Could you please explain the use of Botox in treating some deficits?

Botox is a bacterial toxin that is a muscle relaxant. It is used to treat spacticity related to any neurological condition. It will not treat a deficit. However, if a patient has immobility due to stiffening of a limb, medications like baclofen or valium can be used, botox can be used, or an implantable pump into the spine which releases baclofen.
