Egyptian Samiha Ahmid was condemned of killing her husband, and
according to islamic law a murderess must suffer the death penalty.
She was hanged in Cairo in 1986.
On the picture below she is standing barefoot on the trapdoor, while
her legs are being tied together. The executioner holds a black hood
and the fatal rope in his hand.
She is too scared to resist the noose.
Egypt uses a measured drop. It's supposed to be enough to break the
neck, or at least to knock her out by the impact og the noose
permitting her to strangle to death while unconscious.
