They are screaming their lungs out, waving posters, signs, flags and everything they possibly could - all in an attempt to get on television, and get noticed.] [After several moments of panning over the arena, _loud_ fireworks above the ring begin to go off, followed by fire bursting out of the ring turnbuckles. The fans let out an even bigger pop, because they know that EGOS & ICONS is about to get underway. WELCOME TO A HISTORY MAKING EVENT... WELCOME TO EGOS & ICONS!!! [The camera continues to move around the arena. Gord Downie takes a bow in the ring, and leaves as the fans begin to slowly quiet down, and the camera pans over to Jim Robson and Jack Anderson who are sitting at the announce table at ringside.] Jim Robson: Folks... welcome to what is sure to be a once in a life time event. I cannot remember a I/W event in recent times that had a bigger main event that tonights... it is _War Games_! Two rings, surrounded by a steel cage. On one side we have IWF/WOW World Heavyweight Champion "Serial Thriller" Billy Rock, Justin Arcola, "Legacy" Paul Kiljoy and Razor Ron Jeremy. On the other, the Trifecta" - "Suicidal" Nate McMannis, "Epic" Eric Travers, Wade "Angel of Death" Thompson and their mystery partner. Jack Anderson: But what's even more interesting is what is up for grabs in this war games - the winning teams receives the last four spots in the Indepdence Day Rumble, and the losing team receives the first four. That's almost an hour difference... and with the IWF/WOW World Heavyweight title on the line in the rumble on Thursday, that really means a lot. Jim Robson: Everyone wants those last four spots... and everyone is going to want to win the rumble, and the title, on day two. It's going to be an all out war. Jack Anderson: I can't wait! I just wonder who the mystery partner will be? Jim Robson: No one really knows... names have been tossed around. Everyone from current IWF/WOWers such as Trevor Storm or Liam Rogan, to former IWF/WOWers such as Rick Styles or Alex Martinez. Jack Anderson: Hell, I even heard a rumour that the late, great Derrick DaMann is the mystery partner!?! Jim Robson: That certainly would be a surprise. Jack Anderson: Would it ever. Jim Robson: Another interesting match is the Intercontinental title match... and part of the reason why it is so interesting is that it is a strap match. This could be a classic. Jack Anderson: Well Maverick and Trevor Storm have been going at it back and forth for a while now... each one keeps trying to out smart the other. We'll see who will get the upper hand here tonight. Jim Robson: Another match of real interest is the number one tag team titles contenders match... we have four teams going at it in an elimination match - the Ewiak Brothers, Infinite Justice, Intent to Injure and the Down South Connection. Jack Anderson: And just what does the winning team get? Jim Robson: Well they of course get a shot at the World Tag Team Champions, Eric Travers and Wade Thompson, on day two. Jack Anderson: I wonder who Travers and Thompson want to win this match? [The crowd ERUPTS in boos as "Sad But True" from Metallica's S&M album blasts through the sound system.] Jack Anderson: Speaking of the Trifecta... Jim Robson: Oh brother... Jack Anderson: Show some respect for the Icon, and the Legend... [As Anderson is speaking, the entire Trifecta walk through the curtain.] Jack Anderson: ... And the Suicidal Commisioner!! What a treat!! [The Trifecta make their way down to ringside. Travers is wearing his gold trunks, gold boots, and gold kneepads, along with his Oakley X-Metal Romeos, and the new black Nike Eric Travers t-shirt. Travers also has his World Tag Team Title belt over his shoulder. Thompson is wearing his black long tights with AoD down the right leg in white letters, along with white boots, and a black Egos and Icons t-shirt, also with an IWF/WOW World Tag Team Title over his shoulder. McMannis has not put his tights on just yet, as he wears a pair of blue jeans and a black "EGOS & ICONS: War Games" t-shirt.] Jim Robson: Why are these three here now? War Games isn't until later in the night! Jack Anderson: I bet they have something to say. Jim Robson: [sarcastically] _Great_. [The trio make it to the ring and slide in under the bottom rope. Travers gets a microphone from Francine.] ERIC TRAVERS: Well, well, well... Here we are. July first, Canada Day, Egos and Icons... WAR GAMES!! [HUGE crowd pop] ERIC TRAVERS: Here in this ring are three members of the Trifecta... Three members of the team that later on tonight will tear RRJ, Billy Rock, Justin Arcola, and Paul Kiljoy into itty bitty little pieces inside the cage that hangs above these two rings!! [BOOO!!] ERIC TRAVERS: But I know what you're all dying to find out... You all want to know who the fourth member of this unstoppable unit is don't you? You're all sitting there on the edge of your seats wondering who will walk the aisle with us later on tonight to earn one thte last four spots in the ID4 Rumble... Well, I can tell you he's a wrestler, and that he's big, and that you'll all recognize him when you see him. [Travers laughs to himself as the crowd boo. Travers hands the mic over to the VP.] WADE THOMPSON: In this ring right now are three of the best wrestlers to ever grace an IWF/WOW ring. The fourth member of our team fits right in. The fourth member of this team is a man, that years down the road, you'll look back and say, "He was one of the best ever". You'll look upon him, the way you all look upon me now... The way you look at Nate, and the way you look at Eric Travers. And after tonight is done, those who oppose us will look upon us with great fear and regret!! [Some boos] WADE THOMPSON: When we're finished with War Games tonight, they're all going to regret ever having stepped into the cage with us. They'll wish they hadn't been so brave as to oppose the Trifecta!! RRJ, Rock, Arcola, Kiljoy, you boys have stepped into a match you have no business being in.. I don't care where you've been before, I don't care how many titles you've won... I don't even care that you're all bickering about the World Title... None of it matters because you're entering this match against four of the most vicious men to ever step foot in a wrestling ring. None of us have a problem ending any of your careers... In fact, we intend to try and do just that!! [The crowd boo some more, and Thompson passes the mic to McMannis. The crowd _immediately_ breaks into a "YOU SUCK!" chant.] NATE McMANNIS: _Eat me_. [McMannis hoists the middle finger high in the air for all to see. The chant breaks so everyone can boo the Commissioner.] NATE McMANNIS: I've spent the better part of the last six months being told by the fans in MAYHEM Arena that I suck. Well after EGOS & ICONS... after the Trifecta proves that it is the greatest stable in IWF/WOW _history_... after I _win_ the World Title -- [He looks at Travers & Thompson, who don't appreciate that comment.] NATE McMANNIS: -- you can chant that I suck all the live long fucking day. The bottom line is that tonight is a history making night in I/W history... we will _destroy_ Billy Rock and friends... and the Trifecta reigns _absolutely_, _positively_... _supreme_. After EGOS & ICONS... the Trifecta rules the whole _fucking_ world, and there isn't a _thing_ any of you _CANADIANS_ can do about it. [Heel pop.] NATE McMANNIS: Because you will all soon figure out just what the hell Trent Reznor and David Bowie were talking about when they wrote the song "I'm Afraid of Americans". The power that you see in this ring is about to expand... and you should all be afraid for what it means for the future of the I/W. [He passes the mic to Thompson.] WADE THOMPSON: I think what Nate's trying to say is... you fans as well as our opponents tonight better be ready... to get addressed. [Thompson drops the mic to the canvas with a thud as "Sad But True" blasts once again. The crowd jeers loudly as the three men begin marching back to the locker room with shit-eating grins on their faces.] Jim Robson: The Trifecta certainly seem to be focused tonight, Jack. Jack Anderson: I can't imagine what these eight men are going to do to each other inside of two rings and a monstrous steel cage. ============================================ EGOS & ICONS: New Era continues in part 2... ============================================ Jim Robson: EGOS & ICONS is huge. You never know which superstar is going to impress the officials in the back and get that dream match they have always wanted. Jack Anderson: Yeah, or which guy in the back is going to suck an egg and totally blow whatever chance he had at stardom. Take for instance the next two guys. Jim Robson: You are talking about two of the superstars in the I/W. Jim, you are going to get yourself into a lot of trouble if you dont be careful. Decked out in a pair of black and red wrestling tights with matching clefts [kick pads covering the shins], matching arm sleeves, and kneepads. Knight hangs his head underneath the entranceway. He snaps his head back, and raises his arms as he does so. We can see the intensity on Knight's face. He glares at the capacity crowd as they continue to cheer him and makes his way slowly down to the wrestling ring, looking it up and down singing along with the chorus of his music] Knight slides into the ring, walks to the left side of the ring, stand on the bottom rope raising his arms, playing to his fans.] Jack Anderson: Damon Knight is pumped and primed for competition tonight. But he has to face a man that is returning from some time off. Jim Robson: He should have stayed home. Nobody wants to watch him anyway. ["Party Hard" by Andrew W.K. kicks starts the crowd into a frenzy, and the curtains are ceremoniously pulled open by two lovely ladies dressed in mini shorts and tight t-shirts.] FRANCINE: Now entering, from the Great State of Wyoming, standing 6'2 and weighing 220lbs, former Tag Team Champion and one half of the soon to be crowned Tag Team Champions, the one, the only, the incorrigible, SASSY SAMMYYYYYYY GRIFFIN!!! [Strutting through the ropes comes Mr.Color himself. Neon pink tights with white sidewinder stripes, violet purple shirt with "JUST DID IT" in white across it. Black, Teal, and Yellow boas wrap around his shoulders and trail down his arms. Arms that are held out wide in appreciation of the crowd support given him. Oh, did I mention LIME GREEN WRESTLING SHOES? With a wink to the girls, Sammy steps through the curtains and strolls down the ramp to the ring. Couple of hand slaps on the way as Andrew W.K. inspires the crowd to sing along "PARTY HARD". Sammy climbs the top turnbuckle, tosses the boas toward the fans, winks at Francine and dives into the ring, rolling to a halt in center ring, on one knee with arms wide once AGAIN to the delight of the crowd.] Jack Anderson: Did he just wink at Francine? Jim Robson: Maybe, what if he did? Jack Anderson: You know Anderson, keep your nose out of my business. Francine is too much woman for Sissy Sammy. I just want to make sure that she doesnt end up with a loser when she could have someone so much more sophisticated, like myself. Jim Robson: Say what? Sophisticated? Let's go the ring. Jack Anderson: Don't steal my lines Anderson. Jim Robson: Damon Knight and Sammy Griffin about the same size here and we are going to see just how much ring rust Griffin has. Damon Knight and Griffin locking up now and neither man getting the early advantage. They roll around the ring bouncing off the ropes. They land in the corner and Griffin throws a punch and hits the turnbuckle. Jack Anderson: Someone get him a watch. His timing was way off on that one. Jim Robson: Damon Knight with a wrap around and big belly to back suplex. Griffin to his feet though and he shakes off the cobwebs. Damon Knight charging him, Griffin leaps over and Damon Knight bouncing off the ropes. Griffin hits the mat and Damon Knight hits a legdrop across the neck. Jack Anderson: Someone get him two watches. That boy needs some help. Jim Robson: Damon Knight to his feet and he runs to the ropes and jumps off the second rope. Griffin up to his feet and Knight launches with a Lionsault. Griffin catches him and plants him with a nice powerslam. Sammy to his feet and he drops a series of elbows across the chest of Damon Knight now. Jack Anderson: I guess someone found him a watch. His timing is alright now. Jim Robson: Griffin picking up Damon Knight now and he sends him to the ropes. Knight comes off and Griffin wraps him up in an abdominal stretch. Jack Anderson: Griffin turning it into a big pumphouse slam now. Griffin with the first cover. 1 . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 2 . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Jack Anderson: Knight kicks out. Griffin picking him up again and this time sending his opponent into the turnbuckle. Griffin charging in and plants his shoulder into the midsection. Griffin wraps his leg over Knights head and plants him with a Flatliner in the corner. Sammy up and the fans starting to get into this match now. Jack Anderson: He better be careful or he is going to end up losing this match. He doesnt need those fans to be successful. Jim Robson: Griffin doesn't go for the pin. He comes off and Damon Knight meets him with a Hurancanrana. Jim Robson: Griffin reversing it and POWERBOMB!! Jack Anderson: Damon Knight just bounced off that mat like nobody's business. Sammy to his feet and he told us before the match he had a new finisher. Jim Robson: He calls it the Sassynator! He puts Knights head down. He hooks the leg and now dives forward into a roll. I really did think so. Jim Robson: It was close. But in the end Sammy turned out to be the better of the two. Jack Anderson: Hmm... well, after a loss like that, I think I'd have to cross Damon Knight off my list of possible partners for the Trifecta... I just don't think he is Trifecta material. Jim Robson: What about Sammy? Maybe it could be him? Jack Anderson: Him? Ha! You have got to be kidding me. Jim Robson: He did just pull out a well deserved win here tonight, and he is a former World Tag Team Champion as a member of the Boys Next Door. He is dressed in orange tights, with a giant, yellow, winking sun on his ass. Mack is also clad in yellow boots and yellow kneepads. His hair is bleached blond and closely cropped.] Jack Anderson: Yeesh. I could piss on this guy and you couldn't tell. Jim Robson: Interestingly, Mack Ensassarol threw a mini tantrum on Mayhem for getting placed against Vile Vince Viper instead of Sabin Figaro, and declared that quit the I/W before making a volte-face of sorts. He then agreed to this match against Vile Vince Viper tonight at EGOS & ICONS, swearing that he would keep on smiling. [Mack stops dancing and flashes the fans his trademark "stupid goofy smile." Jim Robson: You pantsed people in college, Jack? [As he dances to the ring, he slaps the fans hands. He points to a fans sign that reads: The Sunshine Kid deserves respect. Mack gives the fan a high five and lifts the sign up for all to see.] Jim Robson: Issues have been brewing on Mayhem between this man Mack Ensassarol, and one Vile Vince Viper...and they seem to revolve around their common dislike for one Sabin Figaro. Let's see if they can settle their score here tonight. Jack Anderson: Hey, you called this guy a "man" earlier. You might consider rescinding that designation. [Mack slides in the ring under the ropes, and climbs the turnbuckle. With his hands raised in a "field goal" formation, he salutes the fans.] Crowd: UUUUUUUUUUUHHH!! Jack Anderson: HOLY MOLY! Jack Anderson: He's gonna catapult him onto the ropes!! Jim Robson: He's got him locked! Viper falls back...AND ENSASSAROL FLIES INTO THE ROPES!! Ouch; that top rope got him right in the throat!! Jack Anderson: SO close! Jim Robson: Now Viper lifts up Ensassarol and sends him to the corner with an Irish whip...and he sends Ensassarol hard into the opposite turnbuckle! Viper charges...RUNNING DROP KICK IN THE CORNER!!! And Ensassarol is down on one knee from the blow. Jack Anderson: Where did that name Ensassarol come from? Sounds like a motor oil. Jim Robson: Wait, Ensassarol grabs the legs of Viper and takes him down! He climbs on top of Viper and wails on him with lefts and rights!! And the crowd is just loving it! Jack Anderson: Who said Mack Ensassarol had the skills of a mat technician? You call this technical skill? Whoever said that oughta be shot. Jim Robson: Now Ensassarol goes for his first cover... 1 . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 2 . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Jim Robson: No only a two count! [The crowd gets behind Mack Ensassarol as he lifts Viper back up to his feet.] Jim Robson: Ensassarol with a front bear hug around Viper! Jack Anderson: Eww! Jim Robson: Shut up! He lifts Viper in the air...Belly-to-belly Overhead Suplex! Jack Anderson: How was he able to throw 260 pounds of Vile Vince Viper like that? Jim Robson: Now Ensassarol ascends to the top turnbuckle and waits for Viper to rise to his feet...Ensassarol jumps...AND VIPER IS DOWN AGAIN WITH A MISSLE DROPKICK!! Beautiful maneuver by "The Sunshine Kid". He slowly lifts up Viper by the back of the head...and Viper grabs Ensassarol by the head and pulls him down!! OUCH!! VIPER PULLED ENSASSAROL'S JAW RIGHT INTO HIS SKULL!! The Kid is holding his jaw now; what a counter by Vile Vince Viper. Jack Anderson: Hey Jim, Let's look at this replay... [Double-screen switcharoo.] Jack Anderson (VO): Viper didn't just pull Ensassarol down with both hands. Look, as Ensassarol bounces back from the first impact, Viper sneaks another shot to the underside of his jaw with a metal object! We see it, but the ref sure didn't! Jim Robson: That explains why Ensassarol is still feeling the pain. Viper must have taken that from the jacket he's still wearing. Viper now whips Ensassarol into the ropes...he comes back...AND VIPER LEVELS HIM WITH A CLOTHESLINE!! That smack echoed throughout the entire arena! [Viper falls back against the side and comes back down on top of Ensassarol with a flying knee. He tumbles over and gets back to his feet, then raises the sign of the devil in the air as the crowd boos him.] Jack Anderson: Hey you morons, show Vile Vince Viper some respect! This man is a legacy, and he's kicking the crap out of Mack Ensassarol. That's MUCH more commendable than never having one measly sip of alcohol! Jim Robson: But here comes Ensassarol up from behind....BRIDGING BACK GERMAN SUPLEX!! OH MY GOD!! 1 . . . . . . . . . . . . . 2 . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . NO! KICKOUT BY VIPER!!! AND THE SUNSHINE KID IS LIVID! He picks up Viper by the waist and runs with him...RUNNING SPINE BUSTER!! And Ensassarol is holding his jaw once again. I think the impact of the spine buster seemed to re-aggravate that jaw of Mack Ensassarol. Jack Anderson: Oh great, we have another Arcola on our hands. Viper is back up! He grabs Ensassarol from behind, AND A RUSSIAN LEG SWEEP TAKES HIM DOWN!! [The crowd boos as Viper looks down at Ensassarol with a maniacal smile, then he starts nailing him square in the forehead with right hands.] Jim Robson: Viper is just trying to hurt this poor youngster, just like he promised on Mayhem! He stops punching with those heavy right hands and drags Ensassarol to his feet...Irish whip to the ropes...ENSASSAROL GETS SLAPPED WITH A DROPKICK!! WHAT A MOVE!! VIPER GOES FOR A COVER!! 1 . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 2 . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . [Crowd pops.] Jim Robson: NO! SUNSHINE KID KICKS OUT!!! Jack Anderson: And Viper showing a bit of frustration...He picks up Ensassafras once again. Jim Robson: He's taking him near the turnbuckle, and he lifts him overhead! Crowd: UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUH!! Jim Robson: HE POWERBOMBED ENSASSAROL ON THE BOTTOM TURNBUCKLE!! Crowd: UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUH!! Jack Anderson: Now the middle! IT'S THE APEX OF POWERBOMBS!! Crowd: UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUH!! Jim Robson: And now the top! He's lifting him up one more time and... Crowd: UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUH!! Jack Anderson: HE OVERSHOT IT! He tossed Ensassarol OVER the ropes, OUT of the ring, and he lands back first into the steel steps!!! [Ensassarol is a mess. He lies on the floor, holding onto the back of his head, and there are scrapes on his back from the steel steps. As he tries to sit up, some blood trickles down over the yellow winking sun on his ass.] Jim Robson: I can't tell if Vile Vince Viper intentionally meant to throw Ensassarol completely out of the ring and to the floor. Combined with that shot to the jaw earlier, he will definitely need some attention when this match is over. Jack Anderson: HA! And Viper is showing no mercy. He's hoping outside the ring, and...what's he doing? Jim Robson: He's going toward ringside...over to a mother cradling an infant! Jack Anderson: HE SNATCHES THE BABY! OH GOD, VIPER EATS BABIES, IT'S TRUE AFTER ALL!! Jim Robson: He's kissing the infant on the forehead, and the mother looks terrified! Jack Anderson: This is weird. Jim Robson: He turns toward Ensassarol...OH MY GOD, HE'S GONNA HIT ENSASSAROL WITH THAT INFANT!! WHAT A SICK MAN!! [Viper winds up...] Jack Anderson: He hit Ensassarol with the blanket? Jim Robson: The mother snatched her baby back when Viper was in mid swing! Now Viper drops the blanket, and he goes to strike the mother! Oh dear Lord... [The mother braces herself with her infant...] Jim Robson: ENSASSAROL IS UP! HE LATCHES ONTO VIPER'S HOOKED ARM! [Crowd goes WILD!] Jim Robson: OH MY GOD, THAT WOMAN JUST POPPED VIPER IN THE FACE!! And Ensassarol tosses Viper back into the ring to break Michael Hall's 10-count. Jack Anderson: That fan should be thrown out of this arena immediately!! How come nobody is doing anything? Jim Robson: It's a plant, calm down. Ensassarol lifts Viper up now, and he throws a punch...Viper blocks it and he smacks Ensassarol right back in the jaw once again!! Jack Anderson: And Viper is quick to use the time. He's up on the top turnbuckle right away! And he leaps with a double-ax handle in the air!! Jim Robson: Ensassarol catches him with a kick to the gut on the way down! [POP!] Jim Robson: AND ENSASSAROL QUICKLY PICKS HIM UP AND LIFTS HIM OVERHEAD!! Crowd: OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH!! Jim Robson: SUNNY SKIES!! HE FLIPPED VILE VINCE VIPER INTO A SIT DOWN FACE BUSTER AND HE'S GOING FOR A PIN!! 1 . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 2 . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Jim Robson: VIPER GETS A SHOULDER UP BUT HE'S TOO LATE!! DING DING DING!! ["Walking on Sunshine" by Katrina & The Waves plays over loudspeakers. Jack Anderson: DAMN I HATE ROOKIES! FRANCINE: The winner of the match by pinfall... "The Sunshine Kid" Mack Ennnnnnnnnnnnnsassarol!!!!! [Vile Vince Viper pushes Mack Ensassarol off him, and Ensassarol hops to the top of the turnbuckle and give the crowd his "field goal" salute. He returns to the middle of the ring and offers a handshake to Vile Vince Viper, who's wiping the sweat from his upper lip.] Jack Anderson: Oh don't rub it in my face! Jim Robson: C'mon Jack, this is sportsmanship at it's purest. [WHAT THE HELL POP!!] Jack Anderson: Viper is smiling!! And he shakes Ensassarol's hand! Jim Robson: I can't believe it! That truly demonstrates the respect of a veter... [WHOOSHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.] [WHOOSHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.] [WHOOSHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.] Jim Robson: MIST!! VIPER JUST SPAT THREE DIFFERENT COLORS OF MIST INTO THE FACE OF MACK ENSASSAROL!! Jack Anderson: HA! And he's still going! [WHOOSHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.] [WHOOSHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.] Jack Anderson: I get it! It's all the colors of the rainbow...because it's queer Mack Ensassarol. (Singing) "He's blinded by Sun-shine, woah-oh-oh. And doesn't it feel goooood!" Crowd: BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! Jim Robson: Now Viper is doing the Satan Strut around Ensassarol, and he drives that pinky and forefinger into his eyes! Stop it! He's already blinded by that mist! His jaw is probably dislocated or broken!! Michael Hall tries to pull him off, but no avail. Here come security officials, finally! [Yellow jackets pry Vile Vincent Viper away from Mack Ensassarol, who looks like a box of Lucky Charms. Other officials help him to stand up. One of them throws a towel over his head and he gets assisted to the back.] Jim Robson: If that altercation took that much security to break apart, I hate to see what will happen when that Hell in the Cell cage comes down, and War Games gets out of control. [Camera pans away from Mack Ensassarol, and up to the rafters, where the cage looms large overhead.] Jim Robson: Folks... War Games is still coming up, but right now lets hear from one of the teams involved in our next match. [We're backstage right before the #1 contenders tag match. Jesse & Frank Ewiak, dressed in their ring gear, are standing at the interview station. No interview though. Odd.] Jesse Ewiak: Why no Edwards? Simple. We don't need him. We don't need his questions. We know what we want to say and to who. First, to the Down South Connection. Nice party. You and all your friends. While you were hanging around in an empty hotel room, my little bro' was being harassed by about fifteen beautiful girls at a club, I was at my hotel room, talking to my beautiful wife and what did you guys do? Pull your pud and finish off in the Sears Catalog. DSC, this is out time. Not yours, not anybody elses. Simple as that. We don't care what we have to do and who we do it too, those tag titles are _ours._ Plain and simple. If you don't like it, tough sh[BLEEP]. [PROFANITY POP!] Jesse Ewiak: Now, on to Infinite Justice. Good guys, but sorry, you're in our way. You have to go down like all the others. We have no prolem with giving you guys a title shot after we win back _OUR_ belts, but tonight, we see you as just another bump in the road... Frank Ewiak: And boys, don't think this is empty talk. I may drink copious amounts of alcohol and my brother may act like freakin' Batman, we are dead serious. We will climb to the mountain top, kick all your guys asses, then take on Over-the-Hill and Pu[BLEEP] whipped and take back the EYE DUB World Tag Titles after Jesse drops one of you with the choke slam, and I'll hit not a Sean Christopher-level, not a Hightower-level, not even a RRJ-level, but a Billy Rock & Justin Arcola-level BEST DAMN FROG SPLASH in the BUSINESS! [POPPAGE!] Frank Ewiak: And as for Intent to Injure - [Frank laughs, but Jesse cuts him off.] Jesse Ewiak: That's all. Intent to Injure, you're nothing but a bunch of glorified thugs and at the end of the day, thugs and bullies fall hard to the ground. As far as I'm concerned, every man who's standin' between us and the tag titles are.... Jesse Ewiak & Crowd: DEAD MEN WALKING! [Jesse & Frank exeuent and we're back to Jim & Jack.] ============================================ EGOS & ICONS: New Era continues in part 4... ============================================ Jack Anderson: This is going to be a real batter... Jim Robson: It is sure to be. All four teams - the Ewial Brothers, Infinite Justice, the Down South Connection and Intent to Injure want a shot for the World Tag Team titles, and tonight is their chance to earn that shot. Jack Anderson: And you just know Travers and Thompson are watching backstage, scouting these four teams out... because this Thursday, on day two of EGOS & ICONS, they're going to meet up with the winners. Both men stand atop the entrance ramp for a few moments soaking in the boo's from the fans. Both men are wearing there normal wrestling attire. Allen with black wrestling tights that read "Expert" down the left and the right leg. He also wears a pair of black boots that read DSC on both boots. Jim Robson: I believe you're referring to the Ewiaks win a few weeks back.. Jack Anderson: That explains it... I'd want better number one contenders too if I were Jurkschat. You can't seriously put The Ewiak Brothers in the ring with Thompson and Travers and expect the match to be entertaining! It would be sooo one sided that... Jim Robson: Crazy Brave is in the ring with Kenneth Morlock to start things off. Remember, this is an elimination match, so the first fall doesn't count for anything special. The last team left standing faces The World Tag Team Champions three nights from now at The Independance Day Rumble! Jack Anderson: They get their asses kicked three nights from now at the Independance Day Rumble, get it right Jim!! Jim Robson: Crazy Brave locks up with Morlock. Frank Ewiak and Johnny Revere didn't see any of what just happened, as Frank Ewiak has Revere in a reverse chinlock and is facing the other direction. Ewiak releases the hold and stands Revere up in a front facelock... TORNADO DDT!!! Frank Ewiak stands up and goes to his corner, but his brother is still on the ground! FULL NELSON POWERBOMB!!! Ewiak drives an elbow into the chest of Washington and covers!! 1 . . . . . . . . . . . 2 . . . . . . . . . . . . 3!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NO!!! Washington kicks out!! Jack Anderson: Thank you!!! Jim Robson: Jesse Ewiak lifts Washington and whips him into the ropes... WASHINGTON DROPKICKS EWIAK IN THE KNEE AGAIN!! Nice recovery by Washington!! Ewiak is in a lot of pain!! Washington has done a good bit of damage to that knee tonight. The strategy, as underhanded as it has been, has worked like a charm!! Jack Anderson: Now if only Revere were to get onside with Washington and do something even SLIGHTLY underhanded, this might be a good tag team! Jim Robson: Washington tags in Morlock. Kenneth Morlock kicks Ewiak in the knee again and sets him up... DOUBLE UNDERHOOK PILEDRIVER!! Morlock lifts Ewiak and tags in Matt Allen!! Morlock sets Ewiak up for the piledriver... DOWN SOUTH DROP!! SPIKE PILEDRIVER!!! Allen covers!! 1 . . . . . . . . . . . 2 . . . . Here comes Frank Ewiak!! . . . . . . . DAVIS WASHINGTON CUTS FRANK OFF WITH A DIVING SHOULDERBLOCK FROM HALFWAY ACROSS THE RING!!! . 3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THE EWIAK BROTHERS ARE DONE!!! FRANCINE: The Ewiak Brothers have been ELIMINATED!!! Jack Anderson: YES!!! MAYBE THERE IS A GOD!!! Jim Robson: The Ewiaks are gone, and we're down to two teams. Either Infinite Justice, or The Down South Connection will get the title shot on Day 2!! Jack Anderson: Matt Allen has looked great tonight, I'm going to have to go with them. If Revere had a mean streak, then I'd go with Infinite Justice, but Revere is a pansy! Jim Robson: Revere gets into the ring as Allen faces Washington... BULLDOG BY REVERE!!! Johnny Revere heads for the turnbuckle and climbs to the second rope... Rever drops an elbow across the chest of Matt Allen!! Kenneth Morlock climbs into the ring and hits Revere from behind!! That brings Washington into the ring!! We have bedlam, as all four men are going at it inside the ring!! Jack Anderson: Cartwright can't seem to get control of this!! Jim Robson: Both these teams wnat this match bad, and it's beginning to show!! Revere is exchanging chops with Matt Allen, and Washington and Morlock are trading fists!! Allen takes a wild swing at Revere, but Revere ducks and sends Allen over the top rope and to the floor!! Allen landfs on his feet and pulls Revere out with him!!! Kenneth Morlock whips Washingotn into the ropes... Morlock ducks, and Washington rolls over him, and schoolboys him!! CARTWRIGHT IS COUNTING!! THEY'RE NOT LEGAL!! 1 . . . . . . . . . . . 2 . . WASHINGTON HAS THE TIGHTS!! . . . . . . . . . 3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DING!! DING!! DING!! Jack Anderson: Infinite Justice have done it!! I thought The Down South Connection had it for sure!! Jim Robson: I'm not sure what happened, but I think referee Geoff Cartwright got confused in the melee, because Allen and Revere were the legal men!! But the decision is going to stand, and Infinite Justice are going to wrestle for the Tag Team Titles on Day 2!! FRANCINE: Here are your winners, INFINITE JUSTICE!!! [The crowd cheer as "The Battle Hymn of the Republic" begins to play. The crowd then begin to boo loudly as that music fades out and is replaced by "Sad But True" from Metallica's S&M Album. Seconds later the World Tag Team Champions emerge from behind the curtain. Both men are dresse din their wrestling gear, prepared to enter War Games later in the evening. Travers has a microphone in his hand and he begins to speak.] ERIC TRAVERS: First of all, I'd just like to say congratulations to Infinite Justice on their wonderful victory here tonight, and also to The Down South Connection for their valiant effort as well. [The crowd sit silent, unsure how to react, though they know they'd like to boo. Infinite Justice stand in the ring, and The Down South Connection in front of it, looking up on the stage at the champions.] ERIC TRAVERS: The second thing I'd like to say is that despite the fine show you two teams put on tonight, neither of you are truly deserving of taking a shot at the Greatest IWF/WOW Tag Team Champions of all time!! [BOOOOOO!!] ERIC TRAVERS: None of the teams that were in this match, truly deserve a shot. None of you are even in our league!! None of you have the skills, or the smarts to truly challenge a team as good as we are!! [More boos, as well as two very unhappy looking teams in the ringside area. Travers hands the microphone to Thompson.] VP THOMPSON: The thing is, Eric and I have a very important match tonight, and then another very important match on Day two, and I'm NOT talking about the Tag Team Title match. We'll both be in the ID4 Rumble, and though it will be near the end of the contest before we enter it, neither of us see the point is risking injuring ourselves dispatching with Infinite Justice, no matter how easy it would be!! [The crowd boo again.] VP THOMPSON: Therefore, Eric and I have decided that it is best that we vacate the Tag Team Titles as of this moment!! [Mixed reaction] VP THOMPSON: And as the Vice President of this organization, I have made the following decision. There will still be a World Tag Team Title match on Day Two, but it won't involve us. It will be the last two teams involved in this match tonight. It will be Infinite Justice versus The Down South Connection!!! [Crowd pops.] VP THOMPSON: Good luck boys. [With that, Travers and Thompson both lay their tag team title belts on the stage, and turn and wlak to the back.] Jim Robson: I can't believe it!! Thompson and Travers have vacated the tag titles, and decreed that Infinite Justice and The Down South Connection will face each other three days from now for the belts!! Jack Anderson: I can't say I blame them Jim. The ID4 Rumble is more important to them. Jim Robson: I'm shocked. Jack Anderson: I'm guessing they just want to be extra rested. Jim Robson: I guess so. Jack Anderson: You know, if you remember back to 1997, VP Thompson, as the Angel of Death, drew number one and out-lasted _thirty-nine_ other men to win the ID4 Rumble, and the IWF/WOW World Heavyweight title. Jim Robson: What a night that was. Jack Anderson: So really, he has to be the odds on favourite this year. I mean, even if some out of this world thing happened and he had to come out as number one, he'd only have to out last _twenty-nine_ other men. That's like twenty *fewer* minutes in the ring. Jim Robson: So you think Thompson is going to win the Independence Day Rumble on day two? Jack Anderson: He stands a strong shot. Jim Robson: We'll find out in a couple days. Jack Anderson: I can't wait. ============================================ EGOS & ICONS: New Era continues in part 5... ============================================ Jim Robson: Folks, the last few months have seen a lot of friction between Maverick and Trevor Storm... ever since Storm lost the Intercontinental Title to Billy Rock, these two men have been at each other's throats, each man claiming the rights to the IC Title that Rock essentially vacated after his victory. Jack Anderson: But, Jim... tonight we will finally have the issue settled. Maverick is set to face Trevor Storm, and the winner is going to be the _next_ Intercontinental Champion... and, quite frankly, I hope Storm regains _his_ title. Jim Robson: Let's go up to Francine. [Pop!] FRANCINE: And it is... a STRAP MATCH! Both men will be strapped together by a 20 foot leather strap... the winner will be the first man to touch the cornerpost of all four corners in succession! [Pause.] FRANCINE: Introducing first... [The crowd begins buzzing.] FRANCINE: FROM GREENSBORO, NORTH CAROLINA, standing 6 feet 6 inches tall, and weighing in at 240lbs..... [LIGHTS OUT!] Jim Robson: Oh _HELL!_ FRANCINE: "the Revolution!" Before the licking flames gives the man's appearance full illumination, the fire quickly extinguishes...and completely darkness once again.] Jim Robson: As always, we're seeing one hell of an entrance from Trevor Storm! Jack Anderson: He's gonna need more than just an entrance tonight, Jim... as much as I hate to admit it, Maverick's on a roll! [LIGHTS ON!] [Standing at the bottom of the ramp, dead center, his head lowered, dark eyes hidden beneath long strands of black hair staring towards the ring. His face laced with steel, his body covered all in black, all except the white "Punisher" skull centered on his long sleeve shirt.] Jack Anderson: And here comes the man himself! Trevor Storm is _fired_ up! Jim Robson: I don't remember a more important Intercontinental Title match, Jack... these two men are hungry, and this is a _big_ step to the main event for both of these men! ["the Revolution" Trevor Storm holds up his hand, and the music instantly fades to the audible sound of an unappreciative crowd. Surrounded by a hateful crowd, Storm slowly pulls himself into the ring.] Jim Robson: Storm is in the ring and awaiting the man who is _begging_ for Storm's best shot. Jack Anderson: I just hope Storm is prepared to chop down that big oak tree of a man. ["Rock the Party" by P.O.D. begins to play over the loudspeakers. The crowd cheers wildly.] FRANCINE: And his opponent! About to enter the ring, from Grosse Pointe, Michigan standing 6 feet 5 inches and weighing 350 pounds, here is... M A V E R I C K !!!!!! [Green laser lights fill the arena and flood the entrance as the arena lights go down and Maverick walks out backwards with his arms outstretched from his body. He has on his leather jacket with his name spelled out in gothic letters. He is wearing denim shorts, and his boots have metal plates that extend from his toes to the top of his ankle. Maverick, his head lowered and his hair in front of his face, slowly turns to the ring and drops his arms as he flips his hair out of his face. He looks out across the arena as the lights come back up and he starts the walk to the ring. He gets to the ring and removes his jacket revealing a T-shirt of some obscure rock band. We also see that his fists are taped. He drops his jacket and slides under the bottom rope ready for action.] Jim Robson: Maverick wastes no time getting into the ring... this is a _big_ man, Jack, I don't think that there's any question. I think that it'll be interesting to see which way this match goes... Storm has an inch on Maverick, but the big man from Grosse Point goes 110 pounds more than the Revolution. Jack Anderson: You're right, Jim... Mav will have the power advantage, but I think that Trevor Storm's mind and sheer ability might put him over in this one. Jim Robson: And now referee Miguel Hernandez has produced that large, 20 foot strap... this is not like any other match, Jack... a strap match can leave welts on the body the likes of which would make the Count of Monte Cristo himself cringe. Jack Anderson: You are a _huge_ nerd, Jim. _Huge_. [Hernandez has retrieved the strap from the ringside area and is now putting the strap around Trevor Storm's wrist. Storm obliges, not taking his eyes off of Maverick. Hernandez then moves over to the big man. He lifts up the other end of the strap but -- -- Storm runs across the ring and drops the unsuspecting Maverick with a big time lariat! The crowd jeers this act of heelishness.] Jim Robson: Storm with a big lariat, but the match hasn't even begun! This is _not_ fair! Jack Anderson: If you didn't think that was fair, you will _not_ approve of what's about to happen! [Storm has wrapped some of the strap around his paw for leverage and... !!!___WWWHHHIIIPPP___!!! ... whips the bejesus out of Maverick's spine!] CROWD: OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH!!! Jim Robson: CHRIST ALMIGHTY! YOU COULD HEAR THAT WHIPPING NOISE FROM SASKATCHEWAN! Jack Anderson: Maverick is _writhing_ on the mat! [As Hernandez tries to gain control, Storm threatens to whip him, before reaching down and ripping at Maverick's t-shirt. He removes the t-shirt completely, revealing an _extremely_ red back. Storm smiles as he hoists the strap again. !!!___WWWHHHIIIPPP___!!!] CROWD: OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH!!! Jack Anderson: JESUS! Jim Robson: JUST _LOOK_ AT MAVERICK'S BACK! IT'S REDDER THAN AN APPLE! [Storm reaches down and picks up the other end of the strap, the wristhold... and puts it around Maverick's wrist. He barks an order at Hernandez, who immediately signals to the timekeeper's table.] [DING, DING, DING] Jack Anderson: This match is underway, and they are certainly starting on even ground. Jim Robson: Are you kidding me, Jack?! Storm attacked before the bell and he isn't letting up! [Storm is back on the offensive, wrapping the strap around Maverick's throat. He hoists up and brings Mav to his knees, while the big man gasps for air. The crowd jeers as Storm grins, choking the life out of the Grosse Point native.] Jim Robson: Jack, anything goes in these strap matches... the only way you can win is to touch all four corners in succession... and Storm is taking advantage of that by absolutely choking the holy hell out of Maverick! [Storm squats over Maverick's back, taking a free hand to put Maverick's arms over his knees. He continues hoisting up on the strap, choking Maverick while having him locked in a camel clutch. Maverick screams in pain, while spit begins flying from his mouth.] Jack Anderson: Storm is obviously well prepared... he has Maverick by the throat, and he's got him locked in a vicious camel clutch! Look at him wrench back on that, Jim! Jim Robson: It's like he's having a contest with himself to see what he can do first, choke Maverick to death or break the man's back! [Storm hops up and sits down with authority across the small of Maverick's back. Mav crumples to the mat, clutching his throat, coughing, and spitting. Storm immediately begins dragging Maverick towards a corner of the ring, and slaps the corner with his right hand. He then walks along the ropes towards the next corner, and with twenty feet of leeway, he has no problem tagging that corner either. He then begins walking along the ropes once again, towards the third corner.] Jack Anderson: Trevor Storm is the winner, Jim! It's that quick! Jim Robson: He just tagged the third turnbuckle! Storm might win it and Maverick hasn't even had any offense! [Storm begins walking towards the fourth turnbuckle... the crowd, who have been booing strongly, have broken into a big time chant. "MAV-RICK! MAV-RICK! MAV-RICK!" Storm is halfway to the final turnbuckle... and he is stopped.] Jim Robson: Maverick is conscious! Maverick is tugging on that rope! Storm can't go anywhere because Maverick is pulling him back! Jack Anderson: If Maverick releases his hold on that strap, Storm just has to dive and hit the turnbuckle! It's a test of strength, Jim! [Maverick is tugging, Storm is tugging... and Maverick takes one _BIG_ tug, bringing Storm to the center of the ring and on his back with a thud! Big pop! Maverick climbs on top of Storm and begins driving his skull into the mat over and over again, each time lifting Storm's entire body off of the canvas.] Jim Robson: Maverick is back in this match! These fans are going crazy, Jack! They are behind Maverick a full one-hundred percent! Jack Anderson: Maverick is trying to rip Storm's head right off of his shoulders! [Maverick gets back to his feet, wrapping the strap around his forearm. He jerks Storm up to his feet, who seems to be way too groggy to even understand what he's doing. Maverick takes a foot long length of the leather between his hands and uses it to clothesline the Revolution in the throat, sending him to the canvas.] Jim Robson: Maverick's on the offensive for the first time in this match! He's dragging Storm back to his feet again... and he's wrapping that strap around Storm's torso! He's got Storm's back to him, and he's got him up... belly-to-back suplex! Jack Anderson: But he's still got Storm wrapped up in that strap! Storm's got nowhere to go! Maverick rips him back up to his feet again with that strap! _ANOTHER_ belly-to-back suplex! He's throwing Storm around like a child, damnit! Jim Robson: And he's got him back up again! This time he brings him in chest to chest... _BELLY-TO-BELLY_! He just damn near put the Revolution _THROUGH_ the mat! [Maverick is back on his feet, and the strap has unraveled from around Storm's body. Storm lies limp in the center of the ring, as Maverick slides underneath the bottom rope and to the outside of the ring. He yanks on the strap, violently bringing Storm to the outside and smashing his head against the concrete! Pop!] Jack Anderson: That _had_ to hurt! Storm might have a concussion! Jim Robson: Maverick is bringing Storm up to his feet... Storm hasn't gotten much in edgewise since his early offense. Maverick is _slinging_ Storm towards the ringpost! Storm catches the strap and pulls back on it, Maverick flips head over heels and lands right on his back! Both men go down! [Nice bump pop!] Jack Anderson: Trevor Storm really used that strap to his advantage there! Both of these men are very well prepared for this match, Jim! I'm impressed, and that is not an easy accomplishment! Jim Robson: That's for sure. [Neither man is able to get to their feet, but Storm is crawling. He crawls to the ring, and underneath the ring.] Jim Robson: What is Storm doing underneath the ring, Jack? Jack Anderson: How the hell should I know? You're the broadcast journalist around here, I'm just the resident jackass. Jim Robson: That is the most truthful statement you've made in years, Jack. Years. [Storm comes out from under the ring, sliding out a thick piece of wood we like to call a table. Big "HE'S GOT A TABLE!" pop!] Jack Anderson: Trevor Storm's got a table! He's gonna try to drive Maverick right through the wood! Jim Robson: Storm's up on his feet and he's setting that table up... Maverick is still grounded, he must've been winded by that head over heels fall! Storm has that table set up now... and he's dragging Maverick to his feet... _BIG_ right hand takes Maverick down against the apron! Storm picks Maverick up and puts him on the apron... Maverick rakes the eyes! He's standing on the apron and he drags Storm up onto it... and a big hip toss over the top-rope sends Storm back into the ring! [Maverick climbs over the top-rope into the ring. He lifts Storm up and holds him in a bearhug position, backing into the corner. The crowd pops as we all know what he's about to go for.] Jack Anderson: NO! NO! HE'S GOING FOR GROUND ZERO! Jim Robson: MAVERICK'S CLIMBING THE ROPES! HE'S UP ON THE SECOND ROPE! HE'S GOT HIM IN POSITION, AND HE'S SET TO DROP GROUND ZERO RIGHT IN THE CENTER OF THE RING! [Maverick attempts to deliver the big spinebuster from the second rope, but Trevor's feet are locked into the top-rope. Storm blocks a second attempt and Maverick loses his grip, dropping Storm right onto the second rope, where he catches his balance. Storm manages to bring Maverick up onto his shoulders while Maverick is off guard into a fireman's carry! Storm places one foot on the top-rope and jumps _SIDEWAYS_! Storm jumps _OUT OF THE RING_!!! !!!!!!___CCCRRRAAASSSHHH___!!!!!! AND LANDS A DEATH VALLEY DRIVER THROUGH THE TABLE!] Jim Robson & Jack Anderson: HOLY SHIT!!! CROWD: HO-LY SHIT! HO-LY SHIT! HO-LY SHIT! HO-LY SHIT! HO-LY SHIT! [Storm & Maverick lay motionless on the concrete, both men covered in splinters and woodchips.] Jim Robson: DEAR GOD ALMIGHTY! TREVOR STORM JUST COUNTERED GROUND ZERO WITH A DEATH VALLEY DRIVER STRAIGHT TO THE OUTSIDE OF THE RING AND THROUGH THAT TABLE! Jack Anderson: THAT WAS THE DAMNDEST THING I'VE EVER SEEN! Jim Robson: HE BROKE MAVERICK'S BACK, HE BROKE HIS OWN BACK, HE WOUNDED MAVERICK PHYSICALLY, MENTALLY, AND, HELL... I THINK HE WOUNDED THE MAN'S VERY _SOUL_ WITH THAT MOVE! [After that _vicious_ maneuver, both men continue to lay motionless while the crowd continues its roaring.] Jim Robson: Jack, I think the most violent part of that move was that Trevor Storm goes 6'6", 240 and he brought that big, tall glass of water Maverick, who goes 6'5" and 350, _right_ over his shoulders and drove him straight to hell! Jack Anderson: I am at a loss for words... I can't even _believe_ what I just saw! I don't think these two men are going to get up, Jim! [Don't speak too soon... because Trevor Storm is stirring! The crowd applauds, maybe because they're just amazed that someone survived. Storm is slowly getting up to his feet, and is using the ropes to do so. Storm has reached his feet, but is _extremely_ wobbly, almost falling down right on his back. He manages to stabilize himself enough to get back into the ring... he taps the corner right next to him, and begins walking towards the next corner... but he's attached by that strap, and Maverick is 350 pounds of dead weight at the other end!] Jim Robson: Storm has this match won, but he can't go anywhere because Maverick is attached to the other end of that strap! Storm's move might come back to cost him! Jack Anderson: He's coming outside, and he's getting the big man up... he's having a lot of problems here, Jim! He might be out of gas! He's dragging Maverick to his feet... I don't know if he can get him up! [Maverick is finally exumed from his cement grave and Storm uses both his hands to throw the big man underneath the bottom rope and into the ring. Storm then climbs back in and taps the turnbuckle closest to him and then begins walking to the next turnbuckle. He walks backwards, lugging Maverick behind him with two hands on the strap, as if Maverick was a dead fish that he just caught in the ocean.] Jim Robson: He hit the second turnbuckle! Storm is muscling Maverick around the ring! He's trying to drag him to the third turnbuckle! Wait! No! Maverick just grabbed the bottom rope! He's trying to stop Storm's momentum! Jack Anderson: Storm with a boot to the face! And another! And a third! Maverick releases the rope! That might've been Mav's last burst, Jim! Storm drags him to the third turnbuckle, and he smacks it! It's almost over! Jim Robson: He's dragging him to the final post, Jack! This is it! [Storm is reaching for the last post, but his fingertips are literally inches from it. Before he can turn and make a last tug, Maverick reaches up and grabs Storm's arm! Maverick death rolls over, and Storm flips over the top-rope, with the strap around his neck!] Jim Robson: MAVERICK IS HANGING STORM! MAVERICK TOSSED STORM OVER THE TOP AND HE'S BEING HANGED, JUST LIKE ON MAYHEM! Jack Anderson: Maverick's up on his feet and he's choking the hell out of Trevor Storm! Storm is being executed! He can't breathe, he's being choked and hanged! And now Maverick is pulling that strap along with Storm towards that cornerpost that Storm missed, and he slaps it! Maverick is going around the ring! [Maverick brings Storm up onto the apron and flings him over the top-rope and into the second ring! On the way over, Storm manages to bump his head right off of the turnbuckle, knocking him for dead. Maverick then begins walking towards the second turnbuckle, dragging Storm along with him in the other ring.] Jim Robson: Maverick's using the two ring set up to his advantage Jack! He's keeping Storm at a distance while he walks the ring! Maverick slaps the second turnbuckle! But now he has to go to the other side of the ring and get Storm back in there with him! [Maverick grabs Storm by the neck with both hands, and hurls him back into the active ring. Storm lands with a thud, but uses whatever gas he has left and musters up the energy to lift himself up in the turnbuckle. Maverick spikes Storm's head right into the turnbuckle and begins walking to the third post, with Storm following him in an awkward daze.] Jack Anderson: Jim, Storm has lost so much oxygen after the hanging, he is just _following_ Maverick! He is out on his feet! Jim Robson: And Maverick tags the third turnbuckle! And... Trevor Storm tagged it behind him, Jack! Jack Anderson: I guess Storm is trying to hit any turnbuckle he can! Jim Robson: But wait, Miguel Hernandez is holding up a three in both hands! Each time that Maverick threw Storm head-first into those posts must've counted for the Revolution! Both men are looking at their final turnbuckle! Jack Anderson: Storm yanks on the strap! He was playing possum! The master of mind games knew what was going on! He yanked in Maverick and nailed him with a lariat! Maverick is down! Jim Robson: Storm is trying to crawl to that last turnbuckle, but Maverick has him by the legs! He's holding him back! [Maverick rolls through on his leghold, into a single leg crab! He wrenches back on the move, using his free hand to try to grasp the corner. Storm screams in agony as Maverick leans back as far as he can, but he's just millimeters from his target!] Jack Anderson: Maverick is just _that_ close, Jim! Jim Robson: If either of these men hits that last turnbuckle, it's over! Maverick caught on, he knows that Storm is right behind him! One of these men is gonna be the next Intercontinental Champion! Jack Anderson: Maverick releases the hold and he's free to go tag the corner, he's gonna be the champion! [Maverick attempts to walk to the corner, but the strap is tangled up in Storm! As he attempts to untangle the strap, Storm hits a small package that pushes both men towards the corner! The two men immediately separate and get to their feet, now standing _RIGHT_ beside the key corner! Both men reach for it, and they grab each other's hand! They are both attempting to power the other away from the corner... and Maverick drills Storm with a right hand! Storm counters with a left! Maverick hits another right! Storm with a boot to the gut! Maverick doubles over, and Storm reaches down for him in a powerbomb position... ... BUT MAVERICK COUNTERS WITH A BACK BODY DROP OVER THE TOP-ROPE! STORM FALLS TO THE GROUND AND HITS _HARD_! MAVERICK REACHES OUT... AND _SLAMS_ HIS FIST ACROSS THE TOP TURNBUCKLE!!!] Jim Robson: YES! HE HIT IT! [DING, DING, DING] Jack Anderson: WHAT A MATCH, JIM! ["Rock the Party" blasts over the PA once again.] FRANCINE: LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, THE WINNER OF THIS CONTEST... AND... NNNNNNEEEEEEWWWWWW IWF/WOW INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPION!!! MMMMMMAAAAAAVVVVVVEEEEEERRRRRRIIIIIICCCCCCKKKKKK!!! [_HUGE_ POP!] Jim Robson: MAVERICK HAS WON THE INTERCONTINENTAL TITLE! MAVERICK HAS OVERCOME TREVOR STORM, AND HE HAS WON THE GOLD! [As if the pop couldn't get any louder, coming down the aisle is none other than... "THE SERIAL THRILLER" BILLY ROCK! GETDAFUQUP! Rock sprints down the aisle, and slides underneath the bottom rope. Meanwhile, Maverick has removed the strap from around his wrist, and throws it down onto Trevor Storm, who lays on the cement, clutching his back. Rock enters the ring and immediately raises his friend's hand in the air.] Jim Robson: Billy Rock is here to celebrate with Maverick! [Rock hoists up his t-shirt to reveal... the Intercontinental Title! He removes it from his waist and places it across Maverick's ample shoulder. Maverick looks at Rock, heaving with big breaths, and smiles, as he gives Rock a big hug! Pop!] Jack Anderson: Isn't that just _sweet_?! Bah! Jim Robson: This is Maverick's night, Jack! He showed that he could hang with Trevor Storm and he _BEAT_ Trevor Storm, Jack! That was one hell of a match! Jack Anderson: I'll give you that, that was the best strap match I've ever seen. Some of these guys have held championships that don't even exist anymore! Jim Robson: That's correct. Both Eric Travers and RRJ held the defunct IWF/WOW US National Title. "Angel of Death" Wade Thompson held another version of the US championship before the merger. Jack Anderson: And Arcola is the Hardcore champion! There are an astonishing _Twenty-five_ title reigns being represented in this one match. This match spans generations, Robson. We have the best from every saga in IWF/WOW history about to converge. From the Angel of Death to Eric Travers and Razor Ron Jeremy. From those two, to Billy Rock and Justin Arcola. The future stars of this organization such as Kiljoy and McMannis. And who knows about this Mystery Partner? Who is he? What's he gonna deliver? My mind is completely boggled. Jim Robson: Oh? And I always thought it was just twisted. [KABOOM!!] Jim Robson: Whoa! [KABOOM!!] [KABOOM!!] [Fireworks crackle under the roof to fire up the fans and let them know it's time.] Jim Robson: It's time! It's time for WAR GAMES! [Francine stands outside the cage.] FRANCINE: Ladies and gentlemen ... it is now time for the MAIN EVENT of EGOS & ICONS, DAY ONE!!! [HUNGRY POP!!!!] FRANCINE: Two representatives for each team will enter the double ring, double cage. After five minutes a coin toss will decide which team may send another man into the ring. The two teams will then alternate entrants every two minutes until every member of both teams has entered the match! Then and ONLY THEN can the match conclude by SUBMISSION only! Jim Robson: I've got chills. FRANCINE: Ladies and gentlemen ... it is time ... for WAR GAMES!!! [BLOODTHIRSTY POP!!!!] FRANCINE: Introducing first ... # !!! ___OOH___ ___WAH___ ___AH___ ___AH___ ___AH___ !!! # [Disturbed. "Down With the Sickness". Eric Travers, Wade Thompson, and Nate McMannis. Oh, it's on.] Jim Robson: Here comes the most despised stable in IWF/WOW history... more hated than the original Trifecta, more hated than the Inner Circle, even more hated than that disaster of a stable that Damian Malcolm put together... Jack, these three men are hated, deadly, and, most importantly, _powerful_. Jack Anderson: They have all of the stroke around here, and they are gonna show it off tonight in War Games! [The crowd loudly jeers as the camera pans in on "Suicidal" Nate McMannis, the IWF/WOW Commissioner. He wears a pair of black leather tights and matching boots, with a matching vest. In his right hand is his infamous gavel, the walking cane that has broken down so many I/W superstars.] [The camera then pans over to "Epic" Eric Travers. On the screen appears an Oakley logo in the bott om left hand corner, with reference to www.oakley.com . A Nike Swoosh is in the bottom right hand corner with reference to www.nike.com/Canada , and in the top right appears a new endorsement, the Mountain Dew logo with reference to www.mountaindew.com] Jim Robson: Mountain Dew now? What the hell? Travers must have been more upset by the Billy Rock/Sprite deal than anyone realized! Jack Anderson: This is great!! I LOVE Mountain Dew!! [Travers is wearing his gold wrestling trunks, which now have the "Do the Dew" logo on the back, gold Nike wrestling boots, gold knee pads each with the Oakley O on the front, and gold elbow pads. He looks confident as ever as he stands on the ramp beside his teammates.] [The camera finally reaches "The Angel of Death" Wade Thompson. Thompson is wearing his black long tights with AoD written up the side in white letters and white wrestling boots. Thompson stands with a serious look on his face, intently focused on the task at hand.] Jim Robson: What the hell are these three goofballs waiting for? They're just standing there on top of the ramp! Jack Anderson: I don't know, Jim... but I _do_ know that they're coming out _together_, and they are a _real_ team. Jim Robson: I think that their opponents are just as motivated, Jack... but the question is... which one of them is a member of the other team? Or is McMannis bluffing?! [As the music climaxes, Justin Abel & Crazy Brave, both dressed in suits, make their way onto the entranceway. The Trifecta's bodyguards are carrying a red carpet. They drop it on the ground and begin rolling it towards the ring. The crowd jeers _loudly_ at this act of regalia.] Jack Anderson: This is _great_! Intent to Injure are rolling out the red carpet for the Trifecta! Jim Robson: Who the hell do these three think they are?! Jack Anderson: They are the _suits_, Jim! They _run_ the show! They _deserve_ the red carpet treatment, and I think it's about time that this happened! [I2I stand at the end of the carpet as the three members of the Trifecta beginning walking down the aisle, alongside Tricia Lane. Travers stops midway and sends Tricia to the back. Lane looks none too happy, but after a kiss on the cheek and some words from Travers, Lane returns the kiss and reluctantly walks to the back. The three men continue to the rings.] Jim Robson: I'd like to know is why Travers sent Lane to the back? Jack Anderson: Probably because he doesn't want her out here to witness the carnage, or risk her getting hurt in a wild melee. FRANCINE: And their opponents ... # ... WHATEVER IT TAAAAAKESSSSS!!!!! ... # [GET THE F*CK UP!!!!!] ["Whatever It Takes" by POD plays as "Legacy" Paul Kiljoy, wearing the IWF/WOW North American Title, is the first to emerge. He walks the aisle with a calm demeaner.] ... "L E G A C Y" P A U L K I L J O Y ! ! ! [Razor Ron Jeremy follows him shortly, hamming it up with the fans along the way.] ... "R A Z O R" R O N J E R E M Y ! ! ! [A few seconds later, Justin Arcola, wearing the IWF/WOW Hardcore Title, and "Serial Thriller" Billy Rock, wearing the IWF/WOW World Heavyweight Title, walk the aisle side by side.] ... J U S T I N A R C O L A ! ! ! ... and "S E R I A L T H R I L L E R" B I L L Y R O C K ! ! ! [Both teams approach one another as soon as they reach the ringside area.] Jim Robson: Hold on a minute! These two teams are ready to go at it right now! [Charles Gibson and his team of security stand between the hostile energies. Billy Rock and Justin Arcola shove a few guards around as they shout back and forth with Nate McMannis and Wade Thompson. Eric Travers tries to reach over and slap RRJ, who catches the hand and tries to bite it.] Jack Anderson: Hey! He almost chowed on Travers' fingers! Jim Robson: Haven't you ever heard of finger foods? Jack Anderson: Nyuck ... nyuck ... nyuck. [Paul Kiljoy stands further away from the commotion, and his teammates. He strokes the I/W North American Title on his shoulder while staring in awe at the double ring, double cage structure.] Jim Robson: Hold on now. Nate McMannis just swiped a microphone from the timekeeper's table. [McMannis taps the mic to make sure it's on. He points to Billy Rock through security.] NATE McMANNIS: Hey! [Chaos still reigns. He raises his voice.] NATE McMANNIS: HEY! PAY ATTENTION! I'M THE COMMISSIONER, DAMMIT! [Things simmer a little.] NATE McMANNIS: I'm not going into that contraption first! No way! But I'll be damned if I'm gonna wait my turn with _him_ on the loose! [He points more firmly toward Rock, then pulls something out from under the ring apron.] Jim Robson: Those are handcuffs! NATE McMANNIS: I'm the COMMISSIONER, and I want Billy Rock handcuffed to this cage until he's ready to get inside! Otherwise this match is CANCELLED! [Fans] BUUUUULLSH*T!!!!! BUUUUULLSH*T!!!!! BUUUUULLSH*T!!!!! BUUUUULLSH*T!!!!! BUUUUULLSH*T!!!!! BUUUUULLSH*T!!!!! BUUUUULLSH*T!!!!! BUUUUULLSH*T!!!!! BUUUUULLSH*T!!!!! [Billy rolls his eyes while Arcola isn't shy about his feelings. RRJ shakes his head with his hands on his hips. Kiljoy is strangely listless.] Jim Robson: He's gotta be putting us on! Jack Anderson: Hey, I don't blame him. You know Billy doesn't play well with others. He can't even get along with his own teammates. Jim Robson: This is ridiculous. [Billy, Justin, RRJ, and Kiljoy follow Head of Security, Charles Gibson willingly toward their side of the cage. Gibson cuffs Billy's wrist to the side with an apologetic look. Billy makes a gesture through the cage, aimed at McMannis.] Jim Robson: The world champion letting our commissioner know that he'll see him in the cage. Jack Anderson: Oh, he'll definitely see McMannis in the cage. From his comfortable position handcuffed to the cage. Hah hah! ANIMAL! Jim Robson: Senior IWF/WOW Official, Miguel Hernandez is now asking for the first entrants from each team. It'll be interesting to see who starts it off. [McMannis, Travers, and Thompson huddle. Around the corner, Billy, Arcola, and RRJ conduct their own vote.] Jim Robson: Arcola looks like he's volunteering to go in. Billy and RRJ asking him if he's sure. And I believe he is. I believe it's settled that Arc--no, wait. [Billy flattens his palm against Arcola's chest, then points toward the railing a few feet away.] Jim Robson: He's pointing at Kiljoy! Billy wants Paul Kiljoy to go in first! Jack Anderson: What the hell is this!? He's not volunteering! Jim Robson: I don't think he has a choice! Billy, Justin, and RRJ are all nodding agreement! If Kiljoy is the turncoat, we're gonna find out right here! Right now! [A disgruntled Kiljoy shakes his head like a teenager pondering his parents lameness to himself. He enters the cage door and slams it hard behind him.] [POP!!!] Jim Robson: Kiljoy is the first one in the cage! Who's it gonna be for the Trifecta? Who's going to step up? [BOOOOOOOOOO!!!!] Jack Anderson: IT'S TRAVERS! Jim Robson: Indeed, "Epic" Eric Travers will try and clear a path for the rest of his teammates! Ladies and gentlemen, buckle your seatbelts! ============================================ EGOS & ICONS: New Era continues in part 7... ============================================ [Kiljoy stands in the center of Ring 2. Travers looks on from Ring 1.] DING DING DING [5:00] Jim Robson: It's happening! It's really happening! Jack Anderson: What is? _Nothing's_ happening right now. They're just staring each other down from each ring. Jim Robson: But can you feel it, Jack? There's something special in the air tonight. Jack Anderson: Oh, nope. Sorry. That's just the chilli fries I had earlier. Jim Robson: Hardy har, Jack. There's an aura surrounding this match. There's so much history, legacy, and destiny involved here. It's just immeasurable. [Travers cautiously moves across Ring 1 and climbs through the ropes, into Ring 2.] Jim Robson: Here we go! Here we go! Jack Anderson: Kiljoy's backing up. Jim, I think Kiljoy's the turncoat! I think he's the Mystery Partner! Jim Robson: If he is, I don't think anyone bothered to consult Travers about it. He's playing it very carefully here. They're both in the same ring now. And wait a second ... ... Kiljoy's reaching out ... ... ... ... ... he's ... ... he's ... ... ... ... [BOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!] Jim Robson: THEY'RE SHAKING HANDS, DAMMIT! KILJOY AND TRAVERS ARE SHAKING HANDS! AND THEY'RE BOTH GRINNING FROM EAR TO EAR! THIS _SUCKS_! Jack Anderson: Hah hah! Kiljoy turns out to be a pretty bright kid after all! [Kiljoy turns toward Billy, Justin, and RRJ, laughing smugly. He flips them off with his free hand.] Jim Robson: He's rubbing it in! That little bast--Argh! This is CRAP! Jack Anderson: Hey! What if the Trifecta win the coin toss!? It'll be three on one by the time RRJ or Arcola or Billy enter the ring! Oh man this is great! [Kiljoy, in a fluid motion, turns back to Travers. His smile suddenly gone, and Travers now stares point blank at a middle finger.] Jack Anderson: What the-- [__HEEEEEYUGE__ POP!!!] Jim Robson: URAKEN!!! URAKEN!!! URAKEN!!! [Travers body spins 360 degrees from the spinning backfist before falling flat on his back.] Jim Robson: Kiljoy slingshots himself into Ring 2! He darts across, and now he's staring right down at McMannis and Thompson, who are IRATE! [Kiljoy jams his middle finger, and his crotch, repeatedly in their direction before turning around and sprinting across the ring once more.] Jim Robson: KILJOY DIVES OVER THE ROPES AND BACK INTO RING 1! [POP!!] Jim Robson: HE CATCHES TRAVERS WITH A FLYING FOREARM! [4:22] Jack Anderson: That damn turncoat! Jim Robson: They thought they had him! The Trifecta thought Kiljoy would really turn his back on his friends! Mystery SOLVED! And now the Trifecta's "Mystery Partner" is all over Eric Travers! Right hands! Left hands! Holy cow! Kiljoy doesn't care _what_ he hits Travers with! He picks up the three time heavyweight champion of the world and fires him into the corner! Kick to the--Travers catches his ankle! [POP!!] Jim Robson: Enzuigiri! Travers falls out of the ring and onto the apron! Kiljoy's climbing the turnbuckles! Not sure I understand the purpose, but he's got _something_ in mind. Travers is getting up quicker than Kiljoy expected! He slugs Kiljoy in the stomach! Again! [Travers places one hand between Kiljoy's legs, and another against his chest.] Jim Robson: NO! DON'T! x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x [CHING!!] [UUUUUHHH!!!] Jim Robson: TRAVERS LAUNCHED HIM ACROSS THE GAP AND HEAD FIRST INTO THE CAGE!!! Jack Anderson: Not only did Kiljoy hit the cage head first, he plummetted at least seven feet right after! Jim Robson: Which leaves no question as to why he's NOT moving on the floor! That could've broken his neck! Travers hops off the apron, pretty pleased with himself if the look on his face says anything, and he's not gonna allow any time for Kiljoy to recover. Jack Anderson: I don't think there's much chance of that. Jim Robson: He turns his back to the cage and tucks Kiljoy's ankles beneath his arms. [CHING!] Jim Robson: Slingshot into the cage! Kiljoy ricochets right off! He staggers for a second ... and falls right on his face! [3:58] Jim Robson: Travers pulls him right back up. Piledriver on the concrete! There are NO pads out there! Jack Anderson: Kiljoy's busted open! He's dripping like a leaky faucet! Jim Robson: This looks bad. He might be paying for his deception of the Trifecta right here and now. TRAVERS-- [CHING!] Jim Robson: SLAMS KILJOY RUTHLESSLY INTO THE CAGE FACE FIRST! [Kiljoy screams as Travers grates his face across the steel. And then ... ] [UUUUUHHH!!!] Jim Robson: Travers with a backdrop, but the back of Kiljoy's head hit the ring apron! Jack Anderson: Did you see that blood spray? Whoa man! I told you this was crazy! Jim Robson: And no one's arguing with you there. Travers picks up the bloody North American champion and rolls him into the ring. He goes the top rope now. Unstable territory for Travers. [BOOM!] Jim Robson: He nearly crushes Kiljoy's skull with a knee-drop! Travers with the cover, but there are _no_ pins allowed here! [POP!!] Jack Anderson: WHAT THE-- Jim Robson: AMAZING! KILJOY, INSTINCTIVELY, KICKED OUT ANYWAY! And that hacks Travers off! He feels shown up now! He jerks Kiljoy to his feet! Slingshot suplex! THE EPIC END--NO!! [POP!!] Jim Robson: KILJOY FLOATS OVER HIS BACK! [BOOM!] Jim Robson: DIVING INVERTED DDT!! [Travers is stunned, and Kiljoy desperately tries to push himself up.] Jack Anderson: Look at that stream of blood pouring from his forehead. There's a puddle of Kiljoy's blood right there in the center of the ring! Jim Robson: This is definitely not for the faint of heart. [3:16] Jim Robson: We're nearly three minutes away from the next entrant. And as a testiment to just how grueling this match is on the body, we're only a little over two and a half minutes involved and these two are already feeling like they've been in a train wreck. Kiljoy drives an elbow into Travers head before rising to his knees! [Kiljoy rises from his knees alone, without using his arms, and dashes toward the ropes.] Jim Robson: Kiljoy off the ropes! HE LANDS ON TRAVERS RIBS WITH BOTH KNEES! HE COULD'VE BROKEN THEM! HE COULD'VE BROKEN TRAVERS RIBS! Jack Anderson: He may have! Travers eyes almost shot out of his head! Jim Robson: Kiljoy pulls him up. A scoop. Rib-breaker across the knee! Travers is INJURED, folks! Eric Travers is in horrible pain! Kiljoy's laying the boots on thick to those ribs! He's kicking the former world champion like he were laced and wrapped in pig skin! He picks him up and pulls his arm behind his head. Knee-left into the ribs! Again! Again! ROUNDHOUSE KICK! Travers collapses! [He lands on his knees, supporting himself with one arm, tucking the other against his ribs.] Jack Anderson: This match is gonna cost someone their career, Robson! This is so completely unecessary! Jim Robson: Not for these men who are so passionate about their beliefs, Jack. Kiljoy scoops Travers up and hangs him from the turnbuckles! He's in the tree of woe! And Kiljoy dropkicks him in the ribs! He rolls under the bottom rope and walks around behind the ring post. He grabs Travers by the neck and yanks back! Travers is dying in there! He's screaming for help! McMannis and Thompson are slamming their fists against the cage. Kiljoy dives back into the ring and runs toward the other corner. He dashes back toward Travers! ... ... ... ... ... BASEBALL SLIDE DROPKICK!! [UUUUUHHH!!!] Jim Robson: TRAVERS RAISED THE UPPER HALF OF HIS BODY!! [Kiljoy lies motionless with his legs wrapped around the ring post.] Jim Robson: Travers is holding his ribs! It had to have killed him to raise up like that! [THUD!] Jim Robson: And he falls! He falls right on Kiljoy! His body landed right on Kiljoy's head! [2:58] Jack Anderson: Three minutes into this match and both these guys look like they've been fighting all night long. Man, there's a streak of blood on the canvas where Kiljoy slid. Jim Robson: Travers is crawling across the ring. He's heading for Ring 1. He wants to get as far away from Kiljoy as possible right now. He's got to protect those ribs! Kiljoy's making progress though. He's bending those knees to try and get to all fours. Travers rolls under the bottom ropes and into the other ring. He looks over his shoulder and sees Kiljoy in pursuit! Travers is scrambling now! He's going for the door! Jack Anderson: Let him out! Let him out! Jim Robson: He can't! This match can't stop until everyone is inside that cage! The only hope Travers has is that the Trifecta wins the coin toss! He slithers out of Ring 1! He's crawling across the floor toward the door! He's begging to be let out! Traver is is pointing to his ribs and PLEADING with Miguel Hernandez to open it! He's pulling himself up the door! He's-- [CHING!!] [BONG!!] [UUUUUHHH!!!] Jim Robson: KILJOY DROPKICKED HIM INTO THE DOOR FROM THE APRON!! BUT KILJOY HIT HIS HEAD ON THE BOTTOM RING STEP COMING DOWN! [And that was not part of the show.] Jim Robson: Good God almighty! These two are killing themselves in there! Kiljoy is unbelievabley fighting through it! He's fatigued! He's gotta be dizzy! He's bleeding like a spigot! Kiljoy wipes the blood from his eyes and picks up Travers! He locks one of his arms behind his back and grabs a handful of his hair! [CHING!] Jim Robson: INTO THE CAGE! [CHING!] [CHING!] Jim Robson: Kiljoy's screaming at him! He's asking Travers why he wants to leave! [CHING!] [CHING!] [THUD!] Jim Robson: He jerks Travers onto his back by the hair! [2:34] Jim Robson: He rolls Travers into the ring. Kiljoy on the apron. He reaches over the top rop and pulls Travers up. Travers is leaning over the top rope. European uppercut! Travers stumbles backwards! Kiljoy grabs the middle rope and leans back. [UUUHH!!] Jim Robson: SLINGSHOT SPEAR THROUGH THE ROPES!! Jack Anderson: Kiljoy's moving too fast! Not only is he taking out Travers, he's taking himself out! He's a dead man if the Trifecta wins the coin toss! [Kiljoy and Travers both lie on their backs, breathing heavily.] Jim Robson: There's less than two and a half minutes left! Then one of these men will be lent a hand. ... ... ... ... ... [1:46] Jim Robson: Finally, Kiljoy is using the ropes to pull himself up! Travers seems to have the same idea. He looks over his shoulder. Kiljoy does the same, and they lock eyes! They charge one another! DOUBLE CLOTHESLINE! ... NO! TRAVERS DUCKED AND CAUGHT KILJOY'S ARM! [BOOM!] Jim Robson: FULL NELSON SLAM! Travers falls into the ropes! Bounces off! Diving elbow drop! Right into Kiljoy's open wound, and there's blood smeared all over Travers forearm! He slowly brings Kiljoy to his feet and fires him into the ropes ... Travers with a spinebuster! And now he's really laying it on thick! Violent right hands to that gash on Kiljoy's forehead! He picks him and shoots him into the turnbuckles! Follows up with a huge clothesline! Kiljoy was just mashed into the corner! Travers is showing a second wind here! He presses Kiljoy over his head! Watch out! [BOOM!] Jim Robson: Slams him to the canvas! But now he's holding those ribs and limping across the ring! His ribs just aren't cooperating! Travers climbs through the ropes and hops back into Ring 2. He slumps against a turnbuckle and takes a breather. Kiljoy's shaking off the effects of Travers' rally though. He's slithering under the ropes and into Travers ring. His teammates are cheering him on outside! [Billy, Justin, and RRJ pump their fists in the air, getting the crowd solidly behind Kiljoy.] Jim Robson: He's creeping up behind Travers. He jerks him around! Kick to the mid-section! [POP!!] Jim Robson: DDT! DDT! [:52] Jim Robson: Kiljoy picks him up and shoves him into the corner! Big right hand! He takes a coin out of his pocket.] Jim Robson: Travers hits a belly to back cradle suplex! [:18] Jim Robson: He leads Kiljoy to the ropes ... and he's tying up his arms! He's got Kiljoy tied up in the ropes! [Travers takes a moment to watch the coin toss.] Jim Robson: Hernandez flips the coin. Thompson calls it in the air. . . . . . [SMACK!] Jim Robson: He did it again! Not only are beating him to a pulp, they're humiliating him! They want to send the Trifecta a definitive message here tonight! [He picks up Travers and rolls his lifeless body into the ring.] Jim Robson: Oh God ... now it's bad. [Kiljoy pulls himself up onto the apron and rolls in as well.] Jim Robson: Arcola opens up the ladder and places it in the corner. Kiljoy's slowly opening up the table, but Arcola's in a hurry. He pushes Kiljoy aside and opens it up quickly. Now he grabs Travers and guides him toward the ladder. [Arcola climbs the side furthest from the table, while pulling Traves by the hair up the other side.] Jim Robson: Here comes Kiljoy! HERE COMES THE ANGEL OF DEATH!! Jack Anderson: There's no more fitting time for an Angel of Death to show up than after what just happened! The stench of death is DEFINITELY in the air! [Wade slides into the ring where Arcola lays and grins from ear to ear, knowing what's at his mercy.] Jim Robson: This is horrible. Thompson climbs through into the other ring and picks up a chair. He heads back into the previous the ring. Oh he's just waiting for Arcola to get up. He's DYING for Arcola to stand up! Arcola's stirring! Thompson lifts the chair! This is gonna be nasty! ... ... ... ... [BANG!!!] [POP!!!!!] Jim Robson: PAUL KILJOY!!! HE SPRINBOARDED OFF THE TOP ROPE, INTO THE OTHER RING, AND WHEELKICKED THE CHAIR INTO THOMPSON'S HEAD!! Jack Anderson: How the hell did he recover so fast!? Jim Robson: He's got more guts and brains, Jack! Jack Anderson: He must've reached WAY down ... er ... up ... uh ... into his ass of tricks for that one! Jim Robson: Kiljoy picks up Thompson and whips him into the ropes! He charges him as he comes back! Kiljoy slides between his legs! Thompson puts on the brakes and turns around! Kiljoy's up! URAKEN!!! [POP!!] Jim Robson: NO! THOMPSON DUCKED IT! KICKS KILJOY IN THE BREAD BASKET! [UUUUUHHH!!] [CLANG!!] Jim Robson: HE DDT'S HIM INTO THE CHAIR HE DROPPED!! Thompson turns him over and goes for the pin, but that's just useless! Those don't count! Someone PLEASE explain the rules to these guys. Thompson places the chair across Kiljoy's face. [BANG!] Jim Robson: AND STOMPS RIGHT ON IT! Man, Kiljoy's so bloody. He's the only one so far that's been lacerated. Jack Anderson: Bite your tongue there. Look at Travers. I think he cut his forehead on some debrit from the table when he went through. Jim Robson: Look out! Arcola's sneaking up on Thompson! HE CLIPPED HIM! He drove his shoulder right into the back of Thompson's knee! He grabs the chair! [Travers begins to crawl out of the rubble. He has his eyes set on Kiljoy, who's lying still.] [BANG!!] Jim Robson: ARCOLA SLAMS THE CHAIR INTO THOMPSON'S KNEE! Good gawd that was unmerciful! [BANG!!] Jim Robson: He did it again! Arcola's serious about this! Jack Anderson: Travers is making his way to Kiljoy, Robson. He grabs him by the arm and pulls him out of the ring. Oh he just jerked him! Kiljoy hit his shoulder right on the floor! Travers reaches down and spreads Kiljoy's arm across the concrete. Jim Robson: OH NO ... HE'S LIFTING UP THE TOP HALF OF THE STAIRS! [BONG!!] "AAAAAHHH!!" Jim Robson: GOD! DID YOU HEAR KILJOY SCREAM!? HE DROPPED THE STAIRS ON HIS ARM! [Travers picks up the stairs once more.] [1:24] Jim Robson: NO DON'T DO IT AGAIN! DON'T DO THAT! [BONG!!] "AAAHH!! GODD*MMIT!!" Jim Robson: MY GOD! SOMEONE SHOW SOME MERCY! Jack Anderson: Arcola's showing none for Thompson! He's got him turned over into a half crab, and I just don't think the leg is suppose to bend that far back! Jim Robson: Travers grabs Kiljoy by the wrist and the hair as he picks him up. And he runs his bicep into the ring post! He pulls Kiljoy back and wrings that arm ... he jerks him in and drives his own shoulder into his bicep! Jack Anderson: Kiljoy's been hanged, nearly bled dry, and now he's getting his arm practically torn off. Jim Robson: Travers places Kiljoy's arm on the apron. And he drives his elbow down into the bicep! Kiljoy instinctively falls to his knees and bellows in pain, but Travers drives one more in before he can slip away! He scoops Kiljoy up. Shoulderbreaker! And he drops him on the floor! TRAVERS DIVES INTO THE RING AND TACKLES ARCOLA! Jack Anderson: He may have broken Thompson's leg if Travers hadn't! Jim Robson: Travers slowly climbs up and pulls his partner to safety. Arcola's exhausted. He's rolling onto his side as the former tag champions go over a strategy here. Thompson's letting Travers know just how bad his leg is hurting him. Travers is asking him to bear it out. Letting him know about the pain in his own ribs. Thompson nods, and it looks like, with Kiljoy hurt badly on the floor, they're going to double team Arcola! But Arcola's not going down easy! He stands up at swings at the oncoming duo! Travers dodges it and grabs him by the arm! He's holding Arcola by both arms now! Arcola's struggling. Thompson kicks him in the gut to calm him! He slaps him right across the face! Thompson points to his leg, screams at Justin, and slaps him again! Jack Anderson: Man, that's just pissing him off! PUNISH HIM, GUYS! Jim Robson: Thompson picks up the steel chair! And he jams the end of it right into Arcola's neck! Justin wants to fall, but Travers is holding him up! Thompson plunges it right back into his neck! Travers pulls him back and locks in a standing dragon sleeper! Thompson takes the end of the chair into Arcola's hip! They're tearing him apart! Travers is wrenching back on that dragon sleeper so hard his eyes are nearly popping out of his head! Arcola's reaching for anything! But Thompson slams him right in the hip again! [Kiljoy finally comes to.] Jim Robson: Kiljoy has returned to the frey. His arm looks like it's just dangling there. Kiljoy slides gingerly into the ring without the action. He climbs through the ropes and goes after Thompson! [BANG!!] Jim Robson: BUT HE GETS TAKEN OUT WITH THE CHAIR! Jack Anderson: That was just waiting to happen. Jim Robson: Thompson spreads out Kiljoy's arm! [BANG!] Jim Robson: God almighty! They're gonna crush that arm! [:47] Jim Robson: Travers is still holding that dragon sleeper! I think he'll hold Arcola there all night if he has to! Thompson picks up Kiljoy and tosses him right back out of the ring. Someone needs to watch out for Kiljoy. Make sure he's okay. Travers looks to Thompson and nods toward the cage. They both grab Arcola by the hair and throw him through the other side of the ring! He rolls right into the cage! Travers and Thompson climb out of the ring and pull him up. Travers hoists Arcola up on his shoulders and backs him up against the cage! Thompson climbs onto the apron with the chair! What the hell are they-- [BANG!!] [CHING!!] [POP!!!!] Jim Robson: JESUS GOD!! THOMPSON JUMPED OFF THE APRON AND SMASHED ARCOLA'S HEAD INTO THE CAGE WITH THE CHAIR!! [Travers staggers forward, trying not to drop him.] Jim Robson: Arcola's out of it! He's on Travers shoulders and he's out of it! Travers turns around with his back toward the ring as Thompson climbs back onto the apron! He stands on the second turnbuckle! He wraps his arm around Arcola's neck! ... ... x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x [THUD!!] Jim Robson: BULLDOG TO THE FLOOR!!! BULLDOG TO THE FLOOR!!! Jack Anderson: THAT WAS _SICK_!! [Thompson writhes, holding his tailbone as he rolls away from Arcola's lifeless body.] [:25] ============================================ EGOS & ICONS: New Era continues in part 8... ============================================ Jim Robson: Travers and Thompson are totally dominating right now. Kiljoy's trying his damndest, and Arcola just got smeared across the floor. Travers drops to one knee over Arcola's back and pulls back on his chin, laying into the side of his head with a series of rapid right hands! [Thompson paces the ringside area, walking off the pain in his ass.] Jim Robson: This is amazing! This is utterly unbelievable! Paul Kiljoy is walking through Ring 1! That kid is tough as nails! He spots Thompson outside the ring! KILJOY SPRINTS! [CHING!!] [UUUUUHHH!!] Jim Robson: HE DIVES THROUGH THE ROPES, TAKING THOMPSON INTO THE CAGE!! [Kiljoy rolls away grimacing, holding his right arm.] Jim Robson: HE'S PUTTING IT ON THE LINE! KILJOY'S GOING BALLS OUT TONIGHT! But Travers spots him! He abandons Arcola and makes his way toward the other train wreck. Oh! He stomps on Kiljoy's bicep! He picks him up across his shoulders. [THUD!] Jim Robson: FIREMAN'S CARRY ARMBREAKER!! RIGHT DOWN TO THE CONCRETE!! TRAVERS HOLDS ONTO THE ARM AND PULLS BACK! He puts his feet on the cage and pushes off for leverage! Listen to those screams coming out of that bloody face of Kiljoy! This is one of the most brutal showings I've ever witnessed! Now Thompson's up, and he's sliding into the ring. He's working one of the top turnbuckles over. He took off the padding, and he's unscrewing it! THOMPSON HAS THE CONNECTING FORK! He climbs out of the ring! [THWAP!] Jim Robson: HE SLAMS IT INTO KILJOY'S ARM! [THWAP!] Jim Robson: AGAIN! [THWAP!] Jim Robson: This is brutal! [Thompson drops the connecting fork.] Jack Anderson: Thompson's reaching under the ring. What's he got? A toolbox! Thompson pulled out a toolbox! Jim Robson: He's carrying it toward Arcola! Man, what's he got in mind? He sits it on the apron and opens it up. Thompson pulls out a wrench! He picks up Arcola and leans him against the cage! BIG SWING! ... ... ... ... ... [CHING!!] Jim Robson: HE BUSTS HIM OPEN! Arcola's head just got ROCKED into the cage! Thompson grabs him before he can fall and throws him into the ring! Arcola's flat on his back! Thompson climbs onto the apron and scales the turnbuckles! ... ... ... ... ... x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x [BOOM!!] Jim Robson: __DEATH FROM ABOVE__!!! HE NAILED IT!!! [:10] Jim Robson: With ten seconds left until either Billy Rock or Razor Ron Jeremy enters this cage! Outside, near Ring 2, Travers picks Kiljoy up over his shoulder and ... rams his right shoulder into the ring post! He dumps him on the ring apron. Travers pulls that arm down and reaches into the ring, pulling out the second chair Arcola threw in earlier. [BANG!!] Jim Robson: More damage to the arm! [:5] . . . [:4] . . . [:3] . . . [:2] . . . [:1] DING [2:00] [__HEEEEEYUGE__ POP!!!!] Jim Robson: HERE COMES RAZOR RON JEREMY!!! HE SLIDES BOOTIE INTO THE RING, THEN REACHES IN AND PULLS OUT WADE THOMPSON!! [CHING!!] Jim Robson: AND HE DRIVES HIM FACE FIRST INTO THE CAGE!! HE SPRINTS ALONGSIDE THE TWO RINGS! TRAVERS THROWS A PUNCH! IT'S BLOCKED! RRJ NAILS HIM! [CHING!!] Jim Robson: AND HE SLAMS TRAVERS INTO THE CAGE AS WELL! HE HOLDS HIM THERE, GRATING HIS FACE ALONG THAT COLD, UNFORGIVING STEEL! TRAVERS IS BLEEDING WORSE THAN BEFORE! RRJ TURNS HIM AROUND AND WHIPS HIM INTO THE APRON! [Travers hits with his ribs, spreads his arms, and falls to his knees.] Jim Robson: RRJ is living it up! He kicks Travers in the face! Travers falls backwards! Half of Travers body is lost under the ring apron now! Jack Anderson: Here comes Wade Thompson! [POP!!!!] Jim Robson: RRJ TURNS AND SPEARS HIM!! He lands throwing a flurry right hands! Grabbing Thompson by the ears! And headbutts him! Repeatedly! [RRJ pushes himself up and raises his arm in the air, banging his head rapidly as the crowd goes nuts!] Jim Robson: Razor Ron has turned this match completely around! He throws Thompson into Ring 2! Goes in after him. He brings Thompson toward the corner. He locks his arms behind his head from behind. Steps backward up the turnbuckles ... ... ... ... [BOOM!] Jim Robson: THE HEDGEHOG!! He drags Thompson to the center of the ring! He's signalling for the Bootie Call! [RRJ picks up Bootie and jogs to one side of the ring ... ... ... ... bounces off the other ... ... ... ... ... and then ... ] [BOOM!!] [FINISHER POP!!!!] Jim Robson: __BOOTIE CALL__!!! __BOOTIE CALL__!! [RRJ jumps up, and with a huge grin on his face turns Bootie upside down. He shakes it until a brick falls out.] Jack Anderson: A BRICK!? A FRIGGING _BRICK_!? Jim Robson: Cleverly disguised as Bootie! Hah hah! [1:38] Jim Robson: Here comes Travers to the aid of his tag team partner! He levels RRJ from behind with a clothesline! RRJ is sent into the ropes, but he comes right back toward Travers! Clothesline ducked! RRJ turns around, and face first into a right hand from Travers! RRJ returns the fire! He knees Travers in the gut! DOUBLE ARM DDT! He pulls Travers to a sitting position and squats down on his shoulders. He grabs Travers right leg and pulls up! It's a stump puller! RRJ has Travers in a stump puller! Jack Anderson: Travers can't be in this position with his ribs in the condition they are! Wake up Thompson! McMannis, you're the commissioner! Get in there! Jim Robson: Here comes Paul Kiljoy into ring one! He surveys the damage, now he dashes into the ropes. RRJ sees him coming. He jumps away just as Kiljoy dropkicks Travers in the head! They both pick him up and toss him over both sets of ropes, into Ring 2! Jack Anderson: Where all those props are! Jim Robson: That leaves Arcola and Thompson to recover in Ring 1, and neither one will be happy to see the other when they wake up! RRJ and Kiljoy pick up the ladder used earlier and place it back in the corner. Now they pull Travers to the center of the ring. Kiljoy's climbing the ladder! And RRJ is climbing the turnbuckle across the ring! [Kiljoy perches himself on the top of the ladder. He points to RRJ who points right back.] ... ... ... x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x [BOOM!!] Jim Robson: KILJOY WITH A FROG SPLASH FROM OUTER FRICKIN' SPACE!!! [As Kiljoy richochets away, RRJ leaps and tucks his legs into his arms.] [BOOM!!] Jim Robson: CANNONBALL!!! [RRJ landed with his knees tucked, and his back on Travers' chest.] Jim Robson: They've just flattened Travers! RRJ stands up and looks the cage over. He's trying to figure out how to exploit this thing. Jack Anderson: Throw the guy into it! How hard is that? Jim Robson: Kiljoy comes up next to him. He's really favoring that right arm. Jack Anderson: How are _any_ of this guys suppose to be of any value in the Independence Day Rumble in just three days? They're all gonna need medical attention. Jim Robson: Which means ANYONE could win the Rumble, and the world title! [1:03] Jim Robson: RRJ climbs out of the ring and heads toward a wall of the cage. He grabs Bootie and ... eeww ... he just chomped down on Bootie! He's got it in his mouth. [RRJ wipes his hands on his shirt, then starts climbing.] Jack Anderson: You've gotta be kidding me! He's actually trying to climb this thing!? Jim Robson: I'm not believing it myself, Jack! [RRJ is halfway up the wall and still climbing.] Jim Robson: What in the world is RRJ planning? What's he gonna do? Does he even know? [He reaches the top, then grabs the roof of the cage with both hands and turns himself around.] Jim Robson: HE'S CROSSING THE ROOF OF THE CAGE!! MY GOD, HE COULD FALL STRAIGHT DOWN THAT CONCR-- [GASP!!!] ... ... ... ... ... Jim Robson: DAMMIT! He lost his grip and almost fell to what would've surely been his demise! [He shakes his head, wondering to himself what he's doing up there, and continues swinging across the roof like monkey bars. Kiljoy looks up nervously. McMannis and Rock watch closely from the outside.] Jim Robson: He's in the center! He's looking right down on Eric Travers! [RRJ releases the cage with one hand. He takes Bootie out of his mouth and raises it.] Jim Robson: NO, RON!!! DON'T DO IT!! DON'T DO IT, DAMMIT!!! Jack Anderson: HE'S LOST WHAT LITTLE OF HIS MIND IS LEFT!! HE CAN'T REASON WITH LOGIC ANYMORE!! BUT THERE'S NO TURNING BACK!! HE'S UP THERE, AND HE'S GONNA DO IT!! Jim Robson: DEAR GOD HE LET GO!!!! x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... [BA-BOOOOOM!!!!!] Jim Robson: OH ... MY ... GOD!!!! TRAVERS MOVED!!! TRAVERS MOVED!!! [Kiljoy's jaw is nearly on the floor as he stares at RRJ, face down on the canvas, and still.] Jack Anderson: RRJ'S DEAD!!! THAT MORON FINALLY KILLED HIMSELF!!! Jim Robson: SHUT UP, JACK! JUST SHUT UP! [:49] Jim Robson: Look, he's breathing! He's definitely breathing! Dear merciful God what a fall! I can barely recover from seeing it! Just think how RRJ feels! Kiljoy, despite not caring for RRJ all that much, seems very concerned as he kneels at the fallen one's side. Jack Anderson: We have some action over in Ring 1, Robson. Both Arcola and Thompson have regained their senses, and they're going right toward each other! Jim Robson: Arcola rocks him with a stiff right! He waistlocks him. Overhead belly to back suplex! Thompson skips across the mat like a rock across water! He's up as quickly as possible though. Arcola dashes right toward him! CLOTHESLINE OVER THE TOP! Arcola climbs out and does some more snooping under the ring apron. Let's see what he finds. Jack Anderson: Maybe some genius placed a blowtorch under there along with the rest of our "equipment", huh? Jim Robson: He's definitely pulling something out. Looks to be a long, thick rope with a ... oh dear, is that a hook? Yes it is! There's a thick metal hook on the end of it! [Arcola wraps the end with the hook around Thompson's legs and and hooks it up. He then places the other end through a link in the cage, strings it through another, and begins pulling with everything he's got. Thompson's body begins to move.] Jim Robson: ARCOLA'S GONNA HANG THOMPSON UPSIDE DOWN ON THE CAGE! [The crowd gets very behind him as Thompson's legs begin to slither up the steel.] Jim Robson: He's doing it! He's really doing it! [Justin backs up and ties the other end around a ring post. Thompson's body is now completly hung upside down. His head about six feet off the floor.] Jim Robson: HE'S COMPLETELY UPSIDE DOWN! ALL THAT BLOOD RUSHING TO HIS HEAD! Arcola slaps him in the head a few times, adding some insult to ... well, insult! He swings Thompson forward and stands behind him. What is he ... IT'S AN UPSIDE DOWN KATIHAJIME!!! THAT'S SO COOL!! Jack Anderson: _COOL_!? Jim Robson: I happen to think so, yes! Arcola's choking out Thompson while the blood rushes to his head! And I don't expect him to let go of that anytime soon! [:26] Jim Robson: Over in Ring 2, Kiljoy is taking it to Travers! RRJ is still trying to shake off the cobwebs from that crash landing! Kiljoy's teaching Travers a thing or two with some stiff, martial arts style kicks in the corner! Kiljoy pauses to the grab the ladder and lay it across the canvas. He goes back to Travers and sits him on the top turnbuckle. Kiljoy stands on the second one. [CLANG!!] [FINISHER POP!!!!] Jim Robson: __THE BIRTHRIGHT__!!!! ONTO THE LADDER!!! [Kiljoy holds the back of his head and rolls from left to right. Travers is hopeless.] Jim Robson: Animals! It's like a fenced in pack of dogs fighting for the last steak! There's blood everywhere! Kiljoy's practically inside out! There's a web of it spun across Travers face! Arcola's got a steady stream running down the center of his! RRJ's heading for the ladder, and thank God he's walking around. He could've been crippled! He lays the ladder across Travers body and drags him very close to one of the corners. Ron climbs out onto the apron and goes to the top rope! Jack Anderson: He should be TERRIFIED of heights by this point! Jim Robson: What is he ... gonna ... ... ... ... x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x Jack Anderson: WHAT THE _HELL_!?!?! Jim Robson: JACK!! ... ... ... OH - MY - GOD!!!!! OH - MY - GOD!!!!! Jim Robson: SHOOTING RON PRESS!!!! SHOOTING RON PRESS!!! MY GOD, DID HE REALLY DO THAT!?!?! [Damn right. That forty year old, fat bastard with arthritis must've been rummaging through Kiljoy's Ass of Tricks, cause he just hit a shooting freakin' star press. Okay. I made the arthritis stuff up.] Jack Anderson: I hope everyone got that on camera! I hope the world saw that, because it'll NEVER happen again! Jim Robson: You're probably right, but ... holy crap! I'm speechless! [:12] Jim Robson: This has been AMAZING! Kiljoy and RRJ have teamed up to completely destroy Eric Travers! Jack Anderson: But they're destroying themselves in the process! When it's two on one you don't need to be taking risks like that! You've already got the upper hand! Jim Robson: Maybe so, Jack. Maybe so. Near Ring 1, Arcola's still got Thompson dangling from the wall of the cage, holding onto that Katihajime! That's another one of the damndest things I've ever seen. Hey, it's almost time for another entrant! And we know it's gonna be! [:5] . . . [:4] . . . [:3] . . . [:2] . . . McMannis heads straight for RRJ! He's not gonna let him recover from that magnificent shooting star press! He grabs two chunks of his hair from behind! [CLANG!] Jim Robson: AND SLAMS HIM BACK DOWN INTO THE LADDER! Jack Anderson: He probably should've waited until Travers was out from under it. Jim Robson: Do you think he cares? Do you really think McMannis cares what condition his partners are in with the world title on the line in three days? Jack Anderson: He's a very compassionate individual. Jim Robson: Don't crap in my mouth and tell me I'm Liam Rogan, Jack. Jack Anderson: Hah! Jim Robson: What's McMannis doing? He's pointing eagerly at Billy Rock on the outside, but staring toward the aisle! [Suddenly, Billy sneers and begins looking all around him, apparently realizing something before the rest of us do.] Jim Robson: What the hell is he doing? [BOOOOOOOOOO!!!!] Jim Robson: AW HELL! DAMN HIM! DAMN NATE McMANNIS! [Intent To Injure come storming down the aisle.] Jim Robson: CRAZY BRAVE AND JUSTIN ABEL ARE HEADING STRAIGHT FOR BILLY ROCK! AND HE'S CUFFED TO THE CAGE! THAT ... [BANG!!] [BANG!!] [BANG!!] [BANG!!] Jim Robson: FIVE SHOTS TO THE SKULL! FIVE _HEARTLESS_ SHOTS TO THE SKULL! [Billy dangles limply from the wall of the cage. His butt doesn't even touch the ground.] Jim Robson: Don't take that! Hey! Dammit, Justin Abel just took a moniter from our table! [KSSSHHH!!] [GASP!!] Jim Robson: HE BUSTED IT OVER ROCK'S HEAD!!! GOD!! MY GOD!! [Billy's completely battered. A pool of blood forms on his forehead, then begins to trickle down his face. Smoke rises from the broken moniter and circles Rock's head. Justin Abel holds a chair in Rock's face.] [BANG!!!] Jim Robson: CRAZY BRAVE ROUNDHOUSED THE CHAIR INTO ROCK'S HEAD!! HELP! DAMMIT, SOMEONE HELP! [McMannis has climbed out of the ring, now standing next to Billy on the other side of the cage, shouting at him. Travers, Kiljoy, and RRJ stir softly in Ring 2. Arcola is suddenly gone. Thompson simply hangs upside down, unconscious.] Jim Robson: SOMEONE! ANYONE AT ALL! ... ... ... [SAVIOR POP!!!!!!] Jim Robson: LO AND BEHOLD!! HERE COMES THE BRAND NEW INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPION, __MAVERICK__!!! [Maverick sprints down the aisle full speed. He almost trips as he rounds the cage and heads for Intent To Injure.] Jim Robson: HE SPINS CRAZY BRAVE ROUND! _HUGE_ CLOTHESLINE! THAT GOT HIS ATTENTION! HE BLOCKS A SHOT FROM ABEL! [Maverick clamps his hand around Justin Abel's neck, then hoists him up.] Jim Robson: _CHOKESLAM_!!! HELL YEAH!! HELL YEAH!! [Maverick kicks the cage where McMannis stares, infuriated. McMannis jumps back and bumps into something. Slowly ... carefully ... McMannis turns around.] Jim Robson: McMANNIS ... IS FACE TO FACE ... WITH _JUSTIN ARCOLA_!! [Justin palms Nate by the face. All we can see are the half dollar sizes eyes between Justin's fingers.] [CHING!!] [CHING!!] [CHING!!] Jim Robson: HE SLAMS THE BACK OF NATE'S HEAD INTO THAT CAGE OVER AND OVER! And now he tosses him into Ring 2! Outside the cage, Maverick is screaming at the officials to uncuff Billy Rock! Damn straight! Damn straight! [Charles Gibson pulls out his key quickly and unlocks the bracelets allowing Billy to fall to the ground.] Jim Robson: Finally! [1:29] Jim Robson: McMannis is alone in Ring 2 with three very angry men! He's surrounded by RRJ, Kiljoy, and Arcola! Eric Travers is trying to get Wade Thompson down! There's no way out! There's no escape! McMANNIS MAKES A RUN FOR IT! [POP!!] Jim Robson: BUT ARCOLA CATCHES HIM! He jerks him back into the ring and whips him toward RRJ! WHO'S GOT A CHAIR!! [BANG!!] Jim Robson: DOWN GOES McMANNIS!! DOWN GOES McMANNIS!! [The rope is untied from around the ring post. Thompson is lying on the floor as Travers tries to untie the rope around his feet.] Jim Robson: Kiljoy picks him up! He flips McMannis over his back! [BOOM!!] Jim Robson: CRUCIFIX POWERBOMB DDT!!! THAT WAS AMAZING!! WAIT A MINUTE! WAIT A MINUTE! TRAVERS AND THOMPSON HAVE STORMED THE RING! WE'VE GOT A BRAWL! WE'VE GOT A BRAWL! [Travers spears Arcola into a corner and the two trade blows. Thompson and RRJ brawl to the ropes and fall through to the floor. Kiljoy goes to the top rope and measures up McMannis.] Jim Robson: STAY WITH KILJOY! STAY WITH KILJOY! HE'S GONNA PUT McMANNIS THROUGH THE RING! ... ... ... [BOOM!!] Jack Anderson: He's gonna WHAT now? Jim Robson: McMannis MOVED! Kiljoy missed a HUGE diving elbow smash! Thompson has RRJ against the cage, driving knees into his stomach! Travers grabs Arcola by the hair and tosses him through the ropes! Wait. What's going on outside the cage here? Maverick is arguing with Hernandez about something. Is he ... What's going on here? [Charles Gibson's voice is muffled, but heard over Robson's headset.] Jim Robson: You're joking! ... Ladies and gentlemen, Maverick is lobbying to take Billy Rock's place! Jack Anderson: _NO_ ... _WAY_! Jim Robson: I really don't think it's possible, but he's giving Hernandez a very hard time about it! He doesn't think Billy's in any condition to go in there, and frankly neither do I! He hasn't moved since Maverick got out here! [Hernandez adamently shakes his head "no" to Maverick, which increasingly frustrates him.] Jim Robson: I think Maverick's given up. [:51] Jim Robson: He's going back to tend to Billy Rock. [Maverick kneels next to the champion, cheering him on and trying to inspire him to stand. It's working ... a little.] Jim Robson: I don't believe it! I don't believe it one bit! Billy Rock is pushing himself up! He's getting up with inspiration from Maverick, the very man he presented with the intercontinental championship earlier tonight! Inside the ring, McMannis has opened out a chair and laid Kiljoy across the seat. He's climbing to the top rope! ... ... ... [BOOM!] [CLANG!] Jim Robson: GUILLOTINE LEGDROP OFF THE CHAIR!! KILJOY FLIPPED COMPLETELY OVER! [McMannis grimaces and stands. He folds up the chair.] [BANG!!] Jim Robson: He angrily throws the chair down on Kiljoy arm! He pulls Kiljoy close to the ropes and then climbs out to the floor. What the ... aw no! Now McMANNIS is climbing the cage! Did he learn NOTHING from RRJ? Jack Anderson: McMannis is neither out of shape nor over the hill! Jim Robson: He's halfway up the cage! Up a little further ... and now he looks over his shoulder. Yeah, he's gonna keep going! He looks like a spider up there! HE'S GOING ACROSS THE ROOF! HE'S ON ALL FOURS ON THE ROOF OF THE CAGE, LOOKING DOWN ON THE RING! [He slowly walks his feet to a tucked position into his chest. He carefully watches Kiljoy, making sure of no movement.] Jim Robson: This has gone completely INSANE! Everyone in that cage has gone crazy! ... ... ... ... ... Jack Anderson: I'm seeing it too, Robson! It must be a mass halucination! Jim Robson: My GOD this is INSANE! And we've only got fifteen seconds until Billy Rock runs, walks, or crawls into this cage! And believe me, one way or another, he's gonna get in here! [:13] [In fact, on the outside, Maverick is helping Billy to his feet. He pulls Billy's arm around his neck and helps him along.] Jim Robson: Ladies and gentlemen, those are two true champions! Those two men walking by our broadcast table! Billy Rock and Maver-- [BOOM!!] [CRRRRRACK!!!!] [CLANG!!!!] [THUD!!!!] ... ... ... ... ... Jim Robson: WHAT IN GOD'S NAME!?!?! Lying in it is Billy Rock, with Maverick kneeling over him gnashing his teeth behind a sick smile. Robson is genuinely irate.] Jim Robson: WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO THAT FOR!?! MY GOD, MAVERICK!!! WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU!?! WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU!?! YOU JUST GROUND ZERO'D BILLY ROCK THROUGH OUR TABLE, YOU MANIAC!!! YOU SON OF A _BITCH_!! [Maverick creeps up to his feet and approaches Robson. The announcer jumps out of his chair and backs away. Maverick grabs the chair and folds it. He turns back to Billy and looks down.] Jim Robson: ARE YOU NUTS!? HAVE YOU LOST YOUR MIND!? WHAT THE-- [BANG!!!] Jack Anderson: OHMYGOD! [Jim Robson lays in a heap of flesh and tuxedo on the ground. Maverick throws the chair down on him and looks at Anderson.] Jack Anderson: Hey buddy! [Maverick stalks toward the ring as he's pelted with trash. He nails Hernandez upside the head with a wicked forearm, knocking him clear across the floor, and opens the door.] Jack Anderson: I guess ... man, I'm sorry, Robson ... I guess I have to call this thing now. And I always wanted Billy Rock at my feet, but this isn't quite what I had in mind. Ah geez. Uh ... well Maverick just entered the cage. Hey! I just figured something out! DEAR LORD, THIS IS BRILLIANT! [Maverick walks between the ring and the cage, grabbing that toolbox off the apron along the way. He rounds the ring post of Ring 2, and now RRJ and Wade Thompson are in his line of vision.] Jack Anderson: It was NEVER Kiljoy! It was never ANYONE on that team! My God, McMannis is a genius! IT'S MAVERICK! MAVERICK IS THE MYSTERY PARTNER OF THE TRIFECTA! HAH HAH! MARVELOUS! Maverick comes up behind RRJ ... he taps him on the shoulder, folks, and I don't think RRJ saw any of what just happened. I dont' think he sees coming now either. [RRJ turns around and grins to Maverick at first, then almost immediately gets a strange look on his face.] [BANG!!] [CHING! CHANG! KLING!] Jack Anderson: MAVERICK SLAMMED THE TOOLBOX IN HIS FACE! NOW _THAT'S_ COOL! [RRJ lies on his back, tools scattered on and around his body.] Jack Anderson: Whoa! Hey! Get off me! [We now see Billy Rock on his stomach, holding a pant leg of Anderson's, trembling and bleeding as he tries couragously to stand.] Jack Anderson: I'm trying to call a match! Hey! Hey! [Billy's on his knees now.] Jack Anderson: Oof! [He shoves Anderson against the railing behind him and looks slowly over his shoulder, into the cage.] Jack Anderson: Maverick! Come back! He's getting up! Ah hell, I'll just call this thing. Maverick picks up RRJ and ... [CHING!] Jack Anderson: ... slams him face first into the cage! Seen a bunch of that tonight. Oh wow, RRJ's cracked open. Maverick completely busted him up! [The crowd is hot. Strongly against every move Maverick makes. Every breath he takes.] ============================================ EGOS & ICONS: New Era continues in part 9... ============================================ Jack Anderson: Billy's crawling toward the cage door now. Somebody might wanna do something about that. Maverick rolls RRJ into Ring 2. Thompson heads over to Travers and Arcola, where Travers is just stomping the heavens out of Arcola against the cage. I'm sure Thompson wants some revenge for being hung upside down like a slab in a meat locker. [Maverick hoists RRJ across his shoulders. He then growls and makes a move.] Jack Anderson: Fireman's carry DDT! I think. Man he laid RRJ OUT! McMannis has pulled Kiljoy into Ring 1. He's choking him with his foot in the corner there. Man, I'm just not as good at this as Robson. Get up, Robson! Say something! Lazy schmuck. [Billy Rock is reaching up for the cage door from his stomach. The fans nearby him are cheering him on rabidly.] Jack Anderson: Man, Maverick isn't letting up on RRJ. He hooks his arms behind his back and jerks him up. [GASP!] Jack Anderson: DAYUMN! He jerked RRJ into the air and dropped him face first on one of his knees! I'll be surprised if a few bones aren't broken from that. [Maverick jumps up and leans over the top rope, toward the crowd, talking trash. He gets the appropriate reaction.] Jack Anderson: Billy Rock's opening that door! He's crawling through the door! [__HEEEEEYUGE__ MUDDAFUGGIN' POP!!!!!!!] Jack Anderson: AW, DAMMIT! He's in! [Billy stumbles inside, slamming the door behind him, but it's not locked. He takes a groggy look around and notices Maverick in Ring 2. McMannis in Ring 1. Maverick stops and notices Billy leaning against the cage wall. He grins and waves him on.] Jack Anderson: Look at that! Maverick's inviting him in! That's polite. [Billy breathes heavily, his lips curl, and he pushes off the wall.] Jack Anderson: Holy crap! Billy's rushing the ring! He slides in through the bottom rope! Maverick pounds him across the back, but Billy shakes it off! [The fans add some bass to each shot.] Jack Anderson: He's exploding on Maverick! Billy Rock's letting it all out! [He rocks Maverick with a fast, violent right hand that sends him staggering. He gives him another one that knocks him back even further. He then runs back into the ropes for momentum ... ] Jack Anderson: BIONIC ELBOW! Maverick falls to one knee! Billy climbs to the second rope! He comes off with another bionic elbow! [UUUHH!!] Jack Anderson: Low blow! [Billy grabs his crotch and doubles over.] Jack Anderson: Maverick uppercuts him from his knee! [Billy staggers backwards, lands in the ropes, and is thrown back to Maverick.] [BOOM!] Jack Anderson: ROCK BOTTOM! [Maverick picks Billy up and tosses him into Ring 1, completely clearing both sets of ropes. He lands just in front of McMannis. Nate looks at Maverick and grins, asking if this is for him. Maverick sneers and brushes it off like he's finished with Billy.] Jack Anderson: Man, this is great! The Trifecta is in total control! McMannis drops onto Billy's chest and cracks him upside the head with a chain of rights! Check this out. Maverick, in Ring 2, picks up RRJ and sits him on the ropes. He climbs to the second turnbuckle and waistlocks him. [BOOM!!] Jack Anderson: GROUND ZERO!! [Maverick jumps up and asks the crowd who wants some.] Jack Anderson: Outside the ring now. Thompson lifts Arcola into a piledriver position. Travers is holding his ankles on the apron. Spike Piledriver! Served right up! [Referee Geoff Cartwright races down the aisle.] Jack Anderson: Looks like Cartwright's here to assume Hernandez's duties. I feel you, Cartwright! Maverick notices and rolls RRJ onto his stomach. He squats over his back and locks in a camel clutch! This is gonna be it! RRJ's gonna submit! [RRJ is very much conscious, but he's in severe pain. Physical and emotional. He reaches for the ropes. Not as if it'd help, but we know he's not quitting.] Jack Anderson: He's got him right there in the center of the ring! There's nowhere for RRJ to go! And McMannis just threw Billy Rock out of Ring 1! Kiljoy is just bushed, man. He's completely limp in that corner and hasn't moved for quite some time. Thompson and Travers have that rope Arcola used earlier, and they're tying it around Arcola's feet! That's right boys! Tit for tat! We'll get back to them. McMannis pulls Billy Rock up. [CHING!] Jack Anderson: And sends him right into the cage wall! [Billy staggers back, hits the apron, and collapses.] Jack Anderson: That takes care of that. Thompson and Travers have Arcola completely upside on the other side of the ring! They've strung him up just like he did to Thompson! [Travers reaches under the bottom the rope and pulls the ladder toward them. We also notice Maverick still holding that camel clutch, pounding RRJ in the chest every now and then.] Jack Anderson: Travers grabs one side of that ladder. Thompson grabs the other. [CLANG!!] Jack Anderson: And they slam it into Arcola, who's just hanging there! [CLANG!!] Jack Anderson: Right into his head that time! [CLANG!!] Jack Anderson: Dayumn! [CLANG!!] [POP!!] Jack Anderson: Hey! They missed! Arcola just fell! How did that ... [Thompson and Travers turn around, both still holding the ladder ... ] Jack Anderson: Aw crap. [ ... and see Paul Kiljoy standing on the top turnbuckle, dropping a loose rope .] Jack Anderson: KILJOY JUMPS OFF!! [CLANG-ANG-ANG!!] [CHING!] [CHING!] Jack Anderson: HE BODY BLOCKED THE LADDER INTO BOTH OF 'EM, SENDING THEM INTO THE CAGE! Impressive! I'll admit it. McMannis is really taking it to Billy Rock across the cage now. [BONG!] Jack Anderson: He pounds his head into another set of steps! Now he turns him toward the cage wall and grinds his face back and forth! Man, this is a little drop of heaven. He lets him go and jumps onto the ring apron. Billy hasn't fallen, but he's pretty much out on his feet. He rotates. McMannis takes flight! ... ... ... Jack Anderson: HURRICANRANA!! [POP!!!] Jack Anderson: NO! NO! BILLY'S KEEPING HIM FROM FLIPPING BACKWARDS! [Billy turns, walks toward the cage door, and ... ] [CLANG!!!] [THUD!!] [POP!!!] Jack Anderson: HE POWERBOMBED McMANNIS THROUGH THE DOOR AND TO THE FLOOR OUTSIDE THE CAGE!! [Not _through_ it, actually. McMannis just hit the door, and it flew open.] Jack Anderson: Billy hits his knees, but he immediately crawls toward McMannis! Both of them are out of the cage! Billy kicks the door shut behind him! Even I'll hand it to him, here. For the punishment he's taken, he's definitely coming on strong. He grabs McMannis by the hair and pulls him up with him. Bionic elbow! [McMannis wants to fall backwards, but Billy yanks him back.] Jack Anderson: Another one! [Same deal.] Jack Anderson: Again! [Repeat.] Jack Anderson: Will it ever stop!? Oh, great. He presses McMannis over his head! [CHING!!] Jack Anderson: AND HURLS HIM HEAD FIRST INTO THE CAGE! [Billy stumbles backward against the barricade. Several fans rush up to pat him on the shoulders and encourage him.] Jack Anderson: Rock drops to his knees, grabs McMannis by the head, and now he's slamming him face first into the concrete! There's blood being smeared all over the floor there! [Inside the cage, Kiljoy sits on one end of the ladder, which on Thomson's chest, and pounds him in the head. An exhausted Arcola is choking Travers on the floor with his studded belt. Maverick is standing over RRJ. He looks over his shoulder and notices the action outside the cage.] Jack Anderson: Good news! I think Maverick's heading for the outside! [Indeed he is.] Jack Anderson: Maverick's going for the door! [CHING!!] [POP!!] Jack Anderson: ROCK KICKS IT IN HIS FACE! Maverick falls down to one knee! Man he is HUGE! Billy opens the door! [CHING!!] Jack Anderson: And he slams it right back into Maverick! Putting him on his back! [Rock turns to McMannis, but finds him climbing the cage!] Jack Anderson: Go, Nate! Head for the hills! [He's too high already for Billy to grab, so he begins climbing after him.] Jack Anderson: And here we go! It's a race to the top! [BOOOOOOOOOO!!!!] Jack Anderson: MAVERICK'S UP! HE'S OUT! AND HE'S GOT A HOLD OF BILLY ROCK'S BOOT! [Rock kicks down at him, but Maverick dodges, putting even more of a gap between Rock and McMannis. Maverick takes a step back, then takes a BIG step back and jerks Billy off the wall!] [GASP!!] [THUD!!] Jack Anderson: SWEET MOSES!! HE YANKED ROCK OFF THE WALL, AND HE LANDED FACE DOWN ON THE CONCRETE!! MAVERICK PICKS HIM UP BY THE HAIR AND TIGHTS!! [CHING!!] Jack Anderson: HE HURLS HIM HEAD FIRST INTO THE CAGE!! [McMannis swings his leg from the wall to the roof.] Jack Anderson: McMannis is on top of the cage! Maverick picks up Rock and shoves him back against the cage! He drills him in the head with a hard right hand! BUT ROCK FIRES BACK! Maverick answers! ROCK TACKLES HIM INTO THE AISLE! Maverick's pounding on his back as Rock bites him on the forehead! He's drawing blood! He's drawing blood from Maverick with his teeth! Billy rolls off and gets to his feet! Maverick is neck and neck with him! [UUUUUHHH!!!] Jack Anderson: BILLY KICKS HIM BETWEEN THE LEGS!! [Maverick falls to his knees.] Jack Anderson: Billy's heading for the cage now! He grabs the steel, and he's climbing! He's going after McMannis, who's standing at the edge of the cage watching Billy climb! He can't believe his eyes, and neither can I! [Billy's halfway up. McMannis takes a deep breath, then swallows hard.] Jack Anderson: I do _not_ like that look in McMannis's eyes! [GASP!!!!!] ... ... ... ... ... x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x [CHING!!] ... ... ... [_THUD_!!] [Fans] YOU - SICK - F*CK!!!!! YOU - SICK - F*CK!!!!! YOU - SICK - F*CK!!!!! YOU - SICK - F*CK!!!!! Wait ... how did McMannis get down there?] Jack Anderson: REPLAY! SHOW IT! [After McMannis gulped, he stepped off the cage and dropped straight down alongside the wall. On his way to the floor, he wrapped his arms around Rock's neck and tore him away, bringing him down with him. Ta-Da!] Jack Anderson: HE _IS_ SUICIDAL! NATE McMANNIS HAS A DEATHWISH! [McMannis pulls himself up the cage and slowly walks toward the door.] Jack Anderson: RRJ back body drops Maverick to the concrete! McMannis is just pouring himself back into the cage! Arcola and Kiljoy are dueling with Thompson and Travers in Ring 2! McMannis picks up Rock. He rolls him into Ring 1. He climbs in and picks Rock up. He's moving real slow, but that's 260 pounds of dead weight. He places Rock's head on his shoulder, and it looks like he's going for the Head Trauma! Maverick grabs a layer of stairs and hurls them into Ring 1! He picks up the other half and tosses them in too! He climbs out of Ring 2, and he's picking up the ladder! [Maverick pulls it around to Ring 1, then slides it in under the bottom rope. He lifts the skirt of the apron and pulls out a table, sliding it in as well.] Jack Anderson: Holy crap, what's he building here? He sets up the ladder in a corner. And now he places those stairs a few feet apart. Maverick picks up the table and bridges the stairs with it. He grabs Billy Rock and throws him over his shoulder.
