Lair No. 3 of the Rascals, Rogues, and Rapscallions held its annual Mass Challenge meeting on Saturday, December 9, 2023, in upper room at the Doylestown Maennerchor Society. The challenge was to restore something made before 1950. Jordan Goretti presented a German hunting knife. Jim Barr presented a sexton and its case. Jason Enelow presented a gold-plated Napolionic Venus of Milan medal. Dan Bramer presented a nineteenth century farmer's lathe. Roger Hull presented a cigar lighter. Calvin Morrison presented a Turkish mandolin. Dan Morrison presented a bunch of fragments of some broken plates. Jeff Sivek presented a commentary on the Old Testament and the Apocrypha. Mark McDowell presented a Yankee drill. And Jon Haines presented a autoharp.
The evening's winner, taking the Jon Landgraf Medal for the second time, was Calvin Morrison with his Turkish mandolin. Runner-up was Dan Bramer with his farmer's lathe. Taking home the James Buchanan Medal for the worst presentation was Dan Morrison.
