Below it is written: Sunday July 1st, 2001 Corel Centre Ottawa, Ontario, Canada LIVE! The screen then shows over twenty thousand rapid fans inside the Corel Centre in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. They are screaming their lungs out, waving posters, signs, flags and everything they possibly could - all in an attempt to get on television, and get noticed.] [After several moments of panning over the arena, _loud_ fireworks above the ring begin to go off, followed by fire bursting out of the ring turnbuckles. The fans let out an even bigger pop, because they know that EGOS & ICONS is about to get underway. After a few more moments panning the arena, the regular voice of IWF/WOW play-by-play man Jim Robson is heard...] Jim Robson: WELCOME EVERYONE... WELCOME TO THE GREATEST COUNTRY IN THE WORLD... WELCOME TO A HISTORY MAKING EVENT... WELCOME TO EGOS & ICONS!!! [The camera continues to move around the arena. We see several signs, including "YASHIN SUCKS!", "TRAVERS FOR PRESIDENT", "HAPPY BIRTHDAY CANBADA", and even a sign asking for a million dollars. Eventually, the camera moves to Francine who is standing beside the ring with a microphone...] FRANCINE: Ladies and gentlemen... please rise and welcome here to sing our national anthem... The lead singer of The Tragically Hip... [The fans let out a huge pop!] GORD DOWNIE!!!! [And the pop just grows as Gord Downie, the lead singer of one of the greatest bands in Canadian history, enters in the ring and picks up the microphone that was left in the centre of the ring, and begins...] # O Canada! # # Our home and native land! # # True patriot love in all thy sons command. # # With glowing hearts we see thee rise, # # The True North strong and free! # # From far and wide, # # O Canada, we stand on guard for thee. # # God keep our land glorious and free! # # O Canada, we stand on guard for thee. # [Everyone in the Corel Centre begins singing along] # O Canada, we stand on guard for thee # [As Downie finishes up, everyone in the Corel Centre goes wild, popping like crazy for him. Gord Downie takes a bow in the ring, and leaves as the fans begin to slowly quiet down, and the camera pans over to Jim Robson and Jack Anderson who are sitting at the announce table at ringside.] Jim Robson: Oh my god! What a performance that was. Thank you to Gord Downie of the Tragically Hip for providing the national anthem, and that was just an amazing way to start what is sure to be an amazing show. Jack Anderson: Without a doubt, this will be one for the record books, and it's only day one - but either way, the action is sure to be fast and furious, and you won't want to miss a moment of it. Jim Robson: Well tonight we've got a doulbe main event. In our first one, the IWF/WOW World Heavyweight Champion, "Epic" Eric Travers will defend his title against "the Headliner" Shane St. Clair. Jack Anderson: This is sure to be an epic battle, and I know Travers will be out for revenge after what St. Clair has done to him over the past few weeks... I mean, attacking poor Tricia Lane? You know, I hear she won't be here tonight because of those attacks. Jim Robson: The attacks have been brutal by St. Clair, but ever since St. Clair won the Stairway to Hell match at End of the World 5, he did say he was going to get Travers. He's done it mostly emotionally up until now, and tonight is his chance to do it physically. Jack Anderson: It's going to be a battle for all battles - it's going to be a real war inside the steel cage!! Jim Robson: Speaking of wars, we should expect no different in our second main event of the night, as Justin Arcola will defend his Intercontinental Title against "Serial Thriller" Billy Rock in a towel match. Jack Anderson: This is a rematch from their End of the World thriller where Arcola won the title from Rock, and tonight should be no different. We already know that "Suicidal" Nate McMannis will be Billy Rock's corner man, but who will be Arcola's? Jim Robson: I really don't know. Rumors have been running around for weeks now as to whom it could be. Everyone from Carl Lumski or Damian Malcolm to IWF/WOW co-President Jurkschat himself. Jack Anderson: This could be interesting. Jim Robson: Another interesting match tonight will see Razor Ron Jeremy and Robert d'Artois meet up in a street fight in their Ultimate Wrestling Challenge match. Jack Anderson: A few weeks ago these two met in the ring and it went to a time limit draw - but it won't this time as there will be a winner. Jim Robson: Plus, in a match where the winners earn a World Tag Team Title shot on day two, the Ewiak Brothers will take on the Boston Bad Boys. Jack Anderson: This should be good... everyone wants a shot at the World Tag Team Champions as they are the hottest thing going today, but they have to win their match here tonight to get the chance. Jim Robson: That they do. Also coming up tonight we've got the North American title on the line in a Gavel on a Pole match, and this should be an interesting match. Jack Anderson: Well, Commissioner McMannis is an idiot for signing this match. I mean, the rules are horrible... a gavel on a pole? Give me a break. Jim Robson: It will be interesting though, as the Idol and McMannis have been involved in a bitter feud since the day the Idol returned to the IWF/WOW, and this will give both a chance to take out all their frustrations out on each other. Jack Anderson: Will it ever!! Jim Robson: EGOS & ICONS is sure to provide us with two days of amazing action, and we're only getting started!! Jack Anderson: This is going to be an amazing night... Jim Robson: Right now we're being told something is going on backstage... lets see what's going on. [Co-President Jurkschat is seen walking around backstage and the fans give a pop for him. Suddenly, Razor Ron Jeremy frantically runs over to him. The fans pop when he comes by.] Razor Ron Jeremy: Wait!! WAIT!! Mr. Co-President!! co-President Jurkschat: Woah, Razor Ron Jeremy. What's going on? RRJ: Listen, I don't mean to get huffy, but it concerns the whole street fight thing tonight against Bobby Darty... [The fans pop for the street fight that they paid so much money to see.] co-President Jurkschat: RRJ, calm down. There's nothing to worry about. I'm here to help you out like I've done in the past. I knew street fights are right up your alley, and I think after you pulverize Robert d'Artois tonight, maybe he'll bite his tongue the next time he criticizes the way I run my wrestling federation. Plus there are probably countless ways that you can use Bootie to your advantage tonight, and I've banned Alexander Dubois and Lugen Karn... RRJ: That's the thing I wanted to talk to you about.... [He braces himself for what he is about to ask.] RRJ: Mr. Resident, I want you to allow them to be there during the street fight. [The crowd gasps, as well as the co-President. He stutters a bit before he responds.] co-President: Razor Ron Jeremy, I know that you're nuts...but I just cannot help asking - Are you nuts?! This is a STREET FIGHT! If I allow them at ringside, they'll just interfere as usual, but this time it will be legal! No disqualifications, no count-outs, falls count anywhere...don't you understand? And they're bigger than your opponent!! The match will just be 3 on 1, and with possible weapons involved, you're gonna get yourself killed tonight!! RRJ: This whole damn Ultimate Wrestling Challenge has been 3 on 1 for me. Look, I appreciate that you're trying to protect my health in this match and everything, but I don't need it. And dammit, I finish everything I start. This began with d'Artwatch and his goons -- and tonight, I decide that it ends with them. I'm not gonna run from them just because someone else tells me that I have to; I'm no coward. I understand what I'll be going up against if they'll be there, but dammit this is the Ultimate Wrestling Challenge!! And no doubt this will be a challenge for Razor Ron Jeremy, but I want you to put them back in there because I can promise you that they will get what's coming to them. co-President Jurkschat: Well, Razor Ron Jeremy, if you insist...Lugen Karnovasch and Alexander Dubois are no longer banned from ringside. Hope you're satisfied. RRJ: Thanks Mr. Cop Resident. You're the best!! YAA-HOO!!! [RRJ runs off with glee. Co-President Jurkschat turns to look at him.] co-President Jurkschat: I guess it's not an act. He really _is_ crazy. [the scene fades back to ringside.] Jim Robson: What? Jack Anderson: WOW! RRJ really is an idiot - letting d'Artois' bodyguards back at ringside? That isn't a smart move on his part... Jim Robson: Hate to say it, but I agree. This could be a costly move for RRJ. Jack Anderson: Could be? It is... =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- IWF/WOW EGOS & ICONS 2001 CONTINUES... Jim Robson: Well folks, coming up in just a minute, we've got what should be an interesting encounter to say the least. The somewhat abberent personality of the Idol taking on the cold-hearted North American Champion Nate McMannis. Jack Anderson: And as you can see right now, the ring crew is attaching a 10-foot pole to one of the turnbuckles. From that pole, the Commissioner's "gavel", which is really just a walking cane, will be hung and the first person who gets it can use it on his opponent. Jim Robson: It's the Gavel on a Pole Match. Take it away, Francine. _____ ___ ___ | ____( _ ) |_ _|-=-=-=-=-=-=-= IWF/WOW EGOS & ICONS 2001 -=-=-=-=-=-=-= | _| / _ \/\| | IWF/WOW NORTH AMERICAN TITLE MATCH | |__| (_> <| | Nate McMannis vs the Idol |_____\___/\/___|=-=-=-=-=-=-=- IWF/WOW EGOS & ICONS 2001 =-=-=-=-=-=-=- --------------------------> WRITER: Matt Weeks <------------------------ FRANCINE: The following contest, scheduled for one fall, is a Gavel on a Pole Match for the IWF/WOW North American Championship! Introducing first, the challenger... PA: WHO'S YOUR IDOL?!? [As "Let's Face it" by Mighty Mighty Bosstones continues to play, former IWF/WOW World Heavyweight Champion, the Idol, walks out. He's wearing black ring trunks, and has a serious look on his face. As he walks to the ring, the fans in the arena boo him loudly.] FRANCINE: From Charlotte, North Carolina, standing 6 feet, 1 inch tall and weighing in at 235 pounds... THE IDOL!!! [Idol walks down to the ring all-business. He hops up to the apron, casts a glance back at the entranceway, and then walks over to the opposite corner with the pole.] Jim Robson: Idol is going to go for the gavel right away, before McMannis is introduced! # Baby, I'm a survivor! # # Baby, I'm on fire! # # Baby I'm 'bout to creep up inside ya'! # [Idol begins to casually climb the turnbuckle when suddenly...the crowd comes alive as a blur of Nate McMannis streaks down the aisle. McMannis covers the 20 yards from the entranceway to the ring in approximately 2 seconds flat. He dives under the bottom rope and the momentum takes him halfway across the ring. McMannis yanks Idol off the turnbuckle and drills him with a right hand. The referee calls for the bell.] *** DING DING DING *** Jim Robson: The fight is on! McMannis and Idol slugging it out here. McMannis gets te better of the exchange and sets Idol up...Irish whip into the ropes...McMANNIS WITH A FLIPPING LARIAT! Jack Anderson: The commish is coming in here like a ball of fire - hell, I think he may have set some sort of land speed record - but he'd better be careful not to make a mistake. A match like this can be won or lost in a heartbeat, and with the North American Title on the line, one mistake could be _very_ costly. Jim Robson: McMannis standing ready, waiting for Idol to get up...DROPKICK TO THE KNEE plants Idol on his face...McMannis slowly into the ropes...FLIPPING LEG DROP! And the Idol rolls to the outside of the ring. Jack Anderson: That's the idea! Take a powder, break the momentum, make your opponent wait. Jim Robson: Why do you say that? Jack Anderson: Come _on_! How can you argue with Idol's smarts there? He's making the pace of the match come back down to where he wants it. Jim Robson: Well, bailing out of the ring may not be so smart when your opponent is Nate McMannis. Here he comes...OH MY GOD!!! [McMannis tries to get the jump on Idol when his back is turned. He charges at the ropes and flies into the air with an attempted somersault plancha. Idol, however, sidesteps out of the way and McMannis cannot change direction. He hits the floor with a sickening SMACK.] Jim Robson: The North American Champion went for it all and got nothing. Idol's got McMannis now...IRISH WHIP INTO THE STEEL STEPS!!! Jack Anderson: We're not even two minutes into this match and already it's gotten out of hand. Jim Robson: Idol rolls McMannis under the ropes and follows him into the ring. McMannis stands...McMannis blocks a punch from Idol and fires back with a straight left! That caught Idol by surprise. Wait, now what's Idol doing? He's headed right for the referee. Is he nuts? He's in the middle of an intense match here. Jack Anderson: Maybe he wants Geoff Cartwright to do something about those illegal fists that McMannis has been using. [McMannis comes for Idol and Idol pulls Geoff Cartwright in front of him, using him as a shield. MASSIVE heat from the crowd. McMannis stops suddenly, but looks to the fans for approval of going for the shot.] Jim Robson: Well, the fans are none too pleased with this. I don't know exactly what Idol's game plan is. WAIT! Idol shoved the ref to the side and caught McMannis off-guard with a low blow! Jack Anderson: _That's_ what his game plan was, Jim. Jim Robson: Well, whether you agree with his tactics or not, it was indeed a crafty manuever. Idol hooks the stunned McMannis by the arms...DOUBLE-ARM SUPLEX! Here's the cover... 1 . . . . . . . . . . 2 . . . . No! Kick-out by the Commissioner! Jack Anderson: Now's the time, Idol. Keep working on him and then go for the cane. Jim Robson: Idol trying to set McMannis up for another Irish whip...McMannis into the buckle...no...McMannis with a slingshot over top of the charging Idol...McMANNIS WITH A ROLL-UP FROM BEHIND!!! 1 . . . . . . . . . . . 2 . . . . . . KICK-OUT BY IDOL! Jack Anderson: McMannis damn near had the match won there. Idol, you need to watch out for this guy's speed! Jim Robson: Both men to their feet now...and a _hard_ right hand by McMannis sends the challenger down again! And Idol...now what? He's bailing out of the ring again! [Idol strolls outside the ring as the crowd begins to chant "PUS-SY" "PUS-SY". Idol doesn't let it get to him, though, as he just casually strolls around ringside.] Jack Anderson: I'm telling you; he's smart. He's taking his time, not letting McMannis quicken the pace. Every time the champ tries to get things in his ballpark, Idol breaks the momentum. That's the mark of a ring general. Jim Robson: Well, I don't necessarily agree with that. In a match of this caliber, you can't be taking breaks all the time; it gives your opponent time to recover. And with a guy who's as physically dangerous as the North American Champion - someone who won't quit fighting until all the blood has left his body, you just can't be running around like this. [Idol looks up at McMannis and McMannis cocks his head knowingly sideways, as Idol suddenly realizes that McMannis is smack dab between him and the gavel. McMannis darts around and leaps to the top turnbuckle.] Jack Anderson: HEY! No way! Jim Robson: McMannis is trying to go for the walking stick. Idol darts back into the ring and McMannis is stretching, trying to reach the stick. Idol with a shot to the kidneys! Idol climbing the turnbuckle now as well...wait a minute...he's got McMannis' arm hooked, standing on the second rope... * BOOM * [POP] Jim Robson: BACK SUPLEX OFF THE TOP! What an _incredible_ offensive move by the Idol! Jack Anderson: I just noticed, that walking stick is really up there. McMannis was standing on the top rope and holding his arm all the way up and his fingers were just barely touching it. This is a situation where height might really play a factor. Jim Robson: Well, both men are slow to get up from that awesome impact. Idol with a front facelock...INTO A SMALL PACKAGE! 1 . . . . . . . . 2 . . . . Another kick-out by McMannis! McMannis up quickly, and stops Idol with a rake to the eyes. McMannis with Idol...whips him into the ropes...SPINNING HEEL KICK! Stopped the Idol in his tracks. McMannis back up again and the Idol pulls himself up by the ropes...here comes McMannis...NO! Idol backdropped him over the top rope to the outside! Jack Anderson: What a great match this has been so far! Neither one of these guys seems to be able to put a solid series of moves together without the other one fighting back. It just goes to show how the athletes of the IWF/WOW turn it up a notch at the Pay Per Views. Jim Robson: Idol looks like he's going for the gavel now...it'd be a good time to do it, with McMannis stunned on the outside. Idol starts to climb the turnbuckle and McMannis is stirring...McMannis up to the apron and Idol is perched on the top rope. McMannis charges... * THUMP * * SLAM * Crowd: UUHHWWAA! [McMannis gets a running start along the apron and does an amazing no-hands leap to the top rope, slamming Idol off the top rope with a springboard dropkick. Idol plummets off his perch and hits the security railing face-first. McMannis amazingly stays on the apron.] Jim Robson: What an incredible move by McMannis! He's showing an incredible amount of guts in this match. Jack Anderson: You say guts; I say stupidity. Jim Robson: Wait a minute! McMannis is climbing the turnbuckle himself! Is he going to go for his walking stick? NO! He's aimed straight for The Idol. McMannis flies... . . . . . GASP! . . . . . [MASSIVE POP!!!] Jim Robson: TOP-ROPE HURRICANRANA ONTO THE FLOOR!!! Crowd: EYE-DUB! EYE-DUB! Jim Robson: I think that hurt McMannis almost as much as it did the Idol! Can you believe this match, ladies and gentlemen? Jack Anderson: I'm worried about The Idol. I don't think he expected anywhere near this level of insanity from the Commissioner. Jim Robson: Well, it was insanity personified with that move, because McMannis is still down from the impact on the concrete. Idol is starting to stir...he's going to get to his feet before the champion! Jack Anderson: That's the conditioning of the Idol showing through. [Idol briefly looks back at McMannis, only to leave him behind and slowly enter the ring under the bottom rope. Idol traverses the distance to the corner and starts to climb. However, on the floor, McMannis has begun to move.] Jim Robson: McMannis up to the apron. He's shaking the ropes, trying to knock Idol down. [McMannis doesn't have much left in his tank and tries to shake the ropes at the same time as he's pulling himself up. His head pokes between the second and third ropes and Idol takes advantage.] Jim Robson: GUILLOTINE LEG DROP! GUILLOTINE LEG DROP OFF THE TOP BY THE IDOL!!! Jack Anderson: Unbelievable! That _had_ to put McMannis away! Jim Robson: Idol is a bit worse for wear from the impact, but he's the first to move. He picks up McMannis...and _plants_ him with a DDT! Here's the cover... 1 . . . . . . . . . . 2 . . . . . . . . . . 2.5 . . . . . NO! Geoff Cartwright is signaling two! McMannis got his shoulder up just in the knick of time! Jack Anderson: Come on, Idol. Go for the gavel. It's all yours. Jim Robson: I think he heard you. Idol's going for the walking stick! If he gets that stick, you've gotta believe it'll be all said and done. He's reaching, but it's just too high from the second rope. Idol's going up to the top! Jack Anderson: Man oh man, if he falls from there... Jim Robson: Nate McMannis is up again! I can't believe this...he's coming up the ropes from the other side! He fires a shot into the gut of Idol and Idol slips to the second rope. McMannis tries to get to the top rope, but gets a shot from Idol. Jack Anderson: One of them is gonna have to knock the other one down. Not a pleasant thought... [In an instant, both men have the same idea. They both lunge upwards with their arms up towards the walking stick. Suddenly, the stick falls from its perch and both men find themselves holding it at different ends. The crowd starts to buzz.] Jim Robson: It's a tug-of-war with Nate McMannis and The Idol on different sides of the ropes, on the second turnbuckle! Jack Anderson: I don't know if they want to be pulling when they're sitting so delicately. There's nothing between them and the floor but imagination. [Suddenly, McMannis pulls out the classic tug-of-war trick: when Idol pulls, McMannis suddenly pushes and then yanks back hard. Idol loses his balance and his grip on the stick. Idol plummets backwards to the mat.] Jim Robson: IDOL IS DOWN! And McMannis is on the top rope! Jack Anderson: McMannis has the walking stick! That means he can use it on the Idol! Jim Robson: McMannis leaps... *** THUD *** [POP] Jim Robson: ELBOW DROP! ELBOW DROP! He drove the butt of the gavel right into Idol's sternum! Jack Anderson: Come on, Idol...do something! Jim Robson: The Idol is staggered! Nobody plays this kind of game quite like the North American Champion! *** KEEEEEE-RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK *** [HUGE pop as McMannis swings the cane baseball bat-style and levels Idol in the side of the head. Idol does a 360 and is flattened on the canvas.] Jim Robson: McMannis has this match won. But wait...he's not done yet. The Commissioner is climbing the turnbuckle! Jack Anderson: This is the exclamation point! Jim Robson: McMannis flies...SUICIDE SPLASH!!! SUICIDE SPLASH!!! That's gotta be all! Here's the cover... 1 . . . . . . . . . . 2 . . . . . . . . . . 2.5 . . . . . . . . . . 3!!! *** DING DING DING *** FRANCINE: The winner of this contest, and _STILL_ IWF/WOW North American Champion... "SUICIDAL"...NATE...McMANNIS!!! Jim Robson: What an incredible encounter! This match alone was well worth the price of admission! Commissioner McMannis retains the North American Championship in an _incredible_ display of guts and intestinal fortitude. Jack Anderson: Well, as much as I hate to say it, I do have to give the devil his due. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- IWF/WOW EGOS & ICONS 2001 CONTINUES... Jim Robson: We're being told that Anthony Edwards is backstage with the IWF/WOW World Heavyweight Champion, lets go to him. [The camera switches to a scene in the backstage area of the Corel Center. Standing in front of the camera are Eric Travers and Anthony Edwards. Travers is in his black wrestling gear, and the IWF/WOW World Heavyweight Title is strapped around his waist. His face is stern, but confident. Behind the two men is a banner that, judging by what we can see of it says "Egos and Icons".] Anthony Edwards: Eric Travers, tonight your war with Shane St Clair finally comes to a head. It's the two of you, one on one inside a steel cage, and the IWF/WOW World Championship is on the line. Eric Travers: Edwards, tonight is not only about the IWF/WOW World Title. Tonight is about revenge. Tonight is about eliminating Shane St Clair, and any hope he has of defeating me and taking home this belt. [Travers taps the title on his waist] Eric Travers: Shane St Clair likes to walk around telling the world that _I_ made this personal. He likes to claim that it is _I_ who exposed his steroid use to the world. We all knew this to be true, well before I even brought it up. But Shane St Clair is an artificial man for more resons than his use of steroids. He is also full of false bravado, and false accusations. He knows full well that he himself, and his carelessness are to blame for his "bicep spinach" being public knowledge, but he needs to focus that anger on me to try and carry him through this match. Well St Clair, you can blame me for whatever you want, because in the end, it won't matter. You are looking at THE greatest IWF/WOW World Heavyweight Champion of all time. An ICON of this organization, and a man who is far superior to you in every way imaginable. It is YOU St Clair who made this personal, the very second you launched Tricia off the second level of the Mayhem Arena. You showed everyone exactly how much of a man you are that night... or how little of one you are. Anthony Edwards: St Clair has proven himself as the top contender. What makes you so sure you are THAT superior? Eric Travers: Without his Androcromite, Shane St Clair wouldn't last 30 seconds in the ring with ANYONE in the IWF/WOW, let alone Eric Travers. But even with his "juice", Shane St Clair is not half the wrestler, nor half the man I am!! And here tonight, at Egos and Icons, I will prove that to everyone!! Shane St Clair, you will NOT leave Egos and Icons as the IWF/WOW World Heavyweight Champion, and there ain't a damn thing you can do about it!! [Travers' eyes are menacing as he finishes speaking. Travers turns and walks away as Edwards looks after him wide eyed. The screen switchws back to a shot inside the arena.] Jim Robson: Travers versus St. Clair is going to be a real intense battle later on here tonight. Jack Anderson: I can't wait to see Travers destory St. Clair!! Jim Robson: But I don't think it will be that easy. Jack Anderson: We'll find out soon enough. Jim Robson: Well, are you ready for some tag team action, Jack? Jack Anderson: Um ... how much is gonna cost me? Jim Robson: I don't follow. Jack Anderson: Oh. Nevermind. Jim Robson: Alright then. Well the winner of this match is going to flow into Day 2 of Egos and Icons with a shot at the IWF/WOW Tag Team Champions, Adam Van Steele and Kevin Sloan. Both of these teams are wildly popular with the fans, and really, who wouldn't want to see either one of these duos dethrone Kevin Sloan and Adam Van Steele? They've been untouchable since winning the belts. Jack Anderson: They even hold a victory over Justin Arcola and Billy Rock! Jim Robson: Well that one is questionable, but regardless, they're going to have to deal with one of these teams in a few days as we wait for each side to pick a member to start this one. Jack Anderson: Looks like we're gonna see Jesse Ewiak and Richard James beginning this one. Jim Robson: Collar and elbow tie up. Haven't seen something that pure in a while. Jack Anderson: Been seeing your wife a lot then? Jim Robson: Uncalled for, Jack. Ewiak gets the best of this. He whips the Headhunter, no, Richard James gets a grip on Jesse's wrist and reverses it! He jerks him back into a short arm clothesline! Diving elbow drop across Jesse's forehead! Richard bounces off the ropes. Ewiak thinks fast though and rolls out of the ring. Jack Anderson: He's a little too close to Cooper Concrete. Jim Robson: That's right! And Cooper jumps off the apron. He creeps up behind Jesse Ewiak. Spins him around! THE STARTLED EWIAK BROTHER GETS CLOTHESLINED OUT OF HIS BOOTS! Jack Anderson: Here comes Frank! [Frank Ewiak runs across the apron and climbs the turnbuckles adjacent to Cooper and Jesse.] Jim Robson: FRANK EWIAK IS GONNA KILL HIMSELF! [HE JUMPS!] [KRANG!!] Jim Robson: HE NAILED A TORNADO DDT ON COOPER CONCRETE!!! Jack Anderson: Yeah but he paid the price for it! He took the brunt of it against the safety railing! Jim Robson: Richard James climbs out of the ring as well, and this one is already getting out of control! Jack Anderson: Tempers flare when you've got something as priceless as a shot at the IWF/WOW World Tag Team Titles at risk. [Frank Ewiak is leaning against the ring apron.] Jim Robson: THE HEADHUNTER BULLDOGS FRANK INTO THE FLOOR!! He throws him across the floor and into the timekeepers table! James picks up Jesse Ewiak, tosses him into the ring, and follows. Cooper Concrete seems to be gathering his senses again and climbs onto the apron. Jack Anderson: Gathering his senses eh? Well it shouldn't take him too long. Jim Robson: Richard James holds Jesse across his body. FALL-AWAY-SLAM! Goes for the quick cover! 1 . . . 2 . . . Jim Robson: Not yet! He drags Jesse over to the Boston Bad Boys corner. Makes the tag to Cooper who is still little dazed. Not sure how smart of an idea this is. Richard James hoists Jesse up onto his shoulders! COOPER IS GOING TO THE TOP ROPE!! [Richard walks toward the turnbuckles. Cooper wraps his arm around Jesse's head and grabs a handful of his trunks. He hoists Ewiak off of Richard's shoulders.] [BOOM!] Jim Robson: COOPER HITS A FACE FIRST SUPLEX OFF THE TOP ROPE!! [POP! The fans appreciate that one.] Jim Robson: COOPER MAKES THE COVER! 1 . . . 2 . . . Jim Robson: FRANK JUMPS IN AND BREAKS IT UP WITH A DOUBLE-AXE HANDLE! Here comes Richard James to retaliate! HE TACKLES FRANK! THOSE TWO ARE ROLLING ACROSS THE RING! TRADING PUNCHES OVER EACH OTHERS SKULL! Cooper whips Jesse into the turnbuckle! HE MISSES AN AVALANCHE ATTEMPT! Jesse grabs him from behind! BACK DROP! Ewiak bounces off the ropes! Knee drop across Cooper's head! Jack Anderson: What damage can you do there that hasn't been done already? Jim Robson: Brilliant, Jack. You are a freaking genius if I understand that joke correctly. Jesse Ewiak whips Cooper across the ring! Ewiak ducks under a clothesline and hooks him from behind! A SIT-DOWN FULL NELSON BOMB! Cooper bounces across the mat! Jesse doesn't give him a moment to rest! He jerks him to his feet! OH YEAH! THE SIX FOOT EIGHT, TWO HUNDRED AND NINETY POUND MONSTER POWERBOMBS COOPER CONCRETE! THE COVER! 1 . . . . . 2 . . . . . Jim Robson: KICKOUT! Cooper barely stays in this one! Jesse shoots him across the ring! CAPTURES HIM WITH A POWERSLAM ON THE WAY BACK! Jesse bounces off the ropes! Elbow drop! Jack Anderson: Richard James and Frank Ewiak are brawling still outside the ring! [KLANG!] Jack Anderson: Richard slams Frank head first into the safety railing! [KLANG!] Jim Robson: AGAIN! Frank slumps to his knees as Richard slides back into the ring! He comes up behind Jesse Ewiak! INVERTED DDT!! [Frank slowly trudges toward the timekeepers table. He grabs the chair and folds it up.] Jim Robson: Oh, don't do it, Frank! I know you're frustrated, but don't ruin it for you and your brother! [Frank comes toward Richard James and takes a swing.] [BANG!] Jim Robson: THE HEADHUNTER MOVED! EWIAK HIT THE STEEL POST! COOPER COMES UP BEHIND FRANK! __CEMENT MIXER__!!! RICHARD PICKS HIM UP AND HOLDS HIM UPSIDE DOWN! . . . . . [BOOM!] Jim Robson: THE GHOSTBUSTER!! Jack Anderson: Watch out for Jesse! Jim Robson: JESSE EWIAK DROPKICKS RICHARD JAMES THROUGH THE ROPES AND TO THE OUTSIDE! HE GRABS COOPER BY THE NECK AND HOISTS HIM UP! [BOOM!] Jim Robson: THE DEAD MAN WALKING CHOKESLAM!! LIFTS HIM BY HIS NECK AGAIN! LIFTS HIM UP ONE MORE TIME! [BOOM!!!] Jim Robson: THE MIRACLE ECSTACY BOMB!!! 1 . . . . . 2 . . . . . [POP!!] Jim Robson: RICHARD JAMES KICKES JESSE IN THE BACK OF THE HEAD!! HERE COMES FRANK! HE CLOTHESLINES THE HEADHUNTER OVER THE TOP ROPE, BUT RICHARD TAKES HIM WIH HIM!! JESSE PICKS UP COOPER CONCRETE AND THROWS HIM OVER THE TOP! JESSE CLIMBS ONTO THE APRON! FLYING CLOTHESLINE!! [The referee begins to count.] 1 . . . 2 . . . Jim Robson: They've paired up! Frank and Richard are brawling in the aisle! Jesse is sitting atop Cooper pounding him in the head! 3 . . . 4 . . . 5 . . . Jim Robson: Someone's gotta get back into that ring! RICHARD JAMES BACKDROPS FRANK EWIAK ONTO THAT HARD AISLE FLOOR! NOW'S HE'S RUNNING BACK TO THE RING! 6 . . . 7 . . . 8 . . . Jim Robson: THE HEADHUNTER IS RUNNING UP THE RING STAIRS!! [POP!!!] Jack Anderson: HOLY GOD!! Jim Robson: JESSE EWIAK SPRANG UP AND SPEARED RICHARD JAMES OFF OF THE STAIRS!!! BOTH MEN COLLIDED WITH THE SAFETY RAILING!!! 9 . . . 10 DING DING DING FRANCINE: Ladies and gentlemen ... this match has been ruled a DOUBLE COUNT-OUT!!! [BOOOOOOOOO!!!] Jim Robson: So who gets the shot? Jack Anderson: NO ONE gets it! Neither of them deserve it! Jim Robson: After what I've seen tonight, that comment contains NO merit whatsoever! It looks like ... yeah! [POP!] Jim Robson: HERE COMES CO-PRESIDENT JURKSCHAT! [Co-President Jurkschat stands in the aisle with a microphone.] CO-PRESIDENT JURKSCHAT: I can't stay for long, and Commissioner McMannis is occupied, but I just wanted to come out and congratulate both teams on a great match by saying that neither team won, but neither team lost either. Therefore ... BOTH TEAMS will receive the IWF/WOW World Tag Team Title shot on Day 2 of EGOS & ICONS! [HUGE POP!!!] [Co-Preident Jurkschat smiles, waves, and walks back up the aisle as both teams stare each other down. The Ewiaks on one side of the ring. The Boston Bad Boys on the other.] Jim Robson: Well there you have it! Decreed by Co-President Chris Jurkschat! It will be a triple threat tag team match for the tag team titles on Day 2! I can't wait, Jack. Jack Anderson: This could get really interesting, and really wild! Three teams going for one title? Man, that's going to be insane! Jim Robson: Count me in as being one of the people looking forward to it though. Jack Anderson: It could be a show stealer. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- IWF/WOW EGOS & ICONS 2001 CONTINUES... Jim Robson: Well, they are setting up the cage now as we speak and I am told that the rCw faction are backstage with Anthony Edwards. Anthony, take it away. [screen fades to Damian & Celeste, Peter Grand and Edwards Dalton standing in the rCw Locker Room. There is a newly released IWF/WOW rCw poster of Damian, Celeste, Dalton and Grant hanging on the wall behind them.] Anthony Edwards: Alright, tonight is your return PPV. You also have this golden opportunity to push your product on a major IWF/WOW PPV... Damian Malcolm: What are you talking about Edwards. The rCw could belong to Chris Jurky after this night is over. All I am doing tonight is fighting for the very promotion that I invented. Anthony Edwards: Well, if that's the case than why did you put the rCw on the line?? Damian Malcolm: Oh come on, you watch the IWF/WOW product don't you?? It's your job as a journalist to keep track on what is going on in this promotion. If I have to spell it out for you, it's R-E-V-E-N-G-E!! I have tried everything I could to get Jurkschat in that ring and now I have... Anthony Edwards: Oh, but you know that Co-President Jurkschat is not a wrestler. Beating him won't be any major accomplishment. Damian Malcolm: On the contrary. It will be a victory for me. Tonight, I want the IWF/WOW to see what the REAL rCw is all about, not some half-ass attempt faulty promotion that didn't work back in 1996. Tonight, at EGOS & ICONS, Damian will have the stage and the rCw WILL defeat the IWF/WOW. Anthony Edwards: What about your involvement in the Indepdence Day Rumble on Wednesday at EGOS & ICONS. You have totally ignored the fact that you are in that battle. Damian Malcolm: Yes, I have, for good reasons. I am using that opportunity to get my prove what the IWF/WOW wrestlers will be dealing with after EGOS & ICONS. You see, after tonight, I am done with Jurkschat. I am closing the chapter on 'old business' tonight. Next week, the chapter of Damian Malcolm and the rCw in the IWF/WOW will begin and oh, what a ride it will be. Anthony Edwards: Okay, now that we have that out of the way, I must admit, Damian, that the circumstances surrounding this match is most bizarre. It is billed as an rCw sanctioned cage match... called the Doomsday Match!! But from what I see, there are no special rules, just a different name than the typical HELL IN A CELL type match... Is there anything remotely different that makes this match rCw Sanctioned?? Damian Malcolm (with his arm around his wife, Celeste): Of course, you moron, tonight is a sample of what the CURRENT rCw is like. Tonight is a small taste of rCw flavour on IWF/WOW television. What it is, you will have to watch and find out. Anthony Edwards: What is going to happen if Co-President Jurkschat beats you here tonight, Damian... Peter Grant: That won't happen. Four years ago, many rCw wrestlers defected to the IWF and tonight, the rCw will defeat the IWF/WOW. A lot has changed as we will find out here tonight... Anthony Edwards: Thanks, Damian... [screen fades back into the arena. "Heavy" by Collective Soul blared over the loud speaker...] Jim Robson: Here we go, this is for all the marbles. _____ ___ ___ | ____( _ ) |_ _|-=-=-=-=-=-=-= IWF/WOW EGOS & ICONS 2001 -=-=-=-=-=-=-= | _| / _ \/\| | GRUDGE MATCH! | |__| (_> <| | Damian Malcolm vs co-President Jurkschat |_____\___/\/___|=-=-=-=-=-=-=- IWF/WOW EGOS & ICONS 2001 =-=-=-=-=-=-=- -----------------------> WRITER: Phill Feltham <------------------------ FRANCINE: This is an rCw Sanctioned Cage match scheduled for one fall. Jim Robson: This is a Doomsday Cage Match. It's a typical cage match with the winner getting the rCw. If Damian wins, he keeps it, if Jurky, er, I mean Co-President Jurkschat wins than he will once again have taken out the rCw. Jack Anderson: That won't happen... Jim Robson: We will see... [Damian Malcolm walks to the ring with the IWF belt around his waist. Edward Dalton, Celeste and Peter Grant walk close behind Damian. While Damian get into the ring, the rCw faction sit at ringside.] Jim Robson: This spells nothing but trouble for co-President Jurkschat. I hope he knows what he is getting himself into. ["James Dean" by Flush blares over the loud speaker. Chris Jurkschat is wearing typical ring attire. Black trunks with a black t-shirt.] Jack Anderson: The co-prez is showing a lot of balls here tonight!! He has NO ONE coming to the ring with him. He must have a death wish. Jim Robson: No, Mr. Jurkschat wants to show his fans what a true card he is. He wants to defy all the odds and show that he has the testicular fortitude to overcome this most unlikely challenge!! Jack Anderson: HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!! What kind of shit was that?? Come on, you know for a fact that Jurky is just being stupid. You will not see one American take on a Chinese army all by himself, would you?? Not if he wants to die fast anyway... [Damian sit in the corner of the ring looking at Chris Jurkschat coming up the ramp. The Co-Prez stumbles by the other rCwers in the audience. Jurkschat opens the cage door and enters the ring. Damian smiles.] Jack Anderson: I think Jurkschat is nervous. Jim Robson: I think so, too. DING! DING! DING!! Jack Anderson: Here we go... [Damian walks up to Jurkschat non-chalantly in the cage. He tilts his head back and gives Jurkschat a half smile. Jurkschat shakes his head at Damian and then punches him across the face.] Jim Robson: Wow, did you see that?? Jack Anderson: I think I did. [Damian barely flinches. His head was jerked because of the hit. Damian just turned his head and stares right into Jurkschat's eyes. Jurkschat turns the other way and tries to run.] Jack Anderson: Sorry, Jurky, there is no running in this match, you piece of chicken shit!! Jim Robson: Come on, watch the language!! Damian has Jurkschat by the tights now. Damian sends Jurkschat into the ropes. Damian grabs Jurkschat and POWERSLAM!! Jim Robson: Aww, no way!! Not a good way to start a match. [Damian is on his feet, he forces Jurkschat to his feet and then launches him into the steel cage. Jurkschat's head bounces off the cage. The Co-Prez falls backward, Damian grabs Jurkschat and then back suplexes him to the canvas.] Jim Robson: This is not fair. This is going to be no challenge for crying out loud. He is not even a wrestler. Jack Anderson: Oh, Jim, shut up!! I am enjoying this. How many opportunities do we get to see our boss get the living shit kicked out of him. To tell you the truth, I wish that was me in that ring right now!! [Damian dragged Jurkschat's scrawny motionless body to one of the buckles. Damian lifted himself onto the second buckles. He jumped and nailed Jurkschat with an elbow square into Jurkschat's throat.] Jim Robson: This is not right at all!! What is Damian doing now?? He is forcing a groggy Jurkschat to his feet. Jack Anderson: He is motioning for one of the referees to open the cell door. [The referee opens the cell door. Damian than launched Jurkschat through the cage door and onto the concrete.] Jim Robson: Oh, come off it!! This is definitely not right. Jack Anderson: No, this is poetic justice!! [Damian slid to the outside of the cage. He looked at Peter Grant and Edward Dalton clapping at Damian's efforts. Damian never responded, he grabbed Jurkschat by the hair and forced the Co-Prez to his feet.] WHAM!! WHAM!! WHAM!! Jack Anderson: Holy shit balls!! Damian has no use for Jurkschat, does he?? Jim Robson: What do you think?? There is nothing that the Co-Prez can do about this onslaught, he is totally outmatched when it comes to Damian Malcolm. [Damian Malcolm grabs a microphone.] DAMIAN MALCOLM: This is what I was talking about, Jurkschat. This is what it's like being on the insides of the cage. This is what pain is like and this is what it's to feel my fist against your face!! WHACK!! Jim Robson: Now what was that!! That was a stiff shot!! Jack Anderson: IDIOT!! This is "REAL TELEVISION!!" Damian said it himself. Jim Robson: No... this is the IWF/WOW, and this is for entertainment not some sort of a cheap backyard wrestling match. Jack Anderson: Wow!! Watch the prejudice, now. [Blood gushes from Jurkschat's forehead and leaks into the blue mats.] Jack Anderson: Look at Jurkschat's hair, it's all red from the amount of blood coming from his forehead. Jim Robson: Now what is Damian doing?? [Damian forced Jurkschat to his feet. Jurkschat's head swayed back and forth as Damian lifted him.] Jim Robson: Damian is going to hit Jurkschat with that microphone!! POW!! Jack Anderson: DAMIAN IS DOWN!! Jim Robson: Good for you, Jurkschat. Good for you. He just Damian have it right in the groin. Jack Anderson: Don't be surprised if that's the only shot he gets in this match. [Jurkschat suddenly started to show life. He started to squirm in his puddle of blood. He then used the barricade to elevate himself and then staggered over to the announce position.] Jack Anderson: Yuk, Jurky, get the fuck out of here!! We don't want to look at your blood!! [Jurkschat wiped his forehead and then flicked the blood from his hands onto Anderson and Robson.] Jim Robson: Disgusting!! Jack Anderson: You fuck nut, you just ruined my $900 armony suit. Jim Robson: Yeah, now it's worth $250. Jack Anderson: Look out!! [Damian charged at Jurkschat. Jurkschat dropped out of the way and Damian flew over the announce position running into Jack Anderson.] Jim Robson: Anderson is down for the count!! I can't believe what we are seeing here tonight. [Jurkschat staggers over to a stunned Damian, who is laying on top of Anderson.] Jim Robson: The owner forces Damian to his feet. He sends him over the top into the audience!! Jurkschat is taking a big chance wrestling hardcore with Damian!! [Jurkschat grabs Anderson's chair, folds it and waits for Damian to get back to his feet.] WHACK!! Jim Robson: Oh my God!! Did you see that!! Jurkschat just nailed Damian Malcolm with that steel chair!! ["You fucker!! You damn ass mother fucker!!" Damian yelled.] [Jurkschat's determination turned into fear as Damian rushed to his feet.] Jim Robson: This doesn't look good!! [Jurkschat turned around and with newfound energy, darted toward the cage.] Jim Robson: Now what is Jurkschat doing?? HE IS CLIMBING THE SIDE OF THE CAGE!! [Damian Malcolm is back on his feet, he shakes off the cobwebs and with a little assistance from Grant and Dalton is back over the barricade onto the floor.] Jack Anderson: Damian does not look happy!! Jim Robson: And you don't look too neat and tidy anymore. Jack Anderson: We don't need to talk about that. Just a simple mishap in the line of duty. Jim Robson: Line of duty?? Man, you're full of it!! [Damian looks up at Jurkschat, who is half way up the cage.] Jack Anderson: The look on Damian's face makes him look very angry. Jim Robson: No kidding!! Damian is going up after Jurkschat!! [Jurkschat is almost at the top when Damian came in close behind him.] Jack Anderson: He's almost got him!! [The lights go out in the arena!!] Jim Robson: Oh no, not this again!! [The lights in the arena began to flicker and this time really eerie organ music echoed over the loud speaker.] Jack Anderson: Look!! [The man dubbed the Phantom was lowered from the top of the arena, like the Blue Blazer a few years back. He landed on the top of the cage.] Jim Robson: What is going on here?? That Phantom character is on the top of the cage. Look at what he is doing?? Jack Anderson: He is pulling Jurkschat to the top and pushing him out of the way. [Damian climbs to the top of the cage and then is met by a viscious clothesline. Damian falls to the cage top nearly falling over the edge.] Jim Robson: That was a close one!! The Phantom now is fighting Damian. Jack Anderson: Yeah, might as well, make it interesting because Jurkschat was not going to put up much more of a fight. [Damian struggles to his feet, only to get kicked down again. The Phantom then nailed Damian with a flying clothesline.] Jack Anderson: Oh shit, look at Grant and Dalton. They are all trying to climb the side of the cage. [Dalton and Grant began to climb up the side of the cage.] Jim Robson: The Phantom better do something quick!! ["You want Damian, well you can have him!!" The Phantom yelled.] [The Phantom placed a groggy Damian's head between his legs. The Phantom then lifted Damian in the air and powerbombed him off the top of the cage.] Jack Anderson: LOOOK OUT!! [Anderson and Robson moved out of the way as Damian crashed through the table.] Jim Robson: Not this again!! Jack Anderson: It's not done yet, what is the Phantom doing to Jurkschat?? Jim Robson: He is bench pressing the Co-Prez above his head!! [The Phantom drops Jurkschat off the top of the cage.] . . . . . . . . . . CRASH!!! Jack Anderson: Ouch!! He just landed right on top of Damian Malcolm!! Jim Robson: The referee is there to make a cover. Jack Anderson: The rCwers are on the top of the cage. I don't think they will be able to stop the count in time!!. 1 . . . . . . . . . . . 2 . . . . . . . . Jim Robson: Dalton sees the cover!! He just jumped off the cage!! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 3!!!! CRASH!! Jack Anderson: Holy shit!! Did you see that?? Dalton just landed on the referee. That official is down for the count. Jim Robson: And so is The Phantom. Grant and Dalton are kicking the crap out of the Phantom. [The rCwers position The Phantom at the edge of the cell. They push him off and he lands back first on the concrete.] Jim Robson: Is this match over?? The referee counted the three!! Jack Anderson: I don't think so because Dalton landed on the official before his hand could connect for the third time. [Security rushes down to ringside and forces the rCwers out of the building as soon as they came down from the cage.] Jim Robson: Here comes some paramedics. They are here to give both Damian and Jurkschat some care. Whatever the decision is, I don't think we are going to see much of one here tonight, folks. We might have to wait until the Independence Day Rumble or the to find out what exactley happened. Jack Anderson: Damn it!! Jim Robson: My god... this is insane! Jack Anderson: Officials are trying to clean this mess up... Jim Robson: Good luck, it could take a while. Jack Anderson: Excuse me while I take a nap... Jim Robson: Well, while we are waiting lets go backstage to Anthony Edwards, who is with Robert d'Artois... Jack Anderson: d'Artois? Huh? Well, maybe I'll just skip this nap. Jim Robson: Oh, please, take it away Tony... [d'Artois, warming up in his locker room, is interrupted by Anthony Edwards.] Anthony Edwards: Robert d'Artois, you were put in a street fight against Razor Ron Jeremy tonight, and in order to progress in the Ultimate Wrestling Challenge, you'll probably have to win the bout. Any comment on that? Robert d'Artois: First of all, I'm not happy it's a street fight. Secondly, I shall be the first two-time winner of the Ultimate Wrestling Challenge. I won in 1997, beating such IWF/WOW performers as Desert Scorpion, Jeremy Thranton and Dark Vanity, among others. May I also make the viewers remember that I was the greatest IWF/WOW World Champion and I won the Independant Day Rumble. I am a survivor, and I am ready for anything. I'm a wrestler, but I can brawl, and I've proven that troughout the years, no matter what announcers will tell you. In order to repeat my legendary winning of the Ultimate Wrestling Challenge, I have to win this match against Jeremy... I will go to this ring, I will make him bleed, I will make him suffer, and I shall defeat him. That's all I got to say about that. I'm the greatest, and I shall prove that once again. [d'Artois sends Anthony Edwards out of his room.] Anthony Edwards: Well folks, it appears Robert d'Artois is ready for his Ultimate Wrestling Challenge match in just a few short minutes. Folks, back to ringside. [The camera fades back to ringside, where the cage has now been risen to the top for the main event later on in the night.] Jim Robson: d'Artois is ready. Jack Anderson: As he always is... =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- IWF/WOW EGOS & ICONS 2001 CONTINUES... Jim Robson: Up next we've got the continuation of the Ultimate Wrestling Challenge - a tournament that makes stars. Jack Anderson: And you know, one of the stars that this tournament has made is a man who is taking part in it once again - Robert d'Artois. d'Artois won the tournament, and a short time later went on to win the IWF/WOW World Heavyweight Championship. Now he's back and quickly moving up the ranks once again. Jim Robson: But he'll have to go through another former IWF/WOW World Champion in Razor Ron Jeremy. RRJ and d'Artois have gone through a bitter feud over the past few weeks, and now it will lead to this street fight here tonight. Jack Anderson: And as we saw earlier in the night, it was announced that the bodyguards of d'Artois could be at ringside. But what I don't get is why RRJ wants them there? Jim Robson: Well, RRJ promised a surprise for d'Artois - perhaps this is it? Jack Anderson: Maybe. Jim Robson: Lets go to Francine. _____ ___ ___ | ____( _ ) |_ _|-=-=-=-=-=-=-= IWF/WOW EGOS & ICONS 2001 -=-=-=-=-=-=-= | _| / _ \/\| | ULTIMATE WRESTLING CHALLENGE | |__| (_> <| | Razor Ron Jeremy vs Robert d'Artois |_____\___/\/___|=-=-=-=-=-=-=- IWF/WOW EGOS & ICONS 2001 =-=-=-=-=-=-=- --------------------------> WRITER: Chris J. <-------------------------- ["Toward The Pantheon" by Emperor begins to play over the loudspeakers. The crowd has a mixed reaction, seemingly not deciding exactly what to do. From the backstage area come two men, large, dressed in black suits with black shirts and dark blue ties. The one on the left has dark black hair, and his face is kind of whiter, without much tan. The other one's hair goes more toward shades of brown, but is also not much tanned and has a large scar on the left side of his face. They are smiling, while slowly walking toward the ring. A graphic underneath the image informs us that the dark-haired one is Lugen Karnovasch and the scarred one is Alexander Dubois. They quickly hop in the ring and Karnovasch violently takes the microphone from Francine, while Alexander Dubois pushes her aside. Karnovasch smiles and address the crowd. The music stops.] LUGEN KARNOVASCH: Ladies and gentlemen... Now is the time... Now, the man that you've all paid to see will be coming down the aisle... Here is a man who's already tasted the glory, here is a man who is now know as a legend, here is a man who's making his path toward the Pantheon of Wrestling... From the royal city of Orleans, France... At 6'0'', 230 lbs... Representing the House of Artois, here is the master of wrestling... Please stand up and give an astounding round of applause for somebody who is a God Among Men... R O B E R T D ' A R T O I S ! ! ! ["Toward The Pantheon" by Emperor start to play once again over the loudspeakers. The lights start to dim a little bit, and turn to complete blackness. A golden trail is then lighted over the alley, with the symbols of the House of Artois in the middle of it (a dark blue herald, with a golden crown and a fleur-de-lys). Out from the back comes out a man, well built, wearing a black singlet with, in the front, the logo of the House of Artois. He wears black wrestling boots. Over this attire, he wears a black robe with his logo on the back, in the same tones as on the other places. He has long hair, worn in a ponytail, and has a small goatee. He smiles, but ignores the fans on his way to the ring. He slowly climbs the ringsteps, and climbs in the ring while Dubois and Karnovasch are holding down the ropes for him.] Jim Robson: d'Artois looks ready. Jack Anderson: This is going to be good!! [As Francine is about to introduce Razor Ron Jeremy, d'Artois asks for the microphone.] ROBERT D'ARTOIS: Well, tonight is the night. In a few seconds, I'll meet, for the third time, Razor Ron Jeremy. But this time it shall be different, because it is a street fight. To advance in the Ultimate Wrestling Challenge, we shall meet in a street fight... It's illogical, it's stupid, but it's the way that it was seemingly meant to be. I am therefore forced to brawl, I am not happy about that, but be sure of one thing, Jeremy will be able to properly understand the lesson that I'm going to give him. The superior wrestler will always be the superior brawler, there's no other way around. And everybody knows that I am the best wrestler to ever step foot in the IWF/WOW. [That statement is met with boos.] ROBERT D'ARTOIS: Jeremy is a brawler, he's a fighter, and he'll see that it doesn't matter how good he is, or how good he thinks he is, because no matter what he'll do, no matter what he'll try, I'll always be one step before him. And I shall give him a lesson in his language, a lesson that he'll have no excuse to forget... He shall be forced to admit that he should have forfeited the match to me, that he should have backed down, because he can't beat me, even in his own game. [He smiles, as the crowd boos.] ROBERT D'ARTOIS: He can't beat me, because, if he is a man, then I must be a God. [He throws the microphone back to Francine, and walks toward his corner. His bodyguards, Lugen Karnovasch and Alexander Dubois, slowly make their way out of the ring.] PA: CUZ RON IS GOD, AND GOD IS RON!!!!! [The opening horn of "Daterape" by Sublime begins to play over the loudspeakers, and the crowd pops!] FRANCINE: About to enter the ring, hailing From Beverly Hills, California, USA, standing 6 foot 3 inches and weighing in at 280 pounds, here is... R A Z O R R O N J E R E M Y ! ! ! [Razor Ron Jeremy peeps slowly through the curtain and then jumps down the aisle. He breaks out that famous grin and starts dancing ska down to ringside. RRJ has on loose gray sweatpants, homemade tie-dye T-shirt, white wrestling shoes, kneepads, elbowpads, and wrist tape. "Ron is God and everyone else sucks," "Where can I find some Bootie?" and "Ron is God, but needs help!" signs. After a few seconds, RRJ feels the urge to sing the lyrics to his song.] RRJ: SHE DIDN'T WANT TO, HE HAD HIS WAY, SHE SAID LET'S GO, HE SAID...."RRJ!" C'MON BABE IT'S YOUR LUCK DAY, DADADADADADADADAY. HHHEEEEEHEHEHEEHEEEHAAAHAAAHAAA!!!! [RRJ gets in the ring, and starts to hit his head on the turnbuckle, then he stands up on it, throws his fists in the air, and gives a big grin to the crowd. After a big pop, he runs down to ringside and pulls Bootie out from under the ring. For the fans amusement he sticks it onto the turnbuckle.] DING! DING! DING! Jim Robson: Here we go... Jack Anderson: d'Artois comes right after RRJ!! RRJ goes after d'Artois! Jim Robson: And this wild match is underway... both men are going after each other. d'Artois and RRJ are in the centre of the ring trading blows... RRJ is getting the upper hand! Jack Anderson: This could be bad... d'Artois can't let RRJ take any type of control, or he just might not get it back. Jim Robson: RRJ whips d'Artois into the ropes... MAJOR CLOTHESLINE BY RRJ NEARLY TAKES THE HEAD OFF OF ROBERT D'ARTOIS!! Jack Anderson: d'Artois is off his feet and RRJ is going after him. You know, with three inches and about fifty pounds on d'Artois, RRJ really has a huge advantage here in this street fight. Jim Robson: Then again, d'Artois has those two huge bodyguards on the outside providing him with an advantage. Jack Anderson: Good point. Jim Robson: RRJ is coming after d'Artois. d'Artois is backing off... he roles under the ropes... RRJ is following... Jack Anderson: He had better watch out for those bodyguards! They're just around the corner. Jim Robson: d'Artois is trying to get away from Razor Ron Jeremy... but RRJ catches up to him and throws him back into the ring! Jack Anderson: The bodyguards are staying back so far, keeping an eye on the match, but not interfering. Jim Robson: RRJ has Robert d'Artois... Jeremy sets d'Artois up... BACK SUPLEX BY RRJ!!! Jack Anderson: I'm kind of surprise RRJ is keeping it in the ring. Jim Robson: So am I... RRJ is now back to his feet and is picking d'Artois up... he drapes his neck over the middle rope... and RAZOR RON JEREMY IS CHOKING ROBERT D'ARTOIS ON THE RING ROPES!!! Jack Anderson: Oh come on!! Make him stop... Jim Robson: It's a street fight - anything goes! Jack Anderson: Damn it!! Jim Robson: The referee gets RRJ to back off some... Jack Anderson: Thank god! He may have just saved the guys life! Jim Robson: d'Artois is getting to his feet... BUT HERE COMES RAZOR RON JEREMY!! HUGE CLOTHESLINE TAKES ROBERT D'ARTOIS OVER THE TOP ROPE AND THEY BOTH FALL TO THE OUTSIDE!! Jack Anderson: Ohh!! Jim Robson: What a fall... Jack Anderson: They both landed hard, and it doesn't look like either of them are getting up anytime soon. Jim Robson: Well here come Lugen Karnovasch and Alexander Dubois... Jack Anderson: This could spell bad news for Razor Ron Jeremy!! Jim Robson: There are no rules in this street fight... and since RRJ asked co-President Jurkschat to allow Karnovasch and Dubois at ringside, they can do whatever they want!! Jack Anderson: Karnovasch picks up RRJ... HE RAMS HIM HEAD FIRST INTO THE STEEL RING POST!!! Jim Robson: Meanwhile Alexander Dubois is trying to help Robert d'Artois to his feet, and d'Artois is slowly making it up. Jack Anderson: What a huge advantage it is for d'Artois to have these two at ringside! And what an idiot RRJ is... Jim Robson: Karnovasch continues to pound and stomp away on RRJ outside of the ring. RRJ is really looking to be in tough shape out there. Jack Anderson: d'Artois is back to his feet. Jim Robson: And he's going right after RRJ. d'Artois with RRJ... he picks RRJ up... AND HE DROPS HIM NECKFIRST OVER THE GUARDRAIL!! Jack Anderson: Good golly miss molly! That _has_ got to hurt... Jim Robson: d'Artois is really sucking the life out of RRJ now. He's driving RRJ's skull into the guardrail now, really beating the life out of him. Jack Anderson: This is how you win a match like this - by doing whatever it takes to walk away with the victory. Jim Robson: And Robert d'Artois is doing just that. Razor Ron Jeremy is fighting... fighting for his life. One of d'Artois' bodyguards, Lugen Karnovasch, is going over and grabbing a chair. Jack Anderson: Oh my!! This is going to get bad for RRJ... _really_ bad!! Jim Robson: Karnovasch hands over the chair to d'Artois... >>>>> SMACH <<<<< [the crowd gasps] >>>>> SMACH <<<<< [the crowd gasps again] >>>>> SMACH <<<<< Jack Anderson: Oh my!! Jim Robson: d'Artois just drilled RRJ with three _vicious_ chair shots!! I don't know if RRJ can take much more of this beating. Jack Anderson: I think it could be over... Jim Robson: Here goes the pin attept... 1 . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 2 . . . . . . . . . . . . . [the fans pop] . . . . . RRJ KICKS OUT!! Jack Anderson: My god, I can't believe RRJ kicked out of that. Those chair shots had to take a lot out of him... if RRJ wasn't crazy enough before, he's going to be even more insane now!! Jim Robson: d'Artois is taking his time here so that he has a chance to rest up some himself. Jack Anderson: And why not? With Karnovasch and Dubois at ringside with him, he might as well. Jim Robson: I really feel bad for RRJ... the odds are really stacked against him! It's three on one. Jack Anderson: Hey, he asked for it! Some surprise this was. Jim Robson: d'Artois is dragging RRJ up the aisle. He's taking him up to the top of the steel rampway. Jack Anderson: This could get real interesting... Jim Robson: What does d'Artois have planned? Jack Anderson: I have no idea... Jim Robson: d'Artois is setting RRJ up for a piledriver on the steel entranceway!! Oh no... this could cause some serious damage to the head of RRJ!! Jack Anderson: If those chair shots didn't do enough as it is!! Jim Robson: d'Artois with the piledriver!!!! [the fans pop] .... NO!!!! RRJ TURNS IT INTO A BACK BODY DROP!!! Jack Anderson: What a reversal!! Jim Robson: I don't believe it! Jack Anderson: Neither do I! Jim Robson: RRJ looks to be getting a second wind here in this match. He's getting to his feet.. Jack Anderson: This could be real bad for d'Artois. Jim Robson: RRJ has d'Artois... he picks him up.... .... .... HE SLAMS HIM OFF THE STEEL ENTRANCE STAGE!! .... .... .... OH MY GOD!! Jack Anderson: d'Artois went straight to the cold hard floor to the side of the stage!! Jim Robson: This could be it for d'Artois!! Jack Anderson: RRJ certainly looks pleased with himself... Jim Robson: I would be too, after all, he should have this match in the books. Jack Anderson: Never count Robert d'Artois out! Jim Robson: RRJ is looking down on Robert d'Artois... he's yelling at him, yelling him to get up! Jack Anderson: Give him a break!! Jim Robson: d'Artois is moving a little bit, but he's in a hell of a lot of pain, and he's really fighting. Jack Anderson: Man, d'Artois is a madman... I don't know how he can _still_ be moving!! Jim Robson: RRJ is looking on... but wait!! Jack Anderson: Here come the bodyguards!! Jim Robson: Lugen Karnovasch and Alexander Dubois are coming after Razor Ron Jeremy now!! Jack Anderson: Karnovasch and Dubois are going to take control now. They're going to make sure d'Artois walks out of here tonight with the win. Jim Robson: You could be right... they are slowly moving in on RRJ. RRJ doesn't seem to know what he should do! Jack Anderson: He's trapped!! Jim Robson: He certainly is... Jack Anderson: Things are looking bad for Razor Ron Jeremy. Jim Robson: HOLD ON!! Who is that? Jack Anderson: What!? WHERE!? Jim Robson: From the crowd... Jack Anderson: I don't know... Jim Robson: Some big five-hundred pound man in glasses and a purple t-shirt has just crashed over the guardrail! He's going after Karnovasch and Dubois! Jack Anderson: What the hell? Who is he? SECURITY!!! Jim Robson: This large man is coming after the bodyguards... Jack Anderson: OH MY GOD!!! HE'S FIGHTING THEM!!! Seriously, someone get security in here! Jim Robson: And he's putting up a damn good fight too... Karnovasch and Dubois are on the run through the stands thanks to this guy!! Jack Anderson: He's chasing after them like a psychotic madman!! Must be some insane RRJ fan! Jim Robson: It appears that has taken care of Lugen Karnovasch and Alexander Dubois... Jack Anderson: I guess that is the end of the bodyguards, but what is d'Artois to do now? Jim Robson: He's going to have to fight to win this match himself!! Jack Anderson: But come on! This idiot fan has no business being out here... Jim Robson: Well, hey, RRJ did promise a surprise for d'Artois. Maybe this is it? Jack Anderson: You have to be kidding me! Jim Robson: I kid you not. Hopefully we'll find out who he is later on here tonight. Jack Anderson: d'Artois is still down and out on the floor by the entrance ramp. Jim Robson: RRJ is now going down and after him... d'Artois is in a hell of a lot of trouble. He's grabbing his shoulder, in serious pain. Jack Anderson: It looks like Razor Ron Jeremy is going to try for the win here shortly.. Jim Robson: RRJ picks d'Artois up. He's already in a ton of pain from his fall earlier... what is RRJ planning to do now... he's picking him up... Jack Anderson: Oh my!!! Jim Robson: RRJ POWERBOMBS ROBERT D'ARTOIS THROUGH THE BREAK TABLE!!! Oh my, the unions will be pissed now - all their free cold Keith's beer has gone to waste, and d'Artois is covered in it! Jack Anderson: WHAT!?! There was free beer? Why didn't someone tell me about this? Jim Robson: What? Oh, never mind. RRJ is going for the pinfall.. Jack Anderson: It could be over for d'Artois!! Jim Robson: The count!! 1 . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 2 . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . [could it be?] . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DING! DING! DING! Jim Robson: It's over! Jack Anderson: No... no... no!!! This isn't fair! Where are d'Artois' bodyguards!?! ["Daterape" by Sublime plays.] FRANCINE: Here is your winner of the match... R A Z O R R O N J E R E M Y ! ! ! ! ! Jim Robson: Yes... RRJ has walked out of here tonight with the win. Jack Anderson: Barely!! Jim Robson: But he has done it, and he is victorious! Jack Anderson: Ohh, but look at poor ol' Robert d'Artois! Jim Robson: What about him? Jack Anderson: He's trying to get to his feet... he just doesn't give up at all. You've got to give him credit for that. Jim Robson: That is a good point. He doesn't give up. But RRJ did walk out with the win here tonight. Jack Anderson: If it weren't for that blimp - whoever that was - it would be a different story, I think. I think d'Artois would be the winner. Jim Robson: d'Artois is calling on the microphone now... a ring attendant is getting it for him. Jack Anderson: See, this guy never gives up. He can barely get up, but he stills has something to say. Hurry up, get him that microphone!! Jim Robson: They are handing it over to him now... [d'Artois grabs the microphone from the ring attendant.] ROBERT D'ARTOIS: That is not justice... I shall not be removed so easily from the Ultimate Wrestling Challenge, the tournament that I made famous. Jeremy, you shall be ashamed... No matter what, my way to the top of the IWF/WOW, to it's World Heavyweight gold shall continue... And nobody shall stand in my way... I am a God, you are men, I deserve everything, and you deserve nothing! [he throws the microphone down as he tries to walk away... but stumbles.] Jim Robson: d'Artois is still determined, but he's in rough shape. Jack Anderson: He still does have a shot at getting a chance at the IWF/WOW World Heavyweight title in the Impendence Day Rumble on day two! =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- IWF/WOW EGOS & ICONS 2001 CONTINUES... Jim Robson: Next is the first of our two main events here at Egos and Icons: New Era. The war between Justin Arcola and Billy Rock comes to a head as the two men will face off in a towel match, with the Intercontinental title on the line. Jack Anderson: We know that Nate McMannis will be the cornerman, holding the towel for Billy Rock. The question remains, who is holding the towel for Justin Arcola? Jim Robson: We're about to find out. But first, lets go backstage to Billy Rock. [Backstage. "Serial Thriller" Billy Rock paces the murky vicinity wearing his wrestling attire. He waves his hand, displaying the area, and speaks ... ] Billy rock: This is familiar. A herd of memories just swept right through me. I remember May 15th, 2001. The War For Territory 2. Yes, there are resemblences. A lot of people, and possibly yourself Justin, are wondering what's so discernable about tonight. How far can we possibly come from where we ended up last time? Is there anywhere left to go? For you Justin, these are the last few feet of direction. I'll persist to do what I've done since the dawn of my I/W arrival. That's not to follow the path. That's to _create it_. I paved yours, Justin, and this is where I've lead you. It didn't have to go this far. You didn't have to cross those extra miles, but in the War For Territory, you staggered off course. That was my fault. I gave you too much of a good thing. Too many _choices_. I left the capacity for too many possibilities. I'm no savior. I'm no God. I make mistakes, and yes, I benefit from them. So what do I do to ensure that this chapter ends with an exclaimation point instead of the misprinted question mark you stamped it with last time? I deprive you of options. I subtract everything that culminated into your reign as I/W Intercontinental Champion. This time you have no choices, Justin. Reach as far as you want. It's out of your hands. And when you climb into that ring tonight, you introduce the bearer of your towel, you should know that there isn't a man above ground whose presence might swerve the pain and the shame that you'll bring home in place of that gold. We're only going through the motions. It's a small matter of _time_. How much of it is your corner man willing to spend watching you bleed, watching you break, and watching you fail? I'm assuming that, shortly, he'll consider that he has better things to do than bang his hands against the ring and cough up futile cheers. So when the pain, the agony ... when _heat_ is too much for you to endure and you struggle to lift your head for that one last draft to cool you down, it'll be there, lying within the crumpled mound of cloth fresh off of whoever's shoulder you're leaning on tonight. I don't keep any veils over my strategy, Justin, 'cause it's just too simple, even if I'm the only one who seems to be able to follow it through. So what exactly will I do to show you I'm right? _Whatever it takes_, Justin. Whatever it takes. [Billy turns his head and looks toward the black curtains. His body quakes with rage as he awaits his cue, and the scene fades back to ringside.] Jim Robson: Billy Rock is set, and so are we. Let's go up to Francine for the introductions. _____ ___ ___ | ____( _ ) |_ _|-=-=-=-=-=-=-= IWF/WOW EGOS & ICONS 2001 -=-=-=-=-=-=-= | _| / _ \/\| | IWF/WOW INTERCONTINENTAL TITLE MATCH | |__| (_> <| | Justin Arcola vs Billy Rock |_____\___/\/___|=-=-=-=-=-=-=- IWF/WOW EGOS & ICONS 2001 =-=-=-=-=-=-=- ------------------------> WRITER: Wade Thompson <----------------------- FRANCINE: The following contest is our first main event of the evening! [Crowd pops] FRANCINE: This match will be a TOWEL MATCH FOR THE IWF/WOW INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP!!!! [Louder crowd pop] FRANCINE: Introducing first, the challenger... ["WHATEVER IT TAKES" by P.O.D is spit through the loudspeakers. A throbbing roar culminates from the fans ... ] FRANCINE: About to enter the ring, accompanied by "Suicidal" Nate McMannis, from Little Rock, Arkansas, standing 6 feet 4 inches and weighing 244 pounds, here is ... THE "SERIAL THRILLER" BILLY ROCK!!!!! [A silhouette confirming the ring announcers description fills the mouth of the aisle. The figure remains idle with his entire body cocked nearly sideways. His head remains bowed in the shroud of darkness even as the blend of icy blue and orange spotlights tint his burly, carved physique. Then, in unision with the first string of lyrics, the "Serial Thriller" Billy Rock snaps his head backward, whipping the damp, caramel shaded hair from his face. He ominously twists his neck, turning his face toward the aisle, his lips smudged with a grim curl. Dark blonde fur circles his mouth and traces his jaw bone from ear to ear. He calmly drops one foot in front and visually interrogates his surroundings, then walks the aisle. Billy's chest heaves menacingly as the camera spirals around him. His hands are taped heavily from knuckles to forearm. The light bounces off the gleaming material of his black, thigh length tights. The front of these tights display a confederate flag emblem, sans the orange background. Like you might find on a pair of mudflaps, both outer thighs show the orange shadow of a curvy nude woman wearing a cowboy hat, sitting with her knees bent upward, and arms extended behind her for support, laced in blue. The rear of his tights show a larger replica of the front. Billy wears black knee-pads, and just below these, a pair of white and black cowboy boots ... ] [Upon reaching the ring, Billy perches himself on the apron, and just as the impact of his music erupts, so does he, rising and thrusting his arms over his head in a spectacular moment that also sees a compound of blue and orange columns of fire sprout from each of the four posts. The Serial Thriller climbs through the ropes and awaits the bell ... ] FRANCINE: And his opponent... [The crowd comes to their feet as an olive green floodlight illuminates the entranceway and the opening guitar riff of Megadeth's "No More Mr. Nice Guy" blares over the PA. A small but audible minority cheers in respect amidst the sea of boos.] FRANCINE: About to enter the ring, from Rochester, NY, standing 6 feet 3 inches and weighing 252 pounds, the IWF/WOW Intercontinental Champion, here is ... J U S T I N A R C O L A !!! # I used to be such a sweet, sweet thing # # 'Til they got a hold of me. # # I opened doors for little old ladies # # I helped the blind to see. # # I got no friends 'cause they read the papers. # # They can't be seen with me # # And I'm gettin' real shot down # # And I'm feeling mean. # [Justin Arcola steps out from behind the curtain and pauses at the entranceway, with his head pointed downward. Deep blue flashing spotlights on the bottom of the Giga-Tron accentuate the image as Arcola unstraps the Intercontinental Title from around his waist and holds it at his side. He is clad in loose fitting jeans held up by a studded belt and combat boots. On his upper body is a jet-black leather jacket that covers an IWF/WOW t-shirt. In one sudden movement, he thrusts his right arm up in the air, holding the Intercontinental belt by the strap, and snaps his head up to the sky, smiling as he soaks in both the cheers and boos and actually appears to relish them both.] # No more mister nice guy # # No more mister clean. # # No more mister nice guy # # They say he's sick, he's obscene. # [Arcola drapes the belt on his shoulder and begins a casual march towards the ring, glancing left and right every once in a while to shoot a knowing smile at the fans who are heckling him.] # My dog bit me on the leg today. # # My cat clawed my eye. # # My mom's been thrown out of the social circle. # # My dad's had to hide. # # I went to church incognito. # # When everybody rose # # The reverend Smith, he recognized me, # # Punched me in the nose # # He said, no more, nice guy! # [Arcola steps up to the apron and enters the ring through the ropes. He immediately goes to the nearest turnbuckle and holds his belt up over his head again, pointing to it with his free hand. Visible fans in the shot stand, some to applaud, others to get on his case, but Arcola just laughs at them all. He jumps down and hands the belt to the timekeeper, after which he proceeds to remove his jacket and t-shirt and casually toss them over the ropes to the outside, where they are caught by a crew member. Arcola grabs the microphone from Francine.] JUSTIN ARCOLA: I suppose the question on everyone's minds is "Where is Justin Arcola's corner man?" Well, as this man is one of the most auspicious names in recent memory, I think he deserves his own introduction. Jack Anderson: See? I told you; this guy is going to be awesome! [Arcola turns directly on Rock.] JUSTIN ARCOLA: Are you in sentimental mood, Billy? Let's take a trip down memory lane, shall we? Our destinies did not start off crossed, as you well know. Hell, at one time, we could have actually been allies. But fate intervened on our behalf, and we've made it all the way here. However, every once in a while, I look back to see what started us on this runaway train. You see, when I was in the process of selecting a corner man, I had to search far and wide to find just the right person for the job, the man with whom I had the best chance to come out victorious. I had to keep in mind that he held my title, which means more to me than anything else I've ever done in the business, in his hands. I needed someone I could trust not to throw in the towel, no matter what happened. But then I rationalized that I couldn't really trust anyone on that face alone. I thought, it's probably better to find the one guy who stands the least to gain from you winning the Intercontinental Title. JUSTIN ARCOLA: Then it hit me. I could trust someone who hates you with a burning passion that will override any sense of necessity to protect my well-being. Someone who would watch me die in this ring before he hands the Intercontinental Title over to you. Where oh where could I find such a person? Well, I didn't have to look long. Jack Anderson: Who could it be? Jim Robson: I don't have the faintest idea. JUSTIN ARCOLA: Yeah, believe it or not, Rock, there's someone in this world who hates you more than I do, and with good reason. The wrongs you have enacted on this man are beyond measure, and it's time to reap the seeds you have sown. This is a man with whom you've collided in and out of the ring, and on one occasion, you tried to end his life. Jack Anderson: Uh-oh...I think I'm getting a clue. JUSTIN ARCOLA: Let me place the emphasis on "tried", Billy. You see, he was not permanently paralyzed, and thanks to a fantastic rehab program, he has resumed walking once more. You didn't know that, of course, because as soon as he was out of your life, you erased him from your memory. But I kept in touch with this man, checked on him every week to see how he was doing. And when he heard about this match...well, he and I both decided that being in my corner tonight...was _his_ destiny. So, without any further ado, let me be the first to welcome back to the IWF/WOW, from Las Vegas, Nevada... [The crowd starts to buzz.] JUSTIN ARCOLA: The single most lethal and cold-hearted man to ever grace a wrestling ring...a former IWF/WOW Intercontinental Champion, and my corner man for the night... The Cold-Blooded Thriller himself... JOHNNY...SPADES!!!!! Jack Anderson: YEAH! [Purple strobe lights flash throughout the arena as Mobb Deep's "Drop a Gem on Em", a song the audience never thought they'd hear again, brings them to their feet in alarm. The curtain parts to reveal none other than Spades himself, decked out in classic Spades style, walking somewhat stiffly. His hair is slicked back into a short ponytail, and he pauses in the entranceway to rub his goatee and slip his sunglasses down on his nose. Draped over his shoulder is Justin Arcola's Syracuse Orangemen towel.] Jim Robson: Can you believe it? Johnny Spades is back! Jack Anderson: HA HA! How fitting is _this_? Rock ended Spades' career when he took the Intercontinental Title from him this past April, and now Spades has come back to make sure Rock doesn't get it back! [DING!! DING!! DING!!] Jim Robson: There's the bell, and this match is underway. Justin Arcola and Billy Rock, the hatred for each other is evident as they look at each other in the ring. Jack Anderson: McMannis may as well throw in Rock's towel now, and save him the ass kicking Justin Arcola is going to lay on him. Jim Robson: No chance of that happening. The hatred these two men have for each other won't allow either of them to quit. We could be here all night. Jack Anderson: I wouldn't mind that, as long as we were watching Arcola beat the crap out of Rock the whole time. Jim Robson: The two men move together, nose to nose. You can feel the intensity in the packed Corel Center, here in Ottawa. I wish I knew what these two men were saying to each other, but whatever it is it looks like a heated discussion! Jack Anderson: You and I might want to know, but I bet the FCC and CRTC are glad those two aren't miked! Jim Robson: BILLY ROCK JUST DRILLED ARCOLA WITH A RIGHT HAND!! ARCOLA RETURNS THE BLOW, AND THE FIGHT IS ON!! Back and forth they go, look at the punches fly!!! Jack Anderson: Neither man backing down. This is true toe to toe brawling! Jim Robson: They've thrown about fifteen punches each at this point, and neither has gained an advantage!!... THUMB TO THE EYE BY ARCOLA!! Rock steps back and Arcola pounces!! Arcola driving his elbow into the jaw of Rock!! Arcola grabs Billy Rock and... LET'S HIM FLY WITH AN OVERHEAD BELLY TO BELLY SUPLEX!!! Jack Anderson: Throw the towel McMannis, save Rock from the beating!! Jim Robson: There's no way McMannis is going to throw that towel! [A shot of McMannis holding the Arkansas Razorback towel of Billy Rock is shown, and then the screen cuts to a shot of Johnny Spades with Arcola's Syracuse Orangemen towel. Both are watching the match intently.] Jim Robson: Arcola lifts Rock and kicks him in the abdomen. Arcola grabs Rock... Stomach Breaker!!! Justin Arcola stands and stomps away at the midsection of Billy Rock, trying to knock the wind out of him and wear him down!! Jack Anderson: Sound strategy. Jim Robson: Arcola lifts Rock and props him in the corner. Arcola starts kicking away at Rock, stomping him unmercilessly!! Arcola looks over at McMannis and tells him to throw the towel. McMannis shakes his head as Arcola turns back... RIGHT INTO A BOOT TO THE JAW BY BILLY ROCK!!... CLOTHESLINE TAKES ARCOLA DOWN!!! Now it's Billy Rock pounding away at Arcola!! Rock kneels over top of Arcola and starts pounding away at his forehead!!! Jack Anderson: These two guys just plain despise each other. You can tell by how this match has started. It's all like a bar fight!! Jim Robson: Rock lifts Arcola and whips him into the ropes... SPINEBUSTER!!! Tremendous impact!! Rock lifts Arcola... AND WHIPS HIM HIGH OVER THE TOP ROPE AND TO THE FLOOR!!! Rock follows Arcola out and goes right after him. Rock lifts Arcola... AND SLAMS HIS FACE OFF OF THE GUARDRAIL!! Rock grabs Arcola again and scoops him up over his shoulder... ARCOLA GOES HEAD FIRST INTO THE GUARDRAIL COURTESY OF BILLY ROCK!!! Jack Anderson: The man is an animal!! Where's he going? Jim Robson: Rock walks around the side of the ring... He has the ring steps!! Rock lifts the steps and comes back around the corner as Arcola is staggering to his feet... [SMASH!!!!] Crowd: OOOHH!! Jim Robson: BILLY ROCK JUST DECKED JUSTIN ARCOLA WITH THE RING STEPS!!!... What's he doing now?... [SMASH!!!!!!!!!] Crowd: OOOOOOOOOOHHH!!! Jim Robson: OH MY GAWD!!!! BILLY ROCK JUST THREW THE STEPS DOWN ACROSS THE LEGS OF JUSTIN ARCOLA!!! Arcola is rolling around the floor of the Corel Center in pain... And he's been opened up Jack!! Justin Arcola has been opened up early in this match!! Jack Anderson: This isn't a good thing. Jim Robson: Not if you're Justin Arcola, but if you're Billy Rock you're a happy man right now. Jack Anderson: That's because he's a sick bastard!! Jim Robson: Rock lifts the stairs again... [SMASH!!!!!!!!!!!!] Jim Robson: Down across Arcola's legs AGAIN!!! Now where's he going? Rock goes over to the timekeeper's table... HE HAS A CHAIR!! ROCK HAS A CHAIR!!!... [CRACK!!! CRACK!!! CRACK!!!] Crowd: ROCK!! ROCK!! ROCK!! Jim Robson: THREE!! COUNT'EM THREE CHAIR SHOTS TO THE LEGS OF JUSTIN ARCOLA!!! Jack Anderson: He looks like he's trying to break his legs!! I told you he's a sick bastard!! Jim Robson: Arcola is trying to get away from Rock, but the pain that must be shooting through his legs right now must be unbearable!! Rock moves over near Arcola's head, and butt ends him in the forehead with the chair!!! Jack Anderson: This is sick!! Jim Robson: Rock yells at Spades to throw the towel, and walks over towards him. Jack Anderson: Hernandez!! Don't let Rock near Spades!! Spades is in no condition to have to deal with Billy Rock dammit!! Jim Robson: Rock appears to be content in yelling at Spades, who refuses to throw the towel. Rock turns back and walks over to Arcola. Rock lifts Arcola and scoops him up... Rock spins and slams Arcola's legs off of the ring post!! AND SLAMS HIM ACROSS THE RING STEPS!!! Billy Rock is savagely beating Arcola!! Jack Anderson: Isn't there some way Miguel Hernandez can disqualify Rock? Jim Robson: I'm afraid not Jack. Rock grabs Arcola... LOW BLOW!!! VICIOUS LOW BLOW BY JUSTIN ARCOLA BUYS HIM SOME TIME!!! Jack Anderson: Fantastic counter!! Jim Robson: Billy Rock is writhing in pain, and Arcola is down as well, but trying to get up. Arcola wearing the "crimson mask", trying to pull himself up, using the ring steps. Arcola is up on his feet, but doesn't look too stable! Jack Anderson: Would you be stable if you'd had the steps thrown down on your legs, as well as repeated chair shots, and YOU'D been slammed on those same steps? Jim Robson: I'd be in traction. Arcola reaches down and grabs the steel chair... And Arcola falls back down, unable to support his own weight!! Billy Rock is getting to his knees... [CRACK!!!] Jim Robson: ARCOLA JUST NAILED BILLY ROCK BETWEEN THE EYES WITH THAT CHAIR, FROM HIS BACK!! [CRACK!!! CRACK!!!] Jim Robson: TWO MORE SHOTS DROP BILLY ROCK!!! Justin Arcola once again trying to get to his feet. He's pulling himself up using the ring apron, and now finally makes it. Arcola walks down the side of the ring, trying to walk off some of the pain in his legs. Justin Arcola moves away from the apron, walking on his own power, but visibly favouring his right leg! Jack Anderson: That leg must have taken the brunt of the blows!! Jim Robson: Arcola reaches down and grabs a hold of that chair again. Arcola swings... [CRACK!!!!] Jim Robson: OH MY WORD!!! A VICIOUS SWINGING CHAIR SHOT CATCHES BILLY ROCK IN THE SIDE OF THE HEAD!! Jack Anderson: Sweet!! Jim Robson: But Billy Rock is a "sick bastard" huh? Jack Anderson: Turnabout is fair play. Jim Robson: Arcola lifts Rock... Who is also now bleeding from the forehead, and rolls him into the ring. Arcola rolls in and grabs Rock's legs... SCORPION DEATHLOCK!!! Jack Anderson: That's a Sharpshooter. Jim Robson: Same thing. Arcola using the Scorpion Deathlock to try and entice McMannis to throw in Rock's towel, and I'm sure to wear him down as well as rest. [Crowd POPS!!] Jack Anderson: What the hell is this? [COUNTDOWN TO TOMORROW has appeared on the video-screen! Followed by a very familiar countdown that the crowd counts along with loudly! 5... 4... 3... =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- IWF/WOW EGOS & ICONS 2001 CONTINUES... 2... 1!!!! She's carrying a BARBED WIRE BASEBALL BAT! THE CROWD GOTS ABSOLUTELY NUTS!] Jim Robson: Natalie Rose Rogan is coming down to ringside, carrying a baseball bat wrapped in barbed wire!! Jack Anderson: She's been hanging out with Lumski and Fleur too long. Now Rogan is interfering in matches she's not a part of!! Jim Robson: Arcola releases the Scorpion Deathlock and walks over to the ropes. He's looking at Rogan coming down the aisle, wondering like we are, why she's coming out here, especially with that bat!! Jack Anderson: Justin!! Behind you!! Jim Robson: Rock is up, and Arcola turns... SPEAR BY BILLY ROCK!!! Rock lifts Arcola... KNEE TO THE GROIN BY ARCOLA!!! That's the second time he's gone below the belt in this match!! Crowd: OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHH!!!!! Jim Robson: NATALIE ROGAN JUST WHACKED JUSTIN ARCOLA IN THE LEGS WITH THAT BARBED WIRE BASEBALL BAT!!! Jack Anderson: Get that bitch out of here!!! Jack Anderson: She had no business being down here, and now look what she's done!! Arcola dn Rock are both bleeding already, they don't NEED a baseball bat covered in barbed wire!! He doesn't look like he's even thinking of throwing in that towel. Billy Rock takes a couple of more shots at Arcola's head, and now throws the bat aside. What's Rock doing? He's reaching into his trunks... And he pulls out a pouch. Jack Anderson: What's he got in there?... OH NO!! Is that SALT!?!?!? Jim Robson: You know what? I think it is!! BILLY ROCK JUST POURED SALT ON THE OPEN WOUNDS OF JUSTIN ARCOLA!!!! ARCOLA IS SCREAMING IN AGONY!!! Jack Anderson: Spades looks a little more concerned now! Jim Robson: And McMannis is over here, loving every minute of what he sees!! Rock grabs Arcola and lifts him. Rock scoops Arcola up over his shoulder... SITDOWN TOMBSTONE PILEDRIVER!!! You know, I don't know if Arcola even felt that piledriver... He's STILL clutching at his forehead!!! Jack Anderson: Have you ever put salt on an open wound? It's extremely painful!! Jim Robson: Yes I have, and I know how painful it is! Rock has more of that salt... He's pouring on his hand, which is also covered in blood... CLAW HOLD!!! BILLY ROCK HAS A CLAW HOLD APPLIED TO ARCOLA WITH HIS SALT COVERED HAND!!! Jack Anderson: I'm almost tempted to plead with Spades to throw in the towel! This is inhuman!! Jim Robson: Rock continues to apply the pressure with that claw hold... Wait, now he's letting go... Rock is rubbing the blood and salt mixture up his forearms... What's he up to... Oh my!!! CANADIAN CROSSFACE!!! BILLY ROCK IS USING JUSTIN ARCOLA'S OWN MOVE AGAINST HIM!!!! Jack Anderson: And not only that, but he is also forcing even more salt into the open wounds of Justin Arcola!!! Jim Robson: Justin Arcola appears to be in an intense amount of pain, but still Johnny Spades looks like he has no intention of throwing in Arcola's towel. Billy Rock is really cinching that hold in, and continutes to apply as much pressure as humanly possible!! Rock is leaning with all he's got, trying to make Arcola scream for mercy!! Rock looking over at Johnny Spades, but Spades is standing absolutely still, refusing to throw in the towel. Jack Anderson: Spades knows Arcola can take more, so why give up for him? Jim Robson: Rock releases the hold. Rock gets to his feet and bounces off the ropes... SPADES GRABBED ROCK'S LEG!!! Jack Anderson: No he didn't, Rock tripped. Jim Robson: Nice try jack. Rock turns and leans through the ropes, going after Spades... OOOH WHAT A RIGHT HAND BY JOHNNY SPADES!!! That shot caught Billy Rock, and he falls back into the ring. Rock shakes his head and gets back up. He turns towards Arcola and swings a right hand... DUCKED BY ARCOLA!! Arcola hooks Rock... HEAD AND ARM SUPLEX!!!! DID YOU SEE THE IMPACT ON THAT ONE!!! BILLY ROCK NEARLY LANDED ON THE TOP OF HIS HEAD!!! Jack Anderson: Too bad it was only NEARLY on the top of his head!! Jim Robson: Justin Arcola slowly stands and lifts Rock by his right arm... ARCOLA DROPS HIM BACK DOWN WITH A JUMPING ARM BREAKER!!! Arcola starting to go after Rock's shoulder to set up the Crossface, just like we saw in the War for Territory match at End of the World. Arcola stands and starts stomping away at the shoulder!! Arcola lifts Rock and whips him into the corner... REVERSED!!!... Arcola hits the buckle hard!!! Rock charges... SPEAR IN THE CORNER!!... NO!!! ARCOLA MOVED, AND ROCK'S RIGHT SHOULDER HIT THE RINGPOST!!! [Crowd POPS] Jack Anderson: What the hell is with that!?!? Jim Robson: McMannis just whacked Arcola over the head with his cane!! Jack Anderson: What the hell is he doing? Jim Robson: Retaliating for Spades' interference I'm sure. Jack Anderson: That's bogus!! Jim Robson: What is it you said earlier? Turnabout is fair play? Jack Anderson: Shut up! Jim Robson: Rock is the first one up, trying to work out the pain in his shoulder. He lifts Arcola... ANOTHER LOW BLOW BY ARCOLA!!! Arcola drills Rock with a right hand!! Now Arcola grabs Rock's right arm and pulls him into a corner. Arcola slides under the bottom rope and to the floor. Arcola grabs Rock's arm and pulls him further into the corner... ARCOLA WRAPS ROCK'S RIGHT ARM AROUND THE RINGPOST!! Jack Anderson: BREAK IT!! Jim Robson: Arcola grabs Rock's other arm and pulls Rock so that his right shoulder is in line with the ring post... ARCOLA PULLS ROCK, SENDING HIS SHOULDER CRASHING INTO THE POST!!! Jack Anderson: That had to hurt!! Arcola used the ring for leverage, and Rock hit the post HARD!! Jim Robson: Arcola walks around the ring and grabs the chair that got so much use earlier... Now what? Arcola has stopped. He throws that chair into the ring, but something else has caught his eye... THE BARBED WIRE BASEBALL BAT!! Jack Anderson: Yes!! Retaliate!! Jim Robson: Arcola grabs the bat and rolls into the ring. Arcola lifts Rock to his feet, and drills a series of right hands into the shoulder of Billy Rock. Arcola grabs Rock's right arm... ARCOLA JUMPS OVER THE TOP ROPE AND WRENCHES ROCK'S RIGHT ARM ON THE TOP ROPE!!!! But Arcola did some damage to himself too, hurting the leg Rock worked on earlier!! Jack Anderson: He looks like he's getting up though, thank goodness! Jim Robson: Arcola rolls back into the ring... And he has that bat!! Rock is on his feet, and Arcola swings!!! Crowd: OOOOOOH!! Jim Robson: Rock takes a shot to the upper arm with that bat!! AND ANOTHER!!! AND A THIRD!!! FOURTH!!! AND THERE'S ONE TO THE HEAD!!! Rock goes down hard!! Arcola drops the bat and walks over to Rock... CANADIAN CROSSFACE!!! ARCOLA HAS IT APPLIED, AND RIGHT IN FRONT OF NATE MCMANNIS!!! Jack Anderson: Look at the pain etched in Rock's face!! McMannis is going to have to throw it in!! Look at Johnny Spades, screaming for Arcola to tear the tendons in Rock's shoulder and neck. The man wants some revenge, and he's living through Arcola!! Jim Robson: Arcola rares back and pulls with all he's got!! Rock is screaming in pain, but still McMannis holds onto the towel. Rock is now swinging his feet around... He has his left foot on the bottom rope, but that means nothing in this match!! Arcola continues to apply the pressure of the Canadian Crossface on Billy Rock!! Jack Anderson: I don't think he'll be able to take much more!! Jim Robson: Arcola just let go of the hold!! Arcola lifts Rock to his feet... GERMAN SUPLEX!!! Arcola lets go and gets up, lifting Rock with him again... DRAGON SUPLEX!!! Arcola lets go again!! He lifts Rock and hooks him... BELLY TO BACK SUPLEX!!! Arcola rolls Rock over... CANADIAN CROSSFACE AGAIN!!! Jack Anderson: He hit him with those suplexes to further weaken the neck and shoulders of Billy Rock, and has gone right back to that punishing hold!! Jim Robson: Look at McMannis! He's actually starting to look as though he may throw that towel in!! Jack Anderson: If only Arcola weren't turned the other way!! He would be able to see McMannis is close, and really oull back on that crossface!! Jim Robson: Arcola continues to apply his Crossface. McMannis is really considering throwing in the towel for Billy Rock!!... Who the?... [A man comes on screen and attacks McMannis from behind, sending his face first into the ringpost] Jim Robson: MATTHEW REASON!!! MATTHEW REASON JUST DRILLED MCMANNIS FROM BEHIND!! Reason lifts McMannis and sest him up... POWER BOMB ON THE FLOOR!!! Reason is pulling back the mats that cover the concrete now!! He pulls McMannis over to the bare area of the floor and sets him up... PILEDRIVER ON THE CONCRETE!!! Jack Anderson: Hahahaha!! If anyone deserves a beat down it's THAT clown!! Jim Robson: McMannis is unconscious!! Reason just grabbed the towel from McMannis and holds it in the air!! Jack Anderson: Throw it in!! Throw it in!! Jim Robson: He's not going to throw it... He just pulled out a... MATTHEW REASON IS BURNING BILLY ROCK'S TOWEL!!!! That towel is buring away!! Jack Anderson: How can they throw in the towel for Rock if he doesn't have one? Jim Robson: They can't!! Matthew Reason has just made sure that Bily Rock cannot quit, no matter what!! Jack Anderson: But that also means he can't lose!! Jim Robson: I suppose it does... Justin Arcola is unaware, but Johnny Spades is. He's telling Arcola to break Rock's neck!! Arcola looks back towards the spot McMannis was and doesn't see him!! Arcola releases the hold and gets to his feet. Arcola walks over to that side of the ring, and sees McMannis down on the concrete, and the last remnants of Rock's towel burning away. Reason is walking back up the aisle, as Arcola looks on. Jack Anderson: What the hell is he supposed to do now? Jim Robson: Arcola is talking to Spades, and now Miguel Hernandez. Arcola is unsure of what to do, and it doesn't look like Hernandez is being much help to him. Arcola grabs Rock and lifts him... LOW BLOW BY ROCK!!! BILLY ROCK JUST RETURNED THE FAVOUR ON JUSTIN ARCOLA!!! Jack Anderson: What a cheap... Jim Robson: Don't even bother. Billy Rock with a right to the head!! And another!! Rock stands and grabs Arcola... 180 DEGREE NECKBREAKER!!! Rock stands and lifts Arcola... DDT!!!! Rock stands and lifts Arcola again. Rock scoops Arcola up and over his shoulder. Rock walks over to the near corner and... He's climbing the ropes!!! Rock is climbing the ropes!!! OH NO!! HE WOULDN'T!! Jack Anderson: HE'S NOT GOING TO... Jim Robson: Rock looks over at Spades and yells at him to throw in the towel! Spades shakes his head no!! Rock slides Arcola into position... SITDOWN TOMBSTONE PILEDRIVER OFF THE TOP ROPE AND TO THE CANVAS!!!! [HOLY SHIT POP!!!] Jim Robson: JUSTIN ARCOLA IS OUT OF IT!! Billy Rock yells at Spades to throw in the towel. Spades still shaking his head no. Rock lifts Arcola, and scoops him up over his shoulder... HE'S HEADING FOR THE ROPES AGAIN!!! ROCK CLIMBING THE ROPES WITH ARCOLA ON HIS SHOULDER!!! Rock looks at Spades, who is still defiant!! ROCK LOWERS ARCOLA INTO POSITION!!!.... LOOK OUT JACK!!!!!!!! [MASSIVE HOLY SHIT POP!!!!] Jack Anderson: THAT CRAZY SON OF A BITCH!!! Jim Robson: IN ALL MY YEARS I HAVE NEVER SEEN THAT!!! BILLY ROCK JUST PERFORMED A SITDOWN PILEDRIVER FROM THE TOP ROPE AND STRAIGHT THROUGH OUR ANNOUNCE TABLE!!!! IT'LL BE A BLOODY MIRACLE IF ARCOLA EVER GETS UP FROM THIS!!! WHAT CARNAGE!!! Jack Anderson: Look at Johnny Spades' face! He can't believe what Rock just did!!! Jim Robson: Billy Rock is starting to get up... He lifts Arcola and scoops him over his shoulder again. Rock rolls Arcola into the ring, and rolls in himself. Rock looks at Spades, who is still holding that Syracuse University towel. Rock lifts Arcola and scoops him up over his shoulder!!! He can't be serious!! Rock is heading for the corner, looking at Spades the entire time. Rock starts to climb. He is standing with a foot on the top, and Justin Arcola over his shoulder! Rock is pointing at the ring steps that he used early in the match!! Jack Anderson: He wouldn't!! That could kill Arcola!! Jim Robson: Rock looks down at Spades. Spades is shaking his head no again!!! C'mon Johnny!! Don't let this happen!!! Rock gets up and lowers Arcola... Spades is yelling for Rock to wait!! What's going on?... Spades is thinking as Rock stands poised to lepa to the floor once again... SPADES THREW THE TOWEL!!! SPADES THREW THE TOWEL!!! SPADES THREW THE TOWEL!!! SPADES THREW THE TOWEL!!! [DING!!!! DING!!!! DING!!!!] Jack Anderson: DAMMIT!!! Jim Robson: Spades had no choice!! That move could have ended Arcola's career or worse!! Hell, who knows how he is after being put through our table with a sitdown tombstone piledriver from the top rope!!! Jack Anderson: That sadistic son of a bitch!! Jim Robson: Rock brings Arcola down and drops him on the mat. Arcola is unconscious as EMTs rush to ringside to tend to him, and a couple are over looking at McMannis too. The end result is two men down and out, and a new 2-time Intercontinental Champion!! And here come Lumksi, Fleur, and Rogan to celebrate with Billy Rock. Billy Rock collapses into their arms as the get into the ring. Hernandez is handing Rock the title. FRANCINE: The winner of this bout... AND NEW IWF/WOW INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPION!!!... "THE SERIAL THRILLER" BILLY ROCK!!! [The crowd cheer as "WHATEVER IT TAKES" by P.O.D plays through the loudspeakers.] Jim Robson: What an intense match!! Spades is in the ring checking on Arcola... Rock sees him. Rock walks over and spins Spades... BILLY ROCK LEVELS JOHNNY SPADES WITH THE INTERCONTINENTAL TITLE!!! Returning the favour for the shot he took earlier in the match!! Jack Anderson: That was unneccessary!!! Jim Robson: Wow, what a night it has been. Jack Anderson: And with St. Clair versus Travers still to come, it can only get wilder! Jim Robson: Hold on a moment, The large man who attacked Lugen Karnovasch and Alexander Dubois earlier tonight has been spotted backstage! We have cameras being stationed as we speak and we'll take you back there shortly... Jack Anderson: No! Don't show the extremely fat guy anymore. He'll make all of us go blind with his wave of blubber!! [The cameras go to the back. The obese man in glasses is giggling as he waddles down the hallway, until he is stopped by Anthony Edwards and his trusty microphone. The man has an enormous sweatstain all over his purple shirt from the attack earlier tonight.] Obese Man: (in a very nasal, annoying voice) Pardon me! I would like to get by now... Anthony Edwards: Not until you give me some answers, sir. Who are you? Why did you interfere in the Ultimate Wrestling Challenge and attack Robert d'Artois' bodyguards? Obese Man: I don't have to answer you...I'm famous, now if you'll excuse me! Anthony Edwards: You're famous? I've never seen you before in my life! [Razor Ron Jeremy enters with Bootie in his right hand and a kendo stick in his left. He has a bandage over his forehead.] Razor Ron Jeremy: JARED!! Why the hell are you heckling Anthony Edwards?! Big Jared: Because I can! I don't need you telling me what to do anymore, Ron. I already beat up two bodyguards for you tonight. I'm not in debt to you anymore. Now if you will please let me pass. Anthony Edwards: So this man was doing you a favor, RRJ? RRJ: He had to if was to keep needing a chunk of my paycheck. Big Jared: Excuse me..."this man"?? How dare you refer to me that way! Don't you recognize me? Because you ought to. I'm more famous than you are. Anthony Edwards: I'm sorry but I have never se... Big Jared: (interrupting) Ugh! Why don't I just spell it all out for you? My name is Jared Fogle and _I_ lost 245 pounds eating healthy Subway sandwiches every day. Anthony Edwards: Uh....you did? RRJ: You lost 245 pounds last week when you shot your last commercial, after a routine lipo suction that _I_ paid for in my monthly donation to the fat camp I went to when I was 12!! And then following your last shoot, that blood addiction to Ho-Ho's that flows through your veins kicked in, and now you're back to your normal behemoth self until I come along with my change purse when it's time to shoot your next commercial; and then, it's time to suck out all the Ho-Ho's all over again! Therefore, if you wanna _stay_ famous, you forever remain indebted to ME!! Big Jared: Oh shut up! RRJ: No you shut up! Big Jared: You!! RRJ: Dammit Big Jared, If you're so damn famous why don't you go back in your trailer? Call me when you finally fit inside... Big Jared: Hey! RRJ: And stop trying so act to damn tough. You have the personality of a rock and everybody knows it!! [Razor Ron Jeremy storms off.] Big Jared: (yelling at him down the hallway) That's not true! Can a man with a personality of a rock walk like this? [He starts to walk like he walks down the street in one of the Subway commercials we've all seen. He sings his blues song as he waddles down the hallway.] Big Jared: I'm still lookin' good, wa-wa, wa-wa... I'll show you the way, wa-wa, wa-wa... My name is Jared! And I'll lead you to Subway, wa-wa, wa-wa! [Anthony Edwards simply stares at Big Jared as he struts his stuff down the hallway.] Anthony Edwards: (dumbfounded) Jim Robson, Jack Anderson, back to you. Jack Anderson: That's Jared from the Subway commercials?! That can't be! He's supposed to be super skinny after eating all those sandwiches!! He doesn't look like that, but I know I'm not seeing things. Jim Robson: Sounds like the attack on Lugen Karnovasch and Alexander Dubois by Big Jared was a repay Razor Ron Jeremy for his contributions to his...was it lipo suction? Jack Anderson: This is just a little too absurd for me. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- IWF/WOW EGOS & ICONS 2001 CONTINUES... [The roofed, chain linked cage begins descends as a roar gusts through the arena.] Jim Robson: What an unprecented night it's been, Jack, and by God, it's not over yet. We're just a few seconds away from our second main event right here at Egos and Icons, and it's the big one. "Epic" Eric Travers, patriarch of the Trifecta, the most despised tribe of wrestlers in I/W history, is putting his IWF/WOW World Heavyweight Title reign in jeopardy tonight against "The Headliner" Shane St. Clair. He's certainly lived up to that nickname. Jack Anderson: Am I the first person to ask what the hell St. Clair has done to deserve this? He dropped a defenseless woman from a balcony and he's suddenly a top contender? Jim Robson: Officially he earned the shot after winning the Stairway to Hell match at End of the World 5. I'll never forget the image of St. Clair spearing _both_ Maverick and Commissioner McMannis from the Gig-a-tron. Jack Anderson: Make no mistake about it, St. Clair brings his balls with him to every match. He unfortunately leaves his brain behind. The dumbest thing he could've ever done was make an enemy of Eric Travers and make it personal by putting Tricial Lane in the hospital. Jim Robson: Well, the anticipation is killing me. How about some introductions from Francine? _____ ___ ___ | ____( _ ) |_ _|-=-=-=-=-=-=-= IWF/WOW EGOS & ICONS 2001 -=-=-=-=-=-=-= | _| / _ \/\| | IWF/WOW WORLD TITLE MATCH | |__| (_> <| | Eric Travers vs Shane St. Clair |_____\___/\/___|=-=-=-=-=-=-=- IWF/WOW EGOS & ICONS 2001 =-=-=-=-=-=-=- ---------------------------> WRITER: Brian <---------------------------- [Francine stands outside the cage, which is now completely boxing in the ring.] FRANCINE: Ladies and gentlemen, this CAGE MATCH is for the IWF/WOW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP!!! [POP!!!] ["Ultra Mega" by Powerman 5000 begins to play over the loudspeakers. A mixed, but LOUD reaction ensues.] FRANCINE: About to enter the ring, from Jacksonville, FL standing 6 feet 1 inches and weighing 270 pounds, here is ... "T H E H E A D L I N E R" ... S H A N E S T. CLAIR!!!!! [Shane St. Clair steps out from behind the curtain. Red pyro's flare on all sides as he moves down the ramp way. He has a pair of yellow thigh length wrestling tights with Headliner across the back. His hair sandy brown hair is wet down, and is plastered across his forehead. He has calf high black wrestling boots with, yellow tassels down the side. His wrist are wrapped in black athletic tape. Water glistens off his massive upper body, the veins pumping out from underneath the surface of the skin. He arrives at ring side, and climbs through the cage door. He raises up looking at all the fans, then steps through the top and middle rope. St. Clair walks to his corner and crosses his arms awaiting the bell...] [The crowd stand in anticipation and a mixed pop erupts throughout the arena as Tricia Lane's voice echoes through the sound system, and the lights fade to black in the arena.] TRICIA LANE: In Gold, he's Epic! In Black... HE'S UNBEATABLE!!! [The mixed pop continues as "Sad But True" by Metallica blares through the sound system. A single gold spotlight shines on the entrance, and as the second guitar riff of the song begins, Eric Travers steps through the curtain. Travers is dressed in his black wrestling gear, consisting of black trunks, black boots, and black elbow and knee pads. Travers also has the IWF/WOW World Heavyweight Title strapped around his waist. Unlike other times we've seen Travers in black, this time his face shows emotion. There is a look of anger, and pure hatred on Travers' face as he begins his walk down the aisle. Travers is followed by The Choir Master, who is apparantly filling in for the absent Tricia Lane.] FRANCINE: Accompanied to the ring by The Choir Master. From Toronto, Ontario. He stands six feet, two inches tall and weighs in at two hundred and sixty-seven pounds... He is THE IWF/WOW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION!!! " E P I C " ... E R I C T R A V E R S!!!!! [Travers continues his steady march down the aisle, staring a hole through Shane St Clair. Travers reaches the cage, and unhooks the title. He hands the belt to the Choir Master and climbs into the ring, making a bee line for St Clair.] DING DING DING Jack Anderson: HE'S IN BLACK TONIGHT, JIM! HE'S _UNBEATABLE_! Jim Robson: TRAVERS IS ON ST. CLAIR LIKE UGLY ON BOWLING SHOES! ST. CLAIR IS SWINGING BACK, FIGHTING OUT OF THE CORNER THROUGH TRAVER'S FURY! [The fans are going NUTS!] Jim Robson: TRAVERS THRUSTS HIS KNEE INTO ST. CLAIR'S ABDOMEN! SHOVES HIM BACK IN THE CORNER AND STOMPS HIM INTO A SITTING POSITION! TRAVERS BACKS TO THE CENTER OF THE RING ... AND CHARGES!! HE HITS A LOW DROPKICK RIGHT INTO ST. CLAIR'S STERNUM! THE INTENSITY IS OFF THE CHART, JACK! Jack Anderson: So is your blood pressure, man! Settle down! Jim Robson: You might want to offer the same piece of advice to Travers. He's ... my God, he's BITING St. Clair's forehead! He lifts him up and shoves him back against the turnbuckle. REVERSE KNIFE-EDGE CHOP! [Fans: WHOOOOOOOOOO!!!] Jim Robson: Again! [Fans: WHOOOOOOOOOO!!!] Jim Robson: AND ANOTHER! [Fans: WHOOOOOOOOOO!!!] Jim Robson: Travers shoots St. Clair across the ring! REVERSAL BY ST. CLAIR! TRAVERS IS _AIRBORN_!! [KLANG!!!!] Jim Robson: HE FLIPS OVER THE TOP TURNBUCKLE AND COLLIDES WITH THE WALL OF THE CAGE! TRAVERS LANDS ON THE APRON HEAD FIRST! Jack Anderson: Look at his back! He's got trails of blood running the entire length of it after sliding down the cage! Jim Robson: St. Clair is stomping away at Travers head through the ropes! He reaches over the top and pulls Travers to his feet. Now he's pulling him by the air across the apron. HEAD FIRST HE GOES INTO THE OTHER WALL! ST. CLAIR STILL HAS HIM BY THE HAIR AND PULLS HIM BACKWARD OVER THE TOP ROPE! He presses Travers over his head AND THROWS HIS ENTIRE BODY AGAINST THE CAGE! TRAVERS RICOCHETS BACK INTO ST. CLAIR'S ARMS! HE SPINS AROUND AND POWERSLAMS TRAVERS IN THE CENTER OF THE RING! THE COVER! 1 . . . 2 . . . Jim Robson: NO! Travers remains our champion for the time being. St. Clair backs slowly against the ropes for momentum, springs back toward Travers and drops one of those HUGES arms across his neck! Travers grabs his throat and rolls across the canvass. St. Clair looks toward Choir Master and ... well that's not nice. Jack Anderson: That was downright rude. Jim Robson: St. Clair is trying to pace this match now. He doesn't want to get into a battle of stamina with Eric Travers. St. Clair wraps those massive arms around Travers, twists, and hits one of his perfected belly to belly suplexes! Travers bounces off the canvass! What an impact! St. Clair mounts his chest and grabs a clump of hair while he drives a succession of fists against his forehead! Jack Anderson: I hate to say it, but Travers isn't going to win a brawl against St. Clair. He's gotta keep the big man on the floor. Jim Robson: Noticeable is the absence of Tricia Lane. She attempted to make a return against doctors _and_ Eric Travers orders apparently and was welcomed back by Fleur Gardyn with a steel chair. She will, of course, not be with us tonight. Jack Anderson: Why does Lumski have to stick his freakin' nose into problems that don't even concern him? Jurkschat really needs to throw a leash around him, Fleur, and whoever the hell else they decide to invite to I/W. Jim Robson: St. Clair fires Travers across the ring! Travers ducks a big boot attempt! He rebounds and slides between St. Clair's legs! Shane turns around! TRAVERS GRABS HIS SHOULDERS AND KNEES HIM IN THE GROIN!! He shoves St. Clair back against the ropes! SPINEBUSTER! TRAVERS WITH THE COVER! 1 . . . . . 2 . . . . . Jim Robson: NOT QUITE! St. Clair pressed Travers completely off his body and sent him over the referee! Travers returns to capitalize with a flurry of stomps to the back as St. Clair tries returning to his feet. He backs Shane against the corner. [POP!!] Jim Robson: ST. CLAIR BUSTS HIM IN THE MOUTH WITH HIS FOREARM! TRAVERS STAGGERS BACK AND SHANE HOPS TO THE SECOND ROPE! HE LEAPS! OH NO! TRAVERS CAUGHT HIM IN MID-AIR! HE SPINS TOWARD THE ROPES! __HOT SHOT__!!! ST. CLAIR LANDS ON HIS BACK IN MID-RING! Legdrop from Travers! He's now ... well Travers is climbing to the top rope. HE'S AIRBORN! [Flash bulbs begin to pop.] Jim Robson: TRAVERS GRABBED THE TOP OF THE CAGE! HE'S USING THE ROOF AS MONKEY BARS! ST. CLAIR HAS RISEN! HE'S REACHING FOR TRAVERS ANKLES! [Eric Travers dangles from the roof. Shane St. Clair desperately claws at his feet, trying for a firm grip but only manages to slap his heels.] Jim Robson: TRAVERS DROPS AND ... [BOOM!] Jim Robson: ... MY GOD!! [The fans ERUPT!] Jim Robson: ST. CLAIR TURNED A HURRICANRANA ATTEMPT INTO A POWERBOMB!!! HE PUTS BOTH OF TRAVERS LEGS OVER HIS SHOULDERS AND LEANS FORWARD! TRAVERS IS FOLDED IN HALF FOR THE PIN! 1 . . . . . . . . . . 2 . . . . . . . . . . THRRR-- Jack Anderson: DAMMIT! NO! Jim Robson: TRAVERS SHOULDER COMES OFF THE MAT AT THE LAST POSSIBLE SECOND! Jack Anderson: Travers has to do everything in his power to keep the belt from St. Clair! He's so manufactured even BARBIE thinks he's too fake! Jim Robson: St. Clair tucks Travers legs under his arms and ... SLINGSHOT! TRAVERS GOES HEAD FIRST AGAINST THE TOP TURNBUCKLE! ST. CLAIR WRAPS HIS ARMS AROUND HIS WAIST FROM BEHIND! GERMAN SUPLEX! HE STANDS UP, STILL HOLDING ON! HE JERKS TRAVERS INTO THE AIR AND SIMPLY THROWS HIM BACK TO THE MAT! Jack Anderson: I haven't seen something thrown that hard since the World Series scandal with the Chicago "Black" Sox! Jim Robson: St. Clair walks Travers to the ropes by his hair. He SLAMS his head against ... no! Travers blocks it! He jams his elbow into St. Clair's ribs and slams HIS head against the cage! AGAIN! AGAIN! AGAIN! AGAIN! He spins behind St. Clair! Waistlock! He spins again, turning his back against the cage! GOOD GOD! [POP!!] Jim Robson: A GERMAN SUPLEX _AGAINST_ THE CAGE!!! TRAVERS SPINS AROUND WITH ST. CLAIR'S FEET STILL IN THE AIR! GERMAN SUPLEX AGAINST THE MAT!! HE HANGS ON AND BRIDGES FOR THE PIN! 1 . . . . . . . . . . 2 . . . . . . . . . . Jim Robson: ST. CLAIR MUSTERS THE STRENGTH TO ROLL BACKWARDS! TRAVERS RABIDLY DIVES BACK ON HIM! PUNCHING HIM IN THE FACE! BITING HIS FOREHEAD! GOUGING HIS EYES! TRAVERS HAS GONE INSANE! I HAVE _NEVER_ SEEN THE CHARACTERISTICS FROM ERIC TRAVERS THAT HE'S DISPLAYING TONIGHT!!! Jack Anderson: St. Clair forced this upon himself! He attacked Tricia Lane and put her in the hospital! He sat on the edge of her bed while she slept and speculated on how he could get to her at any time! And the fans CHEER this man! Eric Travers does NOT deserve this! It's not fair to Travers! Jim Robson: Oh yeah, it slipped my mind! Eric Travers is the epitome of fairness! A deep gash has opened up in St. Clair's forehead and ... what is Travers motioning for? It seems as though the Choir Master is passing him something through the cage. Jack Anderson: Looks like a glase tube. A vile maybe? Jim Robson: That's definitely an empty vile. He's holding it under St. Clair's forehead while he holds him by the hair. Blood is eagerly filling that vile! What is this about? Travers closes it up and passes it back to Choir Master. Jack Anderson: He's running away! Choir Master has taken the vile of St. Clair's blood and fled up the aisle! Jim Robson: Travers picks him up now. He's got him by a handful of hair and he's SCREAMING at him! Oh, now that's insult to injury! Travers just spit in St. Clair's bloody face! Jack Anderson: Nonsense! He's just trying to clear it off for him. You know how sometimes your mother licks her thumb and wipes your face off? Jim Robson: Oh man. Where's my shovel? It's getting deep in here. Jack Anderson: You're so cynical. Jim Robson: Travers hooks one arm behind St. Clair's head. He slides the other one through his armpit and locks his hands behind! HOLY CRAP! T-BONE SUPLEX AGAINST THE CAGE! ST. CLAIR CONNECTED FACE FIRST AND BLOOD SPURTED THROUGH THE AIR!!! [Blood is actually dripping off the cage where he landed.] Jim Robson: Travers stands on the second turnbuckle. KNEE DROP across St. Clair's forehead! The ref is saying something to Travers now. AND TRAVERS THROWS HIM DOWN BY THE HAIR! The referee just slid across the ring from that! What can he do about it though? This is a cage match and there are no dq's! Travers climbs onto the apron and it ... yeah it looks like he's climbing the cage again! Doesn't he remember what happened last time he tried this? Jack Anderson: Maybe not. St. Clair dropped him pretty damn hard. Jim Robson: Touche`. Amazingly, Shane is starting to come to his senses. He sees Travers scaling the wall and ... oh man! ST. CLAIR IS GIVING CHASE! He's following Travers up the wall at record speed and now the two are side by side! Travers punches him in the side of the head! St. Clair slips a few notches but hangs on! Remember folks, the roof of this cage is exceptionally high. It'll sting considerably if one of these men takes a dive. St. Clair now has Travers by the tights and ... [All the ladies in the house hoot and hollar.] Jack Anderson: WHOA NELLIE! I WASN'T EXPECTION A FULL MOON TONIGHT! Jim Robson: Enough with the wise cracks. Uh ... I mean ... Jack Anderson: HA HA! Well played, Jim. Well played. Jim Robson: Eric Traver is kicking at St. Clair! He's actually hanging on from the top of the cage now! St. Clair is almost caught up! TRAVERS ONCE AGAIN SWINGS ACROSS THE RING! THIS TIME ST. CLAIR IS RIGHT BEHIND HIM! TRAVERS TURNS AROUND AND THE ROOF IS COMING OFF THIS PLACE AS BOTH MEN ARE HANGING BY ONE ARM, SWAPPING PUNCHES!! Jack Anderson: That patch of the roof doesn't look like it's going to ... [KLANG!!!] [BOOM!!!] Jim Robson: JESUS CHRIST!!! [POP!!!] Jack Anderson: ... support them much longer. Jim Robson: IT COLLAPSED!!! THE SECTION OF ROOF COLLAPSED AND BOTH MEN ARE TRAPPED BENEATH IT!!! [Eric Travers is face down on the mat. St. Clair is on his side with his leg bent in awkward fashion. A panal of chain linked fence rests atop the bodies.] Jim Robson: The ref isn't sure what to do! Don't look at us, man! Jack Anderson: What do we do now?? Both of 'em are out and I don't think they're going to get back up! Jim Robson: Well ... I uh ... I guess we wait. Jack Anderson: But I don't wannaaaaaa wait! I want results NOW! Jim Robson: Well I can't imagine that ... oh Lord. I couldn't have EVER imagined what I'm seeing now! BOTH MEN ARE MOVING! THEY ARE BOTH MAKING A CONSCIOUS EFFORT TO SLIDE OUT! LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, THIS IS WHAT THE IWF/WOW WORLD TITLE IS ALL ABOUT! THIS IS HOW MUCH THESE TWO WANT A PIECE OF THE OTHER! THIS IS GUT CHECK TIME! [St. Clair has crawled slowly from beneath the patch of cage. Travers is halfway out. Shane, it seems, is more aware of his surroundings as he jogs toward the ropes.] Jim Robson: SHANE DIVES ONTO THE CAGE AND CRUSHES TRAVERS BENEATH!!! HE COVERS ERIC'S BODY WITH IT AGAIN AND BEGINS STOMPING ON THE AREA COVERING HIS FACE! GOOD GOD ALMIGHTY! THE BLOOD IS FLOWING!! [Shane limps across the ring, clutching his thigh, as he begins an ill advised journey to the top turnbuckle.] Jim Robson: This could be the end, Jack! For Travers it St. Clair connects! But if he doesn't ... [Shane balances himself by holding onto the cage with his back facing the ring. He bends his knees slightly and ...] Jim Robson: A FREAKING MOONSAULT!!! [KLANG!!!] Jim Robson: AND IT CONNECTED!! ST. CLAIR PERFORMED A MOONSAULT! [Shane hit the extraordinary maneuver for a man his size, but he couldn't capitalize. He spun across the mat and now rests in the corner, massaging his right thigh.] Jack Anderson: He's hurt, Jim! St. Clair just hurt himself as well! Jim Robson: I think you're right, Jack, but look at Travers! Lifeless beneath the fencing!! [St. Clair bows on one knee and pulls himself up with the ropes. He grabs the piece of the cage on top of Travers and leans it up against one of the turnbuckles.] Jim Robson: I don't like the vibe this is giving me. St. Clair limps to Travers prone body and pulls his dead weight straight up. That is power, Jack! HE WHIPS TRAVERS AGAINST THE PANEL!! [KLANG!!!] Jim Robson: SHANE WITH A BURST OF SPEED! DIVES THROUGH THE AIR! [KLANG!!!] Jim Robson: TRAVERS INVOLUNTARILY COLLAPSED!!! THERE WAS NOTHING BETWEEN ST. CLAIR AND THE CAGE!! [Shane now lays atop Travers body. Neither knows where they are.] Jim Robson: SHANE IS ON TOP AND THE REFEREE COUNTS!! 1 . . . . . . . . . . 2 . . . . . . . . . . THHHRRRR . . . . . Jim Robson: WE HAVE A NEW CHAMPION!!! SHANE ST. CLAIR IS THE NEW IWF/WOW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION!!! . . . . . [KLANG!!!] Jim Robson: DAMMIT!!! Jack Anderson: DIVINE INTERVENTION, JIM!! IT'S GOD'S WILL!! [The cage teetered as the referee made the count, and just as his hand was about to strike for the third time, the panel collapsed atop all three men. The count could not be consumated.] Jim Robson: The cage is playing a bigger part in this match than any of us ever expected! It doesn't appear as though it took too much of a toll of the referee though. It just hindered the count. He's climbing back out and he pulls the cage off of both men. He drops once again to make the count! 1 . . . . . . . . . . 2 . . . . . . . . . . 3!!! Jack Anderson: TRAVERS KICKED OUT!! Jim Robson: I WOULDN'T BELIEVE IT UNLESS I SAW IT, JACK, BUT YOU'RE RIGHT! We have a VERY determined champion! [Travers trudgingly rolls out from underneath St. Clair and rests against the bottom rope. Shane feels a spark too. He grabs the middle rope and uses it for leverage to stand.] Jim Robson: Travers is crawling across the ring. St. Clair is stalking him! It's like a horror movie, Jack, but which one is the monster! Which one of these men will simply not die?! [It becomes obvious that Travers is heading for the door. St. Clair is limping, but he's inching closer and closer.] Jim Robson: Travers pulls himself up and kicks the cage door open! He climbs out onto the apron. HE DIVES OUT OF THE CAGE!! ST. CLAIR CHARGES TOWARD THE DOOR LIKE A BULL!! [KLANG!!!!] Jim Robson: SWEET JESUS!! TRAVERS SPRUNG TO HIS FEET AND DROPKICKED THE DOOR RIGHT INTO SHANE'S HEAD!! [Shane fell face first to the canvass.] Jim Robson: Travers has him by the hair now, pulling him out of the ring! [THUD] Jim Robson: St. Clair is face down on the concrete! And Travers is heading for the timekeeper's table. He grabbed the I/W World Heavyweight Title and walks around the opposite side of the ring from St. Clair. [BOOOOOOO!!!] Jim Robson: I THINK TRAVERS IS LEAVING! HE'S LEAVING THIS MATCH! [St. Clair stirs.] Jim Robson: He's walking back up the aisle, jawing with some fans! I can't believe this! "Epic" Eric Travers, in his solid black tights, the man who is suppose to be unbeatable, is leaving this match! And the fans are SHOWERING him with garbage! [St. Clair crawls up the aisle. Sneaking up behind. Not out of strategy, but the man simply can't stand.] Jim Robson: GET HIM, SHANE! TAKE WHAT YOU WANT! [Shane grabs Travers ankle, which startles him.] Jim Robson: Travers begins stomping at Shane's head and back! He's walking all over him! [CRACK!!!] Jim Robson: DEAR GOD!! THE WORLD TITLE WAS NOT MEANT TO BE DRIVEN INTO SHANE ST. CLAIR'S SKULL!! NEITHER THE TITLE OR THE SKULL IS MADE FOR THAT! [Travers grabs St. Clair by his ears and pulls him up, propping him against the safety railing as fans pat him on the back and shout their support. Eric screams at him, slapping him across the face repeatedly.] [Travers: YOU DON'T DESERVE THIS!! YOU DON'T DESERVE TO BE THAT RING WITH ME!! THIS WILL NEVER BE YOURS!! EVER!!] [POP!!!] =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- IWF/WOW EGOS & ICONS 2001 CONTINUES... Jim Robson: SHANE HEADUBUTTS HIM IN THE NOSE!!! BLOOD IS GUSHING FROM TRAVER'S NOSTRALS!! [St. Clair gnashes his teeth and grabs Travers by the hair. He runs toward the cage, pulling the champion with him.] Jim Robson: HE THROWS TRAVERS FACE FIRST AGAINST THE OUTSIDE OF THE CAGE!! [Eric falls to his knees but manages to stand quickly and run. He stops when he finds himself on the opposite side of the cage from St. Clair.] Jim Robson: There's nowhere left to go! Eric MUST face St. Clair! He MUST finish the job tonight! [Eric has a bright idea. He looks behind him and springs toward the announcers tables.] Jack Anderson: What the hell?! [Travers attemps to climb over the railing when a wall of security forms in front of him. A gap forms and standing behind them is IWF/WOW Co-President ...] Jack Anderson: JURKSCHAT!! Jim Robson: CO-PRESIDENT JURKSCHAT IS GRINNING FROM EAR TO EAR!! HE'S GOING TO MAKE SURE THAT TRAVERS DEFENDS THAT TITLE! [Shane St. Clair drags his injured leg across the ringside area. Travers sees him coming around and suddenly leaps onto the wall of the cage and climbs at a record pace.] Jim Robson: NOWHERE LEFT TO GO BUT UP! TRAVERS IS CLIMBING TO THE ROOF OF THE CAGE!! [Shane begins climbing as well but at a much slower pace. Travers swings one leg up onto the top, then hoists himself over.] Jim Robson: You're almost there, Shane! You're almost there! [Travers crawls across the cage and looks through the hole they created. As he peers over his shoulder he finds St. Clair creeping up behind him.] Jim Robson: SHANE IS THERE! HE GRABS TRAVERS BY THE HAIR AND YANKS HIM BACKWARD! [Eric rolls onto his back and lands under a series of vicious stomps from the challenger.] Jack Anderson: These two will kill themselves! That cage can't take much more before the whole thing comes crashing down! Jim Robson: I'll have to agree with you! I think this one should head back to the squared circle. St. Clair, however, doesn't as he drives those clubbing forearms into Travers back! Travers to his credit is making a valiant effort to strive through those shots and get to his feet! [St. Clair helps him the rest of the way via a clump of hair.] Jim Robson: TRAVERS TURNS THE TIDES WITH A KICK TO THE STOMACH! FRONT FACE LOCK ON ST. CLAIR! DON'T DDT HIM! DON'T DO IT! [KLANG!!!] [POP!!!] Jim Robson: BACKDROP BY ST. CLAIR!! TRAVERS BOUNCES ACROSS THE CAGE! [As Travers struggles to get up, Shane limps across the roof, right next to the gap, and motions for Travers to bring it on. Eric finally stnads and wobbles groggily, painting a huge target on himself.] Jim Robson: GOD HAVE MERCY!!! SHANE ST. CLAIR IS RACING TOWARD TRAVERS!! Jack Anderson: THAT SON OF A BITCH IS GONNA KILL THEM BOTH!!! Jim Robson: HOLY SSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHH---- [SCREAMS!] . . . . . . . . . . [FLASHES!] . . . . Jim Robson: MOOOOOOOOOOOVE!!! . . . . . . [SNAP!!!] . . . . . [CRACK!!!] . . . . . [THUD!!!] . . . . . . . . . Jim Robson: ................ Jack Anderson: ............. Fans: EYE-DUBBA-YA!!!!! EYE-DUBBA-YA!!!!! EYE-DUBBA-YA!!!!! EYE-DUBBA-YA!!!!! [It was a slaughter. Shane St. Clair SPEARED Eric Travers off of the roof of the cage. Both men soared through the air. Jim and Jack's table was shattered, everything on and around it destroyed, including the two broadcasters. Jim lays face down amidst the rubble of plunder and cables. Jack Anderson, somehow, wound up under his chair and with a small cut on his forehead. Eric Travers lays beneath Shane St. Clair, both of them amounting to little more than a heap of flesh within a mess of wood, tv moniters, plastic cups, table legs, chairs ...] FANS: SHANE-ST.-CLAIR!!!!! SHANE-ST.-CLAIR!!!!! SHANE-ST.-CLAIR!!!!! SHANE-ST.-CLAIR!!!!! OPPOSING FANS: TRAV-ERS!!!!! TRAV-ERS!!!!! TRAV-ERS!!!!! TRAV-ERS!!!!! [Our referee is paralyzed in awe. He could make the count, but this match has to end inside the ring. However, neither man moves. Ah, here come the Prophet and the Idol.] Fans: BOOOOOOOOOOO!!! [The two teammates of Eric Travers rolls St. Clair away and lift the Epic one. They help him toward the ring and gently roll him in through the door. They then return to St. Clair and put the boots to him for a few seconds before picking him up as well.] [KLANG!!!] [The Idol slams his head against ring steps. He then places St. Clair's head between the door as the Prophet slams it against him. Then, carelessly, they roll him in as well. All of this happening in silence except for the reaction of the fans. The Prophet and Idol are chased away by Co-President Jurkschat's security. The door is shut, and this match is now anyone's game.] . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . [Two minutes. Neither man has budged. Until ... yes, Eric Travers reaces for the bottom rope, still unable to lift his head off the ground. The crowd cheers out of respect as he slowly, but effectively, climbes the ropes to stand. He stumbles to St. Clair's prone body. He puts every ounce of strength he has into lifting the massive challenger to his feet, and in one last attempt at retaining his title, he prepares St. Clair for the Epic Ending.] . . . . . . . . . . [He lifts St. Clair into the sloppiest, most wobbly vertical suplex position we've ever seen.] . . . . . . . . . . [Travers bounces him across the top rope stomach first.] . . . . . . . . . . [Back into a suplex, Travers twists and yanks down on Shane's neck.] . . . . . . . . . . . [THAT'S IT!] . . . . . . . . . . . . [HE'S GOT IT!] . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . [WE CAN'T BELIEVE THAT SHANE ST. CLAIR BLOCKD IT BY LANDING ON HIS FEET AND HOOKING HIS ARMS AROUND TRAVERS! HE'S GOT THE __SWEET RELEASE__ CINCHED IN!] . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . [TRAVERS IS FIGHTING IT! WAVING HIS ARMS IN THE AIR!] . . . . . . . . . . . . . [BOTH MEN FALL ON THEIR SIDES, BUT ST. CLAIR KEEPS THE HOLD APPLIED!] . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . [TRAVERS DOESN'T HAVE MUCH LEFT! NEITHER DOES ST. CLAIR! CAN HE KERP IT LOCKED??] . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . [With his last remaining drop of energy, Travers stretches out ... reaches toward the ropes and ...] . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . [ ... TAPS OUT!] DING DING DING FRANCINE: Ladies and gentlemen ... the winner of this match ... and NEEEEEEWWWWWWW IWF/WOW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION ... "T H E H E A D L I N E R" ... S H A N E S T. C L A I R!!!!! [__HUGE__ POP!!!!!] ["Ultra Mega" by Powerman 5000 erupts.] [Upon hearing the bell, St. Clair released the old immediately. Medical staff has flooded the ring. The referee drops the I/W World Title across St. Clair's chest who summons the will to clutch it in his arms.] [The show closes with an aeral view of the wreckage. Our announcers are still unconscious. Nearly everything in sight is destroyed or damaged. And the ring is filled with a first aid unit. The credits flash and then ...] [Fade out.] .___ __ _____________ /\ __ __________ __ __ | / \ / \_ _____/ / / / \ / \_____ \/ \ / \ | \ \/\/ /| __) / / \ \/\/ // | \ \/\/ / | |\ / | \ / / \ // | \ / |___| \__/\ / \___ / / / \__/\ / \_______ /\__/\ / \/ \/ \/ \/ \/ \/ (c) IWF/WOW Productions 2001 http://members.home.com/iwfwow/
