Elizabeth’s Reflection

The case was very disorderly. The first day especially lawyers of the defense team continued to ask similar questions that did not pertain to charges brought upon by the prosecuting team. The prosecuting team continued to object and after almost every cross examination of the defense team, the lawyers and judge would have to discuss the point of the questions being asked. Lawyers from both sides called out and the defense team continued arguing even when the Judge made a decision. During the closing statement of the prosecution, the defense continued to make remarks, inappropriately interrupting the prosecuting lawyer. The closing statement of the defense team ended with a random subject, the lawyer sitting down laughing. Jack Merridew was found guilty of all the charges brought against him such as, inciting a mob, accessory to murder, aiding and abetting, accomplice, man slaughter I, accessory after the fact, conspiracy, and attempted murder.
