THE TREES
AVENGE
Treebeard: These were my friends through and through, And now they're dead. I'll get him back as he gloats - Vengeance on his head! I loved the trees and the mice in their leaves. See a wizard should ken: Hobbits - even Ents get mad now and then. My business tonight is at Isengard With rock and stone, yes, and wood. Saruman dies charred! Quickbeam and Bregalad and more Aiding me We'll destroy Isengard And lay waste to it afore tea. We will avenge the trees, For they deserve all we can give. They were the finest trees - They were so sweet and sensitive. Their deaths are provocative. Break down the dam - do it now. Release the river! I think that we'll drown them out And we'll make them quiver. Make no mistake When the Ents go to war No, we don't mess about. It's what being an Ent is for. We will avenge the trees For they must have what is their due. Nasty deaths come to all orces. Stomp, crush, drown, bite and kill. This promise fulfill, Them we will cow. We will avenge... We will avenge the trees Right now!
