| Hi again, it's actually my first time creating a web site,so excuse me if I can't please you all hehe.Anyway,as you could tell,my fascination towards the automobile is expressed through this site. I have been a fan of the so called car ever since I was a little kid..From then on,till now, that has been my passion. So upon creating such website,I wanted to take this opportunity to share to all my fellow enthusiasts, that my frustration is expressed here.Because like most of us that are on a very tight budget, and of course, desire that right,unique,stand-out,fast car,we want that certain car sooo bad, that we'd do almost anything just to get to that point where everything is complete. My very first car was a chunk of metal on wheels, and it was called a B.M.W,83 that is...This was given to me by my dad back when I was still at high school. It had all sorts of problems such as a dead cylinder,a leaking head, nasty set of fuel system,The only thing that made this car last 6 months, was the fact that it had a good set of rims from vega (by the way, that was back in '91)hehe.That had to go.so I sold it. The second one in line was "the" real car for me,and it was this certain car that really got me hooked on speed. This American muscle made me the meticulous type.I even had my very first engine mod,by means of chroming the valve cover and air filter. My quest for after-market parts were first realized through this car.Man! talk about frustration! parts (and cash) were really hard to come by that time for me,since I only rely on my weekly allowance.Ok,so this car was a beautiful cherry red,1967 hard top Mustang, with the original 289 motor.Unfortunately,A friend stole it.End of story. My third car was a Nissan Sentra, which was slammed so low, that putting 3 fingers under the car, would be enough to fill the gap of the ride height. My only mods were 15"rims that were wrapped around yokohama 45's,Springs only have been cut for that aggressive stance. No interior mods, only a pair of Orion 15's,mated to an amp I got from the basement.I totaled the car after only a year of owning it. After that, the next car that I bought was the Honda Accord.A luxury car for me?...no way! I started working on it right away.I started with a Mugen (1st gen from the 94 Accord) wrap-around body kit,16"GR-MAX chromes on all 4 corners. And rubbers consisted of 45 series BridgeStones. Here comes the meaty part,I did a project on that car so that I could join a show.I closed the entire rear passenger area,in order to make way for 6 12" kickers,(2 solo-barics,2 competitions, and 2 free-airs) highs and mids were marked up with beefy 6 piece 316's Mb-quarts.Amplification was done by Rockford Fosgates.A bridged 250-DSM drives the Solos,a 100 IX punches the comps, and free-airs,while the last 100 IX drives the high, midrange, and mid bass.An EQL equalizes the sounds, while a Coustic MX-5 finalizes tuning.Totaled the car for the second time.Don't even think about asking where all my system went. Next I bought a '71 Javelin AMX with a 401 motor,4speed manual and hurscht shifter. So what?! I'm not a domestic fan!...I just bought this to get around, since I was still saving up for "the" next car,yet again...By the way I still have it.It's not working though.Huh!...domestics Well, well, well, this is where it all totally started! my love for imports!!! my addiction,my passion,my third greatest love! (God is the first, and my world ) MY DREAM COME TRUE!!! (well,at least for me,for a guy who only stands on the middle of the society status) a '96 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS-T.At this point I started reading and learning about imports, just as Einstein was fascinated about physics ,numbers, and all that shit.I knew right away, that this car was the one for me.I even gave it a name,"EPLIKS" sounds funny eh? anyway, our relationship was a love-love relationship. That's the time that I could actually "feel" the car,It's uniqueness,I could even sense it's own personality apart from the rest. This is also the time where I really kept tabs on check-ups and maintainance. It's weaknesses,it's strenths.Every inch of Epliks I would know if there's a part that is not working properly. This part also made my wallet thin.Enough about that,it might just make me cry.Let me tell you what I did to Epliks that made her really happy,First of course, was the electronics,a Greddy turbo timer,a Greddy Profec B-spec boost control,an Apex-i S-AFC,a boost gauge by Greddy,a remote switching system, also by Greddy.Under the engine bay, lies a Greddy blow-off valve Type-S,K&N filter,HKS iridium plugs mated to R-spec 5.5mm silicon wires.Tanabe after-cat exhaust with racing medallion tip.Rollers consisted of 17"Konig Monsoons hugged by Michellin 215/40/17.I also bought a Kenwood double din system with mini disc player.Got leather seats.hmmmm what else?...oh lots and lots of fond memories. Unfortunately,I had to let go of Epliks due to some unavoidable reasons that concerns personal matters and finances.Took out all the electronics though before I sold it.AHU-AHU!!!! Epliks, where ever you are take care of yourself.,remember that no one will take care of you as much as I did!!! feel free to come home anytime! hehe My current financial status led me to buying an OLD 94 Honda Hatch. To cut it short,I got black Spoons 15s,Advan semi-slicks,custom dash gauge panel,R-spec steering wheel, shift knob, sparco pedals, chrome E-brake lever, and the old bone stock Motor that came with it.Imagine From an Eclipse to a beat up Hatch.Sorry lil Hatchie. |
