Sixth Meeting of the Ur-RR&R

The sixth meeting of the RR&R was called to commemorate the 11th anniversary of the liberation of the Falkland Islands. This is meeting was held at Dan Morrison's house at 185 Home Street, Pittsburgh. The evening was vintage Pittsburgh: 96 degrees, 96 percent humidity; and the accomodations were vintage grad school: no air conditioner. Charles George brought a Super Etendard [with Exocet missle] model which he assembled at the meeting. Steven Ploughe brought several penguins to give the place a South Atlantic feel. Craig Richmond brought Xingo Black Beer from Brazil -- the closest he could find to the Falklands. Bill Cipkala caught a ride from Dan Morrison and gave him a Hungarian 1 milliard pengo note, saying "Thanks a milliard!" when he was dropped off. We watched a video about the Falkland Islands War. Ricardo Moliterno won $6.00 in the pool guessing how many hours between the British surrender and the subsequent Argentine surrender: 1763 hours, 34 minutes.
