First Editions of E. Phillips Oppenheim

This list is based upon The Pool of Memory [PoM], Oppenheim's memoirs published in 1941. That book list novels, short-story collections and omnibus volumes separately. Additionally, for reasons that are unknown to me, there are Oppenheim books that PoM does not list. These are likely pirated editions.

The PoM list contains publication information regarding British editions only when there is no American edition. In most cases, the British edition preceded the American edition. In a few cases, however, the British edition followed the American edition.

This list contains titles published under both "E. Phillips Oppenheim" and "Anthony Partridge." Titles published under both names are listed separately. Books published under "Anthony Partridge" are indicated. Otherwise, the named author is "E. Phillips Oppenheim."

In the list below, I have combined the various PoM lists, and the books unlisted in PoM in the following manner: in a given year, 1) the PoM-listed novels, 2) the PoM-listed short-story collections, 3) the PoM-listed omnibus volumes; and 4) the non-PoM-listed books. This ordering may not accurately reflect the sequence during a single year when these books appeared.

This list is (c) copyright 2003 by Daniel Morrison and may not be reproduced without permission.
