Real Name: Xaria Veronica Linette-Murdoch Ring Name: Xaria Linette Nickname: The Rainbow Angel Hometown: Paris, France Resides: Charlotte, North Carolina Height & Weight: 5'4" & 122lbs.
Alignment: Ultimate Babyface
Entrance Music: "Pocket Full of Sunshine" by Natasha Bedingfield
Ring Attire: Entrance Only: Pink glittery jacket with a rainbow-colored, angel-winged “X” on the back, rainbow earrings and rainbow bead necklace. Normal Attire: Casual or formal and colorful. Whether Xaria’s wearing a blouse and a skirt, or a summer dress and high heels, she’s going to be colorful. Don’t be surprised if she ever walks in with a rainbow dress! Wrestling Style: Xaria has enhanced her martial arts, thanks to her sensei, and she is twice as fearless when it comes to aerial moves. Her submission skills have improved by working on her physical strength, though it is still a flaw unless an adrenaline rush takes over. Using her supreme agility and high endurance, she looks to wear out her opponents while still having energy left over to take them down. She will never cheat or use dirty tactics to win a match; no exceptions. She is a clean wrestler, fair and square all the way through, even if the opponent proves to be otherwise. Ring Persona: She is very playful in the ring, consistently optimistic and bubbly. To the fans, she is an angel on a quest to right all wrongs and spread love and peace. Even when the odds are against her, she never falters and keeps fighting until the very end, which usually means knocking her out cold. However, there are rare occurrences when there is no time for fun and she is straight-up fierce. This is only triggered by her worst enemies, yet it is not a side of her any smart person wants to initiate in the first place. Signature Taunt: Xaria toe-kicks the mat twice and bounces twice. “Sparkle-Up.”
Title History:
Superstar History:
Born with schizophrenia, she also struggled with divisions between psychosis, hallucination and delirium. When she was a little girl, she didn’t have any real friends, so her imaginary friends were spirits with alternate traits of her personality. One spirit in particular became her best friend in the whole world-- Rai, the mask-wearing demonic spirit. In truth, he was her conscious, but she didn’t realize that until a much later age. Her family were bitter and sweet clashing; her father loathed her and her mother loved her. Manuel abandoned them, but Olivia was able to take care of Xaria by herself until she died of an illness. Living on the streets of Paris for eight years sounded like a lonely life for the little girl, but in her mind, her spiritual friends kept her company. She took part in competitions involving running, winning various amounts of prize money, and eventually bought herself karate and tae kwon do lessons aside food, water and clothes.
At eighteen, she managed to take a flight across the Atlantic and ended up in Charlotte, North Carolina. There, she met and trained under Alan Grenwells, along with his step-children, Brendan and Kimberly. They welcomed her into the family and lived under Alan’s dojo. One day, Xaria noticed Brendan and Kimmy watching wrestling on the television. Curious, she sat down and watched with them, and she was inspired. She wanted to become a professional wrestler. It seemed like a difficult road for a mentally challenged young woman, but she was determined and trained hard for two years. At the age of twenty, she made her professional wrestling debut in Legacy Wrestling Alliance in January 2007. Wrestling critics doubted her and her abilities, but her first matches and winning the LWA Crossfire Division title proved them wrong. She quickly became a fan favorite all over the world, making history by feuding with Nya Roux which rolled into the Trifecta Angels versus Better Than You. She was the company’s last LWA Undisputed World Champion before it shut down.
However, her journey did not stop there, and neither did some of the roster’s. They were discovered by the reopening Epic Wrestling Organization and the excitement went off without hesitation. Being forced into a tag team with Alexis Skyes, no one thought they would make it far, but they ended up becoming the longest-reigning eWo Tag Team Champions, their record of ninety-one days unable to be broken by any other tag team. They also joined Reno Drake and AJ Donavon for a time, forming the newest version of The Iconoclast. Xaria and AJ were even dating for a time. During all this, she was feuding with one of the biggest names in wrestling, The Legend, who secretly used her behind her back until she found out and betrayed him first. Even after AJ dumped and humiliated her, and Legend nearly ended her career, she returned with fury in her eyes. She wasn’t the Rainbow Angel everyone knew, but the Explosive Angel. It was actually one of the spirits “taking over” as an alter ego and driving her to commit viciousness.
The two angels mentally fought each other, but finally Xaria won, only to be forced into one of the most terrifying incidents in eWo when she was raped and impregnated by Czecher. The baby was not meant to be as a shovel shot to the stomach killed it, leaving Xaria to the point of nearly committing suicide. Fortunately, she was stopped by Frank Murdoch, and the two eventually married in early March 2008. Before this, however, eWo closed its doors and everyone was forced into hiatus. This wouldn’t last long when the doors were once again opened in March 2008, just in time for The Crowning. There were old and new faces, and among them-- yes-- was the Rainbow Angel herself. Her return to the ring was unfortunately harassed by Jack Darling, and this exploded into a feud between the two. She wasn’t able to win many of her matches. Something was distracting her and her passion was fading away. After War Games, she disappeared.
Xaria learned that her father was diagnosed with lung cancer. She set out to see him on his last days, and he apologized to her for never being there for her and treating her horribly. By his will, he gave her his inheritance and the keys to his two Michelin stars restaurant. On his last day, he passed away in her arms after she forgave him. Now she had a new problem. How could she run a restaurant if she didn’t have the skills? And what about wrestling? After she briefly returned to eWo, only for her old rival, Darling, to nearly end her career, she had a lot to think about, study and practice. Through proper training and strong guidance, she remained the owner of Le Paradis, renamed Le Beau Paradis upon her request. This French restaurant located in Paris was stunning and welcome to all who went to dine. She also continued to play piano, guitar and dance, but despite all these joys, there was still an empty void in her heart for wrestling.
... But everyone knows the loved Rainbow Angel cannot be gone forever. |
