Cathy’s mother tried not to show her shock at the two individuals who stood outside her door. It wouldn’t be polite to gasp at the young man in a black trench coat with long curly blond hair swept back in a ponytail or to stare at his friend with the ass length hair and scraggly clothes. “Just a moment,” she tells them, closing the door as she calls to her daughter. “Catherine Christine Mary Elizabeth! Get down here!” “Yes, mother?” she said meekly, a mischievous gleam in her eye. “Who are those people outside?” Cathy glanced out the window, “Oh, that’s my new boyfriend Killer, and his best friend Marilyn Manson…” “Cathy…” “Chill out Mom, it’s just Jordan and George. I went to Japan with them…remember?” “You went to Japan?” “Uh, see ya, Mom,” she called, escaping out the door before her mom could think that one over. “Hey guys, what brings you to Newark?” “We’re bored,” George shrugged. “So you came all this way to play magic?” she asked hopefully. George and Jordan looked at each other, “Now there’s an idea.” “Actually,” Jordan said, “We felt like using our powers, so we figured we’d go to New York City and fight crime or something.” “Even though you hate the city,” she cocked her head to one side. George coughed slightly, “Plot contrivance.” “What?” “Nothing.” “Look, I’m just itching to find out what we can do, and why not kick some ass while we’re at it?” Jordan shrugged. “Translation, Jordan wants to play with his Mech,” George deadpanned. As he finished, a forest-green car pulled into the driveway, wheels squealing at the speed. A young man, tall with short wild hair and sunglasses slammed the door as he exited. “Well, if it isn’t Cathy and her dumbass friends.” “Well if it isn’t your dumbass self.” “Oh, good come back,” he mocked. “Guys, my brother, Frank,” she sighed with exasperation. “I appreciate a guy who can use ‘dumbass’ correctly in a sentence. Hi, I’m George,” he grinned at Frank who merely looked at him cross-eyed. “We’re going to New York,” Cathy told her little brother, “Now scram.” Frank laughed, “You, in the City. You won’t be able to find your way out of the train station.” “You think you know NYC better?” “Hell yeah!” “Then I bet you can’t take us there..” “Oh yeah…?” George and Jordan stared at each other. “When did this become Wrestlemania?” “Are you guys ready?” Cathy turned to her friends. “Frank’s taking us to the City.” “He’s not going to DRIVE there, is he?” Jordan demanded, eyeing Frank’s Pontiac suspiciously. “Hell, no, but I am going to drive us to Penn Station,” Frank grinned, opening his car door. “Hop in.” Cathy wondered if she was the only one who thought George had met his match at speed driving. Frank zipped down the roads so fast she had to close her eyes to keep from retching. *** “I am reborn!” Beryl shouted as the protoplasmic matter coalesced to form her slim body and long red hair. “Ha ha ha…” she began to cackle evilly, realizing her Dark Kingdom was reforming itself. “Stop that laughing, it’s annoying!” “Who dares…?” Beryl began looking around her reformed throne room. Her four generals, Jadeite, Nephrite, Kunzite and his lover Zoicite stood before her, confused and perplexed. “Now, is that any way to speak to your new Empress?” the voice mocked. The five turned to greet the strange woman, who floated in, wearing a dark purple dress, with black hair pulled back into two buns and pigtails. “This place needs some major redecorating. Some purple curtains would be nice….” “Who the Hell are you?!” Beryl cried. “I am Queen Calamity, of the Dark Side of the Moon. I just reanimated your kingdom. You will be my warriors.” Beryl snarled, “I serve no one. Boys, destroy her!” “I see we have a slight communication problem,” Calamity chuckled. Her right hand tensed, forming a long shard of shrapnel, which she used to impale Beryl. She kicked Beryl’s writhing body off the dais, where it rolled to face the four generals, leaving a trail of glittery purple blood in its wake. “Ooh, purple,” Calamity squealed. “I could decorate this whole room in her blood, tee hee!” she giggled with glee. “She’s mad,” Nephrite whispered in awe. “Quite the contrary. Would I have been able to reconstruct the entire Dark Kingdom using my own power if I were mad?” she hiccuped. “Maybe she’s drunk,” Zoicite whispered to Kunzite. She stepped over to Beryl’s body and placed one food on the corpse’s chest, “See, I am even more evil than she was. You will serve me.” “Um, if I may ask,” Jadeite put in. “What exactly do you want us to do?” “Find the Dark Crystal,” she hissed. The four looked at each other warily, here we go again, they thought. “But *I*’m not going to be stupid about it like she was,” she gestured to Beryl. “I will give you each a sensor to detect the Dark energies of the Crystal, and send each of you to different parts of the earth.” Well, it was much better thought out than Beryl’s previous plan, that much they could agree on. “What about the Sailor Senshi?” Kunzite put in harshly. “Am I sending you to Tokyo? I don’t THINK so,” she shook her head. “The Sailor Senshi are not your concern. Ignore them.” Calamity walked back up the dais, to Beryl’s throne, “Return when you have anything to report, though I will be watching you.” *** Nephrite fingered the mini-computer Calamity had given each of them. In it was the coordinates for the location he was responsible for searching. He assumed each of the tiny laptops held similar information for Jadeite, Zoicite and Kunzite. The four lingered in Kunzite’s chambers, supposedly getting ready for the journey, but in reality, discussing their new queen. “I like her,” Zoicite announced, lounging on Kunzite’s bed. “She’s much more interesting than Beryl.” Nephrite snarled; the little rat hadn’t changed any since his death. Come to think of it, Nephrite realized, what were they doing here? He recalled some events from a life lived before, but if they had died, as Calamity has suggested, he couldn’t recall how or when. Kunzite sat on a stiff wooden chair, legs crossed and gloved fingers steepled in his lap. “I agree she seems more pleasant than Beryl, but this could all be a ruse.” Jadeite came forward out of the shadows where he had been hiding. “Remember, she killed Beryl, before she could even fight back. She claims to have brought us back from the dead! She is powerful…” “Yes,” Nephrite interrupted, “Though this brought back from the dead thing seems a bit farfetched.” Jaedite whirled on him, “You don’t remember how you died? Well I remember…I remember Beryl angry at me for not destroying those stupid Sailor Scouts, encasing me in the eternal sleep.” His eye began to twitch, his right hand shook and he grasped it firmly with his left, “I was still in the crystal, still conscious when Calamity freed me…we owe her our lives!” “Like we owed Beryl our souls,” Nephrite hissed. There was a series of beeps and clicks. They turned, Zoicite had turned on his computer. “Cool, pinball!” Kunzite sighed and tossed his platinum hair out of his eyes. “We should get going.” “So you’re saying we should obey her?” Nephrite stood. “Unless you want to end up like Beryl.” Kunzite said calmly. Nephrite sighed. Kunzite was right; there really wasn’t much of a choice. Zoicite checked his computer. “I’m going to New York City.” “I’ll be in Sydney, Australia,” Kunzite told him. “But that’s so far away, Kunny-kins,” Zoicite sighed, getting up from the bed and going to his lover’s side. “It’ll be ok, pookie, we’ll be back soon.” Kunzite said coldly, reaching forward to caress the younger man’s cheek. “I’ll still miss you snookie,” Zoicite sniffed. “I’ll miss you too, sakura,” Nephrite and Jadeite exhanged a look, “Death changes people,” Jadeite muttered, “I’m assigned to London, Cheerio!” “Hasta la Vista,” Nephrite shouted sarcastically as he and Jadeite teleported from the room each leaving in a swirl of magical light. “My plan worked, I knew they couldn’t stand cutsy-ness,” Zoicite smiled in triumph. Kunzite smiled slightly back at him, “So, what do you really think, my sakura?” “I think that we should find out what this Dark Crystal can do for ourselves.” “My thoughts exactly. And I’m sure you have some better idea where it is?” “Of course, do you think I was really playing pinball? Trust me, Kunzite-sama, I know where the Dark Crystal is. I will contact you as soon as I retrieve it.” Kunzite was proud of his protégé, the boy was quite clever, “How unfortunate that I must go to Austraila to keep her majesty off our trail. Good luck, sakura.” He bent to embrace him gently, before fading from the room. *** Four figures came off the train. One danced to the last strains of the Chumba Womba song that had been playing on the train. Another absently hummed “Come on Eileen,” before turning to the third and shouting, “Damn you for singing that stupid song!” The fourth looked heavenward and seriously considered breaking the Fourth Wall to free himself from the 3 weirdos he was currently attached to. So did Cathy, Frank, George and Jordan arrive in New York City. “Now what?” Cathy sighed, as they came out on the street. “Well, actually, I was thinking we could go to the MET,” Jordan cleared his throat absently. Two sets of eyes gazed at him levelly. “What???” “Who are you, and what have you done with Jordan???” Cathy asked flustered. “What she said,” George repeated. “Um guys, what do you think that big glowy monster thing is?’ Frank pointed. George and Jordan turned to look with him. “Big glowy monster thing,” was an ample description of the creature that stomped down the streets of Manhatten, flinging aside any cars or tourists in its way. Perhaps half the size of a building, the creature resembled a bipedal rhinoceros, orange in color, though its horn glowed a deep blue. The creature was coming closer to the trio. “Run!” George shouted. As they dove into the nearest alleyway they heard: “Stop right there, big glowy monster thing! I am Sailor Oa, champion of White Chevy Corsicas like the one you just trashed! Feel my wrath! I mean, I will punish you!” Jordan stopped in his tracks, George trampling into him, “Man, she always gets all the action!” “OA CRYSTAL SHARD, EXPLODE!” Sailor Oa cried and her g green glass attack swirled around her then rocketed at the creature. The monster was quite agile for a big glowy thing and dodged her attack easily. “We have to help her! My mech would come in handy here!” Jordan exclaimed. “What did you say?” Frank asked. He had turned back to find out what had happened to his two running mates. George gave Jordan a warning look. “Nothing,” he sighed. The trio turned to watch the fight. Sailor Oa was just about to get off another attack, when the monster slammed its tail onto the concrete, sending her flying in the air. “Yikes!” Jordan whispered. Just as they thought she was done for, a glowing green man came out of nowhere and caught her effortlessly. “Watch it gorgeous!” he said with a smile. He wore a dark green mask that covered most of his face, which was framed by locks of black hair. His muscular body was encased in skintight black spandex, accented by a white pattern on his chest, and, Sailor Oa gasped, the symbol of Oa upon his chest. She gasped again when she saw the monster begin to climb the nearest building. “Not too King Kong, eh?” said her mysterious benefactor, who flew to follow the creature. He set her down on the roof of the building as the creature lumbered over the side. “Hold on Big Guy,” he encased the monstrosity in a glowing green cage. “Great, hold him there! GREEN PLANET POWER – ELIMINATION!” She cried, extending her ring towards the creature, which blasted it to smithereens. * “So, the glowy monster’s like gone,” Frank said, as the people on the streets went back to living their normal, New York lives. “Let’s get to the Met.” “Um,” George looked up at the building where there were various claw marks, “Why don’t we wait for you sister?” “She probably ran on ahead,” Frank shrugged. “She knows how to get there. C’mon, I want to get this trip over as soon as possible.” “Well, I don’t exactly find your company all that pleasant either,” Jordan muttered. George looked back, “I hope she’s ok…” *** She wasn’t exactly sure where Jordan and George had taken her brother and she really didn’t care. She had her eyes upon the tall, dark, well muscled stranger who had rescued her (not that she couldn’t rescue herself, mind you). The tall, dark, well muscled stranger with the symbol of Oa on his chest. “Who ARE you?” she demanded. “You’re welcome.” He replied grinning. “Thanks,” she said grudgingly, “But who are you?” “I am Green Lantern. Who the heck are you?” “Sailor Oa,” she said proudly displaying her chest where the symbol of Oa marked her bow. She suddenly realized that wasn’t such a good idea and stopped pointing. Green Lantern looked perplexed. “You have a GL ring. How can that be?” She glanced down at her right hand, resisting the urge to say: “you mean this old thing?” Instead she replied, “It was given to me by the Guardians of the Universe.” “But the Guardians are dead and Oa’s destroyed!” he gasped. “Go ahead, just stomp on all my dreams, why don’t you?” she said dryly. “I am the last Green Lantern,” he replied. “Good for you,” she grinned. “You don’t understand. It’s impossible for you to have a GL ring!” “If you find that something’s impossible, check your premises – one of them is bound to be wrong.” “Ex-squeeze me?” “Sorry, reading too much Ayn Rand lately. Look, I’ll tell you how I got the ring and about the Sailor Senshi…will you show me how to use it like you do?” “Um, sure…” *** 2:30 PM Cranford, New Jersey Café Rock Sean nearly dropped the coffeepot he was holding as a searing pain knocked him off balance. “No,” he breathed slowly, gazing into a froth of cappuccino. “It can’t be. Not now!” But it was. He put down the pot and turned to his boss, “I gotta go, Kevin, sorry.” “What? Sean, what are you talking about?” the balding boss shouted as his best worker and manager stalked out the door. “The world needs me,” Sean stated ominously as he opened the door and left. *** Jordan was fidgeting. Frank had to finish his cigarette before they entered the MET. Jordan hated smokers. George noticed his irritation, but didn’t say anything. He wasn’t looking forward to paying the 8 bucks, or whatever it was to get in. This was Jordan’s dumb idea and for the life of him, he couldn’t figure out why. The reason became painfully clear as they entered the great Hall er Great Lobby of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Five girls walked around the fountain and squealed upon seeing them. “Jordan!” the girl in the lead with blond pigtails cried as she ran towards them. “George!” the others cried as they followed her. Both George and Jordan had the wind knocked out of them as they were hugged and barreled over by five teenage girls, five girls who had saved the universe on more than one occasion. They were the Sailor Senshi. “I see now why you wanted to go to the MET,” George commented dryly. “When did you get so serious all of a sudden?” Jordan asked, grinning. “How did you guys get here?” George asked the girls. “Well,” Ami, the smart one, answered, “My father, who I rarely see, came to New York for a business trip and since he thought it would be educational, he invited me to come along. And of course, Usagi couldn’t resist the shopping…” “So, we all came with her, isn’t this exciting!” Usagi cried, jumping up and down. “Yeah, exciting, would you mind telling me who the hell you girls are?” Frank busted in the conversation. “Uh, Frank this is Usagi, Rei, Ami, Mina, and Lita, we met them in Japan this spring. Guys, this is Frank, Cathy’s brother.” George made introductions. “Where’s Cathy?” Rei asked. “Um, we kind of lost her.” Jordan put in, not wanting to explain in front of Frank. “Ohhhhhh.” The girls said in unison, nodding in understanding. *** Cathy stood on her head, carefully balancing as she used her ring to lift Green Lantern into the air and spin him upside down. “Good, good,” he intoned soothingly. “Thanks!” She replied, losing all concentration and causing both of them to crash to the ground. “Oomph,” GL sighed, “You really need to work on that,” “Sorry,” she apologized, “But you were going to show me that costume thing…” Well, she couldn’t mess that up much, could she? He thought with a sigh. *** Could this be it? Zoicite thought as he gazed at the massive construct that loomed before him. This was were the computer said the Dark Crystal would be located. Unfortunately, it couldn’t be more specific than that. “Curses!” he muttered absently. Well, it was time to get to work, somehow get in and find the crystal. Hmm, the best course of action seemed to be to get everyone OUT of the museum so he could search at his leisure. The thought made him smile. But how to do it? The unspoken question was answered when he entered the museum and found the Medieval Armor section. Yes, Zoicite had seen Bedknobs and Broomsticks and he had the ability to recreate the magic of Angela Lansbury. “Soulless homes Metal, no, steel prisons, Now, spirits roam Within my vision. Walk again, armor of Death! I mean um, Walk again, Death armor! Plough down these fools Like a rustic farmer!” Pleased with his poetry, Zoicite put the spell into action. The Hall of Medieval armor was set up like a Great Hall of Old. Along the walls glass cases held the fully completed suits of armor from different countries and eras. Similar cases held pikes, pole axes, bastard swords, maces and morningstars, as if purposely kept away from the imprisoned soldiers. In the very center of the room, a set of plaster horses stood watch, themselves covered with the armor of horses past. As Zoicite’s spell began to work, a strange pinkish light began to emanate from these figures and they began to move, albeit slowly. The glass cases crashed and the tourists screamed. “What was that?” Frank demanded as a throng of people began to run past their group. “Sounds like trouble,” Jordan nodded to George, “Let’s go take care of it…” “Right!” the girls cried. “Hold on a sec!” George cried futilely as the seven began to run toward the noise and against the crowd, “Don’t rush in blindly!” Then he realized who he was talking to and sighed, running after them. “What kind of Demon caused this?” Rei exclaimed at the sight of the soulless armor stalking about the hall. The soldiers had figured out where their weapons were and had gone for the glass cases along the wall. “It’s time to transform!” “Right!” “Wait, Frank doesn’t…” George tried again, but to no avail. “Moon Crisis Make Up!” “Mars Crystal Power!” “Mercury Crystal Power!” “Jupiter Crystal Power!” “Venus Crystal Power!” “MAKE UP.” Frank grinned brightly as the five girls were enveloped in light and their clothes disappeared. “Pervert!” Jordan accused, staring with him. Once the show had ended Frank started, as if suddenly realized where he was. “Oh, right..” He held up his hand to the sky in a John Travolta imitation and cried, “I’m a Soul Man!” Familiar music surrounded him, as a shiny black cane appeared, twirling in the sky. Frank’s clothes melted into a suit and tie, with dark sunglasses covering his eyes. He grabbed the cane in mid air and did an impromptu dance step. He turned and grinned at Jordan and George who were gazing at him with shock. “What, are you surprised?” “Actually, no.” George sighed, “I’m a Soul Warden!” “I’m a Soul Whip!” Jordan echoed and the two also transformed. Sailor Moon had begun her speech, “I am the pretty Sailor- suited Soldier, Sailor Moon, on behalf of the Moon, I will punish you!” “I am Sailor Mars!” “Mercury!” “Jupiter!” “Venus! And we won’t let you get away with this! On behalf of goodness and love everywhere…” “Mina, I don’t think they’re listening,” George said calmly, as dozens of lifeless soldiers ran towards them, brandishing the weapons they had picked up while the Sailor Senshi and Soul Brothers were transforming. “I got this guys.” Frank asserted, holding his cane out, “Soul Man Dance ENSEMBLE!!!!!” The soldiers stopped running and began to dance in place, a la Will Smith’s MIB video. In fact, Jordan could swear he could hear the song in the background. “Now, let them have it!” Frank cried. “Burning Mandala!” “Shine Aqua Illusion.” “Soul Whip Ensnare!” And other such attacks were uttered, followed by beams of destructive, yet appropriate energy that began to incinerate the soldiers. “It’s a shame to destroy such nice armor,” George sighed, “Oh well! Soul Ward Sword EXPLODE!” *** Zoicite tugged his hair angrily. “The Sailor Senshi? Here! What sick god has permitted this to happen? Ok, calm down Zoey, think, what do you do now? Oh F**k it…blast them all!” He was pissed, in case you hadn’t guessed “How dare you brats delay my plan!” he cried, appearing in a shower of flower petals above the Senshi. “Zoi!” he cried shooting hails of sharp, magical petals towards his foes. “Duck!” Mars cried as she dove for cover, her female friends following suite. Frank turned to the other men, “What the heck is this? Like I should duck from a flower…OUCH!” he screamed as he got beamed in the arm with a pointy flower petal, and several shards of ice, which Zoicite had added to his attack. Jordan and George quickly moved out of the way. Mars got to her feet, “Fire…SOUL!” she shouted, hoping to counteract the shards of ice flying everywhere. “That looks like Zoicite,” Ami told Mina, “We haven’t seen him since we defeated the Dark Kingdom…” “Hmmm,” Mina murmured, “What does your computer tell you Ami?” Jupiter had stood and joined Mars in attacking. The ice crystals had slowly stopped at the attack barrier the two senshi had created. Ami activated her visor and flipped open her tiny palm computer. She gasped at noticing that attached to Zoicite’s belt was a tiny laptop computer. “I wonder…” She murmured frantically tapping keys. Zoicite’s temper still flared and ice crystals continued to pelt the group. However, even in his rage, he was holding his own against the Sailor Senshi. This had to stop, George thought, as he held his sword in front of him and stealthily crept behind Zoicite who was too busy blasting the Sailor Scouts. Without calling out any attack phrase Soul Warden leapt forth and slashed, his sword whipping through the air with a sharp hiss. It hit something with a loud clang and the noise stopped the rest of the fighters. Zoicite whirled around in shock, seeing the attacking warrior caught in mid motion. Standing to the side was Kunzite, his cape swirling in the mystic energies he conjured around him. “Remind me, Zoicite, to step up your training.” “Yes, my Lord,” Zoicite hung his head sadly. “These children,” and the dark lord spit the word out, “Are not our concern. Summon a few Youma to deal with them, then continue the search.” Zoicite’s emerald eyes gleamed and he threw three slivers into the air. Each sliver expanded to become a glittering portal through which dozens of Youma poured through. “Guys!” Ami cried, “I know what they are looking for!” “We’re a bit busy right now,” Mars shouted back, leaping to get a better position to call an attack. “It can’t wait! The artifact they want could possibly be more powerful than Silver Crystal!” “That’s not possible!” Sailor Moon declared, flourishing her moon scepter getting ready to blast a number of Youma. As they fought, more and more creatures came through the open gateways. “Ok, that has got to stop,” Jordan commented. “I could possibly find a way to close the doors,” George called as he sliced an orange youma in half. “Then do it, dammit!” Frank cursed, ducking from a blast. Mina flipped across the room, smacking Youma left and right with her golden battle chain. “Ok, this is what we do, Mars, Jupiter, Moon, Soul Warden and Soul Whip stay here and fight. I’ll go with Mercury and er, Man, to try to find Zoicite and Kunzite!” “And the artifact!” Ami added as the three ran out of the room. *** Cathy surrounded herself in Green Energy, feeling the full power of the second-to-last Green Lantern ring as it flowed through her and through her ring. In her euphoric haze, she saw a figure appear before her. “Sailor Oa,” He intoned in a deep sexy voice. “What? Who? Tuxedo Mask?” “Yes. Sailor Oa, you must listen to me. Sailor Moon and the others are in great danger. Only you can help them. But you must be careful, there is a great evil…” he never got the chance to finish for he faded into the green mist. Cathy came to on the soft tar roof, shook her head to get the kinks out of it, and turned to the man standing next to her. “Green Lantern,” Cathy said softly, “I have to go…” “What? We haven’t even finished the training,” he protested, shaking gorgeous black locks out of his face. She stood at the edge of the roof, her hair blown back perfectly by the wind. GL thought he had never seen a woman look sexier or more powerful. “Don’t you see? My friends are in danger! I have to go!” She turned back to him, “I’ll never forget you, or the help you’ve given me.” She held up her ring. “Green Lantern Power! MAKE UP!” Once again the green swirled about her, but this time her Sailor fuku looked more like Green Lantern’s uniform, only with a skirt. “Goodbye Green Lantern,” She called, leaping off of the building and taking flight. Now she had to find her friends. *** 4:30 PM New York City Penn Station Sean awaited a bus, there was little time. He could feel the dark energies converging, and they were strong. “C’mon, c’mon,” he murmured, hopping on the A-train that was packed with commuters. Rush hour was about to begin. *** “Just what are we looking for?” Frank gasped between breaths as he chased Ami down the halls of the MET. “A Black Crystal, an opposite to the Silver Crystal in every way. It’s dormant right now, and I think I’ve determined its location! We have to get there before Kunzite and Zoicite!” “Of course we do,” Frank sighed, “But who are those guys?” “It’s a long story,” Mina shot back at him, “Remind me to tell you another time.” “Here!” Ami cried, turning down a hall. “It’s just through this door. “Let me guess,” Frank muttered, “It’s hidden in plain sight, a diamond or something.” He was more than surprised when they turned into a woman’s bathroom. “Whoah, I didn’t sign up for this!” “Just get in,” Mina closed the door, “Is it somehow hidden in here, Ami? Part of the structure of the building?” “You could say that,” Ami followed the beeping on her computer. “Who are you? What are you doing in here!” A confused elderly woman gasped as she came out of the stall. “Figments of your imagination,” Frank said seriously, “I think you should talk to you doctor about increasing your medication, now please leave.” She took one look at Frank and disappeared out the door. Ami was unscrewing a light fixture above the mirror. “This is it.” “You’re kidding me? A f**king light bulb?” Frank cried. “I do wish you would watch your language,” Ami sighed. “Hurry, we must get back to the others.” As they ran out of the bathroom, they nearly barreled over Zoicite, who had been looking for a bathroom. “What the?” “Don’t let him get it!” Ami cried. “Mercury bubbles BLAST!” In the confusion and multitudinous soap bubbles, Ami hoped to lose Zoicite, however she had inadvertently given him vital information. The Senshi had the crystal. He immediately teleported to his Kunzite. They would get it back together. *** The three errant fighters ran back into the Hall of Medieval Armor just as Sailor Moon “healed” the last of the Youma. Ami held forth the crystal, “Guys, we got it, oomph!” She tripped, the crystal flying from her hand as she landed hard on the marble floor. “Now that’s out of character,” Mina remarked, “Usually Usagi’s the one who klutzes out.” The light bulb covering soared across the room until it landed safely in Zoicite’s hands. He had teleported into the room a moment earlier. “Not so fast!” Jordan cried, rushing the smaller man. Zoicite tumbled from the force of Jordan’s body and once again the crystal went flying. Most of the Senshi dived for it as it scattered across the ground. They fell into a pile of people and the crystal rolled away from them to Kunzite’s feet. He grinned evilly as he picked it up. “Stop right there! You can’t play with a light bulb fixture without a light bulb! In the name of the planet Oa, for the honor of the Guardians of the Universe, I am Sailor Green Lantern!” A voice came from the entrance to the hall where a girl in a black fuku and Green mask cried. “Sailor Who?” The good guys intoned. “It’s me guys,” Cathy sighed, pulling off her mask. “Green Lantern Laser BLAST!” Her new attack was centered in her hands and formed a glowing green laser that struck the object out of Kunzite’s hands. It clattered to her feet. “What’s the big deal about this thing anyway?” She reached down to pick it up. As she did so a figure ran in from the opposite end of the room screaming “NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, DON’T DO IT!” “What?” She asked as she stood, clasping the crystal. In her hands, it began to glow and change shape from a simple light fixture into a fist sized rock that gleamed with a dark light. The light swirled from her hands and then covered Sailor Green Lantern’s body. The others shielded their eyes. Once it dissipated, Sailor GL was gone and in her place was a girl with long black ponytails done in the same Odango style as Sailor Moon, she wore a long black sleeveless gown that flowed around her as she began to hover in the air. “You fools, now you shall submit to the power of Sailor Dark Moon!” “There’s a joke here, but somehow, I can’t think of it,” Frank muttered. A dark gateway opened above them, as Queen Calamity from earlier in the story stepped out. “Ah, my daughter, you have finally awakened!” “I think,” Rei said softly, “That we are in a bit of trouble…” To be Concluded Author’s Notes It’s finally done.
