Lair No. 2 of the RR&R was organized by two philosophers: Carl Plantinga, brother of Harry Plantinga of Lair No. 1, and his friend Peter Fosl. At the time, both were professors at Hollis University. The chartering meeting of the Lair, which was attended by six members of Lair No. 1, happened on the evening of January 6, 1996, in the midst of a blizzard. Because of the dangerous snowfall, attendance at the meeting was light, and the Pittsburgh Rascals were trapped in their hotel for a couple of days before they could head home.
After a year of rascally activity, all contact was lost with Lair No. 2 and they are now known as the Lost Lair of Roanoke.
