Calvin is a second-generation Rascal and a member of Lair No. 3. He attended his first RR&R meeting on March 15, 2003, competing in the Mass Challenge that night. He was elected a member on February 20, 2016. He completed his Rascal Challenge, which was to produced a Pennsylvania puro cigar, on November 5, 2016. He won the Mass Challenge in 2018, responding to the call to "make a tool" with a electric powered cigar lighter. At the 2021 Mass Challenge, Calvin became the first Rascal to be saddled with the James Buchanan Prize. At the 2022 Mass Challenge, Calvin retained the James Buchanan Prize.
