FOP Insurance Benefits

The Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge 82 has the following benefits available to its members:

$1,500.00 Life benefit is paid when a member dies from any cause. This benefit reduces to $1,000.00 when the members are 65 and older.

$10,000 Accidental Death benefit is paid when a member dies from accidental bodily injury, exposure, loss of life due to advance weather conditions, or disappearance for 365 days after the date of an accident.

$10,000 Line of Duty benefit is paid in addition to the Accidental Death benefit when an active at work member is killed in the line of duty.

$5,000 Occupational Assault benefit paid in addition to Accidental Death & Line of Duty benefits when an active at work member's loss of life occurs as the result of an act of physical violence.

$10,000 Common Carrier benefit paid in addition to Accidental Death while the member is a fair-paying passenger on qualifying public transportation.

Expanded Accident Benefits

* Loss of hands or feet $10,000                                  * Loss of sight (both eyes) $10,000

* Loss of hand or foot $5,000                                      * Loss of sight (one eye) $5,000

* Reattachment of Hand or Foot $5,000                   * Quadriplegia $ 10,000

* Loss Thumb and Index Finger                                 * Paraplegia $5,000

                                     of Same Hand $2,500                * Hemiplegia $5,000

* Loss of Speech $5,000

* Loss of Hearing (both ears) $5,000
