FALL SEASON OF SERVICE:
UNICEF: KICKING HIV/AIDS OUT OF KENYA
Info on UNICEF
UNICEF is an organization dedicated completely to children.  It is the only one in the United Nations to do this.  It works with other UN bodies, governments, and non-government organizations with the goal of assisting the needs of children in over 140 developing/3rd World Countries.  UNICEF has taken a prominent role in providing resources and leadership in the worldwide-project to eliminate Iodine Deficiency Disorder.
Key Club and UNICEF
Key Club focuses on helping UNICEF with another major goal for them, which is their project Kicking HIV/AIDS Out of Kenya.  This project focuses on educating young women in Kenya about the dangers of HIV/AIDS, and how they can prevent it.  This is done through putting girls on recreational soccer teams, and teaching them these life skills through the beautiful, world favorite sport of soccer.
