16 Special Harry Potter Issue
16: How did you prepare for this role?
Tom: I practiced facial expressions, and I snarled like a wolf.
16: What was it like working with such great actors?
Tom: Richard Harris [who plays Headmaster Dumbledore] and Maggie Smith [who plays Professor McGonagall] are great. I was nervous around Robbie Coltraine [who plays Hagrid] at first. I didn't want to say anything. But then we became friends.
16: Was there anything on the set that you wanted to take home?
Tom: I would've taken my wand. It was really cool. It was a bit of a wavy sort of shape.
16: Are you different from Malfoy?
Tom: He's very mean. To be honest, I am not that mean. I think he's jealous, and he wants to be the coolest guy in school.
16: Do you prefer to play a bad or good character?
Tom: Bad. It's more fun because it's different.
16: What kind of spell would you love to cast on someone?
Tom: I'd make their legs stick together so wherever the person went, they would fall over.
16: What magical power would you want to have?
Tom: Invisibility. So I could sneak around and go places I shouldn't.

Disney Adventures Magazine
DA: How Would You Describe Malfoy?
Tom: Mean. Slimy. A bit like a snake. That's good for a Slytherin.
DA: What's the hardest part about playing Malfoy?
Tom: At first it was quite difficult actually being mean. But after a while it seemes quite fun!
DA: What's Malfoy's best characteristics?
Tom: He's quite clever- with all his plans against Harry.
DA: Who would you pick to be on your Quidditch team?
Tom: I hate to say this- but probably Harry Potter, because he's quite good at the game. Or even Crabbe and Goyle, even. if they were any good on their brooms. They'd be strong, and they'd be bullies on the field. But their not any good.
DA: What's the coolest thing about being a Slytherin?
Tom: They're different from everyone else. They're not goody-goody-two-shoes. and their very slick and sly.
