Here is the next question from the group. First though, I want to pass on the sincere "thanks" expressed by many of the group members for your assistance.
This week we were wondering - after diagnosis of a primary spinal tumor, do you feel that the entire CNS pathway (including the brain) should receive an MRI? How often?

At the initial diagnosis I like to do a complete spinal and cranial MRI to look for other lesions. If negative they do not need to be repeated unless the patient develops new symptoms not related to the identified lesion.
