DESCRIPTION
Oberon G39 is specially designed to give optimum lubrication to heavy duty industrial and automotive type applications (especially outdoor applications) where a fibred structure and extreme water resistance are needed.
CHARACTERISTICS
EXCELLENT WATER RESISTANCE
Conventional and specialty greases are suceptible to water action and wash out fast, causing equipment failure and creating the need for frequent re-lubrication. Oberon G39 has excellent water resistance. It features an extremely high drop point and can be used in high water wash conditions with superior oxidation resistance abilities.
COHESIVE / ADHESIVE QUALITIES
The superior fibrous nature of Oberon G39 offers excellent adhesion to metal surfaces and will not squeeze out of bearing surfaces under shock load conditions. Oberon G39 has the ability to withstand severe conditions and high temperature and will not break down or disintegrate, as conventional grease will.
EXTREME TEMPERATURE STABILITY
Oberon G39 retains its texture and lubricity in both high and low temperatures. Ordinary greases thin out at high temperatures, turning into liquid and then dripping off the surfaces intended for lubrication (Oberon G39 has an exceptionally high drop point of 565 degree Fahrenheit). At low temperatures, most greases harden and solidify, making lubrication impossible. Solidifying also results in extreme drag and thus waste energy.
SUPERIOR CORROSION RESISTANCE
Lithium complex grease utilizes an additive system that is high in sulphur content and can be corrosive to certain metals. Oberon G39 is formulated to withstand shock-loading conditions without using corrosive type additives.
VERSATILE APPLICATION
Oberon G39 is formulated to be applied to a wide range of industrial and automotive equipment. These include heavy construction equipment and vehicles, surface mining equipment, farm implement and logging equipment. Specific applications include ball joints, fifth wheel, hitch bushings, axle pivots, driveshafts, kingpins, open gears, brake pedal pins, wheel bearings, clutch bearings, swivel bearings, conveyors, suspension fittings, track adjusters and tie rod ends.
