The Silent Assassin defended his title for 5 months but finally lost the title to his old adversary MadKat. This match was to be Lawrences last in the HWWA as his contract soon expired. He was snapped up quickly by the Underground Wrestling Organisation. They bought the Silent Assassin in to be apart of their Hardcore division and Lawrence really flourished, he won the Hardcore Championship a record breaking 9 times. He started a brutal rivalry against BronX the brawler from Brooklyn, NY. When Lawrence returned from a two month hiatus he was the mystery partner of the Green Dragon in the tag team tournament, the pair went on to win the tournament and the titles. It was a short lived partnership however as in his final match in the UWO Lawrence smashed Green Dragon over the head with one of the tag titles and walked out of the company.
Lawrence was put in contact with the CWF and agreed to a very generous contract offer. He dropped the Silent Assassin gimmick and picked up the moniker of the master of manipulation The Realist. For the first time in his career Lawrence was a heel, he took to it very well and crowd quickly began to dislike him, but they appreciated what he could do in the ring. He joined together with Classy Mike. C and his stable the Classy Dogs. Lawrence fitted in really well in the group, Mike was a great World Champion and Lawrence was perfect in the midcard, he won the Intercontinental title 3 times with one of his runs lasting just short of 12 months. However in possibly one of the most exciting storylines in CWF history, The Realist was named as the mystery opponent to challenge Classy Mike C for the World title. Lawrence won the match dropping Mike with his finishing move the Realism. Lawrence had a short lived reign however, as in a controversial storyline he was forced to defend his title in a loser leaves town match against Mike. C and the rest of the Classy Dogs.
Jarvis took 6 months away from wrestling to heal up on a few nagging injuries, but when he was ready to come back he joined the International Wrestling Association, within a short space of time Lawrence had a flurry of gold, he won the Hardcore title a tenth time, the Intercontinental title twice, the tag team titles with partner Rob Hardy and the World Championship which he won from Johnny Sensation. To say he did all of this one his own would be unfair, during his time in the IWA Lawrence put together a remarkable stable, the Last Call. With himself as leader of the pack, he had Rob Hardy, Gabriel Knight and the Wanderer backing him up. Lawrence and the Last Call ran riot over the IWA destroying anybody who got in their path, they quickly became fan favourites for their dont care attitudes. When Lawrence lost his World title to the Phantom, Rob Hardy and the other members destroyed The Realist in a brutal attack on his knee. Lawrence wasnt seen for three weeks until the last IWA pay per view before it merged with GWO due to financial problems. He came back and battled his former best friend Rob Hardy in a ladder match, hanging above the 20 foot ladder was a briefcase holding inside the leadership of the Last Call, despite being barely able to walk, Lawrence took the fight to Rob all around the ring hitting him with everything he had. He set up the ladder and begin to climb up, just as he reached out to grab the briefcase Rob Hardy sprung to his feet and pushed the ladder over, Lawrence fell to the outside of the ring Hardy capitalised on an unconscious Realist by snatching the briefcase and the leadership of the Last Call. Paramedics quickly rushed out to the ring and Lawrence was stretchered from the arena.
Fans of Lawrence soon learnt that during that match when he fell from the ladder Lawrence had in fact broken his back, it was a heart-breaking injury for Lawrence he was distraught that his dream had been snatched away from him. He was inducted into the IWA Hall of Fame and was also given the only Grand-Slam trophy for winning every title in the IWA. While Lawrence was away from wrestling the IWA and the GWO formed together making the GWA. The merger caused a lot of upset between the current IWA roster, two of Lawrences best friends Danielle Armstrong and Johnny Sensation left the IWA and took the majority of the roster with them.
Lawrence battled back, he worked as hard as he possibly could to make a return and he did, two and a half years after his injury but to the GFW not to the GWA and he decided against joining the RFW with his former friends. The GFW was a family run company. He picked up the moniker of The Franchise, this came from his time in the IWA where he had been often told he was their Franchise Player. Lawrence carried on where he left on, he won the X Championship for the first time and then went on to win the Television title 3 times. He then got his chance at Rod Gazinya, the son of the owner Frank for the World title. He won the match and went on to defend his title for 5 months, however Frank Gazinya decided enough was enough and screwed Jarvis out of the title. At the end of the match Lawrence Jarvis pushed Frank Gazinya flat on his arse and stormed out of the GFW with his World title.
He arrived in a joint promotion the WoW/nWo. He changed his moniker to The Sensational One the ultra-charismatic fan favourite. He had a solid run as the International Champion and won the tag titles for a third time with his partner and best friend Juggernaut. He was doing well in the WoW and there was talk of him stepping up to challenge for the Heavyweight title, however these were all put out when Lawrence himself was struck down with another knee injury. He was soon released from his contract.
It was a hard time for Lawrence in and out of wrestling, his marriage started to fall apart and this was clear in his in-ring work. He travelled to Cairo to sign with C2W. He stayed here for over a year but for the first time in his career didnt win any gold. He had a good feud with Brett Holland the Heavyweight Champion but never managed to capture the title from him.
When he split up from his wife Annabelle, Lawrence returned to England and joined the British Wrestling Alliance. It was a smaller company, they couldnt afford to pay Lawrence the big money he had been used to, but it didnt matter to him too much. He stayed for approx. 18 months, during this time he won the Heavyweight Championship twice from Arkin Anarchy and Twisted.
Lawrence was then recruited to the eWo by the late AJ Epic. He picked back up The Franchise name and took off again winning the first ever National title and then went on to win the Primetime Championship. Lawrence worked a good feud with Cody Carson constantly falling short of picking up the victory. His biggest feud however turned out to be against The Idol Bill Dynamite. Bill and Lawrence had become great friends, they were like brothers until Bill took a hiatus from the eWo. Meanwhile Lawrence taunted Bill and mocked him on television causing a showdown between the two, in what most people thought to be an upset Lawrence pinned Bill Dynamite which added fuel to the fire and Lawrences ego grew even bigger. The eWo took on a few new people and a shaky backstage attitude caused a lot of people to leave, including The Franchise.
After a poor run in the AWE he came to the BWF expecting big things, he captured the Primetime title for a second time but something didnt seem right and Lawrence grew more and more unhappy. His ego finally got the best of him and he walked out of his contract 24 hours before the Pay Per View. During his time in the BWF he did accomplish something, he pinned and defeated the man who would later go on to be one of the greatest superstars in wrestling history the Legend. Where did Lawrence go after BWF? To a company ran by former eWoer Scott Palmer.
All-Pro Wrestling was where Lawrence Jarvis defeated Satana Pike and Czecher to become a 7 time World Champion. However this wasnt the main story, Cody Clark a former development wrestler from the eWo had married Jarvis daughter Kimberly. Jarvo was fuming at Clark but couldnt get anywhere near him. If anything this is what spurred him on to destroy at New Heights where he won the World title.
Lawrence left All-Pro Wrestling after the company went bust, he found out Cody Clark had joined Project X:Wrestling and Lawrence soon signed a contract. He finally got his hands on Cody Clark after both men made it to the finals of a tournament which would crown the first ever World Champion. Lawrence was defeated by the younger man Clark which gave Cody big bragging rights over his father in law Lawrence. The feud didnt die down and with the return of Bill Dynamite things only got worse. After constant digs from Dynamite and Clark, Lawrence was at breaking point, therefore when the stage was set, Cody Clark would defend his World title against The Idol Bill Dynamite and The Franchise Lawrence Jarvis in a hell in a cell match. The match itself was one of the greatest ever to date, but when Gabe Reno rushed the ring and attacked Bill Dynamite it gave Jarvis the opportunity with help from his estranged son Ethan Lawrence, The Franchise pinned his son in law becoming an 8x World Champion.
After losing his title to his brother Bill Dynamite and with all the problems that PX:W went through Lawrence left. He got in touch with his friend Danielle Armstrong from IWA. She was working in a small company with the Phantom another former IWAer. Lawrence joined and went straight after the Heavyweight title, the history he had with Danielle boosted him straight into the main event. In a four man elimination match Lawrence won the Heavyweight title for the 9th time in his career pinning Cory Franchise after eliminating the Phantom and TKO. On the next event there was a rematch pitting Cory Franchise against Lawrence for the title. Cory pulled out the victory winning back his title within a week. It was a bitter pill for Lawrence to swallow and he bought his way out of his contract which obviously didnt sit well with his former IWA allies.
Lawrence recently appeared in the reformed eWo, he asked, well demanded that Cody Clark make him part of the eWo staff. When Cody refused it sparked off that same hatred he had for Cody in APW. With Lawrence returning to the eWo, the company he considers home. Is anybody out of the firing line? Will old friendships be reunited? Will Jarvis thirst for gold continue? Only time will tell.
