| The hot conditions leading up to our show weekend may have deterred a few showies from attempting the trek to Elliston, nonetheless we had 56 entries for the ever popular Elliston Show Weekend. In its 9th year, the show has made itself a firm favourite on the showing calendar, we pride ourselves in providing a jam packed full program for both showjumpers and hackies alike, a fun night under lights, ribbons, prize money, prizes for the upcoming jockeys of the future, garlands and of course wonderful sponsors that enable us to give a little back to our competitors. Our Judges for the back to back rings on Saturday were confidently judged by Christine Thomas and Annette Hudd of Kadina. From all accounts they enjoyed their time in our seaside town and were impressed with the quality of horses shown. At the conclusion of both Rings A and B on the Saturday, both judges came together firstly to decide the Champion Show Hunter of the show, and then the Supreme Champion of the Show. "KOLBEACH CHAMPION SHOW HUNTER", sponsored by Kolbeach Stud, was awarded to Willowcroft Garland who is owned and ridden by Lucy Forrest. |
