, he didn't know any other way of life, so he didn't care. Well, as he grew older, and finished his training, he was allowed to join the other males that served his Matron on raids, though, there would be one raid that changed his life. Then came the fateful day when Coral's home was beset upon by drow raiders. She didn't much like this thought, and she did try to fight back with all she had, but she was subdued, not killed, for the priestess in charge was intrigued by this sea elf, having little interaction with them herself, and was curious to expirament with her. Well, guess who had to watch her, you guessed it. Sargtlin wasn't too happy about it, he'd rather go off and find other things to do than watch over a sea elf that was too proud for her own good. The priestess mentioned to the Matron Mother the growing hatred between the two, and, well, it was to be expected that the two would be manipulated by the wicked drow women of the House. All too soon, Coral was pregnant with Sargtlin's children, and she hated it, but try as she might, she could not rid herself of them. The two girls lost their mother to childbirth, Coral wasn't strong enough to bear two children, perhaps, if she hadn't been taken from her home, and half-starved, then she would have been, but under those conditions, she lost her life so her children could live. The girls were both named Deceit, one in the elven tongue, and the other in the drow tongue, since they were often deceiving everyone into thinking that one was the other. They were raised in a drow House, and they amused the Matron, but they were beneath most of the males of the House, not that they seemed to care. Waerr'ess was forever leaving traps and leading the males into trouble, though she never seemed to be punished for it. Wethrina, on the other hand, was quiet and more like her mother than like the drow she was always around. It wasn't hard for the girls to blend into the drow society, since they both looked so unmistakably drow, and since their was no light in the Underdark, it was rare for anyone to notice their eye or hair color, except for their Matron. The woman finally cast them out, fed up with their practical jokes and the way they never embraced drow society. The two girls could have been great in the Matron's eyes, and yet, they never seemed to amount to anything. So, together, as always, they struck out, knowing the way from following a few raids to the surface, and faced little difficulty in arriving on the surface. Though, now they only have each other, but they are rarely ever seen together, so it's hard to know if you've met Waerr'ess or Wethrina, since both girls look so much alike, and they both answer to the other's name, perhaps someone will puzzle them out.
