Wow, lots of feedback, and lots of positive! Even the criticism was constructive, not people just crying over spilled milk. You animals continue to prove to me you care about this place as much as I do. I tried to include as much of the responses as I could, so this is quite a read. Thanks guys! Nelson -------------- [1] On a scale of 1 - 10, with 10 being awesome, 5 being average, and 1 horrible, rate NOVEMBER PAIN '02: Legends of the Fall. AVG Score: 9.2 ~ "9.5 - I have no complaints, but there's gotta always be room for improvement. Great fuckin PPV." ~ "9 - this is the closest to 10 I've ever seen. Excellent writing all around, and the feuds were out of this world." ~ "9.5 Awesome. the best ppv since i've been in the fed" [2] With that being said, was this p-p-v better, worse, or on par with our last PPV? ~ "It keeps getting better, definitely. It will be hard to top this one I believe." ~ "Better. Far better. Not that the last pay-per-view was a shitfest by any stretch of the imagination. It was great, too. However, this one was better on so many different levels. A very memorable pay-per-view all 'round." ~ "Last one was good. This one was unbelievably great." ~ "The best so far." [3] So, on a scale of 1-5, how did you think each match was? 5, being totally kick-ass, and 1 meaning that it's something you'd expect to see on WWF Metal. Feel free to add comments on why you liked/disliked the matches... [3.8] Super Scott, Hades, Extremist vs. Maniacal Mailman, Mr. Robinson, Steve Spector ~ " The Spector debut was very cool and the match it was self was very well written and flowed nicely. Though i do feel the Spector team got most of the offense and took a little bit away from the match. But it was still solid." ~ "The surprise factor alone of seeing Steve Spector was enough, but the match was awesome too." ~ "mainly because of the Spector surprise, which I so totally marked out like a little girl for" ~ "Spector's debut was great .. one of the best openers ever. I really look forward to seeing what Mailman, Extremist, Robinson and Spector do this upcoming cycle - they're all pretty damn great." [3.6] Shane St. Clair vs. Johnny Spades [3.7] Men In Black vs. Infinite Justice [4.1] "Heavy Mental" Dave Pietka vs. "Shocker" Mack Ensassarol ~ "These are great characters." [4.1] Wade Thompson vs. "Dreamlover" Trey Porter ~ "Excellent match but the ending was what made this match so significant. It will be interesting to see how this whole Nelson-CJ-DTP-WT thing works out. The most interesting angle by far on the card!" [4.3] Maverick vs. Razor Ron Jeremy ~ "RRJ is golden on the mic. The little commentaries were priceless" [4.4] Gunnar "Grizzly" Gaines vs. Matthew Reason ~ "Great match. Reason and Grizzly did a great job of hyping up this match and i thought it was great. Reason was a surprise winner and looks as though this great angle will continue which is good for me :)" ~ "Nice to see Reason win this one." ~ "Reason is a sick, sick fuck. Awesome shit." ~ "Rick is good at hyping up whatever he writes." [4.7] Justin Arcola vs. Trevor Storm ~ "Emotional." [4.8] "Suicidal" Nate McMannis vs. "Legacy" Paul Kiljoy ~ "Ameet that little lying bastard!!! :) [lol] Solid match and it looks as though it might not have ended at the ppv. Both guys were solid during this angle but i think Nate was the right winner. Kudos to both men." ~ "Weeks is great, nuff said." [4] Where there any results you did not agree with? Which were they? ~ "I think Kiljoy deserved the heavyweight title, I don't like all the bullcrap that was played OUTSIDE of the match with Ameet. I'm not a big fan of "playing character" outside of the game." ~ "Not really. Most of the matches could seriously go either way, which makes it really cool. It was so evenly matched from top to bottom." ~ "I thought Super Scott had done a great job RPing. But who wants to see SS win anyway? :) Nothing against Inifinite Justice, but MIB have had some of the best writing I've read in awhile. Excellent decisions on the Maverick/RRJ and Reason/Gaines matchups." ~ "None. They all made sense." ~ "I went 9/9, but that was based on what you would do ;)." [5] What was the biggest shocker, if any, of the event? ~ "CJ's return and the fact Nelson will have to run for elections. Great stuff." ~ "Steve Spector. I'm sure the whole Jurkschat thing was pretty surprising too." ~ "Steve Spector's arrival in I-Slash blew my mind. I'm a big fan of Malloy, one of the nicest guys and one of my favorite characters. He's an amazing addition to this federation. Chris Jurkschat is still alive? Where has HE been!?" ~ "Spector! One of those rare moments an E-Wrestling card has actually inspired me to go, "What the FUCK???"" ~ "Definitely Jurkschat's return." ~ "Tie - Spector debuting and Chris Jurkschat's reappearance" ~ "Spector was great to see. Jurkschat was a surprise. But Reason beating Gaines had to be the most deserved upset I've seen in awhile." ~ "CJ's return/AoD's job (even though I wrote this match :). Excellent job of playing up the Nelson screwjob. You hinted just enough to the point where we'd be surprised to see one, and the hints were not over the top to the point where we could see something else coming." ~ "I thought for SURE 'Heavy Mental' was gonna take it but cudo's to Shocker for a job well done. Any of these two would make a fine EWA Heavyweight champion." [6] In the past couple of months, what feud/angles have you enjoyed the most? Least? What storys would you like to see in the next couple of months? MOST ~ "Arcola-Storm, Nate-Kiljoy, Reason-Gaines" ~ "Storm/Arcola was very well done, and the touchy subject matter was handled well. McMannis/Kiljoy was great, especially the subtle role reversal. Gaines/Reason" ~ "I like the quality of the fed. If this roster doesn't start getting recognized by the masses soon, it'll be a travesty." ~ "I've enjoyed being in the Gunnar Reason feud, Curt helped breath interest and drive in my character, can't thank him enough for it. Arcola and Storm was the most emotional feud I've ever read, I thought it went above all expectations. Kiljoy's heel turn was AWESOME to watch unfold, as was teacher-student rubber match. DTP vs AOD for the VP position unfolded NICELY" ~ "Arcola's swansong was enjoyable, aside from the kinda risky nature of the material." ~ "Kiljoy/McMannis and Gaines/Reason tie here. I don't care what happens now as long as it's more of the same." ~ "I never thought I'd see the Trifecta turn face. It's such a rare occurance in the real wrestling world cuz each and every member has to be over (it took the original nWo a while to make the turn). I believe it when I see it in the Trifecta because their turn was sincere, and based completely on the fans. Travers made the turn gracefully with his Franchise sponsors angle, and it was so ridiculous that after a while you couldn't help but cheer it :). Travers/Ensassarol is gonna be great. I honestly don't believe that Travers has ever been as "over" as he is now, and Ensassarol is always full of comic surprises. I can see how going after McMannis' family helped to turn him face, but something else could have been done, cuz we've already got a lot of family stuff going on w/ Gunnar/Reason. I think inserting the Brian Hackett character into the DTP angle was unneccesary. DTP and Super Scott could have held up the angle just fine without him. My favorite part of this PPV was not only seeing Reason get booked in the Triple Main Event, but also pulling out the win. His character has come a long way, he's always put incredible amounts of effort over the years, and he deserved the win. It almost makes up for his not-so-impressive W/L record to be put over a guy like Gunnar Gaines, who's really proved himself after all the hype in the summer. Keep up the good work, Dave. Viper's a good character and its a shame he didn't make it onto the PPV. It might help him to pick up where he left off with Maverick a little while ago." ~ "You put 100% effort into this fed and it shows. The cards are exciting, the booking is fresh, and I always get a kick out of the rumors section of the update, even if they make me look bad. It's always nice to get some residue of Brian Nelson's vision :). Glad to see you've turned against F-bombs for the sake of upholding the realism." LEAST ~ "Maverick-RRJ. Not that they were bad, It just wasn't as exciting as the other ones. It was solid but just a victim of to many great angles at once." ~ " No angles strike me as something that I'd DISLIKE, although St. Clair's alignment kinda confuses me sometimes. He acts like a heel and expects to be a face most of the time. I know that it's 2002 but that's still kinda annoying." ~ "Arcola (HIV)angle, Trifecta turning face, St. Clair turning face?" WANT TO SEE/LOOKING FORWARD TO ... ~ "What Spector is up to. Arcola and this disease issue. Without a doubt Nelson-CJ angle." ~ "Maverick vs. Ensassarol, Super Scott vs. Mr. Robinson, St. Clair vs. Coop" ~ "I've really enjoyed Reason/Gaines, and hope to see it continue. McMannis/Kiljoy went face-to-heel quite seamlessly, and would LOVE to see that continue as well. Interested to see where the Trifecta goes from here as babyfaces. Looking forward to Mack's new EWA reign." ~ "I can't wait toee what happens with the election thingee." ~ "I look forward to seeing what Ensasserol does now with his big feud with Travers. I hope he's up to the challenge, cause the sky's the limit with his potential." [7] What do you currently like and dislike about the I-Slash? LIKES ~ "I like everything. I just hope that I-Slash doesn't sign to many 'big names' cause it kills a fed and it's homegrown talent." ~ "I like the feuds, the matches, the handlers and the overall atmosphere of this federation. Right now, I-Slash has what it takes to be the # one federation and it's nice to see people starting to realize it." ~ "I like everything. The cards are more timely than any other fed I know of right now. The atmosphere is fun. You're fair and approachable. What more would one want from a fed?" ~ "I like the PCW association - breeding ground for the big show" ~ "I like the fact that there's no giant out of control ego's. Everyone gets along real great .. everyone is working together." ~ "I like pretty much everything - not much more you could ask for in free entertainment!" ~ "I like how all the handlers are friendly and helpful." DISLIKES ~ "I dislike the absence of wrestler's records." ~ "I dislike the fact that for those of us who only get to use a computer during the week, miss out on some important deadlines - I've missed a couple rp's and I think that hurts my character's chances. By I do understand - you gotta roll with the changes so I've tried to keep up." ~ "My only dislike would be that we're not being recognized for the great shit we put out week in & week out. I don't know what more we could do, but promoting the company is the only weakness I can come up with, and it's a pretty minor complaint. If we all keep doing what we're doing, being recognized as one of the Top 3 or 4 e-feds will come." [8] Who do you think are currently the top roleplayers in the I-Slash? (besides yourself!) MOST MENTIONED NAMES (in no particular order) ~ "Suicidal" Nate McMannis, "Epic" Eric Travers, "Legacy" Paul Kiljoy, "Shocker" Mack Ensassarol, Maverick, Gunnar "Grizzly" Gaines, Matthew Reason, "Dreamlover" Trey Porter, Trevor Storm, Super Scott, The Extremist A FEW THOUGHTS ... ~ "Kiljoy, Arcola, Travers I gotta say are among the top three, you throw in a SURPRISING MACK, Maverick who is always on the game, Trevor Storm who popped out of no where and became one of the best.... You got Gunnar, Scott, Robinson, Extremist and DTP who just are beyond the line of "great" the characters here are just amazing with not enough Main Event spots open." ~ "Forgive me but, since I don't know everyone's name, I'm just going to name characters here-- RRJ, Kiljoy, Maverick, and, most of all, Reason." ~ "Well, the best RP in the history of e-wrestling belongs to The Extremist a couple weeks ago, so in that respect, he is. But week in & week out, the guy that's the best - Matthew Reason, probably. Eric Travers is pretty amazing too. But there's about 5-6 guys right up there with them at the top. Kiljoy, McMannis, Arcola are all great, as are a few others. I've always been a huge Maniacal Mailman mark too and he should be one to seriously watch this upcoming cycle. And we all know about how great Steve Spector is." ~ "McMannis is excellent - Reason, Gaines, MIB. Mack has done a great job and I never saw it coming. RRJ continues to humor me." ~ "Reason, Mailman, Pietka, Chad Allen (though he's reassigned), Gunnar, Super Scott, SSC, Storm, Echo Dare & Cardiac (when the RPs aren't screwed up by auto-computer spacing :), Kiljoy, Hades, Trifecta, Ensassarol, Viper" ~ "Reason and Jeremy. The two are cherry as hell." [9] How do you feel you have been treated recently? ~ "_GREAT!_ Being pushed into the main event picture is tiring but very rewarding work. The Kiljoy character has really blossomed from it." ~ "Like a million bucks plus change." ~ "The more we get to know each other, the more impatient you get with me. But I get a kick out of our Gilligan/Skipper relationship." ~ "Good. Thanks for asking :)" ~ "Just ducky. No big problems here." [10] Any final comments? ~ "Let's continue working hard to make this the number one fed, i think we are on our way. :)" ~ "Yes. I just want to take this bit of valuable I Slash time to publicly advocate that I be able to masturbate in public restrooms. Other than that, no, no comments or questions here, Brian. :)" ~ "Keep up the good work & I'll keep on kissing ass. But seriously .. everyone is just doing a fantastic job" ~ "No complaints at all ... maybe a new website would be neat. :) But Nelson - don't overwork yourself! I want to see the I Slash for years to come." ~ "It's been a great change since Brian has taken the role of prez."
