Hathor
Hathor is the goddess of fertility, inebriety, and music, otherwise, sex, drugs and Rock & Roll.  She was formerly the wife of Ra and was a leader among the System Lords.  She is a �Queen� Goa�uld and produces the Goa�uld larvae.  Exiled to Earth, Hathor lay in her sarcophagus for thousands of years until archaeologists released her in 1997.  She tried to take over the SGC but she was thwarted and fled to Chulak.  She built up a new army of Jaffa's and other Goa'uld.  In 1999 Hathor kidnapped O'Neill, Daniel and Carter and influenced them into believing that they were 80 years into the future.  This plan was used to try and discover what the other System Lords were up to.  She wanted to create an alliance with the Asgard because she knew their power.  She is believed to be dead...again...because O'Neill threw her in a vat of Liquid Nitrogen.  She also had a son called Heru-ur with Ra.  Hathor has also achieved the stealth technology which can make her invisible.  She is wonderfully played by Suanne Braun and is from the episodes Hathor[Hence the title]Out of Mind and Into the Fire.

Mythology of Hathor
Hathor was the Goddess of love, deity of happiness, dance and music.  She was depicted as a cow, a woman with a cow's head or a woman with the horns of a cow.  Later on, Isis assumed Hathor's role.  Hathor's cult was centred in Dendera where she was the Goddess of fertility and childbirth.  In Thebes she was seen and viewed as the Goddess of the dead.  Hathor was seen as the mother of Horus and the Greeks identified Hathor with Aphrodite.
