" you are the "average above average" guy. . . . . basically, I find that practically everyone that makes it into medicine is above average. you jon, me boy, are no exception and are thus good at everything you do (which is not everything of course). nope. stop. i don't care how modest you are. you just plain are. but. when i take some time to do some deep meditation on what exactly it is that you are good at specifically, i can't come up with a wits idea. thus you must blend into the background of all the other above average people around you very well. fall right into the middle of the bell curve in that population, that you do. so in other words, you are quite average...in the above average setting. and that, in conclusion, makes you average above average. you can't beat logic like that. i shoulda been a lawyer"
