There is a stage at one end with a large Golden Turnbuckle statuette beside the back left part of the stage. The statuette is of a ringpost with 3 turnbuckles on it, with the ropes jutting out from each side. The stage looks very similar to the one used by the WWF for the Slammies. It is surrounded by ropes on three sides, with a podium at the front, and a set of steps leading up to the stage. The IWF/WOW logo is on the front of the podium. In front of the stage is where the circle tables are set up. Most of the IWF/WOW roster is in attendance, and almost all of them are in tuxedos.] In-House Announcer: Ladies and Gentlemen, please welcome your host for tonight's festivities, the heart and soul of the IWF/WoW, Mr. Anthony Edwards!!! [Edwards comes out from behind a curtain to the right of the stage. He is dressed in a black tuxedo, with a green bowtie and green cummerbund, and his dark blond hair is neatly styled. His hair gives the impression that it's so perfect that it is fake, but it is not fake. Edwards walks up behind the podium and grabs the microphone.] Anthony Edwards: Everyone, welcome to the 1998 IWF/WOW GOLDEN TURNBUCKLES!!!! [Crowd cheers wildly.] Anthony Edwards: Wow, it's been a year already since our first Golden Turnbuckles awards show! Time does fly! We have some new and old faces here which is great to see. [The camera pans everyone in attendance. Sitting at the tables we see many different people. At one table is the POW; Cooper Concrete, Christopher Stonebreaker, and Wuzho. At another table we see the MA; Robert d'Arotis, Shane Sanders, Dan Watterson, Johnny Skiles, and Vincent Bannister. At certain tables people are sitting by themselves such as the Idol sitting in a corner table holding onto his Intercontinental title selfishly, and AJ Stanson is sitting with Nevada in the center of the room. Other stables are seen such as Pain, Inc., and Traver's stable. The Inner Circle's table is a bit different. As the Prophet is NOT in attendance, a man who no one has heard from in over two months. Also, the Midway Freak Show table is a rectangular table to hold all of the members in attendance. A few tag teams are seen sitting at tables such as the Killing Machines, Dynamic Duo, and the Lethal Leaders. The camera finally pans back towards Anthony Edwards as begins to speak.] Anthony Edwards: This Summer Explosion weekend marks the second year anniversary of the IWF part of the IWF/WOW, and for those of us who have been here from the beginning, and those of us who have recently joined too, this is a special night. We will hand out three Hall of Fame Induction!! As well as hand out eleven other awards. Unfortunately not everyone from the IWF/WoW roster could make. Actually, only one man is missing, and that is the Prophet. No one has seen or spoken to this man in months. We all just hope he is okay. Let's get started, and everyone at home; _don't_ turn that dial because this is NOT the night to miss! Now, every awards show begins with a song, and being the host, it has become _my_ job to get this baby rolling. Unfortunately, last year not many people liked my rapping. So, instead, I'm going to sing like Roseanne!. Give me a tune! [The theme for "Jeopardy" begins. Anthony Edwards just sits there since he can't think of anything to say with this beat. He begins to get upset.] A _real_ tune! [The theme for "Jeopardy" ends as the theme for "Lambchops" begins. Anthony Edwards rolls his eyes as that theme quickly stops before an instrumental version of "We are the Champions" by Queen plays.] He's paid his dues, Time after time; It's time for Robert d'Arotis to put up or shut up. [Robert d'Arotis nods his head, but we don't know if it's in disagreement or agreement.] He's done his sentence, But committed no crime; Chris Shannon might as well keep with one simple name. [Everyone in the crowd agrees.] And bad mistakes, I've made a few, I've had my share of sand; Others have had their share of blood thanks to Mr. Martin Richards. [Martin Richards begins to laugh deviously.] Kicked in his face, But he's come through; And he keeps to go on and on and on and on; Christopher Stonebreaker seems _NOT_ human. [Christopher Stonebreaker We have the champions - my friend; And Coop and Stoney keep on fighting till the end; [The POW table seems a bit happy.] We have the champions; Leave the losers behind, Stay home...Idol; 'Cause we have the champions of the world. [The Idol is seen walking to the men's room.] I've taken my bows And my curtain calls You've bought me fame and fortune And everything that goes with it I do _not_ thank you Robert d'Arotis because you did _not_ create Stonebreaker! [Robert d'Arotis isn't too happy with that remark.] But it's been no bed of roses no pleasure cruise I consider it a challenge before the whole human race And I ain't gonna lose And I need to go on and on and on and on As Cooper Concrete will try to break Stonebreaker's record for title reign. [Stonebreaker pats Concrete on the back.] We have the champions - my friend And they'll keep on fighting till the end We have the champions We have the champions No time for losers 'Cause we have the champions of the world We have the champions - my friend And they'll keep on fighting till the end We have the champions We have the champions No time for losers 'Cause we are the championssssssss..... [A glass cup on a table shatters suddenly from the high pitch sound!] Uh...I think I'll stop now. [The crowd goes wild.] Hey! It wasn't' THAT bad. Anyways, we will get headed to our first award on the night. To present the Golden Turnbuckle for Best Show....Christopher Stonebreaker! [The black tuxedo of the Cajun, Christopher Stonebreaker, is almost brilliant in it's appearance, as the wrestler comes down the white marble steps, and makes his way toward the podium, where the small trophy stands. Chris pushes the microphone up just a bit, before reaching into his pocket and pulls out the white envelope, before turning his attention straight ahead into the teleprompter.] Stonebreaker: The IWF/WOW has long been a mainstay in the wrestling community, bringing the top talent together from around the world together each and everyweek for both fans inside the arena, and those of the television viewing community. While the wrestlers are the lifeblood of the federation, it is the staff and production crews who keep each of us, from the champions to the young rookies, fresh in the minds of the viewers. And it is those production crews we are now here to recognize. [Chris picks the white envelope up, and glances down at the back of it one moment, before turning his attention behind him as on the video wall flashes the words "IWF/WOW Show of the Year". in script writing. Chris then turns his attention to the front of him.] Stonebreaker: Now we give you the nominees for the IWF/WOW show of the year. The first nominee for the show of the year is the joint shows is "Control Center/Control Center NOT". [Chris turns back to the video wall, where the words "Control Center/Control Center NOT" in the script writing appears, before fading out to reveal a scene from the two shows. First we see one clip from Control Centre-NOT! on 01-08-98.] CM: Brothers and Sisters, welcome back to the Control Centre - NOT! It's good to be back after our holiday break, with more interviews, rumors and surprises for the New Year! And, speaking of surprises...here's one that caught everyone, including me, off-guard. (Choir-Master takes a look off-camera, takes a deep breath and continues) CM: It seems that Brothers Presidents Chad and Chris have opened their collective wallets and have actually _splurged_ on the Control Centre - NOT! budget. They've decided that for the first show of the New Year, that we should have a special co-host...evidently, they've forgotten about Brother Dhodes, as our special co-host this week is none other than Wrestling T.V. personality, Tony Shovealoni! (From off-camera right enters a squat little man, with plastic-looking hair and a headset. He sits in the chair next to the Choir-Master, folds his hands on the desk and looks at the Choir-Master.) CM: Well, welcome to the Control Centre - NOT!, Brother Tony. TM: IT'S GREAT TO BE HERE, CHOIR-MASTER, ON THE GREATEST INTERVIEW SHOW IN THE HISTORY OF WRESTLING! CM: (wincing) Why are you yelling? TM: BECAUSE THAT'S MY STYLE, CHOIR-MASTER! MIKE KNOWS ALL THE TECHNICAL TERMS TO WRESTLING MOVES, BOBBY MAKES SNIDE COMMENTS AGAINST EVERYONE HE DOESN'T LIKE AND I'M EASILY EXCITED...THAT'S WHAT MAKES US THE GREATEST ANNOUNCING TEAM IN THE HISTORY OF WRESTLING! CM: (speaking softly and rubbing his forehead) Why do the headaches come earlier and earlier every week? (to Tony) I have to ask, why are you wearing the headset? We have plenty of microphones here, you don't need to wear it. TS: YES I DO! FOR I'M CURRENTLY WEARING THE GREATEST BAD TOUPEE IN THE HISTORY OF WRESTLING! I NEED THE HEADSET TO KEEP THE WIG ON MY HEAD! CM: (rolling his eyes) Yup, gonna be a long night. Let's get on with the interviews...and the first is an actual interview, taken off the satelitte from some other source and sent into us...let's take a look... [The clip from Control Centre - NOT! slowy fades as a clip from as clip from Control Center on 7-25-98 fades in.] Anthony Edwards: Well, I'm sure everyone is looking forward to Ian Walsh moving into the 2nd round of the UWC Tournament! Don't you think, Rabbi? Rabbi: What did _I_ tell you last week? Anthony Edwards: I dunno. Rabbi: About this holiday!? Anthony Edwards: Oh - yeah! Don't do anything! Don't move a muscle, and you'll be fine! And you mentioned not to get a haircut! Rabbi: And _WHAT_ did YOU do? Anthony Edwards: I got a haircut because it's in my contract. Rabbi: Contract? Your life depends on it! And you dis-obey the laws of _our_ religion! Anthony Edwards: OUR? I don't think so. Rabbi: WHO do you think you are, getting a haircut? Anthony Edwards: Um...Anthony Edwards! Who else? Rabbi: Unless you have a medical condition, I don't see you getting a haircut. Anthony Edwards: I was bald! So, I needed a haircut! [Rabbi sits for a second thinking as Edwards confused him.] Anthony Edwards: Let's head off to our next flash, coming from "Striking" Shane Sanders! [The clip from Control Center slowly fades. The camera then turns back on Stonebreaker, who turns away from the wall, and back to the front of the room.] Stonebreaker: Since the IWF/WOW's existance, the Control Center shows have been hosted by our own Anthony Edwards, along with various individuals, including Hall of Fame nominee Derrick Damann, The Prophet, Choir Master, Eric Travers, the Rabbi... [Chris stops and looks around the room, at the various hosts he just named.] Stonebreaker: I suppose you need the bad with the good? But regardless of which side of the line the various hosts have been on, they have always given you to the best of their ability their points of view of the IWF/WOW, and whether or not you agree with them, they have kept the fans of the federation entertained. [The video wall behind Chris then lights up with the words "Monday Mayhem" in the white script, and Chris waits to make sure the wall is correctly illuminated before continuing.] Stonebreaker: Our second nominee for the show of the year is the show of the IWF/WOW's main event each week, "Monday Mayhem".. [Chris again turns himself around to watch the new scenes on the video wall. A clip from the main event for Monday Mayhem on 06-01-98; The match was Styles/Idol/West/Stonebreaker v. Sullivan/Prophet/AoD/d'Artois.] Jack Anderson: West applies an armbar submission and walks d'Artois back to his corner. West tries to tag in the Idol but he refuses! Stonebreaker offers to tag in. West tags him in. Stonebreaker climbs the ropes as West holds d'Artois ... DOUBLE AXE HANDLE TO THE SHOULDER! John Robertson: Stonebreaker applies an arm bar and tries to tag in Styles. Rick Wright: Styles jumps off the apron! He's not tagging in! John Robertson: The Idol is laughing. He turns to the crowd and points at his head. STONEBREAKER TAGS IN THE IDOL! Rick Wright: That's not fair! Jack Anderson: The Idol wasn't looking and was tagged in! He's shaking his head and is refusing to enter! Cooper Concrete grabs his hair and flips him into the ring! Rick Wright: DQ THE REF! Jack Anderson: The Idol is beside himself! He's yelling at Cooper! John Robertson: No one is watching d'Artois. He tags in Prophet! Cooper saw the tag! Jack Anderson: The Idol is still upset and isn't watching. SAVATE KICK BY PROPHET! John Robertson: I think he has the Idol's attention now. Jack Anderson: BULLDOG BY PROPHET! Rick Wright: Tag out Idol! John Robertson: The Prophet follows up with an atomic drop! Spins the Idol around ... Kick to the gut! DDT! He covers! 1 ... 2 ... KICKOUT! Rick Wright: The Idol almost cost his team the match. Whose that? Slade Waters is coming down to ringside! Jack Anderson: The Prophet tags in Angel of Death. They both whip the Idol across the ring ... DOUBLE CLOTHESLINE! The Idol is down. The Angel of Death rolls him over and applies an STF! He's mocking Styles! [The clip finishes and once again, Chris turns around to the teleprompter.] Stonebreaker: With Rick Wright, Jack Anderson and John Robertson running the show from the booth, and the stars of the IWF/WOW running the show from inside, and sometimes outside the squared circle, the fans know they will receive high intensity week in and week out every Monday night. A tradition the IWF/WOW is proud of, and will continue to be proud of. Stonebreaker: And our third and final nominee for show of the year... [Chris turns around to see the words "IWF/WOW Battlezone" appear on the screen.] Stonebreaker: Our third and final nominee is the 'rookie' among the production shows of the organization, but with Lady Veronica and Maxwell Stewart running the show, Battlezone has made itself into a weekly fixture in the IWF/WOW lineup. [Chris again turns himself around to watch the new scenes on the video wall. A clip from Battlezone on 06-06-98; the main event is shown as The Idol and Poseidon take on the Killing Machines.] ----------Highlights & Lowlights------------- ----A surprise change came to the match when Slade Waters came to the ring. Together, he and Idol destroyed Poseidon. Waters grabbed the mic, proclaimed himself the only star of Battlezone, and he and his "co-star" were going to wrestle the Killing Machines. -----Before Waters could finish, the Killing Machines attacked. The Machines were at their most violent tonight, they double teamed Waters, and rammed his head into the steel guardrail, splitting his head wide open. While they were attacking Waters, Idol grabbed his title belt, and laid both of them out. -----Idol wrestled much of this match by himself, as Waters was incapacitated in the opening minutes. For several minutes, the Idol was able to fend off the Machines, but in the end, they were able to use their superior numbers to overwhelm the IC champion. ----In one nasty scene, Demolisher lifted Idol up onto his shoulders, and Overkill nailed Idol right in the head with a steel chair, now, both Idol and Waters' blood stained the mat. -----Just as Demolisher was going to put Idol away with a superplex, Waters came too, and held onto Idol's legs. Idol leaned back, and threw Demolisher from the top rope through a broadcaster's table, rendering Demolisher unconscious. ------Overkill was soon double teamed, and before too long, Idol tried to put him away with the Peace Crusher ----Just when it seemed that Idol and Waters would win, Steve West and Richard Blair ran out, and attacked Idol and Waters, to gain vengeance for the attack on Poseidon. ----The match quickly degenerated into a brawl. At one point, "Hot Stuff" Alex Martinez entered the fray, chasing Idol to the back. After several minutes of brawling, the referee threw this match out as a double disqualification. [Announcer] The referee has declared this match a double disqualification! |¯|¯|¯|¯|¯|¯|¯|¯|¯|¯|¯|¯|¯|¯|¯|¯|¯|¯|¯|¯|¯|¯| ¯ ¯ ¯ ¯ ¯ ¯ ¯ ¯ ¯ ¯ ¯ ¯ ¯ ¯ ¯ ¯ ¯ ¯ ¯ ¯ ¯ ¯ Winner None (double DQ) Time : 9:55 Rating : ****1/2 out of ***** |¯|¯|¯|¯|¯|¯|¯|¯|¯|¯|¯|¯|¯|¯|¯|¯|¯|¯|¯|¯|¯|¯| ¯ ¯ ¯ ¯ ¯ ¯ ¯ ¯ ¯ ¯ ¯ ¯ ¯ ¯ ¯ ¯ ¯ ¯ ¯ ¯ ¯ ¯ [The clip from Battlezone slowly fades award, and the camera focuses on Christopher once again.] Stonebreaker: What is, usually, a hard nosed look at some of the matches that you won't see on Mayhem, Battlezone provides the simplicity of those people interested in wrestling, along with a colorful insight into and around the IW as Maxwell Stewart and company take a look into the happenings of the organization. [The video wall then fades out once again, before replacing itself with the "Best Show of the Year" script writing once again.] Stonebreaker: And the winner of the Show of the Year award is... [Chris then pushes open the envelope, and reads the card over one time, before turning back up to the camera.] Stonebreaker: Monday Mayhem! In-House Announcer: Accepting the award on behalf of Monday Mayhem will be Rick Wright, John Robertson, and Jack Anderson. ["Song 2" by Blur plays as all men make their way towards the podium. Both Jack Anderson and John Robertson are looking their best. Rick Wright on the other hand, is himself, being a slob. Christopher Stonebreaker hands the award to John Robertson, but Rick Wright snatches it from him.] John Robertson: Wow! This is the second year in a row that we have won this award. Jack Anderson: I'm happy that we won this award, because you won't find any better action on Monday nights! Rick Wright: Oh - Shut up! You two idiots put the communist in Commentary. John Roberston: There is no communist in Commentary.. Rick Wright: Stop correcting me! I put the COLOUR in Colour Commentary! I should put this award in my house above my bed! I earned this, and none of idiots! [Rick Wright walks off the stage very happy that he won the award while John Robertson and Jack Anderson are in disgust. Anthony Edwards steps back up to the podium.] Anthony Edwards: Moving along, to present the Golden Turnbuckle for best pay-per-view, Co-President Chad Ishikawa! [IWF/WOW Co-President Chad Ishikawa walks to the podium to present the next award. He is wearing blue jeans and a white t-shirt.] Ishikawa: I got stuck handing out an award tonight. And I get assigned the most meaningless award of the entire show. So I decided that since Jurkschat isn't going to show me the respect I deserve by allowing me to present an award I wanted to, I'm not going to show his award show any respect. That's why I'm dressed in my civies. Here are the nominees for some award ... Egos and Icons wasn't even a PPV! It was on free TV! It was a supercard! I don't know how some of those matches got booked. Obviously, Jurkschat was responsible for that crap. Look at End of the World 2! Great name. Why? Because I thought it up! But I am not responsible for the bush league booking for the card! I don't even want to talk about Summer Explosion 2! Here in my hand is the winner ... [Rips open envelope.] Ishikawa: The "WINNER" is ... EGOS & ICONS July 1998! Accepting the award tonight is ... ME! Because I did all the work preparing the event and I supported it from the get go! I had to fight tooth and nail with Chris to get such fine, high quality matches such as ALASKAN DEATH MATCH between Chris Shannon and Shawn Roberts ... WORLD TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH between Dynamic Duo and the Killing Machines ... NORTH AMERICAN TITLE MATCH - FALLS COUNT ANYWHERE with Alex Martinez and Richard Blair! I was the one that said, "Hey, let's put Mason and "Silent Deception" David Pietka and "Perfect" Peter Bourke and "Human Torture Rack" Ian Walsh and Harold Huge and Richard Blair and Cancer and Solitude and Zac Schneider and Poseidon and "The Southern Gentleman" Tommy Lane and "Top Dog" Rick Styles and Heatstroke and Charles Albert Reginald III in a Battle Royal and give them a chance to get a World title match because they deserved one!" So I accept this award and I will proudly display it where it should be displayed in any winner's house ... in the bathroom as a holder for a spare toilet paper roll! No, I'm joking! Why? Because the Golden Turnbuckles aren't shaped for toilet paper rolls! Another joke! I will proudly display the trophy in my home because ... __I__ was the one that came up with the name of the award! That's yet another thing that you peons should be thanking me for! Thank you and good night! [Ishikawa leaves the stage ... to no reaction!] Anthony Edwards: Uh...um...I'm speechless. Let's continue as "Striking" Shane Sanders will present the Golden Turnbuckle for Most Improved Wrestler! [The band strikes up "Jesus Christ Superstar" by Andrew Lloyd Webber, as most of the crowd boos. Shane is wearing a black suit, with the shirt untucked. He has his blonde hair pulled back into a pony tail, but as he passes by Cooper Concrete, he takes out the rubber band and throws it in the direction of him. Cooper takes offense and gets to his feet, but Shane pays no attention to him. He finally makes it up to the podium] "Striking" Shane Sanders - Just a guess here, but I bet, even those out there who hate me, know they'd rather have me up here, than that idiot Anthony Edwards. Am I right? [Crowd pops with approval, Edwards can be heard saying "HEY!" off stage] "Striking" Shane Sanders - Heh, oh well Edwards. You'll be out here boring the IWF/WOW again in just a minute, so just let me have my say. Now that I have pointed out the obvious, lets get onto the award. This Award is for the Most Improved Wrestler in the IWF/WOW. Well, I was upset whenever I wasn't up for this award, till I realized, Hey you can improve perfection. Anyways, lets get to the nominees. DYNAMIC DUO "Striking" Shane Sanders - Well, they have been semi-impressive in the tag team division, but anyone could be successful there. You see, I seriously doubt that they would be the tag team champions right now, if I was still in the tag team division, but I am not. All I see here, is two singles wrestlers who didn't have enough talent to make it on their own in the singles division, so they pooled their talent, or lack there of, to enter the tag team division, which is not all that great. THE IDOL "Striking" Shane Sanders - The Idol? I could go on and on about this guy, BUT I won't. He reminds me of myself, basically cause he steals my material! [Laughter from the crowd] "Striking" Shane Sanders - But really, he has been impressive, and I think he is the one to win this award, he deserves it. But of course, he might wanna win a match every now and then though. POSEIDON "Striking" Shane Sanders - Diamond Jim, Poseidon, "The Icon" Jim Shaw, does it really matter what we call him? We all usually call him a JOB -- No, a loser. You thought I was gonna say something else, didn't ya? If the higher-ups in the IWF/WOW consider going from 3 and 32 to 3 and 35, improvement, I'd hate to see what they call my record since I returned! "Striking" Shane Sanders - And the winner is....THE IDOL. [Shane Sanders places the award on the podium, walks away as "I'm an All American" plays. The Idol gets up from his corner, and walks towards the podium very arrogantly. He is wearing a tuxedo, black pants, red cummerbund, red bowtie, and a white button down t-shirt. He finally gets up to the podium, and raises his award high in the air similar to what Rocky did.] Idol: I did it!! I won the award for... [Idol looks at the name of the award.] Idol: For Most improved? What the...I'm not going to even ask. So, I guess I should thank everyone for helping me get here, huh? Well, it ain't working like that, babe. First off, _I_ have no friends. No one helped me, but EVERYONE was jealous of my great abilities, and NO one could stop me! You take one look at me, and that's enough. You know you tripped over the greatest thing! Stanson, Skiles, and Martinez tripped over me; actually only Martinez tripped over me since he's that leaning tower of Pisa! He can't stand straight more than half of the time! Anyways, I'm the most improved wrestler in the IWF/WoW, and I proved something that no one else could! I proved you can IMPROVE on _perfection_! I did it! You wanna know why? 'cause I'm Buff, Tough, and Good Lookin'!!! [The Idol is proud of himself as he walks off. Anthony Edwards takes his place infront of the podium.] Anthony Edwards: Up next, to present the Golden Turnbuckle for Most Underrated is AJ "Black Ice" Stanson! (An instrumental version of Dead Souls by Nine Inch Nails starts to play as AJ "Black Ice" Stanson and the gorgeous Nevada come struttin' out. Unlike his usual jeans and t-shirt, AJ is dressed in a stylish black tux and black shoes. The shirt under the tux is a nice dark blue that match his eyes. Nevada, walking in white strappy platform sandals, is dressed in a long dark blue dress, matching AJ's shirt, with silver diamond spaghetti straps. They approach the mic and AJ starts to speak.) Stanson: Good evening. (flashes a smile) I'm here to (Nevada taps him on the shoulder and tells him to move over) Nevada: _WE_ are here to present. Stanson: (snickers and kisses her head) Sorry. I'll restart. _WE_ are here tonight, to present the award for Most Underrated Wrestler. Nevada: It's great that the heads for the awards thought of this because sometimes the most talented guys can often go unnoticed, be it because they are in the shadow of other wrestlers, other feuds... Stanson: (grabs the mic)....or be it that they _just don't have that Stanson charm_! (grins and runs his hands through his short, dark brown hair) Nevada: (rolls her eyes) Reeeelax Romeo! Here are the nominees... (They both turn to the large screen and watch the clips) Stanson: The Man with the Plan, COOPER CONCRETE. If there's one guy that knows how to do it, it's him. A past champ, this man knows how to get it down and he does it with style. An old friend, and a past champ, this guy is determined to go all the way! Nevada: JOHNNY SKILES...Oh yes, the man that will get his senses shaked in a few days, courtesy of my man AJ! Nontheless he is a great wrestler as much as I hate to say it. Skiles, you seem to think that playing games with Stanson will get you somewhere, but until Summer Explosion, the answers to the questions of who is in cahoots with who will keep going unaswered, because we don't like to spoil surprises. Stanson: And finally, the KILLING MACHINES. Great guys... Nevada: Great team.... Stanson: Looking to be the best. Nevada: (Starts to open the enveloppe) And the winner for the Most Underated Wrestler (s) of the year is.....(scorns and shows the enveloppe to Black Ice) Stanson: *coughing* That's bullshit! Sad but true...Mr. JOHNNY SKILES! <"Foxy Lady" by Jimi Hendrix starts to play as both Stanson and Nevada leave. The Legacy Johnny Skiles walks up onto the podium to accept his award wearing a black Tuxedo. Anthony Edwards hands Skiles the award, and Skiles has a huge grin on his face as he accepts it.> Skiles: First of all I would like to address all the people who helped me receive this award here tonight. I would like to say thank you, and I would like to say that it is about time people wake up and see where the talent truly lies, and that is with me. Now I have one person in particular I would like to thank for this glorious moment, and that man is me. If it weren't for myself going all out 110% night after night, match after match, there is no way I would make it here today. However, in a couple of nights at Summer Explosion 3, I will not be the most underrated, I'll be the NEW Intercontinental Champion, so Idol shine up the gold because I'm coming after you. Martinez, Stanson don't get in my way because I will not be held responsible for what I do to you two whether you're in it together or not. [Johnny Skiles leaves, and recieves heavy boos which is mainly coming from the POW table. Anthony Edwards once again steps up to the podium.] Anthony Edwards: Thank you Mr. Skiles. Things are about to heat up here tonight as we are about to get to the bigger and better awards. To present the Golden Turnbuckle for Best Manager, IWF/WoW Colour Commentator, Rick Wright. ["Song 2" by blur begins up once again as Rick Wright comes to the podium for the second time.] Rick Wright: Looks like IWF/WoW couldn't resist it! They found the right man to present the best award on the night..the ladies of the IWF/WoW! Uh...I mean the Best Manager in the IWF/WoW. To win this award, you have to have a nice curve, a great voice, and best of all when we are in the be -- Anthony Edwards: [From offstage] HEY! It's managers! Not ex-girlfriends! Rick Wright: Oh - Yeah! The nominees for best manager... Nevada. Now, This is an art of beauty! She has it all to please ANY man! She pleased DaMann, Stanson, and maybe some others in the future. Heck! Do I have to even continue? We all know she's gonna win. Choir Master. Very good manager, not good looking, but a top-notch manager in IWF/WoW. Who else leads the way for our NEXT IWF/WoW World Champion, the Prophet? Steve "The Head" Lapommeray. Who? And the winner for Best Manager...[rips open the envelope, and begins to drool.] N-N-N...Nevada!! (Bittersweet by Fuel starts to play as Nevada gets up. She kisses AJ on the cheek and then makes her way up to the stage. She approaches Rick Wright and whispers something in his ear...Wright turns bright red and smiles to Nev. In return she takes the mic and yells..."YOU WISH"! She winks and then starts to speak to the cheers of the fans.) Nevada: I'll just make this one short and sweet...I always was the best manager, I still am the best manager and honestly...everyone knows I always will be! Thanx to my best friend AJ, who, soon will be a new champ. Bet on it guys, cuz at SE3, I may not be able to interfere, but Nevada _always_ finds a way out of a problem...that's just why I have this today (raises the trophy) Watch it, and believe it. See you all at SE3! [Anthony Edwards steps up the podium again.] Anthony Edwards: Keep the flow going, up next to present the Golden Turnbuckle for Best Heel; Kelly James and Big Dick, here is the IWF/WOW US NATIONALS CHAMPION, COOPER CONCRETE!!! ("Another One Bites The Dust" by Queen is played over the PA. From behind the curtains, the familiar threesome emerge. Big Dick is wearing a black and white tuxedo with purple-haze shades. Kelly James looks utterly fantastic, as she dons a white sequin dress with high-heels, and sunglasses. And the USNAT Champ, also wears a black and white tuxedo which is highlighted by the US/NAT Title belt around his waist. As they approach the podium, Kelly James is arm-in-arm with Cooper and her brother. The music fades...) Cooper Concrete: BACKSTABBING.... Big Dick: ...LOW BLOWS.... Kelly James: ...DECEPTION. Cooper Concrete: We feel that these words could best describe the next category, BEST HEEL. Kelly James: The nominees in this category range from royalty to royalties and to one royal pain in the ass. Big Dick: Here are the nominees for BEST HEEL... (C.O.D. by AC/DC is played over the PA. On the JumboTron, there is a Video montage of the nominees... "THE PROPHET" - flashes on the screen. Clip of The Prophet piledriving Hightower. Clip of a Low Blow by Prophet onto Cooper Concrete. Clip of the Prophet executing the Saving Grace onto Angel of Death. Clip of Christopher Stonebreaker on the receiving end of an Enziguiri Kick. Clip of the Prophet with his manager, the Choir Master. "VINCENT BANNISTER" - flashes on the screen. Clip of Vincent Bannister executing an Inverted DDT onto Steve West. Clip of Bannister executing the Collection (Pedigree) onto Destroyer. Clip of Bannister executing the Collection onto Tommy Lane. Clip of Christopher Stonebreaker on the receiving end of a Bannister Dragon Suplex, as he goes over the top rope and through a table. Clip of Vincent Bannister with Robert D'Artois and Hades. "ROBERT D'ARTOIS" - flashes on the screen. Clip of a Belly-to-Belly Suplex by D'Artois onto Cooper Concrete. Clip of D'Artois Powerbombing the Idol. Clip of Stonebreaker receiving a Spinning Heel Kick by D'Artois. Clip of D'Artois eliminating Wuzho to win the ID4-Rumble. Clip of Robert D'Artois and his entourage of the Modern Apocalypse. The cameras then take live shots of the three nominees sitting at their tables, as the audience applauds.) Cooper Concrete: And the winner of IWFWOW's BEST HEEL is.... (Big Dick hands the envelope to Kelly James, and she opens it...) Kelly James: THE PROPHET! (Cheers from the IC marks can be heard as the lights all go to black. The Alleluia Chorus from Handel's "Messiah" can be heard as it thunders through the auditorium, but the lights stay out a little too long as the music seems to get louder and louder. Finally, after what seems an eternity the lights snap back on as the music abruptly cuts out and we see the Prophet standing at the podium. But, there is a collective gasp from the crowd, as this is not the Prophet as we once knew him...the once blonde-hair is much darker and longer. There's a week's worth of beard on his face and his eyes are a lot...older-looking. Also, the once-flowing colorful robe has been replaced with a black robe, that is well-worn and slightly frayed at the edges. The Prophet looks over the now-silenced crowd, looks at the trophy before him on the podium and picks it up, turning it over in his hands before throwing it to the ground, smashing it in pieces. The crowd gasps again as the Prophet speaks.) TP: Well, well, well...gone but not forgotten, I see. I disappear for three months but you still decide I'm the man you love to hate. You would think I'd be flattered, but to be honest...anything to do with the IWF does nothing but disgust me!!! Last summer, when I requested a leave of absense for personal reason, I was told in no uncertain terms that I was to fulfill my contractual obligations to the I/W before I could take any time off. We argued and I made it clear that my personal life was far more important than any piece of paper I had once signed in happier times, but that was not good enough for Brother President Jurkschat and I was told to either fulfill those committments or leave the I/W. It was just the opprotunity he had been looking for all these months...his chance to destroy the Inner Circle once and for all...and, he took it. I wavered for one split second and before I knew it, I was out the door! Letf on the backdoor like yesterday's garbage! Now, you try to win back my favor with this "award"...too little, too late. Anything to do with the IWF is a part of my past...anything that has Brother President Jurkchats grubby handprints over it is something I won't let in my house...from now on, there is only one banner I will work under, one President I will work with and one federation I will recognize...the federation I started in, the federation I rose to fame in and the federation I put on the map! W-o-W! From now on, you will no longer address me as the Spiritual Leader of the I/W...you shall not use my name in reference to the I/W in any way, shape or form. I am firmly aligned with WoW...today, tomorrow and always. The time for change has come...the time for a new direction is upon us and the time of gentle beatitudes has come to an end. I am no longer the Prophet of peace and love. I am no longer a man of words, but a messenger of action...swift, direct and deadly. For all of you who place your trust in the words of Brother President Jurkschat...know ye that your little world is about to be rocked! For those who still place their faith in their Spiritual Leader...the Spiritual Leader of WoW...ye shall be blessed as you will be the one who will be doing the rocking. All I ask is...Do You Still Believe? (The Prophet throws his arms in the air and the lights go out again. After a few seconds of silence, the lights come back up and the stage is empty...the smashed trophy still lying on the floor. Anthony Edwards towards the smashed trophy, and picks up some of the pieces, but leaves the rest. He steps up to the podium.) Anthony Edwards: Oh my god!!! Prophet is back! But...not the way we want him. What is up with this IWF/WoW? Is it breaking!? I better stop asking these questions. Someone clean up this mess! [A crew of 3 men from the back quickly clean up the mess from the Prophet.] Anthony Edwards: To present our next award this evening, I am pleased to introduce one of wrestling's great superstars. Many times he is mistaken as an old competitor, but he is only 30 years old and longs for the style of yesterday. He has held both the North American and US National Championships and many other titles in other promotions. His greatest prize is being the Captain of IWF/WOW's Pain Incorporated. Ladies and Gentlemen, please welcome "Professor" Steve West. (Crowd applauds as Steve West enters in a tuxedo while 25 or 6 to 4 is played by the Award Show's Orchestra). Steve West: (applause) Thank you ladies and gentlemen. Tonight I have been bestowed the honour of presenting one of the IWF/WOW's top prizes. But before I do, I want to welcome the individual who will help me introduce the finalists. He is a man who has been near and dear to me over the past few years. He created Pain Inc in the old RCW and brought it to the IWF and later IWF/WOW. Without a doubt, he is the Manager of Champions having led wrestlers to EVERY IWF/WOW Championship possible. No other manager cn boast this accomplishment. So please welcome, my Manager and friend... Pain Inc's Iron Mike. (Iron Mike walks out to the tune "Danger Zone" and is met by applause from the audience) Iron Mike: Tonight, Steve asked me to help him present the Award for Best Face. Now to those of you who are not aware of what a "face" is, here's the breakdown. A face is usually one who follows the rules, obeys the referees, are clean - meaning no foreign objects, and play to the fans. So basically I've never been a Face, more of a heel. (crowd laughs and applauds). The faces are those who look to the crowd for support. But to the Marks out there, no heels or tweeners are in this category so people like Steve West, with a cult-like following is not eligible. But anyhow, I will introduce the candidates for the 1998 Best Face (Most Popular) Award and Steve will give some background on each candidate. Steve West: Each of the candidates have held IWF/WOW championships. All 3 individuals have had several matches and in some cases associations with the Professor. But one thing I am going to tell you about all three... I respect them all. Sure we compete on different sides of the fence, but these three wrestlers are also candidates for IWF/WOW's greatest wrestler. Each man has shown me that they have what it takes to be a champion, and I believe that the respect is reciprocal. Anyhow, the nominees are: Iron Mike: The first nominee is former IWF/WOW World Heavyeight Champion, BLACK ICE himself, A.J. STANSON. (crowd applauds) Steve West: Since the first day I met AJ back in the locker room in RCW, he showed me that he was a true superstar. From the days of the wars between myself and the Prefect against himself and Pyro, to our battles over the RCW National, IWF North American and World Titles, our battles have been endless. AJ led the Power Alliance for some time and his babyface role against Pain Inc was surely one reason why the IWF/WOW experienced the longevity it did. A true legend in this sport, he recently returned to a full time schedule and regained his spot as of the promotion's most popular wrestlers. Iron Mike: Our second finalist is the reigning World Heavyeight Wrestling Champion. The man who will meet Robert D'Artois at Summer Explosion, the one and only CHRISTOPHER STONEBREAKER. (crowd cheers). Steve West: Throughout the past two years, Chris and I have traded victories over various titles. One thing I can say about him is that he is a class act. Through all the troubles he has experienced as World Champion, he has remained a role model to the IWF/WOW fans. On a personal level, he acknowledged my own patience for a title shot and granted me a match when no one else would. As you know, a certain Mr. Bannister ruined a classic match, but Chris is likely to show everyone at Summer Explosion why he is the World Champion and why he is one of wrestling's most exciting and popular performers. Now the flagbearer of Peacekeepers of Wrestling (POW), Chris should be a force to be reckoned with for years to come. Iron Mike: And finally, we have a man who has taken on a virtual cult following. This man is someone both Steve and I know very well, he has held many titles and he is the self proclaimed MAN WITH THE PLAN. There can only be one... COOPER CONCRETE Steve West: Cooper is one of those interesting souls who has been on both sides. Back in the early days of the IWF, Cooper was one of my allies in Pain Inc. He was eventually lured away and joined the Power Alliance. In all, we have met at least twenty times in the ring and I think the record is about 50-50. He is a true legend, competitor and fan favourite. This man is one of the few who gives his all to the fans who pay to see him. Many wrestlers look up to him for encouragement and I always look forward to meeting him, as I know that a genuine challenge is before me. Cooper is without a doubt a future IWF/WOW World Champion. Steve West: And without further delay, the 1998 Best Face Award in the IWF/WOW goes to...... the IWF/WOW Heavyweight Champion.... CHRISTOPHER STONEBREAKER. [The crowd cheers as Stonebreaker rises up from the chair to a warm set of applause. The cajun makes a quick walk up from the table and shakes hands in particular with the people seated at his table, Wuzho, Concrete Cooper, Big Dick, and places a hand on the shoulder of Kelly James, before making his way up to the stage.] [Chris accepts the trophy from "Professor" Steve West and turns to face the crowd, as the applause dies down, and Chris takes a look at the statuette before holding it up for the observers to see.] Stonebreaker: It's been a long year for the good guys. We've dealt with the dealings of a few of the most notorious members of the I/W, both the obvious.. [Stonebreaker glances over at the Epic group with an obvious look of distaste, while the camera moves in to show the table of Robert d'Artois and his colleagues.] Stonebreaker: And the not so obvious. [The camera moves in to show the face of various people, like Idol and Alex Martinez.] Stonebreaker: And through those faces, the fans of the IWF/WOW have been turning to the people who have stood behind them. People like one AJ Stanson, [The camera moves in to show Stanson.] Stonebreaker: Desert Scorpion... [The camera view changes once again to show the Hall of Fame trophy, with the pictures of the nominees surrounding it.] Stonebreaker: Or some of the few men I personally trust, such as the Peacekeepers. The men who have stood behind the fans since the day they walked into this organization. Men who have the highest regards from the wrestling community world wide. Men who despite the struggles, have upheld the regards that this sport has long been lacking from those who worry about themselves and the gold first. Stonebreaker: Gentlemen and ladies, this award may have happened to be made out in the name of Christopher Stonebreaker tonight, but it goes out to the men who stand for what it represents, and it goes out to the fans of the IWF/WOW who want us to fight not only for ourselves, but also for each and everyone of them. [The applause is mixed, albeit strong, strongest by the "heroes" of the organization and the various dignitaries invited to the ceremony. The response from the "heels" of the organization, albeit a bit weaker is still there, as Chris holds the trophy up and makes his way down the stage and back to the table.] Anthony Edwards: As we are moving smoothly along, up next to present the Golden Turnbuckle Match of the Year, IWF/WoW Co-President, Chris Jurkschat. [IWF/WOW co-President Chris J. walks up on the stage to present the next award. He is wearing a expensive tux and has a serious look on his face.] IWF/WOW Co-President Chris J. - Many great matches have taken place this past year in the IW, which shows why we are one of the best federations out there. Our closest competition is UEW, and as the IWF/WOW legend Derrick DaMann said: "UEW SUCKS!!" [Many of the members of the crowd who remember who Derrick DaMann are laugh.] Now, here are just three which have a chance to be match of the year. [Scene fades to a few select highlights of the Martin Richards vs Jeremy Thranton match at New Year's Mayhem on January 1st, 1998.] IWF/WOW Co-President Chris J. - Martin Richards vs Jeremy Thranton from New Years Mayhem. [Scene changes to show Robert d'Artois winning the Independence Day Rumble at EGOS & ICONS on July 4th, 1998] IWF/WOW Co-President Chris J. - The Independence Day Rumble from EGOS & ICONS. [Scene once again changes to clips of Christopher Stonerbeaker vs Martin Richards from Christmas Madness II on December 26th, 1998.] IWF/WOW Co-President Chris J. - Christopher Stonebreaker vs Martin Richards from Christmas Madness II. [Scene changes back to IWF/WOW Co-President Chris J.] IWF/WOW Co-President Chris J. - The winner is.... [Opens the envelope.] IWF/WOW Co-President Chris J. - For the second year in a row, THE INDEPENDENCE DAY RUMBLE AT EGOS & ICONS!!! In-House Announcer: Accepting the Award, the winner of the Independence Day Rumble, Robert d'Arotis!! ["The Reflecting God" by Marilyn Manson start playing as Robert d'Artois makes his way to the stage. He looks a bit bored, and doesn't seem all that excited to be searching the award for "Best Match". He reaches the microphone and adress the crowd.] Robert d'Artois: Firstly, I want to say that it was a thrill to win the Independance Day Rumble 1998, and that I am accepting that award with a winner's pride. But, there's a few things that I wish to point. Firstly, I would like to note that winning the World Title belt doesn't prove that a man is the best. It doesn't prove a thing... It's just like a formality... Well... Not really... More than like getting easy recognition. What does it takes to win the World Title? Beating only one man... It can turn out to be a fluke, that very man can just have been lucky that night... Basically, winning the World Title isn't that much... In fact, in my honest opinion, survival tests such as the Independance Day Rumble, and the Ultimate Wrestling Challenge are the two true tests of strenght and stamina, and are the events that makes out the true champions of this federation. The winner of the ID4 Rumble has to pass trought numerous competitors, to endure extreme pain, to wrestle while being completely out of energy... They don't have just to wrestle... They have to fight for survival. And the Ultimate Wrestling Challenge is another event that marks the champions... The winner of that event also should be recognized as the champion, simply because the variables are put in a way that luck doesn't even come into play... You can have a fluke in one match... But two? And three? [He pauses a bit, before continuing on.] Robert d'Artois: That's why, I think that winning this years' ID4 Rumble, and winning last years' Ultimate Wrestling Challenge proves two things... Firstly, that despite all claim, I am the greatest survivor of the IWF/WOW. In two years, I have managed to win the two most prestigious events the IWF/WOW have ever seen, and I have managed to survive trought all of the situations... Considering that, for me, winning the World Title is meaningless, because, even if I didn't wear the gold, the moral gold, and the respect of my co-workers makes that up for me. The ID4 Rumble victory and the UWC victory shall be the two glory points of my IWF/WOW career. At Summer Explosion III, I may beat Stonebreaker, or he may beat me... But whatever the result is, one thing is sure... It might just be luck... It might just be a fluke... Because a singles match victory is always less tought than winning such events as the ID4 Rumble or the Ultimate Wrestling Challenge... And no matter how long Stonebreaker hold onto his World Title, he'll never be half of the survivor that I am. [He then leaves the stage, under the boos of his co-workers.] Anthony Edwards: What a night, tonight has been so far! Let's not kill the great thrill we are having so far, up next to present the Golden Turnbuckle for Rookie of the Year...[Having a bit trouble reading the card]...the Immortal Stevester and the Dark Master! [Polite clapping from those who don't want a beating. Steve "The Head" Lapommeray & DM are dressed up for the occassion, and then the Stevester rips off his shirt and cups his hand to his ear! Dark Master looks on, annoyed.] The Immortal Stevester: Well ya know something brother, there are a bunch of no-names in this place, BROTHER! They didn't even eat their vitamins, train OR pray to me, for I am the GOD of wrestling! WORSHIP ME! PRAY AT MY ALTAR OF PAIN! "Hollywood" Scum Lapommeray: I'm getting ready to spread some of my Voodoo Chili ALL OVER YOUR MOTHERS, BRAH! DM: Are we going to present Rookie of the Year or not? Hollywood: It's me, BRAH! I'm outta here! [tries to take the award but gets decked with it by DM] DM: The nominees are.... Alex Martinez Wuzho [Hollywood - from floor -: Bless you] and The Idol DM: And your winner is..[groans] The Idol. ["I'm an All American" starts up as the Idol rises to his feet, and walks towards the podium. Once he gets there, he selfishly snatches the Golden Turnbuckle from Dark Master. Dark Master and Lapommeray leave as the Idol speaks.] Idol: Now this is a REAL award. Rookie of the Year, the Idol. Has a good ring to it. I'm happy that I won this award because my competition was _STIFF_. Hahaha. With Wuzho getting some nine million title shots, and Alexis with his/hers broad shoulders seemed a bit _stiff_! Enough of this talk with the people who no one cares _and_ no one will know about after Summer Explosions 'cause I'm gonna be the talk of the town! People say that this award is a big step into making it big in IWF/WoW. One little problem...I'm already _big_! Who won this award last year? Rick "I shall be as a fast a bullet" Revoultion? Gimme a break! Whatever happened to him? Once he lost to Jim Shaw, he had to be fired since _NO_ one can be that bad...unless, your Alexis! Hahaha. Anyways, I was told I _had_ to thank someone for helping me get this award; so bare with me, and let me think. [The Idol puts his elbow on the podium and his palm of his hand on his chin showing that he is thinking hard.] Idol: Who helped me...hm...Slade Waters, but he's no longer with the federation. Uh..Shame Sanders...no. Christopher "I'm built like a Rock, so call me Ford and not" Stonebreaker, no way! He's lucky we havn't crossed paths. Johnny...no way. I GOT IT! Nevada showed me what a _real_ woman looks like! I think her for that! To come to think of it, she _will_ me my manager after Summer Explosions 3 alongside Lady Veronica...I can't wait! So, there! I thanked someone! And for the Idolizers who have been following since I set foot ground on this federation; I have _yet_ to see a _real_ challenge! I was told "how great" Cooper Concrete was. If you remember a few weeks ago, who was the man to get rid of the US Nationals Champion? _ME_! Then there was the Inner Circle legend, "Downtown" Doug Sullivan, I took care of him, and I _STILL_ have his belt. Idolizers told me about Robert d'Arotis, the man who says he created me, I beat his behind! Then the "great return" of the IWF/WoW legend, AJ "Vanilla Ice" Stanson. If I remember correctly, on Mayhem I defended my Intercontinental title _successfully_ against him! So, IWF/WoW, what do you have left to offer? You havn't found _one_ man to stop me, and you won't find a man to _take my_ Intercontinental Title! And most definetly, you will _NOT_ find anyone to take _MY_ rookie of the year Golden Turnbuckle! 'Cause I'm Buff, Tough, and Good Lookin'!!! [The Idol raises both of his awards in the air as he leaves to a chorus of boos. Anthony Edwards steps infront of the podium once again.] Anthony Edwards: We will take a quick break, be right back. [On the screen behind Anthony Edwards; the card for Summer Explosions 3 is seen.] SUMMER EXPLOSION III ---> SUNDAY, AUGUST 30TH, 1998 <--- !!! FINAL CARD !!! First off, inducted as the second tag team into the IWF/WoW Hall of Fame, and probably the most domant tag team in the history of IWF/WoW....AMERICA'S LEAST WANTED!!!! [The crowd applauds as "Everything about You" by Ugly Kid Joe plays but no one is on the stage. The applause stops and the crowd talks amongst themselves. Suddenly, Joe Kidd and Octane appear from the back and walk on stage. Chris Jurkschat was shown nervously looking for them, but relieved that they showed. Neither ALW is dressed special. Both are wearing blue jeans and white t-shirts. Octane grabs the trophy and they take over the podium.] Joe Kidd: We don't need no stinking theme music. IWF/WOW fans ... take a look at "Big Daddy Cruel" Octane and "Ugly Kid" Joe Kidd, better known as America's Least Wanted, for the last time! Octane: We quit this federation for a reason. We explained all that during our last interview and we aren't going to get back into that tonight. Joe Kidd: We are out here to celebrate the GREATEST TAG TEAM in history! We're talking about UEW TV tag team champions. World tag team champs in EUWF, Battlezone, NICW, and IWF/WOW twice! Octane: Now who do we want to thank? Jay S. Joe Kidd: We miss you, man! Come on back! Octane: Maurice S., Joe G., Marty B., Peter B., Rich R., Mahmood brood, Mark Bagwell, Professor Payne, and Greg! Joe Kidd: Of course we also want to thank CJ, the IC, and CIAgent. Octane: This is an honour to be elected in the IWF/WOW Hall of Shame. Correction. Now that we are in it, it's the Hall of Fame. Joe Kidd: I've got five words for ya! Crowd: THE WOW INNER CIRCLE FOREVER! Joe Kidd: WRONG! I HATE EVERYTHING ABOUT YOU! Octane: Listen to that! Nothing but Bitter d'Head Silence! [America's Least Wanted leave the stage and shake hands with "old school" IWF/WOWers such as Prophet, Eric Travers, Shane Sanders, AJ Stanson, Martin Richards, and Robert d'Artois.] Anthony Edwards: Wow. I guess, we won't be missing those tow [Whispering to himself] As if I ever liked them. Anyways, this year we have inducted two single wrestlers into the Hall of Fame. First, probably the most famous wrestler in both IWF and WOW, and when the two merged; in the IWF/WoW. He was almost unstoppable....JEREMY THRANTON!!! ("Head Like A Hole" by Nine Inch Nails begins playing over the speakers, and Jeremy Thranton pushes himself up from his table and heads towards the stage. His current appearance provides a stark contrast to his former days in the IWF/WoW. His black hair has been cut to roughly a few inches below his ears, as opposed to well past his shoulders, and he wears a fairly pleasant expression on his striking scarred face. He walks with a slight but still noticeable limp. He is wearing a black tuxedo but yet still sports his trademark shades and black fingerless gloves, which reminds the viewer that despite the changes, this is still the Equalizer. He walks carefully up the steps and approaches the podium, where he gratefully accepts the award and shakes the presenter's hand, then leans on the podium and begins speaking.) Thranton: You know...now I have legitimiate PROOF that I'm old and washed up...(crowd chuckles), and the funny part is I'm only 27. I figured I had at least another seven, eight years left in this business, but unfortunately, life doesn't play by mine, or anyone else's rules. It's been only months since I retired from IWF/WoW and even less since I retired from this great sport altogether, and already I can't sense any connection to my fomer life, or my former self. Career ending injures have a way of making you look at the way you see things, rethink them, and maybe stop to ponder if the road you're heading down leads to a dead end cliff. It's been almost two years since I first injured my knee, way back in a long gone federation called the IWA in a match with The Angel of Death. It wasn't slowing me down any, but it was always there for the rest of my career. And it finally snapped exactly one year ago in a first round UWC match with a man who has held the position of being both one of my all time great enemies and more recently, one of my closest allies, Hades. I wrestled against doctor's orders for a couple of months after that in the federation, but the pain was enough that I fell into the first slump of my career, becoming a mockery of my former self, a IWF North American and WoW World Champ, and a man that at one time, was probably the most dangerous man in the federation. So, I took some time off - hoped to let the knee heal itself. But I wasn't happy then...I wasn't happy unless I was in my home turf, where I belonged, in an IWF/WoW wrestling ring, doing the only thing I've known for the last three and half years of my life, and the only thing I've dreamed of for the past 15. And thus, my return was inevitable. And moreso, it was short. I almost ended the life of the only person whom I had previously been unable to topple, Martin Richards, but after that one match, my entire three month resting period was for naught, and my knee was right back at the beginning. And the federation saw me falter once more, and more or less dissapear, until I got a notice from the federation presidents telling me I was released from my contract. This sent me into the ultimate downward spiral of my life...for the two months afterward, I wallowed in self pity, misery and a general state of hatred and loathing and a desire to share these feelings with the world. This showed through in my performances in other federations, in which I became exactly the kind of man I spent most of my career fighting. I had a second surgery on my knee, which improved it 50%, but I realized when the last federation I was in closed, that it wasn't either my knee or federation suits destroying my career, it was me. As painful as this revelation was, it was the truth, and when something is slapping you in the face that hard, it's more than a matter of grabbing the wrist. My career was over, and I retired altogether from the sport. I escaped both my mental demons and the wordly demons of drugs and alcohol which have been a stable of the Jeremy Thranton lifestyle and beliefs for the past year. Granted, yes, I miss some things about the sport. I miss the friendships, the thrills, the satisfaction of a job well done, and the paychecks (grins). But I DON'T miss the chairs across the skull, getting my head driven into the mat, getting the snot kicked out of me by 6 guys at the same time, or having scalding hot cups of coffee throwin my face (points to burn scars on the left side of his face, smiles again). And I honestly couldn't bring myself to be a man who walks to the ring every night, his only goal being to injure the other man enough to defeat him, and then walk out feeling satisfied about it. All things must come to an end...and this revelation has created this turning point in my life. (Jeremy stops speaking...grabs his notecards and flings them behind him) Now that I've gotten all the in character stuff out of the way, I think I need to speak on a more personal level. Despite the many other federations I frequented, my heart was only ever really in IWF/WoW. I would compete in other feds, but it wouldn't give me the same thrills, the same satisfaction..the same ANYTHING. This was the first federation to treat me fairly...which, when I entered IWF originally, was a big deal because I was coming off a jobber rep in a certain politically based federation whose initials we won't go into at the time. CJ actually gave me a chance, and let me free, and I soon started winning, as everyone else did, based on my skills and not whether or not I had affiliations with federation executives. I also couldn't possibly do this speach without thanking every person who I've ever worked with in this federation. I don't want to leave anyone out....but you all know who you are, and I appreciate the hell out of you for putting up with and working with me so that we could help create a more fun experience. I would run off a list of names, but it isn't fair for the people that I might leave out...and I figure, you know if you've done any work with or helped me, and so do I. I can't possibly thank any of you enough. And lastly, a very special thanks to a very special person who I very firmly think should be standing right beside on this platform at this very moment entering the Hall of Fame along with me. Thranton wouldn't be Thranton if it wasn't for our two hour phone conversations in which you listened to me bitch about everything that wasn't going my way in this federation and in life in general. Your advice, criticism and ideas made Thranton more fun to play, and more successful. Keep the faith, brother, itf all goes according to plan, certain things are going to get a little shaken up. (Thranton looks around the room for a few seconds, then smirks) You'd all be dissapointed if I didn't do this....so here's what you wanted. (Thranton swiftly makes the sign of the Ultimate Drive By/Near Death Experience as he yells the words of his long famous and often imitated catch phrase) BET ON IT. (The cheers are deafening) Good night...everyone! Fair warning...this party's ONLY JUST STARTING! (Thranton leaves the same way he came in, with a certain knowing "I know something you don't know" smirk) Anthony Edwards: [Crying a bit] I'm gonna miss that big guy... [He wipes off his tears.] Anthony Edwards: And our second man to enter the IWF/WoW Hall of Fame this year. To many people, this is no surprise; he was NOT only one of the best in IWF, WOW, and IWF/WoW...he was THE best! The number one man! He brought everyone to smiles with his famous smile....DERRICK DAMANN!!! [Derrick DaMann stands up from his seat in the back and walks up to the podium wearing a very conservative tuxedo. His face is very gaunt and pale, almost sickly...and he walks very slowly, taking very deliberate steps. He reaches the podium with the help of the presenter and some aides nearby. He struggles with his frail body up the stairs and makes his way to the microphone. Derrick reaches out and adjusts it towards his mouth.] Derrick DaMann (in a very low voice)- I want to thank you all who voted me into the IWF/WOW Hall of Fame. [Derrick pauses and takes a deep breath.] Derrick DaMann- I feel very uncomfortable standing up here and taking the spotlight away from the new generation of IWF/WOW stars...the ones who will continue the tradition and take the I/W into the next millennium. Guys like The Idol, Vincent Bannister, Xavier Othello, Wuzho....these are the guys who deserve the spotlight at this time....not me. [Derrick notices the muffled conversations at each of the tables in the audience.] Derrick DaMann- (laughs)...I guess I owe you some sort of explanation. As most of you may know, Magnus Colby and I are business partners outside of the ring. The loser-leaves-town match last spring was set up so that I could leave my IWF/WOW wrestling contract without breaching it. The reason.... [Derrick pauses as a tear starts to well up in his right eye.] Derrick DaMann- ....was because I started to get very sick. I was diagnosed after Christmas Madness with having leukemia. I tried to keep wrestling against doctors' strict orders. I was an idiot for trying. I couldn't do it anymore, which brings you to the weakened body you see before you. The doctors said that I can't ever wrestle again....and I guess they're right (weak laugh)...seeing that even Poseidon could kick my ass right now. [A weak rouse of laughter from the shocked audience.] Derrick DaMann- So as my last act in IWF/WOW....I'm not going to thank anyone. [pause] Derrick DaMann- I'm here to apologize. [The audience wonders what's going on.] Derrick DaMann- First off, I want to apologize to Chris Shannon. I'm sorry...we could've had a great feud, my man. I'm sorry that I couldn't hold up my end of it. Maybe next time. [The camera shows Chris Shannon nodding his head in sympathy.] Derrick DaMann- I also want to apologize to Chris Jurkschat. I'm sorry that you spent a lot of time booking me and pushing me and helping me out. And for me to just disappear on you one day was completely wrong on my part. I'm very sorry and hope that somehow, I can make it up to you. [The camera shows Chris Jurkschat...frozen in complete shock.] Derrick DaMann- I also want to apologize to The Prophet, Eric Travers, Marty Richards, Doug Sullivan..and the rest of my IC cronies. You were the best bunch of pals any guy could have....and I'm truly sorry that I couldn't hold up my part in the end. It killed me when we were getting killed, and I would do anything right now to try to undo that. I'm sorry. [The camera focuses in on The Prophet, with tears in his eyes.] Derrick DaMann- I'd also like to apologize to The Idol. _SOMEBODY_ would have kicked your ass in IWF/WOW by now, and that somebody would have been me. You couldn't have held a candle to me in my prime...but I guess a match between us two will be nothing more than a fantasy for fans to talk about for the rest of time....like comparing Mark McGwire to Babe Ruth...and the '27 Yankees to the current ones. I'm sorry that I didn't pop your ego when I could. [The camera shows The Idol...with a proud smile on his face.] Derrick DaMann- I also want to apologize to A.J. Stanson. I'm truly sorry that I couldn't have beaten you thirty more times before your career was over. I'm also sorry that I couldn't come back and team with you just once. We could've been the champs, kiddo. I guess now....you'll have to be the champ all by yourself. I don't doubt that happening for a minute.....as long as I'm not around to beat you. [The camera shows A.J. Stanson, trying to hold back the tears.] Derrick DaMann- I also apologize to Alex Martinez, Rick Styles, and the rest of the UEW invasion. I'm sorry for not putting you all in your places while I could....but I guess you can understand why I couldn't. [Derrick takes another deep breath...as he is obviously fatigued.] Derrick DaMann- I don't have too much time left, so I'll get the last ones out quickly. I'm sorry for ducking Cooper Concrete for all those years. It's not that I didn't respect you.....it's just that my ego wouldn't allow me to face someone I thought was better than me. You're the best wrestler I've ever seen who didn't know it. It's your time...go for the World title, man. I'm sorry, Ricky Revolution, for being a million times better than you...and not retiring your ass when I could. I'm sorry, Chris Stonebreaker, for having to lose to me when you shouldn't have. I'm sorry, Chad Ishikawa, for ditching you after three years of service. [pause] Derrick DaMann- But most importantly, I apologize to the fans....who will miss out on the legend that I was. All kidding aside, I'd love to be in that ring again...but I know now that it will never happen. For that, I am sorry. I guess I'm just going to do what I told my opponents to do for years....deal with it. [The medical aides come up and begin to help Derrick DaMann get back down to his seat.] Derrick DaMann- But before I go...I've got one thing left for all of you who either hated me, loved me, killed me, lost to me, beat my ass, or just appreciated the work I put into this sport day in and day out.... [Derrick tilts his head to the side slowly...and flashes the Million Dollar DaMann Smile!!! He slowly tilts his head back to regular.] Derrick DaMann- ....my undying thanks. Thank you again. [Derrick DaMann, along with the assistance of the medical aides, makes his way down from the podium and back to his seat.] Anthony Edwards: Wrestling does have it's sad side effects. We wish both Derrick DaMann, Jeremy Thranton, and America's Least wanted best of luck to wherever they go now. We will truly miss them all. Speaking of America's Least Wanted, to present the Golden Turnbuckle for Tag Team of the Year, the Midway Freak Show! ["The Minute of Decay" by Marilyn Manson start to play as Ike, the Owner of the Midway, dressed in his usual yellow and red suit, walks to the stage. He is followed by the various members of the Midway Freak Show : The IRS Man, Harold Huge, Ted the Maniac, Silly Billy, Wormboy, Harry the Head, and finally the infamous Jelly Jack.] Ike, the Owner of the Midway: LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, BEFORE WE PRESENT TO YOU THE SHOW... LET ME SHOW YOU THE SIDESHOW!!!! [Ike shows Ted the Maniac, who walks toward the front of the stage with a living rat. He puts the rat in his mouth, and just eat it in one breath. He then puts needles in his tongue. He then asks for a big needle, and puts it in his nose. Silly Billy continues to jump around while Wormboy and Harold Huge are showing their difformities. Harold Huge pushes Jelly Jack's bowl in front of the stage, and then smiles with his hideous face. They then return to their place behind the presentation place.] Ike, the Owner of the Midway: LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, NOW, WE SHALL PROCEED TO THE AWARDS PRESENTATION OF THE TAG TEAM OF THE YEAR!!!! Harold Huge: Farts af all, tha naminees are... Silly Billy: HEYYY!!!!! LOOOK AT MEEE!!!! I'M A BIRD!!!! I'M A BIRD!!!! (he jumps around) I'M FLYINGG!!!! LOOK AT MEEE!!!! [Silly Billy jumps off the stage, and then fall onto the nearby crowd. He hits Keith "The Wolf" Werenka and "Dark Angel" Brian O'Neil during his fall. Both men just shove him off as he hits the corner of the stage. Medical help comes down to help Silly Billy as the other members of the Freak Show continue their presentation.] Ike, the Owner of the Midway: LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, DESPITE THE DANGER FOR OUR HEALTH, WE SHALL CONTINUE OUR PRESENTATION!!!! Harold Huge: Farts af all, tha naminees are... Ted the Maniac: A bbb.... bbbunchhh of UGLY teeeams!!!! Harold Huge: Axcuse me, Tad, but I thank that ya have ta actually name tha teams, ya know... Ted the Maniac: Bbb.... Bbbut they are soooo UGLY!!!! Ike, the Owner of the Midway: THE FIRST NOMINEES, THE MIDWAY FREAK SHOW.... Uhhh... THE KILLING MACHINES!!!!! Wormboy: I'm guessing that they like it when their opponents are fucking dying, but they wouldn't beat the fuck out of me if I had legs. Harold Huge: Warmboy, ya language, ya know. Harry the Head: Yessir! Sir! Harold Huge: Harry, I wasn't talkin' ta ya, ya know. Ike, the Owner of the Midway: THE SECOND NOMINEES, THE DYNAMIC DUO!!! The IRS Man: I've eard that Dynamic Duo member Alex Extreme's uncle has failed to pay his taxes last year... I'm guessing that the genes makes Alex Extreme a nuisance for the greatest country of the World, the United States of America, a place where democracy and true values reigns supreme in our governement!!! Ike, the Owner of the Midway: AND FINALLY, THE LAST NOMINEES, THE LETHAL LEATHERS! Wormboy: Ike, you made a fucking mistake in their names. Ike, the Owner of the Midway: UHHH... YES... THE LETHAL LEADERS! Harold Huge: The Lethal Ladders are nominated? Rally... I'd never tought that, ya know... Now, who wishes to introduce the winners? Ted the Maniac: Www... We all know it's... ittt's that UGLY TEAM!!!! Ike, the Owner of the Midway: ANYBODY? [They all wait. Harry the Head pushes Jelly Jack's bowl toward the microphone.] Jelly Jack: ... [The freaks all applaud. Nothing happens. Jelly Jack repeats the winner.] Jelly Jack: ... [Nothing happens once again. The freaks talks among themselves and they motion to Jelly Jack to tell the winner.] Jelly Jack: ... [Anthony Edwards, who was nearby, rushes to the scene and pushes the bowl away.] Anthony Edwards: DON'T YOU REALIZE HE CAN'T TALK!!!! NOW, GIVE ME THE ENVELOPPE!!!! [The freaks stay motionless.] Jelly Jack: ... [Edwards takes the enveloppe from Harry the Head's hands.] Anthony Edwards: AND THE WINNER IS... THE KILLING MACHINES!!!!! [The freaks applaud, as Anthony Edwards looks at them with a crazy look in his eyes. All of the Freaks are ushered off the stage by Anthony Edwards as "Enter Sandman" by Metallica plays as Overkill, Demolisher, and "Midnight" Jawaad Mahmood walk up to the podium to accept the Tag Team of the Year Award. All three are wearing black tuxedos.] Overkill: Well, well, well...here we are, the tag team of the year. Quite frankly...we deserve this! Demolisher: First thing I'd like to say is...I HATE tuxedos! (A few laughs from other wrestlers.) Demolisher: But anyways, it's worth wearing the monkey suit to come up here and get this award. But one thing's missing...no wait...two things...the IWF/WOW World Tag Team Titles! Colby, Extreme, mark my words, the days of your title reign are numbered! Mahmood: And after SE3, Circle of Death, you might as well go back to the bush leagues you call UEW, and Lethal Leaders, you might as well stay at home looking at the mementos of past glories! Because my team is the future of tag team wrestling, and after SE3, they're going to be the DWI _and_ IWF/WOW World Tag Team Titles! So you losers might as well get really good and drunk on that cheap champagne President Jerk-shot sprung for, because you're sure as hell not going to feel sober after you've had your faces re-arranged! Overkill: Speaking of controlled substances...after we're done winning the tag titles, we've got a score to settle. Shannon, Kroaker, you two punks are going to taste the fury of two 27 year old dinosaurs! (A few "ooohs" from the crowd.) Demolisher: But...that will have to wait. Because we're coming for the tag straps, and we're not going to be stopped this time! And if any of you humanoids think you have what it takes to stop us, than we'll clobber you with these trophies right now! [All three men leave the stage as Anthony edwards re-appears behind the podium.] Anthony Edwards: Now, we have hit our last award, the one that everyone has been awaiting all year for; the Golden Turnbuckle for Wrestler of the Year! To present this award will be Eric Travers, Christopher Childress, Damian Steele, and Tricia Lane! ["Intolerence" by Tool plays, and from the back emerge Tricia Lane, followed by Damian Steele, Christopher Childress, and Eric Travers. Damian wears a white dress shirt with a black coat over it, and a dark red tie, along with black pants and dress shoes.. Childress wears a pair of black slacks, black dress shoes, a white button- down shirt, and his black leather vest with "CCC" written on the left shoulder flap in red, all of which cross over each other diagonally. Tricia Lane is wearing a tight black dress, with black heels, and her hair is very stylishly tied up. Lane is also carrying the envelope with the winner's name inside. Eric Travers wears a black tuxedo, with a gold vest and bowtie. The four make their way to the podium, where the award fopr Wrestler of the year sits, and Tricia Lane takes a step back as the three men encircle the mic.] ERIC TRAVERS: "I'd just like to say that you people better get used to seeing one or all of the three of us at this podium, cause next year one of us will be accepting this award for wrestler of the year." DAMIAN STEELE: "Yeah, the people may actually wise up one of these days and realize just who the true kings of the I/W are." [ Damian pauses and rolls his eyes. ] "Naah." CHRISTOPHER CHILDRESS: "I just want to get this damn thing over with. Sooner we tell the morons out here in the audience who won, the sooner we can get the hell out of here." ERIC TRAVERS: "Trish, you want to read the nominees?" [Lane steps forward, and Travers and Steele step slightly to the side so Lane can get to the microphone.] TRICIA LANE: "And the nominnes are... The Idol" ERIC TRAVERS: "Are you serious? That little punk was nominated over the IWF/WOW God!?!?!? When's the last time he _won_ a match??" DAMIAN STEELE: "Wait a second. You mean he's actually won a match before? I thought he and Chris J. were...y'know.." CHRISTOPHER CHILDRESS: "I can't believe he's actually done anything worth while to get nominated." [ Someone calls out something to Childress from the audience. ] "What? He has a title? You've gotta be kidding me..." TRICIA LANE: "Christopher Stonebreaker" CHRISTOPHER CHILDRESS: "The only one who actually has a chance at winning this thing, in my opinion, but that doesn't mean I think he _deserves_ it." ERIC TRAVERS: "Even if Stoney does win, his time at the top is short lived!" DAMIAN STEELE: "But these people would have to be complete morons to vote for Stoney. I'm not sure even _they_ could be _that_ stupid." TRICIA LANE: "AJ Stanson" DAMIAN STEELE: "Who?" CHRISTOPHER CHILDRESS: "You've heard of this guy, Eric?" ERIC TRAVERS: "I think this nomination obviously has something to do with the nomination committee trying to get in Nevada's pants. Nothing else could explain this one." TRICIA LANE: "The Prophet" ERIC TRAVERS: "The only worthy nominee in the bunch." CHRISTOPHER CHILDRESS: "Well, I'm still giving credit to Stonebreaker for managing to hold that title where everyone else is incapable. But, who am I to disagree with the Epic One?" [ Childress grins. ] DAMIAN STEELE: "At least he can actually wrestle, whereas I think the other nominees just like to roll around with each other in a somewhat confined area." TRICIA LANE: "And finally, Cooper Concrete" DAMIAN STEELE: "Wouldn't it be ironic if he won, and then got his ass kicked at Summer Explosion 3? Actually, it wouldn't be too ironic, because, well, what can you expect from top-of-the-line athletes like _us?_ You know, Cooper, I despise everything you stand for, and come SE3, you're going to have that ugly little face of yours re-arranged. I promise." [ Damian smirks. ] CHRISTOPHER CHILDRESS: "Concrete, you're just one of Stonebreaker's lackeys. Someone to take the fall when he's too afraid to step up to the plate. At SE3, you're gonna find out why this triple threat is going to be much more than you or your partners can handle. I assure you, by the time this event rolls around, you'll be hurtin' like hell before the match even begins." [ Childress grins. ] ERIC TRAVERS: "As short lived as Stoney's reign at the top is, _your_ time, period, is even shorter lived Concrete. At SE3, you and those two nimrods Sanders and Studd are going to get the ass kicking of a lifetime from the greatest trio of wrestlers to ever hit the I/W. Your best bet for this match is to just walk away Concrete, it's the only way to save yourself." [Lane opens up the envelope and pulls out the card. The four look at the name, then each other. All four have a look of disdain on their faces.] ERIC TRAVERS: (In a bored tone) "And the winner is... I'm not saying it. Damian, _you_ say it." [ Damian sighs. ] DAMIAN STEELE: "And the winner is...bleh, I can't say it. Here, Chris, you do it." CHRISTOPHER CHILDRESS: "As much as this pains me, I guess I figured he'd get it anyway. The winner is... [ Grits his teeth as he says the name. ] ...Christopher Stonebreaker." [ The crowd cheers madly as the name is announced and the IWF/WOW World Champion, Christopher Stonebreaker, stands from the audience and his music begins to play. He walks up on stage, where he's met wby Christopher Childress. Childress mouthes something to Stonebreaker, but it isn't audible over the audience cheering and clapping. Stonebreaker steps up to Childress, both of them standing nose-to-nose, exchanging words. The crowd dies down and cameras flash as the both of them point at each other and spit words in each others faces. Childress holds up his hand to Stonebreaker as he tries to take the award and then Childress puts his mouth near the microphone again. ] CHRISTOPHER CHILDRESS: "Somehow I knew you'd win this thing, cajun. Cause all these people out here don't think for themselves. They don't realize who a _wrestler_ is when they see one, so that makes it pretty damn obvious as to why they picked _you,_ of all people. You can have your stupid award. Trophies don't make the better wrestler. Just you remember that." [ Childress tosses Stonebreaker the award and Childress, Travers, Steele, and Lane all leave the stage. Both Childress and Stonebreaker glare at each other as they leave. ] Stonebreaker: This... [Chris raises up the award] This is something that a lot of people would have given anything for, and boys, I can't blame you. This is one of the ultimate goals of the IWF/WOW. To be recognized by your colleagues as one of, if not the best in one of the elite organizations in the wrestling community. [Chris then places the award back down on the podium, as he continues his speech.] Stonebreaker: Obviously, following in the footsteps of the man who claimed this prestigious title last year, a man who've I fueded with in the past, and, who knows, will probably cross paths with again some time down the road, Derrick Damann has to be one of the men that I've got to thank. [Derrick DaMann is in complete shock that Chris just thanked him.] Stonebreaker: That's right Derrick, I just have to hope I have better luck at keeping on the hot streak after this evening. [Chris grins at the quick "cheap" shot, but returns to his diplomatic self.] Stonebreaker: Athletes I've admired. Athletes who have deserved this award, Derrick, Desert Scorpion, people like Prophet and AJ Stanson. People who have been up here, or obviously will be here sometime in the future, claiming this spot where I'm standing tonight. And I just have to hope I don't let those of you who selected me for this slot down. Stonebreaker: There are a number of people who have catapault me to this prestigious position in the IWF/WOW, and I can't begin to name them all. [One of the ceremonies attenders, unidentifiable by his voice is heard cheering at the previous comment, and a smile crosses the face of the cajun.] Stonebreaker: I said it earlier, and I'll say it again, my special thanks go out to my friends here.Men that I not only trust inside the ring, but anywhere we might encounter one another. [The camera shoots a number of shots on people including but not limited to AJ Stanson, Concrete Cooper, and Wuzho, as warm bit of applause goes out.] Stonebreaker: Then I have to thank the people who have learned to get on my bad side. [Another smile crosses the face of Stonebreaker, as the video wall shows the various shots of individuals, including Derrick Damann, Robert d'Artois, and Dan Watterson.] Stonebreaker: Because if they hadn't given me a reason to go after them in the ring, who knows. I'd probably be working out of some K- mart store ringing up the blue light specials. Stonebreaker: And of course, everyone who fills up the arenas week in and week out. For without them, the I-W wouldn't be around for people like myself and so many other professional athletes to have our own "stage" for the world to take note of. People who love to see us beat the living hell out of each other, and we're more than happy to oblige. [Chris stops and holds up the award once again, near his chest.] Stonebreaker: And, well, how can I say it. I'd especially like to give my thanks to the presidents of the I-W. If they hadn't given me the opportunity to wrestle for the gold, much less the opportunity to wrestle in one of the greatest wrestling organizations in the world, I wouldn't be standing up here at all. Stonebreaker: So, despite the fact that this.. [Chris looks at the award, before holding it up with a single hand.] Stonebreaker: Happens to be in my possession at the moment, I'd like to say that it belongs to each and every man, woman, and child in the I- W. This, I-W, is _your_ award! [The crowd applauds at the comments of Christopher Stonebreaker, who makes his way to the right of the stage, as Anthony Edwards makes his way over to take the place of the 1998 "Best Wrestler of the IWF/WOW".] Anthony Edwards: Chris most definetly deserved that award! On that note, the 1998 IWF/WoW Awards Show has come to an end! It has been fun, and we hope to see you at a Sizzlying show that we have set for you tommorow at Summer Explosions 3!! [Anthony waves to the camera, as the camera pans the room which is seeing most of the IWF/WoW stars in attendance. Then the credits roll, and fades to black.] CREDITS: Thanks to everyone who pitched in, and helped: Ray P., Wade, Lantz, Matt, Mark S., Jason D., Mason, Chris J., Chad I. (Thanks for the great name for the show, Golden Turnbuckles!), Razi M., Francine, Elliott, Jerry, Moe S., Steve L., SPECIAL THANKS: For adding their parts even though they are no longer active within the federation: Derek K. and Jay S.
